This paper aims to study the law of pressure behavior and the characteristics of mutual influence in the process of steeply inclined coal seam mining. Based on the geological and engineering conditions of the B8 coal seam in Nanshan coal mine, this paper explores the law of mine pressure behavior in the process of steeply inclined coal seam mining by means of theoretical analysis and FLAC3D numerical simulation. Based on this, this paper also examines the influence of the interaction range between coal seams, the reasonable setting size of the section coal pillar, and the mining distance of the working face on the return air roadway. The results suggest as follows: (1) With an increase in the coal seam dip angle, the difference in the abutment pressure plastic zone between upper and lower coal pillars increases, and when mining in steeply inclined coal seams, the stress concentration in the lower and upper part of the working face deviates to the roof and floor respectively, which is obviously different from that of gently inclined coal seams. (2) The vertical stress above the section coal pillar changes in three stages with an increase in the width of the coal pillar, and the width of the coal pillar in the second stage can be taken as the reasonable size of the width of the coal pillar. The numerical simulation results are consistent with the theoretical calculation results, which indicate the high reliability of this method in determining the reasonable coal pillar size. (3) With an increase in the mining distance in steeply inclined coal seams, the maximum pressure around the working face and above the return air roadway has gone through three stages. When the distance between the working face and the adjacent return air roadway is close, the pressure above the return air roadway increases sharply, and disturbance is stronger. As the underground space is relatively closed compared to other buildings, the space is hardly connected to the outside world through entrances and exits, which makes it difficult to ventilate and exchange heat with the outside. In this case, it is easy to cause a large number of casualties when a fire breaks out. When the fire happens smoke will be discharged merely by the mechanical exhaust, and air system should work simultaneously to replenish the oxygen inside. By setting four-group models, the paper analyzes the strategies for smoke extraction and air makeup in the underground construction. The paper points out that when the fire happens in a smoke bay, the neighborhood smoke extraction fan should be opened and the air makeup system should not be located at the top to disturb the smoke layer. By comparing and analyzing the performance of the smoke extraction and air conditioning system, the casualties caused by the high temperature toxic smoke from the fire can be reduced as far as possible. This paper studies the aircraft air circulation system and proposes a new architecture of the aircraft air circulation system. Combined with the neural network algorithm, the numerical simulation results of turbine, compressor, and heat exchanger are fitted and predicted, and the accuracy of the simulation model is verified by comparing with the experimental results. Comparing and analyzing the booster, F-15, F-35, and the newly proposed air circulation system, the engine bleed air volume consumed by the system under different flight conditions is obtained. The results show that the newly proposed air circulation system can save up to 71.4% of the engine bleed air compared with the simple boost and 29.8% of the engine bleed air compared with the F-35. In order to solve the flood discharge problem of both small- and medium-sized warping dams in the Loess Plateau, a stepped spillway scheme, based on an ecological bag, to achieve full-section water flow and energy dissipation has been proposed in this paper. The hydraulic and energy dissipation characteristics of a stepped spillway layout scheme were studied using 3D numerical simulation. As the height of the dams is low and the spillways are short, the research has shown that the traditional single-step layout scheme leads to a low overall energy dissipation rate due to the small amount of energy dissipated in the initial steps. As a result of this, this paper has put forward two kinds of step layout schemes such as the shunt type and the staggered type for the initial steps. Through analysis of the flow state, the pressure distribution, and the total energy dissipation rate, the results have shown that shunt type and staggered type with front step deformation produced an obvious mixing of the water flow, fewer negative pressure areas, and a higher energy dissipation rate. With the continuous popularization and development of highway traffic in mountainous areas, the number of rock slopes is also increasing. In order to improve the stability of rock slope and reduce the harm caused by slope slip, this paper carries out numerical simulation of rock slope sliding based on particle swarm optimization algorithm. Firstly, this paper combines the differential evolution algorithm and simplex method to improve the global and local search ability of particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and analyzes the performance of the algorithm. ABAQUS software is used to simulate rock slope sliding, the finite element method is used to analyze the stability of rock slope, and LS-DYNA program is used to simulate rockfall impact rock slope. During the numerical simulation, the improved algorithm is used to analyze all the data. Experimental data show that the improved PSO algorithm converges after nearly 100 iterations and the convergence speed and optimization accuracy are high. In the numerical simulation, the average failure probability of the left and right sides of the main section at the top, middle, and foot of the slope is 0.0820 and 0.0723, 0.0772 and 0.0492, and 0.0837 and 0.0677, respectively, indicating that the overall instability probability of the left side of the rock slope is higher than that of the right side. The rock slope with the same direction through joint is mainly affected by the joint at the toe of the slope, the rock slope with reverse through joint is mainly affected by the joint in the slope, and the sliding occurs from the middle to both ends. In addition, with the increase of the size and height of rockfall, the total energy of rock slope is also increasing, and the possibility and degree of rock slope sliding are higher. This shows that the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm can effectively analyze some factors affecting slope slip in numerical simulation of saturated rock slope slip. Small and microenterprises are most affected during the COVID-19 epidemic period. Despite the government introducing many preferential policies, financing for small and microenterprises is still difficult. Based on evolutionary game theory and Matlab r2017b software, this paper discusses the causes of financing problems from two aspects. By taking loan amount, loan interest rate, guarantee value, and intermediary business income as variables, the research shows that banks not only pay attention to the comprehensive return of small and microenterprises but also pay more attention to the coverage of loan principal and interest by the value of collateral. Relying on collateral for credit is still the main way, and the lack of collateral causes financing difficulties of small and microenterprises. In this paper, two different nonlinear coupled Markovian switching delayed network models with multiple weights are established, and the effects of parameter and model uncertainties and external disturbances are fully considered. Firstly, based on the finite-time theory, several sufficient conditions for the finite-time synchronization of Markovian switching networks are obtained. Secondly, under the feedback controller with adaptive laws, when the synchronization of the networks is achieved in a finite time, the uncertain parameters of the networks can also be identified as true values. In this paper, a novel chaotic new three-dimensional system has been studied by Zhang et al. in 2012. In the system, there are three control parameters and three different nonlinear terms which governed equations. Zhang et al. studied elementary (preliminary) dynamic properties of the chaotic new three-dimensional system by means of bifurcation diagram, maximum Lyapunov exponent, phase portraits, dynamics behaviors by changing some parameters etc., using all possible theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. Finite element method is an important method to solve mathematical problems in engineering. Many mathematical equations are difficult to solve, but it becomes very simple after using the finite element method. In this paper, the finite element method is applied to the calculation of gravity anomaly. First, the variational equation of gravity anomaly calculation is established, and then the gravity anomaly value ten times the distance away from the anomaly body is used as the boundary condition. By comparing the gravity anomaly obtained by solving the stiffness matrix with the analytical solution, it can be found that the method in this paper has high accuracy. Finally, the model of Jinchuan copper nickel deposit is used for calculation, and the calculated gravity anomaly field is inverted with Growth3D. In this paper, the mutual information between the received signals and the source in the coprime linear array is investigated. In Shannon's information theory, the mutual information is used to quantify the reduction in the priori uncertainty of the transmitted message. Similarly, the spatial information in the coprime array is the mutual information between direction of arrival (DOA), source amplitude, and received signals. Such information content is composed of two parts. The first part is DOA information, and the second one is scattering information. In a single source scenario, we derive the theoretical expression and its asymptotic upper bound of DOA information. The corresponding expression of scattering information is also formulated theoretically. Besides, the application of spatial information is discussed. We can obtain the optimal array configuration by maximizing the DOA information of the coprime array. Similarly, the information is also used to quantify the performance difference between the coprime array and uniform array. In addition, the entropy error is employed to evaluate the estimation performance based on spatial information. Numerical simulation of the information content confirms our theoretical analysis. In this paper, we establish a new fixed-time stability theorem, which provides a novel fixed-time stability criterion and a novel upper bound estimate formula for the settling time. Numerical simulations show that the upper bound estimate for the settling time in this paper is tighter than those given in the existing fixed-time stability theorems. By designing a simple feedback controller, the fixed-time synchronization of neural networks with discrete delay is investigated based on the fixed-time stability theorem established in this paper. In the B-F reserve model, it is a very critical step to estimate the claim means of the accident year. However, the traditional method uses the prior estimators of the claim means based on the personal experience of actuaries or historical data. This method inevitably carries the subjectivity of the actuary himself. In this paper, a stochastic B-F model is established, and a prior distribution is constructed for the claim means in the accident year. The idea of the credibility theory is used to derive the linear Bayesian estimators of claim means. Finally, the empirical Bayesian method is used to estimate the first two moments of the prior distribution, and the empirical Bayesian estimators of the claim means and the corresponding reserves are derived. The estimators obtained in this paper do not depend on the specific forms of the sample distribution and the prior distribution and can be used directly in practice. In the numerical simulation, our estimates are compared with the traditional B-F estimates and the chain ladder estimates. The paper investigates the dynamical behaviors of a two-species discrete predator-prey system with Crowley–Martin functional response incorporating prey refuge proportional to prey density. The existence of equilibrium points, stability of three fixed points, period-doubling bifurcation, Neimark–Sacker bifurcation, Marottos chaos, and Control Chaos are analyzed for the discrete-time domain. The time graphs, phase portraits, and bifurcation diagrams are obtained for different parameters of the model. Numerical simulations and graphics show that the discrete model exhibits rich dynamics, which also present that the system is a chaotic and complex one. This paper proposes and investigates a problem of preview tracking control for a class of continuous-time singular interconnected systems. Firstly, the related items are deleted to obtain several isolated subsystems with low dimensions. An error system is constructed for each isolated subsystem so that the tracking error is included in the state vector of the error system; then, the tracking problem is transformed into a regulation problem. Secondly, the preview tracking controller is designed for each error system and obtained controllers are combined as the controller of the error system of the singular interconnected system. Thirdly, the Lyapunov function method is utilized to determine the constraints of the related terms so that the closed-loop system of the error system of the singular interconnected system is stable under the action of the controller obtained. Finally, the preview tracking controller of the singular interconnected system is obtained from the relationship between the error system and the original system. A numerical simulation algorithm for continuous-time singular systems is also proposed in this paper. The numerical simulation illustrates the effectiveness of the theoretical results. In order to solve coupled fractional differential-integral equations more effectively and to deal with the problem that the huge algebraic equations lead to considerable computational complexity and large data storage requirements in the calculation process, this paper approximates the function of the unknown solution based on the Chebyshev wavelet of the second kind and then combines the collocation method to solve the numerical solution of nonlinear fractional Fredholm integral-differential equations. By using the proposed method, the original problem can be reduced to a system of linear algebraic equations, which can be easily solved by some mathematical techniques. In addition, the convergence analysis of the system based on the second kind of Chebyshev wavelet is studied. Several numerical test problems are presented, and the absolute error values under different fractional orders are given, which proves the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed method. Three-dimensional free bending is a new tube forming technology with continuous variable curvature. In order to improve the forming quality of tube, this paper studies the principle of three-dimensional free forming system and the numerical calculation of bending moment in detail, and it uses the finite element simulation to model the mechanism in the bending process. The simulation model is used to simulate the forming process of copper tube, and the influence of key process parameters on the forming process is analyzed,the shape of the inner cavity of the bending die and the gap between the tube and the bending die are studied, the distance between the bending die and the guide column is studied, the axial feed rate on the forming quality of tubular bending parts has also been studied. This paper introduces the chaotic fractional-order Sprott Q system and its dynamics. The double compound combination of eight fractional-order chaotic synchronizations was investigated. This kind of synchronization is considered a generalization of many types of synchronization given in the literature. The analytical formula of the control functions is developed and proven using the tracking control method. As we know the fractional derivatives of two multiple functions are very difficult to calculate, and the tracking control method is more suitable for this kind of synchronization. This technique's communication is more secure and reliable because there are more drive and response systems. To achieve the proposed synchronization, four driving and four response identical chaotic systems are used as an example. This scheme may be used in many applications such as secure communications and safe information. Using the proposed double compound-combination synchronization is an example given to encrypt a message. The analytical results were confirmed by numerical simulation, and we found good agreement. In this paper, we investigate the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation problem with unfolded coprime linear array (UCLA) and propose a low computational complexity signal-subspace fitting (SF) algorithm. SF algorithm is able to achieve excellent DOA estimation performance while it requires global angular search (GAS). Especially in the several source signals situation, expensive complexity cost causes. To decrease computational complexity, we propose an initialized based SF (ISF) algorithm, which involves the several one dimensional (1D) partial angular search (PAS) instead of the multidimensional GAS. Consequently, the complexity is significantly decreased. Due to the full utilization of the array aperture, the proposed method in UCLA can attain better performance than general CLA (GCLA). In addition, as the SF is attractive in practical application, the proposed ISF algorithm lowers the computational cost, while achieving almost approximate estimation performance as traditional SF and noise subspace fitting (NF). In this study, the multi-point plastic forming of 2024-O aluminum alloy sheets is the research object, ultrasonic vibration-assisted forming is applied in the stamping process, a combination of ABAQUS/EXPLICITE numerical simulation and theory is used, and multi-point forming experiments are performed to verify the research. In the process of multi-point forming, the influence of ultrasonic vibration on the plastic deformation and springback of sheet metal has inspired a new idea and method for multi-point forming of sheet metal. This paper presents the following: the basic theory of multi-point stamping and ultrasonic vibration-assisted metal sheet plastic forming; a comparison of the material parameters of the multi-point stamping method with and without ultrasonic vibration; the influence of different times on the results; the changes in parameters such as stress and strain at different frequencies; and the effect of its springback. In this paper, fractional calculus is applied to establish a novel fractional-order ferroresonance model with fractional-order magnetizing inductance and capacitance. Some basic dynamic behaviors of this fractional-order ferroresonance system are investigated. And then, considering noncommensurate orders of inductance and capacitance and unknown parameters in an actual ferroresonance system, this paper presents a novel fractional-order adaptive backstepping control strategy for a class of noncommensurate fractional-order systems with multiple unknown parameters. The virtual control laws and parameter update laws are designed in each step. Thereafter, a novel fractional-order adaptive controller is designed in terms of the fractional Lyapunov stability theorem. The proposed control strategy requires only one control input and can force the output of the chaotic system to track the reference signal asymptotically. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a noncommensurate fractional-order ferroresonance system with multiple unknown parameters. In order to better study the propagation law of tunnel blasting in mountain landforms, taking the excavation blasting project of the Yangliu tunnel along the Yinsong expressway in Guizhou as the research object, the propagation law of vibration waves to tunnel blasting under the mountain tunnel was analyzed based on the ABAQUS finite element software and compared with the field monitoring data. The results show the peak vibration velocity of numerical simulation. Generally, the simulation value is slightly larger than the field monitoring value, but the average error of closing speed is less than 25% and the maximum error is less than 45%. The component velocity of surface peak vibration under blasting to load is the largest in the vertical direction. The "cavity effect" formed by the side-passing tunnel wall has the most significant amplification effect on the peak vibration velocity in the X direction of the rock and soil above it, which is about 1.62∼1.85 times and the resultant velocity is enlarged by 1.27∼1.45 times. Blasting vibration waves spread to the surface in the form of spherical waves inside the mountain, causing the vibration center of the surface to move to the area with lower elevation. The "cavity effect" caused by the side-through tunnel and the shift of the surface diffusion center to the lower part together led to the peak velocity of the lower measuring point of the Yangliu tunnel being much higher than that of the higher measuring point. The research results of this paper have certain reference significance in controlling the influence of underground blasting vibration on residential buildings in mountain areas. Microelectromechanical system (MEMS)-based devices have gained attention recently due to their beneficial biomedical applications. MEMS-based devices like microneedles have set new trends in drug delivery, vaccination, skin, and eye treatment. Different materials like metals, sugars, polymers, and silicon have been used for fabrication. Various techniques have been used for their fabrication, including laser ablation, lithography, injection molding, and additive manufacturing. The tip diameter of different micron ranges has been achieved. The strength and stiffness of the microneedle's tip have always been important in fabricating microneedles so that it does not break on insertion. This research paper presents a comparison between silver (Ag) and copper (Cu) solid microneedles by performing numerical analysis using the fuzzy approach, structural simulation, and fabrication. Firstly, structural simulation has been performed in ANSYS software to test the strength of silver (Ag) and copper (Cu) microneedles separately. The purpose is to compare the stress effect and fracture limit of both microneedles. The results collected from the simulation provide valuable target and prediction facts to fabricate improved designs of the solid Ag and Cu microneedles. Then, fuzzy-based numerical analysis has been performed in MATLAB software for both microneedles separately. In this numerical analysis, the effect on the range of microneedle tip diameter and cone length has been observed by varying input voltage and time. Finally, fabrication has been performed using a novel economical technique such as electrochemical etching. Electrochemical etching is a very low-cost and clean room-free technique as compared to other techniques used for the fabrication of microneedles. The fabrication technique adopted in this work is the same for both silver and copper microneedles. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) characterization has been performed for both fabricated microneedle tips. The tip of the fabricated solid Ag and Cu microneedle has been then coated with drugs using the dip-coating method. The coated solid Ag and Cu microneedle's tip has been then characterized again using SEM. The numerical results calculated from the fuzzy analysis have been then compared with fabrication results. The fuzzy analysis gives the simulated size of the microneedle's tip for 5.05 μm silver and 5.12 μm copper which have very close approximation with the experimental values from the SEM micrographs which also give the values of the cone length from 400 to 500 μm and the tip size from 5 to 6 μm for the time of 10–15 minutes, whose values were optimized by the fuzzy analysis. The results of this research provide valuable benchmark and prediction data to fabricate improved designs of the silver solid microneedles for drug delivery and other biomedical applications. Precast technology is increasingly favoured by bridge engineers, and the seismic performance of precast bridge piers urgently needs to be addressed. Precast piers have a complex load-bearing mechanism, and their design method has not been clearly determined. Fibre plastic hinge theory can satisfactorily analyse the seismic performance of precast piers. In this study, the seismic performance of precast piers is analysed through numerical simulation of pier columns based on the pseudostatic testing of a set of existing precast piers and combined with fibre plastic hinge theory. The results show the following: With reasonable constructional measures, precast piers connected by grouted sleeves indeed have seismic performance similar to that of cast-in-place components. Finite-element programs can be employed to simulate the mechanical properties of steel rebars before yielding well but not those after yielding or under fatigue. When fibre plastic hinges are used for finite-element analysis, if the fibre cross-section is reasonably divided, the length of the plastic hinge has little influence on the results; otherwise, too densely distributed plastic hinges may lead to nonconvergence of the results in a later working condition. The plastic hinge method recommended in this paper, especially the sectional fibre-cross-section division method, can obtain the plastic hinge performance state, it can help save the test cost and make up for the shortage of test data. One of the most popular statistical models is a low-order polynomial response surface model, i.e., a polynomial of first order or second order. These polynomials can be used for global metamodels in weakly nonlinear simulation to approximate their global tendency and local metamodels in response surface methodology (RSM), which has been studied in various applications in engineering design and analysis. The order of the selected polynomial determines the number of sampling points (input combinations) and the resulting accuracy (validity, adequacy). This paper derives a novel method to obtain an accurate high-order polynomial while requiring fewer sampling points. This method uses a two-stage procedure such that the second stage modifies the low-order polynomial estimated in the first stage; this second stage does not require new points. This paper evaluates the performance of the method numerically by using several test functions. This paper presents the Semifree Flight theory used in a civil air traffic control (ATC) system to improve the capability of the traditional Free Flight mode. The progressiveness and hidden defects of the “Free Flight” model in civil aviation are analysed, and the Semifree Flight ATC system mode is introduced. Moreover, this paper presents the collaborative route planning method, which is the most important method used in the Semifree Flight ATC system. This collaborative route planning method can plan routes for each aircraft (either in flight or just before achieving flight) in real time, and the routes can satisfy all the safety constraints. This paper considers and reviews a number of known phenomenological models, used to describe hysteretic effects of various natures. Such models consider hysteresis system as a “black box” with experimentally known input and output, related via formal mathematical dependence to parameters obtained from the best fit to experimental data. In particular, we focus on the broadly used Bouc-Wen and similar phenomenological models. The current paper shows the conditions which the Bouc-Wen model must meet. An alternative mathematical model is suggested where the force and kinematic parameters are related by a first-order differential equation. In contrast to the Bouc-Wen model, the right hand side is a polynomial with two variables representing hysteresis trajectories in the process diagram. This approach ensures correct asymptotic approximation of the solution to the enclosing hysteresis cycle curves. The coefficients in the right side are also determined experimentally from the hysteresis cycle data during stable oscillations. The proposed approach allows us to describe hysteretic trajectory with an arbitrary starting point within the enclosed cycle using only one differential equation. This paper constructs a dynamic multiobjective location model; three objectives are considered: the first objective maximizes the total utility of relief supplies, the second objective minimizes the number of temporary facilities needed to operate, and the third objective maximizes the satisfaction for all demand points. We propose an improved NSGA-II to solve the optimization problem. The computational experiments are divided into two sections: In the first procedure, the numerical experiment is constructed by the classical functions ZDT1, ZDT2, and DTLZ2; the results show that the proposed algorithm generates the exact Pareto front, and the convergence and uniformity of the proposed algorithm are better than the NSGA-II and MOEA/D. In the second procedure, the simulation experiment is constructed by a case in emergency management; the results show that the proposed algorithm is more reasonable than the traditional algorithms NSGA-II and MOEA/D in terms of the three objectives. There have been many approaches for achieving the trajectory tracking control of parallel manipulator. However, these approaches are complex for calculating Lagrangian multipliers. In this paper, unlike the former approaches, a new approach of trajectory tracking control which is based on Udwadia-Kalaba approach is presented. Using this methodology, we can obtain a concise and explicit equation of motion and consider holonomic and nonholonomic constraint whether it is ideal or nonideal simultaneously. The most important difference is that we divide constraints into structural constraints and performance constraints in this paper. Structural constraints are used to establish dynamic model without regard for trajectory control. And performance constraints are used to represent the desired trajectory. For the parallel manipulator, a nonlinear dynamics system, its constraint forces are obtained by second-order constraints. And the numerical simulation in MATLAB shows the parallel manipulator’s movement meets the requirement; tracking trajectory is exact and perfect. This paper proposes that fire parameter data of smoke, temperature, and CO is fused by sparse representation algorithm. It designs a kind of overcomplete dictionary and obtains the sparse solution of fire recognition through L1 norm, L3/4 norm, L1/2 norm, and L1/4 norm, respectively, in order to select more suitable norm type. A comprehensive classification method is proposed for fire identification. The simulation results show that L1 norm and L3/4 norm are used to obtain the solution with remarkable sparsity and high accuracy. The comprehensive classification method is more effective than minimum residual method and sum of weight coefficients method. This paper uses DSP TMS320F28022 as the core chip, TC72 as the temperature sensor, MQ-7 as the CO gas sensor, and MQ-9 as the smoke sensor to design the hardware of fire detection system. This paper presents an extension of the double Heston stochastic volatility model by combining Hull-White stochastic interest rates. By the change of numeraire and quadratic exponential scheme, this paper develops a new simulation scheme for the extended model. By combining control variates and antithetic variates, this paper provides an efficient Monte Carlo simulation algorithm for pricing barrier options. Based on the differential evolution algorithm the extended model is calibrated to S&P 500 index options to obtain the model parameter values. Numerical results show that the proposed simulation scheme outperforms the Euler scheme, the proposed simulation algorithm is efficient for pricing barrier options, and the extended model is flexible to fit the implied volatility surface. Time-delayed feedback control is commonly used on the vehicle semiactive suspension system to improve ride comfort and safety. However, its performance on the suppression of road random excitation is less significant than that on the suppression of simple harmonic excitation. Therefore, this paper proposes a strategy of time-delayed feedback control with the vertical displacement of wheel and the method of optimizing its parameters based on equivalent harmonic excitation. The optimal parameters of the time-delayed feedback control are obtained in this way for the vehicle semiactive suspension system in its effective frequency band. The results of numerical simulation verify that the time-delayed feedback control with vertical wheel displacement and its parameter optimization based on equivalent harmonic excitation can significantly improve the ride comfort and stability. This paper proposes new mathematical models of representation, which can describe the dynamic behavior of large-scale nonlinear systems, such as an extended mathematical model of Volterra series, interconnected Hammerstein structures, and interconnected Wiener structures. In this research, we focus on the class of large-scale nonlinear systems, which are composed of several interconnected nonlinear subsystems. In this context, a discrete nonlinear mathematical model with unknown time-varying parameters, mono-variable, characterizes each interconnected subsystem operating in a deterministic or stochastic environment. An illustrative numerical simulation example of two interconnected nonlinear processes is provided to prove the validity and the performance of the developed theoretical results. A reasonable selection of the pillar mining plan is the key to ensure smooth mining in the goaf group, which plays an important part in safe production. In formulating and optimizing the pillar mining plan, the influence of the ground pressure evolution law should be fully considered. This paper first introduces two mining plans for pillars, and then, numerical simulations were used to analyze the two mining plans from four perspectives such as stress evolution law, stress concentration degree, force state of pillars, and weak marble layers. The results show that the mining plan 1 that retreats from the middle of the ore body to the two wings is the optimal as it can realize sequential mining in high-stress concentration areas at the middle section. In this paper, an unstable heat equation where the observation signal suffers from a given time delay has been considered. In order to remove the unstable boundary condition, the original system has been converted into the stabilizing system by backstepping transformation under which the form of the stabilizing controller can be obtained. For the sake of overcoming instability produced by the time delay, firstly, we construct the Luenberger observer and design the predictor. Then, the estimated output feedback controllers have been obtained based on the observer and predictor systems. It is shown that the closed-loop system is stable exponentially. To improve the efficiency of cable force adjustment of composite saddle anchor span of single-tower single-span ground-anchored suspension bridge, a strain incremental adjustment method is proposed. The analytical calculation model is established according to the relative spatial position of the cable strand and the saddle groove of the composite saddle, and the target cable force of the cable strands is calculated by the target position of the composite saddle in the cable-stayed bridge and construction phases. Considering the coupling relationship between the cable strand and the composite saddle, the calculation formula of the change in main span main cable force and anchor span cable force after the adjustment of a single cable strand is derived. Based on the condition of equilibrium of forces along the slip surface of the composite saddle, the slip amount of composite saddle after a round of cable strand adjustment is obtained, then the adjustment amount of actual construction of the cable strands is also obtained through the strain incremental adjustment method. With the help of a numerical simulation platform, the calculation program of the cable force adjustment of composite saddle anchor span is established by an iterative solution method. In this paper, taking the Jinsha River Bridge at Hutiao Gorge as a research object, the adjustment of cable force of composite saddle anchor span is analyzed and calculated. The research results indicate that the calculated cable force is obtained by the strain incremental adjustment method, and it is similar to the measured cable force. The cable strand adjustment and optimization method avoids excessive repeated stretching and relaxation of a single cable strand in the process of multiple rounds of cable strand adjustment and reduces the amount of construction adjustment. This paper presents a control scheme that allows height position regulation and stabilization for an unmanned planar vertical takeoff and landing aircraft system with an inverted pendular load. The proposed controller consists of nested saturations and a generalized proportional integral (GPI). The GPI controls the aircraft height and the roll attitude; the latter is used as the fictitious input control. Next, the system is reduced through linear transformations, expressing it as an integrator chain with a nonlinear perturbation. Finally, the nested saturation function-based controller stabilizes the aircraft's horizontal position and the pendulum's angle. Obtaining the control approach was a challenging task due to the underactuated nature of the aircraft, particularly ensuring the pendulum's upright position. The stability analysis was based on the second method of Lyapunov using a simple candidate function. The numerical simulation confirmed the control strategy's effectiveness and performance. Additionally, the numerical simulation included a comparison against a PD controller, where its corresponding performance indexes were estimated, revealing that our controller had a better response in the presence of unknown disturbances. In this paper, a two-delay HIV-1 virus model with delay-dependent parameters is considered. The model includes both virus-to-cell and cell-to-cell transmissions. Firstly, immune-inactivated reproduction rate R 0 and immune-activated reproduction rate R 1 are deduced. When R 1 > 1 , the system has the unique positive equilibrium E ∗. The local stability of the positive equilibrium and the existence of Hopf bifurcation are obtained by analyzing the characteristic equation at the positive equilibrium with the time delay as the bifurcation parameter and four different cases. Besides, we obtain the direction and stability of the Hopf bifurcation by using the center manifold theorem and the normal form theory. In mining engineering, the thick and hard roof threatens the safe production. Based on Reissner plate theory and combined with weighted residual method, with four edges clamped as the boundary conditions, this paper deduces the theoretical formula of the first breaking span of thick and hard roof. Based on Vlasov plate theory, with four edges simply supported as the boundary conditions, this paper deduces the theoretical formula of the periodic breaking span of thick and hard roof. The two formulas are used to verify the breaking span of thick and hard roof of Tashan Coal Mine, proving that its accuracy is higher than that of traditional beam theory. This paper studies the distribution characteristics of strain energy density in front of the coal seam during the mining process by numerical simulation, which is compared with the results of field microseismic experiments. It is found that the strain energy density of the coal seam has a good correlation with the probability of microseismic events. This paper provides theoretical support for more precise calculation of breaking span of the thick and hard roof and technical support for the practical stability analysis of the surrounding rock under the thick and hard roof. This paper concerns the problem of fixed/finite-time synchronization of hybrid coupled dynamical networks. The considered dynamical networks with multilinks contain only one transmittal time-varying delay for each subnetwork, which makes us get hold of more interesting and practical points. Two kinds of delay-dependent feedback controllers with multilinks as well as appropriate Lyapunov functions are defined to achieve the goal of fixed-time synchronization and finite-time synchronization for the networks. Some novel and effective criteria of hybrid coupled networks are derived based on fixed-time and finite-time stability analysis. A number of Suspen-Dome structures have been built, but there is some difficulty in using experimental data to obtain good modal parameters, especially modal damping. In this paper, an ANSYS numerical simulation of the 35.4 m span Suspen-Dome is presented. Firstly, the natural vibration characteristics of Suspen-Dome and dynamic response under some random forces were obtained. Then the results of the numerical simulation established that 60 modes are sufficient for a reasonable dynamic model. This model is used to represent the Suspen-Dome dynamic behavior, and OKID is then used to try to identify a model from simulated data. A 400-order model generated from OKID is shown to contain the 60 modes from ANSYS and is shown to give good predictions of the dynamic behavior of Suspen-Dome. Pressure regulator is a common device used to regulate the working pressure for plants and machines. In aerospace propulsion systems, it is used to pressurize liquid propellant rocket tanks at specified pressure for obtaining the required propellant mass flow rate. In this paper, a generalized model is developed to perform dynamic analysis of a pressure regulator so that constant pressure at outlet can be attained. A nonlinear mathematical model of pressure regulator is developed that consists of dynamic equation of pressure, temperature, equation of mass flow rate, and moving shaft inside regulator. The system of nonlinear and coupled differential equations is numerically simulated and computation of pressure and temperature is carried out for required conditions and given design parameters. Valve opening and mass flow rate are also found as a function of given inlet pressure and time. In the end, an analytical solution based on constant mass flow rate assumption is compared with nonlinear formulation. The results demonstrate a high degree of confidence in the nonlinear modeling framework proposed in this paper. The proposed model solves a real problem of liquid rocket propulsion system. For the real system under consideration, inlet pressure of regulator is decreased linearly from 150 bar to 60 bar and outlet pressure of nearly 15 bar is required from pressure regulator for the complete operating time of 19 s. Droplet sliding naturally happens with practical significance in developing artificial self-cleaning surfaces or impermeable barriers. On water-repellent soil surfaces, such processes evolve at very small scales, typically at the particle level. To address this, this paper presents a two-dimensional Lattice Boltzmann (LB) study on the droplet sliding dynamics on a layer of regularly arranged particles with varying size and contact angle (CA) aimed at mimicking conditions comparable to those of real soils. The numerical droplet is initialized above the inclined granular surface with different lifting distances and deposited by gravity. The droplet hits the surface with different impacting velocities and subsequently slides down the slope. Four droplet-sliding behaviors were observed: a droplet sticks to the granular surface, a droplet moves by pinning and depinning of its interface ("stick-slip"), a droplet undergoes periodic elongation and shortening during sliding, and a droplet lifts off the granular surface and may be ruptured. For a droplet that displays the "stick-slip" behavior, the sliding velocity reaches a converged terminal velocity, which increases with a higher CA, a more inclined slope, and a smaller particle size. However, nonunique terminal velocities were identified to be affected by the impacting velocities, but their correlation is not continuous and may not be positive. Finally, we propose to quantify the rotational or translational movement by effective kinematic ratio (EKR), which is defined as the translational kinematic energy divided by the total kinematic energy. The unique relation between the EKR and the terminal velocity is suggested to be one practical indicator to intrinsically characterize the water repellency at the particle level. Performance evaluation of trajectory tracking for a rotary flexible joint system is demonstrated in this paper. The robust and converse dynamic (RCD) technique is proposed and implemented for this evaluation. This control methodology is of the left inversion type, i.e., the control inputs are obtained by means of plant output error feedback. RCD control encompasses the baseline inverse (BI) control and sliding mode control-based discontinuous control element. The baseline inverse controller enforces the prescribed servo (virtual) constraints that represent the control objectives. The control objectives of the baseline inverse controller are enclosed in the form of servo (virtual) constraints which are inverted using Moore–Penrose Generalized Inverse (MPGI) to solve for the baseline control law. To boost the robust attributes against parametric uncertainties and disturbances, a discontinuous control function is augmented with baseline controller such that semiglobal practical stability is guaranteed in the sense of Lyapunov. To exhibit the effectiveness of RCD control in terms of tracking performance, computer simulations are conducted in Simulink/Matlab environment. Furthermore, the practical implementation is also investigated through a real-time experiment on Quanser's rotary flexible joint manipulator system. With the evolution of smart cities, images are used in a wide range of services such as smart healthcare and surveillance. How to ensure that images are transmitted and shared securely is of paramount importance for smart cities. To this end, a secure and efficient scheme for image transmission is proposed in this paper, which uses sparse signal transformation (SST) and parallel compressive sensing (CS). The primary employed techniques are sparse signal transformation (SST), parallel CS, and diffusion-permutation operation. The compression performance is achieved by parallel CS, whereas the encryption performance is derived from SST, parallel CS, and diffusion-permutation procedure. SST is exploited to change energy information before CS sampling and incorporated into diffusion-permutation framework, which not only balances the security and the efficiency of the algorithm, but also improves the transmission efficiency of the cipher image. We introduce chaotic system to generate the measurement matrix, SST matrix, and diffusion matrix to improve security. Recently, the design of sparse linear array for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation of non-Gaussian signals has attracted considerable interest due to the fact that the fourth-order difference coarray offered by non-Gaussian significantly increases the aperture of a virtual linear array, which improves the performance of DOA estimation. In this paper, a super four-level nested array (S-FL-NA) configuration based on fourth-order cumulants (FOC) is proposed. The S-FL-NA consists of uniform linear arrays which have different interelement spacing. The proposed array configuration is designed based on interelement spacing, which, for a given number of sensors, is uniquely determined by a closed-form expression. We also derive the closed-form expression for the degrees of freedom (DOFs) of the proposed array. The optimal distribution of the number of sensors in each uniform linear array of the proposed array is given for an arbitrary number of sensors. Compared with the existing sparse arrays, the proposed array can provide a higher number of degrees of freedom and a larger physical array aperture. In addition, to improve the calculation speed of the fourth-order cumulant matrix, we simplify the FOC matrix by removing some redundancy. In this paper, we propose an improved new class of exponential-ratio-type estimators for estimating the finite population mean using the conventional and the nonconventional measures of the auxiliary variable. Expressions for the bias and MSE are obtained under large sample approximation. Both simulation and numerical studies are conducted to validate the theoretical findings. Use of the conventional and the nonconventional measures of the auxiliary variable is very common in survey research, but we observe that this does not add much value in many of the estimators except for our proposed class of estimators. This paper investigates the synchronization problem of a novel fractal-fractional (FF) orders' hyperchaotic finance system with model uncertainty and external disturbance. This paper studies the stabilization problem for a class of unified chaotic systems subject to uncertainties and input nonlinearity. Based on the sliding mode control theory, we present a new method for the sliding mode controller design and the control law algorithm for such systems. In order to achieve the goal of stabilization unified chaotic systems, the presented controller can make the movement starting from any point in the state space reach the sliding mode in limited time and asymptotically reach the origin along the switching surface. Compared with the existing literature, the controller designed in this paper has many advantages, such as small chattering, good stability, and less conservative.
