Colorectal cancer has a high incidence rate in all countries around the world, and the survival rate of patients is improved by early detection. With the development of object detection technology based on deep learning, computer-aided diagnosis of colonoscopy medical images becomes a reality, which can effectively reduce the occurrence of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. In medical image recognition, the assumption that training samples follow independent identical distribution (IID) is the key to the high accuracy of deep learning. However, the classification of medical images is unbalanced in most cases. This paper proposes a new loss function named the double-balanced loss function for the deep learning model, to improve the impact of datasets on classification accuracy. It introduces the effects of sample size and sample difficulty to the loss calculation and deals with both sample size imbalance and sample difficulty imbalance. And it combines with deep learning to build the medical diagnosis model for colorectal cancer. Experimentally verified by three colorectal white-light endoscopic image datasets, the double-balanced loss function proposed in this paper has better performance on the imbalance classification problem of colorectal medical images. In recent years, with the increasing incidence of cancer, regular physical examination is an important way to find cancer. Nuclear screening is an important method for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases, but it is challenging in the face of small and fuzzy gastrointestinal images. Different from traditional medical objects, pathological slice images are mostly blurry and tiny, which is somewhat difficult to detect and segment. The traditional diagnostic method lacks rapid quantitative analysis and has a certain delay in medical diagnosis, and traditional image processing uses morphological features and pixel distribution to extract features; it is often difficult to achieve the desired effect on small blurry images. This paper proposes a small, microfuzzy pathology detection algorithm based on the attention mechanism; the YOLOv5 is improved under small and micro fuzzy scenarios of the detection of cancer cells in the full field of digital pathology and tests it in the gastric cancer slice dataset. The network structure is improved, and the ability to learn features on small and micro targets is enhanced according to the law of feature distribution. Spatial and channel changes in network attention and attention weight distribution. In the deep blur scenario, the attention mechanism is added to optimize its recognition ability, and the test result shows F1_score is 0.616, and the mAP is 0.611, which can provide the decision support for clinical judgment. Recent revolutionary results of deep learning indicate the advent of reliable classifiers to perform difficult tasks in medical diagnosis. Fatty liver is a common liver disease, and it is also one of the major challenges people face in disease prevention. It will cause many complications, which need to be found and treated in time. In the field of automatic diagnosis of fatty liver ultrasound images, there are problems of less data amount, and the pathological images of different severity are similar. Therefore, this paper proposes a classification method through combining convolutional neural network with the differential image patches based on pixel-level features for fatty liver ultrasonic images. It can automatically diagnose the ultrasonic images of normal liver, low-grade fatty liver, moderate grade fatty liver, and severe fatty liver. The proposed method not only solves the problem of less data amount but also improves the accuracy of classification. Controlling infectious diseases is a major health priority because they can spread and infect humans, thus evolving into epidemics or pandemics. Therefore, early detection of infectious diseases is a significant need, and many researchers have developed models to diagnose them in the early stages. This paper reviewed research articles for recent machine-learning (ML) algorithms applied to infectious disease diagnosis. We searched the Web of Science, ScienceDirect, PubMed, Springer, and IEEE databases from 2015 to 2022, identified the pros and cons of the reviewed ML models, and discussed the possible recommendations to advance the studies in this field. We found that most of the articles used small datasets, and few of them used real-time data. Our results demonstrated that a suitable ML technique depends on the nature of the dataset and the desired goal. Moreover, heterogeneous data could ensure the model's generalization, while big data, many features, and a hybrid model will increase the resulting performance. Furthermore, using other techniques such as deep learning and NLP to extract vast features from unstructured data is a powerful approach to enhancing the performance of ML diagnostic models. Because underlying cognitive and neuromuscular activities regulate speech signals, biomarkers in the human voice can provide insight into neurological illnesses. Multiple motor and nonmotor aspects of neurologic voice disorders arise from an underlying neurologic condition such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, or ALS. Voice problems can be caused by disorders that affect the corticospinal system, cerebellum, basal ganglia, and upper or lower motoneurons. According to a new study, voice pathology detection technologies can successfully aid in the assessment of voice irregularities and enable the early diagnosis of voice pathology. In this paper, we offer two deep-learning-based computational models, 1-dimensional convolutional neural network (1D CNN) and 2-dimensional convolutional neural network (2D CNN), that simultaneously detect voice pathologies caused by neurological illnesses or other causes. From the German corpus Saarbruecken Voice Database (SVD), we used voice recordings of sustained vowel /a/ generated at normal pitch. The collected voice signals are padded and segmented to maintain homogeneity and increase the number of samples. Convolutional layers are applied to raw data, and MFCC features are extracted in this project. Although the 1D CNN had the maximum accuracy of 93.11% on test data, model training produced overfitting and 2D CNN, which generalized the data better and had lower train and validation loss despite having an accuracy of 84.17% on test data. Also, 2D CNN outperforms state-of-the-art studies in the field, implying that a model trained on handcrafted features is better for speech processing than a model that extracts features directly. Glaucoma is a chronic ocular disease characterized by damage to the optic nerve resulting in progressive and irreversible visual loss. Early detection and timely clinical interventions are critical in improving glaucoma-related outcomes. As a typical and complicated ocular disease, glaucoma detection presents a unique challenge due to its insidious onset and high intra- and interpatient variabilities. Recent studies have demonstrated that robust glaucoma detection systems can be realized with deep learning approaches. The optic disc (OD) is the most commonly studied retinal structure for screening and diagnosing glaucoma. This paper proposes a novel context aware deep learning framework called GD-YNet, for OD segmentation and glaucoma detection. It leverages the potential of aggregated transformations and the simplicity of the YNet architecture in context aware OD segmentation and binary classification for glaucoma detection. Trained with the RIGA and RIMOne-V2 datasets, this model achieves glaucoma detection accuracies of 99.72%, 98.02%, 99.50%, and 99.41% with the ACRIMA, Drishti-gs, REFUGE, and RIMOne-V1 datasets. Intestinal obstruction is a common surgical emergency in children. However, it is challenging to seek appropriate treatment for childhood ileus since many diagnostic measures suitable for adults are not applicable to children. The rapid development of machine learning has spurred much interest in its application to medical imaging problems but little in medical text mining. In this paper, a two-layer model based on text data such as routine blood count and urine tests is proposed to provide guidance on the diagnosis and assist in clinical decision-making. The samples of this study were 526 children with intestinal obstruction. Firstly, the samples were divided into two groups according to whether they had intestinal obstruction surgery, and then, the surgery group was divided into two groups according to whether the intestinal tube was necrotic. Specifically, we combined 63 physiological indexes of each child with their corresponding label and fed them into a deep learning neural network which contains multiple fully connected layers. Subsequently, the corresponding value was obtained by activation function. The 5-fold cross-validation was performed in the first layer and demonstrated a mean accuracy (Acc) of 80.04%, and the corresponding sensitivity (Se), specificity (Sp), and MCC were 67.48%, 87.46%, and 0.57, respectively. Additionally, the second layer can also reach an accuracy of 70.4%. This study shows that the proposed algorithm has direct meaning to processing of clinical text data of childhood ileus. To achieve the robust high-performance computer-aided diagnosis systems for lymph nodes, CT images may be typically collected from multicenter data, which cause the isolated performance of the model based on different data source centers. The variability adaptation problem of lymph node data which is related to the problem of domain adaptation in deep learning differs from the general domain adaptation problem because of the typically larger CT image size and more complex data distributions. Therefore, domain adaptation for this problem needs to consider the shared feature representation and even the conditioning information of each domain so that the adaptation network can capture significant discriminative representations in a domain-invariant space. This paper extracts domain-invariant features based on a cross-domain confounding representation and proposes a cycle-consistency learning framework to encourage the network to preserve class-conditioning information through cross-domain image translations. Compared with the performance of different domain adaptation methods, the accurate rate of our method achieves at least 4.4% points higher under multicenter lymph node data. The pixel-level cross-domain image mapping and the semantic-level cycle consistency provided a stable confounding representation with class-conditioning information to achieve effective domain adaptation under complex feature distribution.
