In einem weiteren Schritt wird die ausgewählte Software auf einem Server installiert und versucht diese in einen betriebsbereiten Zustand zu bringen und einen Standardprozess abzubilden. Mit Hilfe ausgearbeiteter Kriterien wird analysiert ob in einem kleinen bis mittleren Unternehmen damit gearbeitet werden könnte. Das Ergebnis des Selbstversuchs ist, dass alle Ziele erreicht werden konnten. Eine Ausnahme bildet die Webshop-Implementierung, welche aufgrund eines Softwarefehlers nicht beendet werden konnte und dass das Ergebnis des Versuchs nicht auf andere Testleiter übertragen werden kann.
