Abstract

The article focuses on use of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in prostate cancer. Topics discussed include an information that addition of ADT to radiotherapy improves disease-free and overall survival; information on STAMPEDE which is a platform protocol using multi-arm, multi-stage trial designs to investigate novel treatment approaches in locally advanced or metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer; and information on Transdermal oestradiol (E2) and testosterone metabolism.
