Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) attacks are causing a lot of damage to critical organizations and institutions. Therefore, early detection and warning of APT attack campaigns are very necessary today. In this paper, we propose a new approach for APT attack detection based on the combination of Feature Intelligent Extraction (FIE) and Representation Learning (RL) techniques. In particular, the proposed FIE technique is a combination of the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) deep learning network and the Attention network. The FIE combined model has the function of aggregating and extracting unusual behaviors of APT IPs in network traffic. The RL method proposed in this study aims to optimize classifying APT IPs and normal IPs based on two main techniques: rebalancing data and contrastive learning. Specifically, the rebalancing data method supports the training process by rebalancing the experimental dataset. And the contrastive learning method learns APT IP's important features based on finding and pulling similar features together as well as pushing contrasting data points away. The combination of FIE and RL (abbreviated as the FIERL model) is a novel proposal and innovation and has not been proposed and published by any research. The experimental results in the paper have proved that the proposed method in the paper is correct and reasonable when it has shown superior efficiency compared to some other studies and approaches over 5% on all measurements. With the increasing applications of traffic scene image classification in intelligent transportation systems, there is a growing demand for improved accuracy and robustness in this classification task. However, due to weather conditions, time, lighting variations, and annotation costs, traditional deep learning methods still have limitations in extracting complex traffic scene features and achieving higher recognition accuracy. The previous classification methods for traffic scene images had gaps in multi-scale feature extraction and the combination of frequency domain, spatial, and channel attention. To address these issues, this paper proposes a multi-scale and multi-attention model based on Res2Net. Our proposed framework introduces an Adaptive Feature Refinement Pyramid Module (AFRPM) to enhance multi-scale feature extraction, thus improving the accuracy of traffic scene image classification. Additionally, we integrate frequency domain and spatial-channel attention mechanisms to develop recognition capabilities for complex backgrounds, objects of different scales, and local details in traffic scene images. The paper conducts the task of classifying traffic scene images using the Traffic-Net dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that our model achieves an accuracy of 96.88% on this dataset, which is an improvement of approximately 2% compared to the baseline Res2Net network. Android malware is becoming more common, and its invasion of smart devices has brought immeasurable losses to people's lives. Most existing Android malware detection methods extract Android features from the original application files without considering the high-order hidden information behind them, but these hidden information can reflect malicious behaviors. To solve this problem, this paper proposes Z2F, a detection framework based on multidimensional Android feature extraction and graph neural networks for Android applications. Z2F first extracts seven types of Android features from the original Android application and then embeds them into a heterogeneous graph. On this basis, we design 12 kinds of meta-structures to analyze different semantic spaces of heterogeneous graphs, mine high-order hidden semantic information, and adopt a multi-layer graph attention mechanism to iteratively embed and update information. This paper introduces a method aiming at enhancing the efficacy of speaker identification systems within challenging acoustic environments characterized by noise and reverberation. The methodology encompasses the utilization of diverse feature extraction techniques, including Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) and discrete transforms, such as Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Discrete Sine Transform (DST), and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). Additionally, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) serves as the classifier for this method. Reverberation is modeled using varying-length comb filters, and its impact on pitch frequency estimation is explored via the Auto Correlation Function (ACF). This paper also contributes to the field of cancelable speaker identification in both open and reverberation environments. The proposed method depends on comb filtering at the feature level, deliberately distorting MFCCs. This distortion, incorporated within a cancelable framework, serves to obscure speaker identities, rendering the system resilient to potential intruders. Three systems are presented in this work; a reverberation-affected speaker identification system, a system depending on cancelable features through comb filtering, and a novel cancelable speaker identification system within reverbration environments. The findings revealed that, in both scenarios with and without reverberation effects, the DWT-based features exhibited superior performance within the speaker identification system. Computer networks face vulnerability to numerous attacks, which pose significant threats to our data security and the freedom of communication. This paper introduces a novel intrusion detection technique that diverges from traditional methods by leveraging Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) for both data preprocessing and feature extraction. The proposed process is based on the following steps: (1) training the data using RNNs, (2) extracting features from their hidden layers, and (3) applying various classification algorithms. This methodology offers significant advantages and greatly differs from existing intrusion detection practices. The effectiveness of our method is demonstrated through trials on the Network Security Laboratory (NSL) and Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity (CIC) 2017 datasets, where the application of RNNs for intrusion detection shows substantial practical implications. Specifically, we achieved accuracy scores of 99.6% with Decision Tree, Random Forest, and CatBoost classifiers on the NSL dataset, and 99.8% and 99.9%, respectively, on the CIC 2017 dataset. By reversing the conventional sequence of training data with RNNs and then extracting features before applying classification algorithms, our approach provides a major shift in intrusion detection methodologies. Time series data complexity presents new challenges in clustering analysis across fields such as electricity, energy, industry, and finance. Despite advances in representation learning and clustering with Variational Autoencoders (VAE) based deep learning techniques, issues like the absence of discriminative power in feature representation, the disconnect between instance reconstruction and clustering objectives, and scalability challenges with large datasets persist. This paper introduces a novel deep time series clustering approach integrating VAE with metric learning. It leverages a VAE based on Gated Recurrent Units for temporal feature extraction, incorporates metric learning for joint optimization of latent space representation, and employs the sum of log likelihoods as the clustering merging criterion, markedly improving clustering accuracy and interpretability. Experimental findings demonstrate a 27.16% improvement in average clustering accuracy and a 47.15% increase in speed on industrial load data. Infrared target detection is widely used in industrial fields, such as environmental monitoring, automatic driving, etc., and the detection of weak targets is one of the most challenging research topics in this field. Due to the small size of these targets, limited information and less surrounding contextual information, it increases the difficulty of target detection and recognition. To address these issues, this paper proposes YOLO-ISTD, an improved method for infrared small target detection based on the YOLOv5-S framework. Firstly, we propose a feature extraction module called SACSP, which incorporates the Shuffle Attention mechanism and makes certain adjustments to the CSP structure, enhancing the feature extraction capability and improving the performance of the detector. Secondly, we introduce a feature fusion module called NL-SPPF. By introducing an NL-Block, the network is able to capture richer long-range features, better capturing the correlation between background information and targets, thereby enhancing the detection capability for small targets. Lastly, we propose a modified K-means clustering algorithm based on Distance-IoU (DIoU), called K-means_DIOU, to improve the accuracy of clustering and generate anchors suitable for the task. Additionally, modifications are made to the detection heads in YOLOv5-S. The original 8, 16, and 32 times downsampling detection heads are replaced with 4, 8, and 16 times downsampling detection heads, capturing more informative coarse-grained features. This enables better understanding of the overall characteristics and structure of the targets, resulting in improved representation and localization of small targets. Experimental results demonstrate significant achievements of YOLO-ISTD on the NUST-SIRST dataset, with an improvement of 8.568% in mAP@0.5 and 8.618% in mAP@0.95. Binary code similarity detection plays a crucial role in various applications within binary security, including vulnerability detection, malicious software analysis, etc. However, existing methods suffer from limited differentiation in binary embedding representations across different compilation environments, lacking dynamic high-level semantics. Moreover, current approaches often neglect multi-level semantic feature extraction, thereby failing to acquire precise semantic information about the binary code. To address these limitations, this paper introduces a novel detection solution called BinBcla. This method employs an enhanced pre-training model to generate instruction embeddings with dynamic semantics for binary functions. Subsequently, multi-feature fusion technique is utilized to extract local semantic information and long-distance global features from the code, respectively, employing self-attention to comprehend the structure information of the code. Finally, an improved cosine similarity method is employed to learn relationships among all elements of the distance vectors, thereby enhancing the model's robustness to new sample functions. Road crack detection is one of the important parts of road safety detection. Aiming at the problems such as weak segmentation effect of basic U-Net on pavement crack, insufficient precision of crack contour segmentation, difficult to identify narrow crack and low segmentation accuracy, this paper proposes an improved U-net network pavement crack segmentation method. VGG16 and Up_Conv (Upsampling Convolution) modules are introduced as backbone network and feature enhancement network respectively, and the more abstract features in the image are extracted by using the Block depth separable convolution blocks, and the multi-scale features are captured and enhanced by higher level semantic information to improve the recognition accuracy of narrow cracks in the road surface. The improved network embedded the Ca(Channel Attention) attention mechanism in U-net's jump connection to enhance the crack portion to suppress background noise. At the same time, DG_Conv(Depthwise GSConv Convolution) module and UnetUp(Unet Upsampling) module are added in the decoding part to extract richer features through more convolutional layers in the network, so that the model pays more attention to the detailed part of the crack, so the segmentation accuracy can be improved. In order to verify the model's ability to detect cracks in complex backgrounds, experiments were carried out on CFD and Deepcrack datasets. The experimental results show that compared with the traditional U-net network F1-score and mIoU have increased by 13.6% and 9.9% respectively. Superior to advanced models such as U-net, Segnet and Linknet in accuracy and generalization ability, the improved model provides a new method for asphalt pavement crack detection. The identification research of hydrogenation catalyst information has always been one of the most important businesses in the chemical industry. In order to aid researchers in efficiently screening high-performance catalyst carriers and tackle the pressing challenge at hand, it is imperative to find a solution for the intelligent recognition of hydrogenation catalyst images. To address the issue of low recognition accuracy caused by adhesion and stacking of hydrogenation catalysts, An image recognition algorithm of hydrogenation catalyst based on FPNC Net was proposed in this paper. In the present study, Resnet50 backbone network was used to extract the features, and spatially-separable convolution kernel was used to extract the multi-scale features of catalyst fringe. In addition, to effectively segment the adhesive regions of stripes, FPN (Feature Pyramid Network) is added to the backbone network for deep and shallow feature fusion. Introducing an attention module to adaptively adjust weights can effectively highlight the target features of the catalyst. The experimental results showed that the FPNC Net model achieved an accuracy of 94.2% and an AP value improvement of 19.37% compared to the original CenterNet model. Automatic Urdu handwritten text recognition is a challenging task in the OCR industry. Unlike printed text, Urdu handwriting lacks a uniform font and structure. This lack of uniformity causes data inconsistencies and recognition issues. Different writing styles, cursive scripts, and limited data make Urdu text recognition a complicated task. Major languages, such as English, have experienced advances in automated recognition, whereas low-resource languages, such as Urdu, still lag. Transformer-based models are promising for automated recognition in high- and low-resource languages such as Urdu. This paper presents a transformer-based method called ET-Network that integrates self-attention into EfficientNet for feature extraction and a transformer for language modeling. The use of self-attention layers in EfficientNet helps to extract global and local features that capture long-range dependencies. These features proceeded into a vanilla transformer to generate text, and a prefix beam search is used for the finest outcome. NUST-UHWR, UPTI2.0, and MMU-OCR-21 are three datasets used to train and test the ET Network for a handwritten Urdu script. Frequent occlusion of tracking targets leads to poor performance of tracking algorithms. A common practice in multi-target tracking algorithms is to re-identify the occluded tracking targets, which increases the number of identity switching occurrences. This paper focuses on online multi-object tracking and designs an anti-occlusion, robust association strategy, and feature extraction model. Specifically, the least squares algorithm and the Kalman filter are used to predict the trajectory of the tracking target, while the two-way self-attention mechanism is employed to extract the features of the tracking target, as well as positive and negative samples. After the tracking target is occluded, the association strategy is used to assign the identity information from before the occlusion. The recognition of food images is of great significance for nutrition monitoring, food retrieval and food recommendation. However, the accuracy of recognition had not been high enough due to the complex background of food images and the characteristics of small inter-class differences and large intra-class differences. To solve these problems, this paper proposed a food image recognition method based on transfer learning and ensemble learning. Firstly, generic image features were extracted by using the convolutional neural network models (VGG19, ResNet50, MobileNet V2, AlexNet) pre-trained on the ImageNet dataset. Secondly, the 4 pre-trained models were transferred to the food image dataset for model fine-tuning. Finally, different basic learner combination strategies were adopted to establish the ensemble model and classify feature information. In this paper, several kinds of experiments were performed to compare the results of food image recognition between single models and ensemble models on food-11 dataset. The experimental results demonstrated that the accuracy of the ensemble model was the highest, reaching 96.88%, which was superior to any base learner. Therefore, the convolutional neural network model based on transfer learning and ensemble learning has strong learning ability and generalization ability, and it is feasible and practical to apply the method to food image recognition. Traditional optical flame detectors (OFDs) in flame detection are susceptible to environmental interference, which will inevitably cause detection errors and miscalculations when confronted with a complex environment. The conventional deep learning-based models can mitigate the interference of complex environments by flame image feature extraction, which significantly improves the precision of flame recognition. However, these models focus on identifying the general profile of the static flame, but neglect to effectively locate the source of the dynamic flame. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel dynamic flame detection method named Dynamic Deformable Adaptive Framework (DDAF) for locating the flame root region dynamically. Specifically, to address limitations in flame feature extraction of existing detection models, the Deformable Convolution Network v2 (DCNv2) is introduced for more flexible adaptation to the deformations and scale variations of target objects. The Context Augmentation Module (CAM) is used to convey flame features into Dynamic Head (DH) to feature extraction from different aspects. Subsequently, the Layer-Adaptive Magnitude-based Pruning (LAMP) where the connection with the smallest LAMP score is pruned sequentially is employed to further enhance the speed of model detection. More importantly, both the coarse- and fine-grained location techniques are designed in the Inductive Modeling (IM) to accurately delineate the flame root region for effective fire control. Additionally, the Temporal Consistency-based Detection (TCD) contributes to improving the robustness of model detection by leveraging the temporal information presented in consecutive frames of a video sequence. Compared with the classical deep learning method, the experimental results on the custom flame dataset demonstrate that the AP0.5 value is improved by 4.4%, while parameters and FLOPs are reduced by 25.3% and 25.9%, respectively. With the widespread use of UAVs, UAV aerial image target detection technology can be used for practical applications in the military, traffic planning, personnel search and rescue and other fields. In this paper, we propose a multi-scale UAV aerial image detection method based on adaptive feature fusion for solving the problem of detecting small target objects in UAV aerial images. This method automatically adjusts the convolution kernel receptive field and reduces the redundant background of the image by adding an adaptive feature extraction module (AFEM) to the backbone network. This enables it to obtain more accurately and effectively small target feature information. In addition, we design an adaptive feature weighted fusion network (SBiFPN) to effectively enhance the representation of shallow feature information of small targets. Finally, we add an additional small target detection scale to the original network to expand the receptive field of the network and strengthen the detection of small target objects. The training and testing are carried out on the VisDrone public dataset. The experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve 38.5% mAP, which is 2.0% higher than the baseline network YOLOv5s, and can still detect the UAV aerial image well in complex scenes. To overcome the problem of the high initial position of the point cloud required by the traditional Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithm, in this paper, we propose a point cloud registration method based on normal vector and directional histogram features (SHOT). Firstly, a hybrid filtering method based on the voxel idea is proposed and verified using the measured point cloud data, and the noise removal rates of 97.5%, 97.8%, and 93.8% are obtained. Secondly, in terms of feature point extraction, the original algorithm is optimized, and the optimized algorithm can better extract the missing part of the point cloud. Finally, a fine alignment method based on normal vector and directional histogram features (SHOT) is proposed, and the improved algorithm is compared with the existing algorithm. Taking the Stanford University point cloud data and the self-measured point cloud data as examples, the plotted iteration-error plots can be concluded that the improved method can reduce the number of iterations by 40.23% and 37.62%, respectively. Mitosis is the process by which eukaryotic cells divide to produce two similar daughter cells with identical genetic material. Research into the process of mitosis is therefore of critical importance both for the basic understanding of cell biology and for the clinical approach to manifold pathologies resulting from its malfunctioning, including cancer. In this paper, we propose an approach to study mitotic progression automatically using deep learning. We used neural networks to predict different mitosis stages. We extracted video sequences of cells undergoing division and trained a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) to extract image features. The use of RNN enabled better extraction of features. The RNN-based approach gave better performance compared to classifier based feature extraction methods which do not use time information. Evaluation of precision, recall, and F-score indicates the superiority of the proposed model compared to the baseline. To study the loss in performance due to confusion between adjacent classes, we plotted the confusion matrix as well. In addition, we visualized the feature space to understand why RNNs are better at classifying the mitosis stages than other classifier models, which indicated the formation of strong clusters for the different classes, clearly confirming the advantage of the proposed RNN-based approach. Brain extraction is an important prerequisite for the automated diagnosis of intracranial lesions and determines, to a certain extent, the accuracy of subsequent lesion identification, localization, and segmentation. To address the problem that the current traditional image segmentation methods are fast in extraction but poor in robustness, while the Full Convolutional Neural Network (FCN) is robust and accurate but relatively slow in extraction, this paper proposes an adaptive mask-based brain extraction method, namely AMBBEM, to achieve brain extraction better. The method first uses threshold segmentation, median filtering, and closed operations for segmentation, generates a mask for the first time, then combines the ResNet50 model, region growing algorithm, and image properties analysis to further segment the mask, and finally complete brain extraction by multiplying the original image and the mask. The algorithm was tested on 22 test sets containing different lesions, and the results showed MPA = 0.9963, MIoU = 0.9924, and MBF = 0.9914, which were equivalent to the extraction effect of the Deeplabv3+ model. However, the method can complete brain extraction of approximately 6.16 head CT images in 1 second, much faster than Deeplabv3+, U-net, and SegNet models. In summary, this method can achieve accurate brain extraction from head CT images more quickly, creating good conditions for subsequent brain volume measurement and feature extraction of intracranial lesions. Silkworms are insects with important economic value, and mulberry leaves are the food of silkworms. The quality and quantity of mulberry leaves have a direct impact on cocooning. Mulberry leaves are often infected with various diseases during the growth process. Because of the subjectivity and time-consuming problems in artificial identification of mulberry leaf diseases. In this work, a multi-scale residual network fusion Squeeze-and-Excitation Networks (SENet) is proposed for mulberry leaf disease recognition. The mulberry leaf disease dataset was expanded by performing operations such as brightness enhancement, contrast enhancement, level flipping and adding Gaussian noise. Multi-scale convolution was used instead of the traditional single-scale convolution, allowing the network to be widened to obtain more feature information and avoiding the overfitting phenomenon caused by the network piling up too deep. SENet was introduced into the residual network to enhance the extraction of key feature information of the model, thus improving the recognition accuracy of the model. The experimental results showed that the method proposed in this paper can effectively improve the recognition performance of the model. The recognition accuracy reached 98.72%. The recall and F1 score were 98.73% and 98.72% respectively. A crucial part of sentiment classification is featuring extraction because it involves extracting valuable information from text data, which affects the model's performance. The goal of this paper is to help in selecting a suitable feature extraction method to enhance the performance of sentiment analysis tasks. In order to provide directions for future machine learning and feature extraction research, it is important to analyze and summarize feature extraction techniques methodically from a machine learning standpoint. There are several methods under consideration, including Bag-of-words (BOW), Word2Vector, N-gram, Term Frequency- Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF), Hashing Vectorizer (HV), and Global vector for word representation (GloVe). To prove the ability of each feature extractor, we applied it to the Twitter US airlines and Amazon musical instrument reviews datasets. Finally, we trained a random forest classifier using 70% of the training data and 30% of the testing data, enabling us to evaluate and compare the performance using different metrics. Based on our results, we find that the TD-IDF technique demonstrates superior performance, with an accuracy of 99% in the Amazon reviews dataset and 96% in the Twitter US airlines dataset. To accurately locate faulty components in analog circuits, an analog circuit fault diagnosis method based on Tunable Q-factor Wavelet Transform(TQWT) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the Grey Wolf algorithm (GWO) is used to improve the TQWT. The improved TQWT can adaptively determine the parameters Q-factor and decomposition level. Secondly, The signal is decomposed, and single-branch reconstruction is conducted with TQWT to facilitate adequate feature extraction. Thirdly, to capture the time-frequency features in the signal, a CNN-LSTM network is built by combining CNN and LSTM for feature extraction. Finally, CNN, which introduces Fully Convolutional Network (FCN) layers and a Batch Normalization layer, is used to fault diagnosis. The method was comprehensively evaluated with a second-order bandpass filter circuit. Vehicle re-identification (Re-ID) is a challenging task that aims to recognize the same vehicle across different non-overlapping cameras. Existing attention mechanism-based methods for vehicle Re-ID often suffer from significant intra-class variation and inter-class variation due to various factors such as illumination, occlusion, viewpoint, etc. In this paper, we propose a novel network architecture for vehicle Re-ID, named Dimensional Decoupling Strategy and Non-local Relationship Network (DMNR-Net), which uses three modules to extract complementary features: global feature extraction module, non-local relationship capture module(NRCM), and dimensional decoupling module (DDS). The global feature extraction module captures complete and coarse-grained features from the whole image; the NRCM module extracts saliency information from feature maps in both spatial and channel dimensions; and the DDS decouples spatial and channel features into two branches to extract fine-grained features and focus on specific subspaces. We conduct extensive experiments on two popular publicly datasets, VeRi-776 and VehicleID, to evaluate the effectiveness of our method.
