Abstract

This paper evaluates the scientific impact of social science scholars engaged with administrative duties in public universities in Turkey between 2011 and 2014. These scholars have a total of 812 Web of Science (WoS) publications. Theologians make up 17% of the administrators and they rank first. Administrators from theology, law and finance departments have the lowest scientific impact; on the other hand, administrators from geography, social service and psychology departments have higher scientific impact. The scientific contribution of such scholars to their universities is worth discussion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
