Papillary thyroid carcinomas (PTC) are the most common type of thyroid malignant tumors. Existing methods for clustering high-noise ultrasound images tend to degrade the clustering performance. In order to realize accurate segmentation of thyroid nodule in noisy environment, this paper proposes an improved segmentation algorithm based on adaptive fast generalized clustering. Firstly, the parameter balance factor is adaptively determined according to the noise probability of non-local pixels so as to reflect the spatial structure information in the image more accurately. Then, the balance factor is used to effectively combine the linear weighted filtered image in the AFGC algorithm so as to create the adaptive filtered image. Since the filtering degree depends on the probability whether the pixel is noise in the image, the dynamic noise suppression performance of the proposed method can be greatly improved. A large number of qualitative and quantitative experimental results show that the proposed generalized clustering algorithm can obtain more accurate results when clustering images with high noise. Due to lack of a central bureaucrat in mobile ad hoc networks, the security of the network becomes serious issue. During malicious attacks, according to the motivation of intruder the severity of the threat varies. It may lead to loss of data, energy or throughput. This paper proposes a lightweight Intruder Node Detection and Isolation Action mechanism (INDIA) using feature extraction, feature optimization and classification techniques. The indirect and direct trust features are extracted from each node and the total trust feature is computed by combining them. The trust features are extracted from each node of MANET and these features are optimized using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm as feature optimization technique. These optimized feature sets are then classified using Neural Networks (NN) classifier which identifies the intruder node. The performance of the proposed methodology is studied in terms of various parameters such as success rate in packet delivery, delay in communication and the amount of energy consumption for identifying and isolating the intruder. The public health system has restricted economic resources. Because of that, it is necessary to know how the resources are being used and if they are properly distributed. Several works have applied classical approaches based in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) for this purpose. However, if we have hospitals with different casemix, this is not the best approach. In order to avoid biases in the comparisons, other works have recommended the use of hospital production data corrected by the weights from Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs), to adjust the casemix of hospitals. However, not all countries have this tool fully implemented, which limits the efficiency evaluation. This paper proposes a new approach for evaluating the efficiency of hospitals. It uses a graph-based clustering algorithm to find groups of hospitals that have similar production profiles. Then, DEA is used to evaluate the technical efficiency of each group. The proposed approach is tested using the production data from 2014 of 193 Chilean public hospitals. The results allowed to identify different performance profiles of each group, that differs from other studies that employs data from partially implemented DRGs. The focus of this paper is diagnosing and differentiating Astrocytomas in MRI scans by developing an interval Type-2 fuzzy automated tumor detection system. This system consists of three modules: working memory, knowledge base, and inference engine. An image processing method with three steps of preprocessing, segmentation and feature extraction, and approximate reasoning is used in inference engine module to enhance the quality of MRI scans, segment them into desired regions, extract the required features, and finally diagnose and differentiate Astrocytomas. However, brain tumors have different characteristics in different planes, so considering one plane of patient's MRI scan may cause inaccurate results. Therefore, in the developed system, several consecutive planes are processed. The performance of this system is evaluated using 95 MRI scans and the results show good improvement in diagnosing and differentiating Astrocytomas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

An exponential rise has been observed in the data volume over the time when considering a real time environment. A phenomenal feature termed as 'Predictability' helps in predicting and portraying related data to the user according to their needs. Moreover, classification of Big Data is usually a tedious and lengthy task. The technique of MapReduce Framework performs the data processing that being paralleled by data distribution in small chunks through the clusters. This Map Reduce technique is being proposed which is employed to process heterogeneous data items. Few issues that are being targeted in the existing paper include associating climatologically and meteorological information with large variety of farming decisions. Using the well-known MapReduce framework the above issues and challenges can be resolved. The existing paper proposes empirical techniques of climate classification and prediction by adopting Co-EANFS (Co-Effective and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy System) approach for data handling. Furthermore, the paper examines association rule mining too, which is being implemented for examining the best crop production by relying upon the soil and weather condition. Lastly, a technique is proposed for managing various levels such as preprocessing, clustering, classification and prediction. First, the weather dataset is being collected which undergoes processing; thereafter the proposed model is implemented which results in formation of cluster data sets linked to each season. For evaluating the performance, accuracy predictions generated by Co-EANFS is used which being formulated with varying no: of inputs and variables. Artificial intelligence algorithms have been used in a wide range of applications in clinical aided diagnosis, such as automatic MR image segmentation and seizure EEG signal analyses. In recent years, many machine learning-based automatic MR brain image segmentation methods have been proposed as auxiliary methods of medical image analysis in clinical treatment. Nevertheless, many problems regarding precise medical images, which cannot be effectively utilized to improve partition performance, remain to be solved. Due to the poor contrast in grayscale images, the ambiguity and complexity of MR images, and individual variability, the performance of classic algorithms in medical image segmentation still needs improvement. In this paper, we introduce a distributed multitask fuzzy c-means (MT-FCM) clustering algorithm for MR brain image segmentation that can extract knowledge common among different clustering tasks. The proposed distributed MT-FCM algorithm can effectively exploit information common among different but related MR brain image segmentation tasks and can avoid the negative effects caused by noisy data that exist in some MR images. Experimental results on clinical MR brain images demonstrate that the distributed MT-FCM method demonstrates more desirable performance than the classic signal task method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
