Abstract

Information about several papers discussed at the 2007 annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in Las Vegas, Nevada is presented. Gregory F. Kozielec asserted that a study on intravitreal bevacizumab by Avastin and Genentec has shown positive results for the treatment for macular edema associated with ischemic central retinal vein occlusion. He asserted that the achieved results are encouraging but preliminary.
