Ship detection and identification play pivotal roles in ensuring navigation safety and facilitating efficient maritime traffic management. Aiming at ship detection in complex environments, which often faces problems such as the dense occlusion of ship targets, low detection accuracy, and variable environmental conditions, in this paper, we propose a ship detection algorithm CSD-YOLO (Context guided block module, Slim-neck, Deformable large kernel attention-You Only Look Once) based on the deformable large kernel attention (D-LKA) mechanism, which was improved based on YOLOv8 to enhance its performance. This approach integrates several innovations to bolster its performance. Initially, the utilization of the Context Guided Block module (CG block) enhanced the c2f module of the backbone network, thereby augmenting the feature extraction capabilities and enabling a more precise capture of the key image information. Subsequently, the introduction of a novel neck architecture and the incorporation of the slim-neck module facilitated more effective feature fusion, thereby enhancing both the accuracy and efficiency of detection. Furthermore, the algorithm incorporates a D-LKA mechanism to dynamically adjust the convolution kernel shape and size, thereby enhancing the model's adaptability to varying ship target shapes and sizes. To address data scarcity in complex marine environments, the experiments utilized a fused dataset comprising the SeaShips dataset and a proprietary dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that the CSD-YOLO algorithm outperformed the YOLOv8n algorithm across all model evaluation metrics. Specifically, the precision rate (precision) was 91.5%, the recall rate (recall) was 89.5%, and the mean accuracy (mAP) was 91.5%. Compared to the benchmark algorithm, the Recall was improved by 0.7% and the mAP was improved by 0.4%. The field of network security is highly concerned with intrusion detection, which safeguards the security of computer networks. The invention and application of intrusion detection technology play indispensable roles in network security, and it is crucial to investigate and comprehend this topic. Recently, with the continuous occurrence of intrusion incidents in virus propagation networks, traditional network detection algorithms for virus propagation have encountered limitations and have struggled to detect these incidents effectively and accurately. Therefore, updating the intrusion detection algorithm of the virus-spreading network is imperative. This paper introduces a novel system for virus propagation, whose core is a graph-based neural network. By organically combining two modules—a standardization module and a computation module—this system forms a powerful GNN model. The standardization module uses two methods, while the calculation module uses three methods. Through permutation and combination, we obtain six GNN models with different characteristics. To verify their performance, we conducted experiments on the selected datasets. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has excellent capabilities, high accuracy, reasonable complexity, and excellent stability in the intrusion detection of virus-spreading networks, making the network more secure and reliable. Hybrid approaches combining machine learning with traditional inverse problem solution methods represent a promising direction for the further development of inverse modeling algorithms. The paper proposes an approach to emission source identification from measurement data for advection–diffusion–reaction models. The approach combines general-type source identification and post-processing refinement: first, emission source identification by measurement data is carried out by a sensitivity operator-based algorithm, and then refinement is done by incorporating a priori information about unknown sources. A general-type distributed emission source identified at the first stage is transformed into a localized source consisting of multiple point-wise sources. The second, refinement stage consists of two steps: point-wise source localization and emission rate estimation. Emission source localization is carried out using deep learning with convolutional neural networks. Training samples are generated using a sensitivity operator obtained at the source identification stage. The algorithm was tested in regional remote sensing emission source identification scenarios for the Lake Baikal region and was able to refine the emission source reconstruction results. Hence, the aggregates used in traditional inverse problem solution algorithms can be successfully applied within machine learning frameworks to produce hybrid algorithms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In view of a complex multi-factor interaction relationship and high uncertainty of a battlefield environment in the anti-missile troop deployment, this paper analyzes the relationships between the defending stronghold, weapon system, incoming target, and ballistic missile. In addition, a double nested optimization architecture is designed by combining deep learning hierarchy concept and hierarchical dimensionality reduction processing. Moreover, a deployment model based on the double nested optimization architecture is constructed with the interception arc length as an optimization goal and based on the basic deployment model, kill zone model, and cover zone model. Further, by combining the target full coverage adjustment criterion and depth-first search, a deep Kuhn–Munkres algorithm is proposed. The model is validated by simulations of typical scenes. The results verify the rationality and feasibility of the proposed model, high adaptability of the proposed algorithm. In recent years, the breakthrough of neural networks and the rise of deep learning have led to the advancement of machine vision, which has been commonly used in the practical application of image recognition. Automobiles, drones, portable devices, behavior recognition, indoor positioning and many other industries also rely on the integrated application, and require the support of deep learning and machine vision. As for these technologies, there is a high demand for the accuracy related to the recognition of portraits or objects. The recognition of human figures is also a research goal that has drawn great attention in various fields. However, the portrait will be affected by various factors such as height, weight, posture, angle and whether it is covered or not, which affects the accuracy of recognition. This paper applies the application of deep learning to portraits with different poses and angles, especially the actual distance of a single lens for the shadowed portrait (depth estimation), so that it can be used for automatic control of drones in the future. Traditional methods for calculating depth using images are mainly divided into three types: one—single-lens estimation, two—lens estimation, and three—optical band estimation. In view of the fact that both the second and third categories require relatively large and expensive equipment to effectively perform distance calculations, numerous methods for calculating distance using a single lens have recently been produced. However, whether it is the use of traditional "units of distance measurement calibration", "defocus distance measurement", or the "three-dimensional grid space messages distance measurement method", all of these face corresponding difficulties and problems. Additionally, they have to deal with outside disturbances and process the shadowed image. Swarm intelligence techniques have been created to respond to theoretical and practical global optimization problems. This paper puts forward an enhanced version of the firefly algorithm that corrects the acknowledged drawbacks of the original method, by an explicit exploration mechanism and a chaotic local search strategy. The resulting augmented approach was theoretically tested on two sets of bound-constrained benchmark functions from the CEC suites and practically validated for automatically selecting the optimal dropout rate for the regularization of deep neural networks. Despite their successful applications in a wide spectrum of different fields, one important problem that deep learning algorithms face is overfitting. The traditional way of preventing overfitting is to apply regularization; the first option in this sense is the choice of an adequate value for the dropout parameter. In order to demonstrate its ability in finding an optimal dropout rate, the boosted version of the firefly algorithm has been validated for the deep learning subfield of convolutional neural networks, with respect to five standard benchmark datasets for image processing: MNIST, Fashion-MNIST, Semeion, USPS and CIFAR-10. The performance of the proposed approach in both types of experiments was compared with other recent state-of-the-art methods. To prove that there are significant improvements in results, statistical tests were conducted. The traditional estimation methods of space targets pose are based on artificial features to match the transformation relationship between the image and the object model. With the explosion of deep learning technology, the approach based on deep neural networks (DNN) has significantly improved the performance of pose estimation. However, the current methods still have problems such as complex calculation, low accuracy, and poor real-time performance. Therefore, a new pose estimation algorithm is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the mask image of the target is obtained by the instance segmentation algorithm, and its point cloud image is obtained based on a depth map combined with camera parameters. Finally, the correlation among points is established to realize the prediction of pose based on multi-modal feature fusion. Experimental results in the YCB-Video dataset show that the proposed algorithm can recognize complex images at a speed of about 24 images per second with an accuracy of more than 80%. Improving the performance of the convolution operation has become a key target for High Performance Computing (HPC) developers due to its prevalence in deep learning applied mainly to video processing. The improvement is being pushed by algorithmic and implementation innovations. Algorithmically, the convolution can be solved as it is mathematically enunciated, but other methods allow to transform it into a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) or a GEneral Matrix Multiplication (GEMM). In this latter group, the Winograd algorithm is a state-of-the-art variant that is specially suitable for smaller convolutions. In this paper, we present openCNN, an optimized CUDA C++ implementation of the Winograd convolution algorithm. Our approach achieves speedups of up to 1.76 × on Turing RTX 2080Ti and up to 1.85 × on Ampere RTX 3090 with respect to Winograd convolution in cuDNN 8.2.0. Object detection and segmentation can improve the accuracy of image recognition, but traditional methods can only extract the shallow information of the target, so the performance of algorithms is subject to many limitations. With the development of neural network technology, semantic segmentation algorithms based on deep learning can obtain the category information of each pixel. However, the algorithm cannot effectively distinguish each object of the same category, so YOLOMask, an instance segmentation algorithm based on complementary fusion network, is proposed in this paper. Experimental results on public data sets COCO2017 show that the proposed fusion network can accurately obtain the category and location information of each instance and has good real-time performance. Target detection plays a key role in the safe driving of autonomous vehicles. At present, most studies use single sensor to collect obstacle information, but single sensor cannot deal with the complex urban road environment, and the rate of missed detection is high. Therefore, this paper presents a detection fusion system with integrating LiDAR and color camera. Based on the original You Only Look Once (YOLO) algorithm, the second detection scheme is proposed to improve the YOLO algorithm for dim targets such as non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians. Many image samples are used to train the YOLO algorithm to obtain the relevant parameters and establish the target detection model. Then, the decision level fusion of sensors is introduced to fuse the color image and the depth image to improve the accuracy of the target detection. Finally, the test samples are used to verify the decision level fusion. The results show that the improved YOLO algorithm and decision level fusion have high accuracy of target detection, can meet the need of real-time, and can reduce the rate of missed detection of dim targets such as non-motor vehicles and pedestrians. With users being exposed to the growing volume of online information, the recommendation system aiming at mining the important or interesting information is becoming a modern research topic. One approach of recommendation is to integrate the graph neural network with deep learning algorithms. However, some of them are not tailored for bipartite graphs, which is a unique type of heterogeneous graph having two entity types. Others, though customized, neglect the importance of implicit relation and content information. In this paper, we propose the attentive implicit relation recommendation incorporating content information (AIRC) framework that is designed for bipartite graphs based on the GC–MC algorithm. First, through reconstructing the bipartite graphs, we obtain the implicit relation graphs. Then we analyze the content information of users and items with a CNN process, so that each user and item has its feature-tailored embeddings. Besides, we expand the GC–MC algorithms by adding a graph attention mechanism layer, which handles the implicit relation graph by highlighting important features and neighbors. Therefore, our framework takes into consideration both the implicit relation and content information. Steganography is a collection of techniques for concealing the existence of information by embedding it within a cover. With the development of deep learning, some novel steganography methods have appeared based on the autoencoder or generative adversarial networks. While the deep learning based steganography methods have the advantages of automatic generation and capacity, the security of the algorithm needs to improve. In this paper, we take advantage of the linear behavior of deep learning networks in higher space and propose a novel steganography scheme which enhances the security by adversarial example. The system is trained with different training settings on two datasets. The experiment results show that the proposed scheme could escape from deep learning steganalyzer detection. The importance of cybersecurity has recently been increasing. A malware coder writes malware into normal executable files. A computer is more likely to be infected by malware when users have easy access to various executables. Malware is considered as the starting point for cyber-attacks; thus, the timely detection, classification and blocking of malware are important. Malware visualization is a method for detecting or classifying malware. A global image is visualized through binaries extracted from malware. The overall structure and behavior of malware are considered when global images are utilized. However, the visualization of obfuscated malware is tough, owing to the difficulties encountered when extracting local features. This paper proposes a merged image-based malware classification framework that includes local feature visualization, global image-based local feature visualization, and global and local image merging methods. This study introduces a fastText-based local feature visualization method: First, local features such as opcodes and API function names are extracted from the malware; second, important local features in each malware family are selected via the term frequency inverse document frequency algorithm; third, the fastText model embeds the selected local features; finally, the embedded local features are visualized through a normalization process. Malware classification based on the proposed method using the Microsoft Malware Classification Challenge dataset was experimentally verified.
