This document provides highlights of recent clinically relevant papers in the field of equine veterinary education. The first study examines the associations between insulin responses to oral sugars and insulin dysregulation in nonlaminitic ponies. The second study compares the effects of firocoxib and flunixin meglumine on colonic inflammation in healthy horses. The third study develops and validates a scoring system for trigeminal-mediated headshaking in horses. The fourth study presents guidelines for diagnosing anthelmintic resistance using the faecal egg count reduction test in ruminants, horses, and swine.
