The number of transistors in integrated circuits doubles every two years, as stipulated by Moore's law, and this has been the driving force for the huge development of the microelectronics industry in the past 50 years – currently advanced to the nanometric scale. In dem Buch Elektrischer Strom und Oberflächenladungen wird die elektrische Kraft zwischen einem Ladungsträger und einem relativ dazu ruhenden gleichstromführenden Leiterkreis untersucht. Anhand vorgestellter Experimente und analytischer Berechnungen wird die Existenz einer solchen Kraft aufgezeigt und damit den Aussagen vieler Wissenschaftler widersprochen. Das Ausmaß dieser Kraft ist proportional zur Spannung der an den ohmschen Leiter angeschlossenen Batterie. Das Buch enthält weiterhin Berechnungen des Potentials und des elektrischen Feldes innerhalb und außerhalb gleichstrom-führender ohmscher Leiter, sowie die Verteilung von Ladungsträgern längs der Oberfläche der Leiter, wodurch diese elektrischen Felder bewirkt werden. The Electric Force of a Current analyzes the electric force between a charge and a circuit carrying a steady current when they are at rest relative to one another. It presents experiments and analytical calculations showing the existence of this force, contrary to the statements of many scientists. The force is proportional to the voltage of the battery connected to the resistive circuit. It also includes calculations of the potential and electric field inside and outside resistive conductors carrying steady currents, and the distribution of charges along the surface of the conductors that generate this field. It contains two appendices that discuss the pioneering and revolutionary works of Wilhelm Weber and Gustav Kirchhoff, and a substantial bibliography of modern literature on the topic.
