To analysis the influence of natural repose angle on the mined ore grade in open-pit mine, post-blast stockpile natural repose angle of African uranium open-pit mine, by using EDEM simulation, drone survey and Surpac software assisted analysis methods, were measured and compared. The mathematical model for predicting boundary of ore-rock was built based on the natural repose angle. The results shows that, average deviation between the simulated data and measured data of natural repose angle is 0. 775°, and the maximum deviation rate is 3. 8%. Both of methods can accurately measure the natural repose angle of loose ore and rock. Take the African uranium open-pit mine as an example, the mathematical model of ore-rock boundary was used to calculate the effect of natural repose angle on ore-rock boundary. It is estimated that the amount of valuable ores will increase by 650 000 tons and more than 190 tons of uranium metal can be recovered. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
