Compared with the traditional trading model, the problem of information asymmetry in export cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) transactions actually exists. Since the buyers and sellers of export CBEC are located in different countries, it is difficult for both parties to make accurate judgments on each other's credit. Besides, the number of export CBEC financing is relatively small, and the financing situation is not optimistic. Fortunately, the Internet of Things (IOT) technology has a wide range of applications and strong social penetration, especially in e-commerce, which can effectively improve payment, logistics, and distribution. By employing the concept of the IOT, this paper expounds the application of the IOT in the e-commerce transaction process and the impact of the IOT on the development of e-commerce. Besides, this paper also proposes some security issues in the application of the IOT in e-commerce. In addition, this paper analyzes the relationship and development trend of CBEC and IOT technology; meanwhile, it also points out the practical problems currently faced by combining the regional advantage of a certain region. The e-commerce industry develops IOT technology and drives innovation-driven development in the region. In addition, this paper builds an evaluation index system for the development of export CBEC enterprises based on the analysis of the problems and reasons by using the sample data to train the BP neural network and using the test samples to test the model. It is found that the model accuracy rate is 89.47%. Then, this paper also takes the export CBEC company A as an example to conduct empirical research and to prove the operability of the credit evaluation model. The angle of progression (AoP) for assessing fetal head (FH) descent during labor is measured from the standard plane of transperineal ultrasound images as the angle between a line through the long axis of pubic symphysis (PS) and a second line from the right end of PS tangentially to the contour of the FH. This paper presents a multitask network with a shared feature encoder and three task-special decoders for standard plane recognition (Task1), image segmentation (Task2) of PS and FH, and endpoint detection (Task3) of PS. Based on the segmented FH and two endpoints of PS from standard plane images, we determined the right FH tangent point that passes through the right endpoint of PS and then computed the AoP using the above three points. In this paper, the efficient channel attention unit is introduced into the shared feature encoder for improving the robustness of layer region encoding, while an attention fusion module is used to promote cross-branch interaction between the encoder for Task2 and that for Task3, and a shape-constrained loss function is designed for enhancing the robustness to noise based on the convex shape-prior. We use Pearson's correlation coefficient and the Bland–Altman graph to assess the degree of agreement. The dataset includes 1964 images, where 919 images are nonstandard planes, and the other 1045 images are standard planes including PS and FH. We achieve a classification accuracy of 92.26%, and for the AoP calculation, an absolute mean (STD) value of the difference in AoP (∆ AoP) is 3.898° (3.192°), the Pearson's correlation coefficient between manual and automated AoP was 0.964 and the Bland-Altman plot demonstrates they were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) is widely utilized in the transportation, power, and energy domains because of its high input impedance and minimal on-voltage drop. IGBTs are frequently used in industrial applications for lengthy periods of time, collecting fatigue damage and eventually aging and failing, which can result in system shutdown and financial losses in severe circumstances. As a result, a study into the IGBT's reliability is extremely important. Fault prediction technology, which is an important aspect of reliability research, may analyze device state through changes in terminal parameters, anticipate aging trends, and issue early warnings at thresholds to avoid significant safety issues caused by IGBT aging failures. Therefore, the appropriate end parameters are selected as aging characteristic parameters, and fault prediction is performed. Therefore, this paper has carried out research on the IGBT fault prediction technology that integrates the terminal characteristics and artificial intelligence neural network. The main research contents include the following: (1) this paper starts from the basic principle of IGBT and the structure of its device and analyzes its failure mode on the failure of IGBT. The characteristic parameter of collector-emitter turn-off peak voltage value is selected for IGBT fault prediction, and the aging data of NASA PCoE Research Center is used to verify that the characteristic parameter can be used for fault prediction. (2) In view of the shortcomings of traditional fault forecasting methods, this paper proposes to use deep learning time series forecasting methods for fault forecasting. The LSTM is theoretically analyzed, and the prediction network is built. Governments require accurate tourism demand forecasting in order to make informed decisions on topics such as infrastructure development and lodging site planning; therefore, accurate tourism demand forecasting becomes vital. Artificial intelligence (AI) models such as neural networks and security violation report (SVR) have been used effectively in tourist demand forecasting as a result of the fast advancement of AI. This paper constructs a tourism demand forecasting model based on machine learning on the basis of the existing forecasting model research. The completed work is as follows: (1) It introduces a large number of domestic and foreign literatures on tourism volume forecasting and proposes the research content of this paper. (2) It is proposed to stack the long short-term memory- (LSTM-) based autoencoders deeply, by adopting a hierarchical greedy pretraining method to replace the random weight initialization method used in the deep network and combining this pretraining stage and fine-tuning network together to form the SAE-LSTM prediction model for improving the performance of deep learning models. (3) This paper uses the monthly search engine strength data of city A's monthly tourist volume and its related influencing factors as the data set; processes the data set to make the model adapt to the data input; uses mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), MAPE, and other model evaluation indicators; and uses LSTM and the constructed SAE-LSTM model to conduct comparative experiments to predict the number of tourist arrivals in four years. The prediction results of the models proposed in this paper are better than those of the LSTM model. Occupational identity is an individual's view, recognition, and approval of his long-term occupation, and its importance to every professional is self-evident. Only when a professional person agrees with the profession he is engaged in from the bottom of his heart can he devote himself wholeheartedly to it and unreservedly exert his greatest potential. On the basis of sorting out and analyzing the prevailing theoretical and empirical research results, this paper deliberates the empirical research on the influence mechanism between employees' occupational identity and occupational well-being. In this study, through big data analysis, literature search, questionnaire survey, and other methods, this paper obtained the professional identity data of employees in different companies and used a method of big data analysis, namely, BP neural network (BPNN) to design in this paper to verify the data, and finally obtain an effective theoretical model of the influence mechanism of occupational identity and occupational well-being. The main work of this paper is as follows: (1) it introduces the interpretation of the concept of "professional identity" by different scholars at home and abroad and makes a brief review of the researches on professional identity and professional well-being made by foreign scholars in recent years. (2) The basic knowledge and algorithm process of artificial neural network (ANN) are introduced, and the design of the evaluation model of the influence mechanism of occupational identity on occupational well-being based on BPNN is proposed. Aim. This comprehensive review is aimed at evaluating the diagnostic and prognostic accuracy of artificial intelligence in endodontic dentistry. Introduction. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a relatively new technology that has widespread use in dentistry. The AI technologies have primarily been used in dentistry to diagnose dental diseases, plan treatment, make clinical decisions, and predict the prognosis. AI models like convolutional neural networks (CNN) and artificial neural networks (ANN) have been used in endodontics to study root canal system anatomy, determine working length measurements, detect periapical lesions and root fractures, predict the success of retreatment procedures, and predict the viability of dental pulp stem cells. Methodology. The literature was searched in electronic databases such as Google Scholar, Medline, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Scopus, published over the last four decades (January 1980 to September 15, 2021) by using keywords such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, application, endodontics, and dentistry. Results. The preliminary search yielded 2560 articles relevant enough to the paper's purpose. A total of 88 articles met the eligibility criteria. The majority of research on AI application in endodontics has concentrated on tracing apical foramen, verifying the working length, projection of periapical pathologies, root morphologies, and retreatment predictions and discovering the vertical root fractures. Conclusion. In endodontics, AI displayed accuracy in terms of diagnostic and prognostic evaluations. The use of AI can help enhance the treatment plan, which in turn can lead to an increase in the success rate of endodontic treatment outcomes. Starting from December 2019, the global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is continuously expanding and has caused several millions of deaths worldwide. Fast and accurate diagnostic methods for COVID-19 detection play a vital role in containing the plague. Chest computed tomography (CT) is one of the most commonly used diagnosis methods. However, a complete CT-scan has hundreds of slices, and it is time-consuming for radiologists to check each slice to diagnose COVID-19. This study introduces a novel method for fast and automated COVID-19 diagnosis using the chest CT scans. The proposed models are based on the state-of-the-art deep convolutional neural network (CNN) architecture, and a 2D global max pooling (globalMaxPool2D) layer is used to improve the performance. We compare the proposed models to the existing state-of-the-art deep learning models such as CNN based models and vision transformer (ViT) models. Based off of metric such as area under curve (AUC), sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and false discovery rate (FDR), experimental results show that the proposed models outperform the previous methods, and the best model achieves an area under curve of 0.9744 and accuracy 94.12% on our test datasets. It is also shown that the accuracy is improved by around 1% by using the 2D global max pooling layer. Moreover, a heatmap method to highlight the lesion area on COVID-19 chest CT images is introduced in the paper. This heatmap method is helpful for a radiologist to identify the abnormal pattern of COVID-19 on chest CT images. In addition, we also developed a freely accessible online simulation software for automated COVID-19 detection using CT images. The robust segmentation of organs from the medical image is the key technique in medical image analysis for disease diagnosis. U-Net is a robust structure for medical image segmentation. However, U-Net adopts consecutive downsampling encoders to capture multiscale features, resulting in the loss of contextual information and insufficient recovery of high-level semantic features. In this paper, we present a new multibranch hybrid attention network (MHA-Net) to capture more contextual information and high-level semantic features. The main idea of our proposed MHA-Net is to use the multibranch hybrid attention feature decoder to recover more high-level semantic features. The lightweight pyramid split attention (PSA) module is used to connect the encoder and decoder subnetwork to obtain a richer multiscale feature map. We compare the proposed MHA-Net to state-of-art approaches on the DRIVE dataset, the fluoroscopic roentgenographic stereophotogrammetric analysis X-ray dataset, and the polyp dataset. Heart disease is among the leading causes of mortality globally. Predicting cardiovascular disease is a major difficulty in clinical data analysis. AI has been demonstrated to be powerful in deciding and anticipating an enormous measure of information created by the health domain. We provide a unique method for finding essential traits employing machine learning approaches in this paper, which enhances the effectiveness of identifying heart diseases. Decision tree (DT), support vector machine (SVM), artificial neural network (ANN), and K-nearest neighbor (KNN) are the classification techniques used to create the proposed system. Ensemble stacking integrates the four classification models to create a single best-fit predictive model using logistic regression. Many explorations have been directed at the identification of cardiac infection; however, the exactness of the outcomes is poor. Accordingly, to further enhance the efficiency, Moth-Flame Optimization (MFO) algorithm is proposed. The feature selection strategies are used to improve the classification accuracy while shortening the execution time of the classification system. Medical data are used to assess the probability of heart disease based on BP, age, gender, chest ache, cholesterol, blood sugar, and other variables. In the farming industry, the Internet of Things (IoT) is crucial for boosting utility. Innovative agriculture practices and medical informatics have the potential to increase crop yield while using the same amount of input. Individuals can benefit from the Internet of Things in various ways. The intelligent farms require the creation of an IoT-based infrastructure based on sensors, actuators, embedded systems, and a network connection. The agriculture sector will gain new advantages from machine learning and IoT data analytics in terms of improving crop output quantity and quality to fulfill rising food demand. This paper described an intelligent medical informatics farming system with predictive data analytics on sensing parameters, utilizing a supervised machine learning approach in an intelligent agricultural system. The four essential components of the proposed approach are the cloud layer, fog layer, edge layer, and sensor layer. The primary goal is to enhance production and provide organic farming by adjusting farming conditions as per plant needs that are considered in experimentation. The use of machine learning on acquired sensor data from a prototype embedded model is investigated for regulating the actuators in the system. Then, an analytics and decision-making system was built at the fog layer, employing two supervised machine learning approaches including classification and regression algorithms using a support vector machine (SVM) and artificial neural network (ANN) for effective computation over the cloud layer. The experimental results are evaluated and analyzed in MATLAB software, and it is found that the classification accuracy using SVM is much better as compared to ANN and other state of art methods. Traditional image segmentation methods often encounter problems of low segmentation accuracy and being time-consuming when processing complex tooth Computed Tomography (CT) images. This paper proposes an improved segmentation method for tooth CT images. Firstly, the U-Net network is used to construct a tooth image segmentation model. A large number of feature maps in downsampling are supplemented to downsampling to reduce information loss. At the same time, the problem of inaccurate image segmentation and positioning is solved. Then, the attention module is introduced into the U-Net network to increase the weight of important information and improve the accuracy of network segmentation. Among them, subregion average pooling is used instead of global average pooling to obtain spatial features. Finally, the U-Net network combined with the improved attention module is used to realize the segmentation of tooth CT images. And based on the image collection provided by West China Hospital for experimental demonstration, compared with other algorithms, our method has better segmentation performance and efficiency. Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of increasing deaths in women worldwide. The complex nature (microcalcification and masses) of breast cancer cells makes it quite difficult for radiologists to diagnose it properly. Subsequently, various computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems have previously been developed and are being used to aid radiologists in the diagnosis of cancer cells. However, due to intrinsic risks associated with the delayed and/or incorrect diagnosis, it is indispensable to improve the developed diagnostic systems. In this regard, machine learning has recently been playing a potential role in the early and precise detection of breast cancer. This paper presents a new machine learning-based framework that utilizes the Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Support Vector Machine, Artificial Neural Network, and Multilayer Perception approaches to efficiently predict breast cancer from the patient data. For this purpose, the Wisconsin Diagnostic Breast Cancer (WDBC) dataset has been utilized and classified using a hybrid Multilayer Perceptron Model (MLP) and 5-fold cross-validation framework as a working prototype. For the improved classification, a connection-based feature selection technique has been used that also eliminates the recursive features. The proposed framework has been validated on two separate datasets, i.e., the Wisconsin Prognostic dataset (WPBC) and Wisconsin Original Breast Cancer (WOBC) datasets. Pneumonia infection is the leading cause of death in young children. The commonly used pneumonia detection method is that doctors diagnose through chest X-ray, and external factors easily interfere with the results. Assisting doctors in diagnosing pneumonia in patients based on deep learning methods can effectively eliminate similar problems. However, the complex network structure and redundant parameters of deep neural networks and the limited storage and computing resources of clinical medical hardware devices make it difficult for this method to use widely in clinical practice. Therefore, this paper studies a lightweight pneumonia classification network, CPGResNet50 (ResNet50 with custom channel pruning and ghost methods), based on ResNet50 pruning and compression to better meet the application requirements of clinical pneumonia auxiliary diagnosis with high precision and low memory. First, based on the hierarchical channel pruning method, the channel after the convolutional layer in the bottleneck part of the backbone network layer is used as the pruning object, and the pruning operation is performed after its normalization to obtain a network model with a high compression ratio. Second, the pruned convolutional layers are decomposed into original convolutions and cheap convolutions using the optimized convolution method. The feature maps generated by the two convolution parts are combined as the input to the next convolutional layer. Further, we conducted many experiments using pneumonia X-ray medical image data. The results show that the proposed method reduces the number of parameters of the ResNet50 network model from 23.7 M to 3.455 M when the pruning rate is 90%, a reduction is more than 85%, FIOPs dropped from 4.12G to 523.09 M, and the speed increased by more than 85%. The model training accuracy error remained within 1%. Therefore, the proposed method has a good performance in the auxiliary diagnosis of pneumonia and obtained good experimental results. Rock and soil landslides, a regular geological disaster in engineering construction, endanger national property and, in severe circumstances, result in a huge number of casualties. A set of methods for landslide stability analysis and prediction has been established, with the academic idea of "geological process mechanism analysis-quantitative evaluation" at its core, combined with detailed field investigation of geological hazards, forming a relatively complete technical route for research on landslide stability analysis. The work of this paper can be summarized as follows: (1) Introduce the research status of geotechnical landslide stability at home and abroad and the current development trend of neural network. (2) Through the collected sample database, take the training function and the number of hidden layer neurons as variables to optimize the BP neural network, and combine the optimized BP neural network with the genetic algorithm to construct the GA-BP neural network. (3) The stability coefficients of the BP neural network, the genetic algorithm based back propagation neural network (GA-BPNN), and the limit equilibrium technique are analyzed and compared. Enhancers are noncoding fragments in DNA sequences, which play an important role in gene transcription and translation. However, due to their high free scattering and positional variability, the identification and classification of enhancers have a higher level of complexity than those of coding genes. In order to solve this problem, many computer studies have been carried out in this field, but there are still some deficiencies in these prediction models. In this paper, we use various feature extraction strategies, dimension reduction technology, and a comprehensive application of machine model and recurrent neural network model to achieve an accurate prediction of enhancer identification and classification with the accuracy of was 76.7% and 84.9%, respectively. It is important to study the evaluation algorithm for the stroke rehabilitation treatment effect to make accurate evaluation and optimize the stroke disease treatment plan according to the evaluation results. To address the problems of poor restoration effect of positron emission tomography (PET) image and recognition restoration effect of evaluation data and so on. In the paper, we propose a stroke rehabilitation treatment effect evaluation algorithm based on cross-modal deep learning. Magnetic resonance images (MRI) and PET of stroke patients were collected as evaluation data to construct a multimodal evaluation dataset, and the data were divided into positive samples and negative samples. According to the mapping relationship between MRI and PET, three-dimensional cyclic adversarial is used to generate the neural network model to recover the missing PET data. Using the cross-modal depth learning network model, the RGB image, depth image, gray image, and normal images of MRI and PET are taken as the feature images and the multifeature fusion method is used to fuse the feature images, output the recognition results of MRI and PET, and evaluate the effect of stroke rehabilitation treatment according to the recognition results. The results show that the proposed algorithm can accurately restore PET images, the evaluation data recognition effect is good, and the evaluation data recognition accuracy is higher than 95%. In this paper, we have proposed a novel methodology based on statistical features and different machine learning algorithms. The proposed model can be divided into three main stages, namely, preprocessing, feature extraction, and classification. In the preprocessing stage, the median filter has been used in order to remove salt-and-pepper noise because MRI images are normally affected by this type of noise, the grayscale images are also converted to RGB images in this stage. In the preprocessing stage, the histogram equalization has also been used to enhance the quality of each RGB channel. In the feature extraction stage, the three channels, namely, red, green, and blue, are extracted from the RGB images and statistical measures, namely, mean, variance, skewness, kurtosis, entropy, energy, contrast, homogeneity, and correlation, are calculated for each channel; hence, a total of 27 features, 9 for each channel, are extracted from an RGB image. After the feature extraction stage, different machine learning algorithms, such as artificial neural network, k -nearest neighbors' algorithm, decision tree, and Naïve Bayes classifiers, have been applied in the classification stage on the features extracted in the feature extraction stage. We recorded the results with all these algorithms and found that the decision tree results are better as compared to the other classification algorithms which are applied on these features. Hence, we have considered decision tree for further processing. We have also compared the results of the proposed method with some well-known algorithms in terms of simplicity and accuracy; it was noted that the proposed method outshines the existing methods. Deep convolutional networks have become a powerful tool for medical imaging diagnostic. In pathology, most efforts have been focused in the subfield of histology, while cytopathology (which studies diagnostic tools at the cellular level) remains underexplored. In this paper, we propose a novel deep learning model for cancer detection from urinary cytopathology screening images. We leverage recent ideas from the field of multioutput neural networks to provide a model that can efficiently train even on small-scale datasets, such as those typically found in real-world scenarios. Additionally, we argue that calibration (i.e., providing confidence levels that are aligned with the ground truth probability of an event) has been a major shortcoming of prior works, and we experiment a number of techniques to provide a well-calibrated model. We evaluate the proposed algorithm on a novel dataset, and we show that the combination of focal loss, multiple outputs, and temperature scaling provides a model that is significantly more accurate and calibrated than a baseline deep convolutional network. For the feature acquisition of the fetal heart rate (FHR) signal, the traditional feature-based classification methods need to manually read the morphological features from the FHR curve, which is time-consuming and costly and has a certain degree of calibration bias. This paper proposes a classification method of the FHR signal based on neural networks, which can avoid manual feature acquisition and reduce the error caused by human factors. The algorithm will directly learn from the FHR data and truly realize the real-time diagnosis of FHR data. The convolution neural network classification method named "MKNet" and recurrent neural network named "MKRNN" are designed. The main contents of this paper include the preprocessing of the FHR signal, the training of the classification model, and the experiment evaluation. Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a highly infectious disease that has captured the attention of the worldwide public. Modeling of such diseases can be extremely important in the prediction of their impact. While classic, statistical, modeling can provide satisfactory models, it can also fail to comprehend the intricacies contained within the data. In this paper, authors use a publicly available dataset, containing information on infected, recovered, and deceased patients in 406 locations over 51 days (22nd January 2020 to 12th March 2020). This dataset, intended to be a time-series dataset, is transformed into a regression dataset and used in training a multilayer perceptron (MLP) artificial neural network (ANN). The aim of training is to achieve a worldwide model of the maximal number of patients across all locations in each time unit. Hyperparameters of the MLP are varied using a grid search algorithm, with a total of 5376 hyperparameter combinations. Using those combinations, a total of 48384 ANNs are trained (16128 for each patient group—deceased, recovered, and infected), and each model is evaluated using the coefficient of determination (R 2). Cross-validation is performed using K-fold algorithm with 5-folds. Best models achieved consists of 4 hidden layers with 4 neurons in each of those layers, and use a ReLU activation function, with R 2 scores of 0.98599 for confirmed, 0.99429 for deceased, and 0.97941 for recovered patient models. When cross-validation is performed, these scores drop to 0.94 for confirmed, 0.781 for recovered, and 0.986 for deceased patient models, showing high robustness of the deceased patient model, good robustness for confirmed, and low robustness for recovered patient model. Deep neural networks have recently been applied to the study of brain disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with great success. However, the internal logics of these networks are difficult to interpret, especially with regard to how specific network architecture decisions are made. In this paper, we study an interpretable neural network model as a method to identify ASD participants from functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data and interpret results of the model in a precise and consistent manner. First, we propose an interpretable fully connected neural network (FCNN) to classify two groups, ASD versus healthy controls (HC), based on input data from resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) between regions of interests (ROIs). The proposed FCNN model is a piecewise linear neural network (PLNN) which uses piecewise linear function LeakyReLU as its activation function. We experimentally compared the FCNN model against widely used classification models including support vector machine (SVM), random forest, and two new classes of deep neural network models in a large dataset containing 871 subjects from ABIDE I database. The results show the proposed FCNN model achieves the highest classification accuracy. Second, we further propose an interpreting method which could explain the trained model precisely with a precise linear formula for each input sample and decision features which contributed most to the classification of ASD versus HC participants in the model. Breast segmentation and mass detection in medical images are important for diagnosis and treatment follow-up. Automation of these challenging tasks can assist radiologists by reducing the high manual workload of breast cancer analysis. In this paper, deep convolutional neural networks (DCNN) were employed for breast segmentation and mass detection in dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI). First, the region of the breasts was segmented from the remaining body parts by building a fully convolutional neural network based on U-Net++. Using the method of deep learning to extract the target area can help to reduce the interference external to the breast. Second, a faster region with convolutional neural network (Faster RCNN) was used for mass detection on segmented breast images. The dataset of DCE-MRI used in this study was obtained from 75 patients, and a 5-fold cross validation method was adopted. The statistical analysis of breast region segmentation was carried out by computing the Dice similarity coefficient (DSC), Jaccard coefficient, and segmentation sensitivity. For validation of breast mass detection, the sensitivity with the number of false positives per case was computed and analyzed. The Dice and Jaccard coefficients and the segmentation sensitivity value for breast region segmentation were 0.951, 0.908, and 0.948, respectively, which were better than those of the original U-Net algorithm, and the average sensitivity for mass detection achieved 0.874 with 3.4 false positives per case. Visual effects of medical image have a great impact on clinical assistant diagnosis. At present, medical image fusion has become a powerful means of clinical application. The traditional medical image fusion methods have the problem of poor fusion results due to the loss of detailed feature information during fusion. To deal with it, this paper proposes a new multimodal medical image fusion method based on the imaging characteristics of medical images. In the proposed method, the non-subsampled shearlet transform (NSST) decomposition is first performed on the source images to obtain high-frequency and low-frequency coefficients. The high-frequency coefficients are fused by a parameter‐adaptive pulse-coupled neural network (PAPCNN) model. The method is based on parameter adaptive and optimized connection strength β adopted to promote the performance. The low-frequency coefficients are merged by the convolutional sparse representation (CSR) model. The experimental results show that the proposed method solves the problems of difficult parameter setting and poor detail preservation of sparse representation during image fusion in traditional PCNN algorithms, and it has significant advantages in visual effect and objective indices compared with the existing mainstream fusion algorithms. Constitution classification is the basis and core content of TCM constitution research. In order to improve the accuracy of constitution classification, this paper proposes a multilevel and multiscale features aggregation method within the convolutional neural network, which consists of four steps. First, it uses the pretrained VGG16 as the basic network and then refines the network structure through supervised feature learning so as to capture local image features. Second, it extracts the image features of different layers from the fine-tuned VGG16 model, which are then dimensionally reduced by principal component analysis (PCA). Third, it uses another pretrained NASNetMobile network for supervised feature learning, where the previous layer features of the global average pooling layer are outputted. Similarly, these features are dimensionally reduced by PCA and then are fused with the features of different layers in VGG16 after the PCA. Finally, all features are aggregated with the fully connected layers of the fine-tuned VGG16, and then the constitution classification is performed. The conducted experiments show that using the multilevel and multiscale feature aggregation is very effective in the constitution classification, and the accuracy on the test dataset reaches 69.61%. Meningioma is the second most commonly encountered tumor type in the brain. There are three grades of meningioma by the standards of the World Health Organization. Preoperative grade prediction of meningioma is extraordinarily important for clinical treatment planning and prognosis evaluation. In this paper, we present a new deep learning model for assisting automatic prediction of meningioma grades to reduce the recurrence of meningioma. Our model is based on an improved LeNet-5 model of convolutional neural network (CNN) and does not require the extraction of the diseased tissue, which can greatly enhance the efficiency. To address the issue of insufficient and unbalanced clinical data of meningioma images, we use an oversampling technique which allows us to considerably improve the accuracy of classification. Mammography is successfully used as an effective screening tool for cancer diagnosis. A calcification cluster on mammography is a primary sign of cancer. Early researches have proved the diagnostic value of the calcification, yet their performance is highly dependent on handcrafted image descriptors. Characterizing the calcification mammography in an automatic and robust way remains a challenge. In this paper, the calcification was characterized by descriptors obtained from deep learning and handcrafted descriptors. We compared the performances of different image feature sets on digital mammograms. The feature sets included the deep features alone, the handcrafted features, their combination, and the filtered deep features. Experimental results have demonstrated that the deep features outperform handcrafted features, but the handcrafted features can provide complementary information for deep features. We achieved a classification precision of 89.32% and sensitivity of 86.89% using the filtered deep features, which is the best performance among all the feature sets. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Blood pressure (BP) is one of the indispensable elements of physiological health characteristics and a significant indicator for predicting and diagnosing hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. This paper proposes a two-domain fusion model to estimate BP continuously from pulse wave acquired with a pressure sensor. Method. The optimal external pressure applied on the pressure sensor is first determined in order to capture pulse wave in the radial artery. The captured pulse wave is then processed in both the time and frequency domains via filtering and fast Fourier transform. Finally, a set of features are extracted from these two domains and input into a neural network along with blood pressure values measured by a commercial sphygmomanometer for training. This paper proposes a new framework for capturing large and complex deformation in image registration. Traditionally, this challenging problem relies firstly on a preregistration, usually an affine matrix containing rotation, scale, and translation and afterwards on a nonrigid transformation. According to preregistration, the directly calculated affine matrix, which is obtained by limited pixel information, may misregistrate when large biases exist, thus misleading following registration subversively. To address this problem, for two-dimensional (2D) images, the two-layer deep adaptive registration framework proposed in this paper firstly accurately classifies the rotation parameter through multilayer convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and then identifies scale and translation parameters separately. For three-dimensional (3D) images, affine matrix is located through feature correspondences by a triplanar 2D CNNs. Then deformation removal is done iteratively through preregistration and demons registration. By comparison with the state-of-the-art registration framework, our method gains more accurate registration results on both synthetic and real datasets. Besides, principal component analysis (PCA) is combined with correlation like Pearson and Spearman to form new similarity standards in 2D and 3D registration. Nowadays, credit classification models are widely applied because they can help financial decision-makers to handle credit classification issues. Among them, artificial neural networks (ANNs) have been widely accepted as the convincing methods in the credit industry. In this paper, we propose a pruning neural network (PNN) and apply it to solve credit classification problem by adopting the well-known Australian and Japanese credit datasets. The model is inspired by synaptic nonlinearity of a dendritic tree in a biological neural model. And it is trained by an error back-propagation algorithm. The model is capable of realizing a neuronal pruning function by removing the superfluous synapses and useless dendrites and forms a tidy dendritic morphology at the end of learning. Furthermore, we utilize logic circuits (LCs) to simulate the dendritic structures successfully which makes PNN be implemented on the hardware effectively. The statistical results of our experiments have verified that PNN obtains superior performance in comparison with other classical algorithms in terms of accuracy and computational efficiency. The PET and CT fusion images, combining the anatomical and functional information, have important clinical meaning. This paper proposes a novel fusion framework based on adaptive pulse-coupled neural networks (PCNNs) in nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) domain for fusing whole-body PET and CT images. Firstly, the gradient average of each pixel is chosen as the linking strength of PCNN model to implement self-adaptability. Secondly, to improve the fusion performance, the novel sum-modified Laplacian (NSML) and energy of edge (EOE) are extracted as the external inputs of the PCNN models for low- and high-pass subbands, respectively. Lastly, the rule of max region energy is adopted as the fusion rule and different energy templates are employed in the low- and high-pass subbands. The experimental results on whole-body PET and CT data (239 slices contained by each modality) show that the proposed framework outperforms the other six methods in terms of the seven commonly used fusion performance metrics. A proposed real coded genetic algorithm based radial basis function neural network classifier is employed to perform effective classification of healthy and cancer affected lung images. Real Coded Genetic Algorithm (RCGA) is proposed to overcome the Hamming Cliff problem encountered with the Binary Coded Genetic Algorithm (BCGA). Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) classifier is chosen as a classifier model because of its Gaussian Kernel function and its effective learning process to avoid local and global minima problem and enable faster convergence. This paper specifically focused on tuning the weights and bias of RBFNN classifier employing the proposed RCGA. The operators used in RCGA enable the algorithm flow to compute weights and bias value so that minimum Mean Square Error (MSE) is obtained. With both the lung healthy and cancer images from Lung Image Database Consortium (LIDC) database and Real time database, it is noted that the proposed RCGA based RBFNN classifier has performed effective classification of the healthy lung tissues and that of the cancer affected lung nodules. Identification and detection of dendritic spines in neuron images are of high interest in diagnosis and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s diseases, and autism). In this paper, we have proposed a novel automatic approach using wavelet-based conditional symmetric analysis and regularized morphological shared-weight neural networks (RMSNN) for dendritic spine identification involving the following steps: backbone extraction, localization of dendritic spines, and classification. First, a new algorithm based on wavelet transform and conditional symmetric analysis has been developed to extract backbone and locate the dendrite boundary. Then, the RMSNN has been proposed to classify the spines into three predefined categories (mushroom, thin, and stubby). We have compared our proposed approach against the existing methods. The experimental result demonstrates that the proposed approach can accurately locate the dendrite and accurately classify the spines into three categories with the accuracy of 99.1% for “mushroom” spines, 97.6% for “stubby” spines, and 98.6% for “thin” spines. Accurate classification of Pap smear images becomes the challenging task in medical image processing. This can be improved in two ways. One way is by selecting suitable well defined specific features and the other is by selecting the best classifier. This paper presents a nominated texture based cervical cancer (NTCC) classification system which classifies the Pap smear images into any one of the seven classes. This can be achieved by extracting well defined texture features and selecting best classifier. Seven sets of texture features (24 features) are extracted which include relative size of nucleus and cytoplasm, dynamic range and first four moments of intensities of nucleus and cytoplasm, relative displacement of nucleus within the cytoplasm, gray level cooccurrence matrix, local binary pattern histogram, tamura features, and edge orientation histogram. Few types of support vector machine (SVM) and neural network (NN) classifiers are used for the classification. The performance of the NTCC algorithm is tested and compared to other algorithms on public image database of Herlev University Hospital, Denmark, with 917 Pap smear images.
