This paper is dedicated to proposing two numerical algorithms for solving the one- and two-dimensional heat partial differential equations (PDEs). In these algorithms, generalized Lucas polynomials (GLPs) involving two parameters are utilized as basis functions. The two proposed numerical schemes in one and two- dimensions are based on solving the corresponding integral equation to the heat equation, and after that employing, respectively, the tau and collocation methods to convert the heat equations subject to their underlying conditions into systems of linear algebraic equations that can be treated efficiently via suitable numerical procedures. In this article, the convergence analysis is examined for the proposed generalized Lucas expansion. Five illustrative problems are numerically solved via the two proposed numerical schemes to show the applicability and accuracy of the presented algorithms. In this paper, the existence and uniqueness of the Fredholm–Volterra integro-differential equation with the nonlocal condition will be studied. Also, we study the continuous dependence of the initial data. The numerical solution of the problem will be studied using the central difference approximations and trapezoidal rule to transform the Volterra–Fredholm integro-differential equation into a system of algebraic equations which can be solved together to get the solution. This paper proposes a numerical method for solving fractional relaxation-oscillation equations. A relaxation oscillator is a type of oscillator that is based on how a physical system returns to equilibrium after being disrupted. The primary equation of relaxation and oscillation processes is the relaxation-oscillation equation. The fractional derivatives in the relaxation-oscillation equations under consideration are defined in the Φ -Caputo sense. The numerical method relies on a novel type of operational matrix method, namely, the Φ -Haar wavelet operational matrix method. The operational matrix approach has a lower computational complexity. The proposed scheme simplifies the main problem to a set of linear algebraic equations. Numerical examples demonstrate the validity and applicability of the proposed technique. The objective of this paper is to present an efficient numerical technique for solving time fractional modified anomalous subdiffusion equation. Anomalous diffusion equation has its role in various branches of biological sciences. B-spline is a piecewise function to draw curves and surfaces, which maintain its degree of smoothness at the connecting points. B-spline provides an active process of approximation to the limit curve. In current attempt, B-spline curve is used to approximate the solution curve of time fractional modified anomalous subdiffusion equation. The process is kept simple involving collocation procedure to the data points. The time fractional derivative is approximated with the discretized form of the Riemann-Liouville derivative. The process results in the form of system of algebraic equations, which is solved using a variant of Thomas algorithm. In order to ensure the convergence of the procedure, a valid method named Von Neumann stability analysis is attempted. In this paper, we consider the initial boundary value problem of the time fractional Burgers equation. A fully discrete scheme is proposed for the time fractional nonlinear Burgers equation with time discretized by L 1 -type formula and space discretized by the multiscale Galerkin method. The optimal convergence orders reach O τ 2 − α + h r in the L 2 norm and O τ 2 − α + h r − 1 in the H 1 norm, respectively, in which τ is the time step size, h is the space step size, and r is the order of piecewise polynomial space. Then, a fast multilevel augmentation method (MAM) is developed for solving the nonlinear algebraic equations resulting from the fully discrete scheme at each time step. We show that the MAM preserves the optimal convergence orders, and the computational cost is greatly reduced. Numerical experiments are presented to verify the theoretical analysis, and comparisons between MAM and Newton's method show the efficiency of our algorithm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper provides numerical estimation of Newtonian fluid flow past through rectangular channel fixed with screen movable from 10° to 45° by increasing the Reynolds number from 1000 to 10,000. The two-dimensional incompressible Navier Stokes equations are worked out making use of the popular software COMSOL MultiPhysics version 5.4 which implements the Galerkin's least square scheme to discretize the governing set of equations into algebraic form. In addition, the screen boundary condition with resistance coefficient (2.2) along with resistance coefficient 0.78 is implemented along with slip boundary conditions applied on the wall. We engaged to find and observe the relationship between the optimum velocity, drag force applied by the screen, and pressure occurred in the channel with increasing Reynolds number. Because of the linear relationship between the optimum velocities and the Reynolds number, applying the linear regression method, we will estimate the linear equation so that future prediction and judgment can be done. The validity of results is doing with the asymptomatic solution for stream-wise velocity at the outlet of the channel with screens available in the literature. A nondimensional quantity, i.e., ratio from local to global Reynolds number Re x / Re , is introduced which found stable and varies from -0.5 to 0.5 for the whole problem. Thus, we are in the position to express the general pattern of the velocity of the particles as well as the pressure on the line passing through the middle of the channel and depart some final conclusion at the end.
