The paper presents a multi-objective optimization model and its solution algorithm for optimal signal phase sequence at pedestrian two-stage crossing intersections with mixed traffic flow characteristics. The signal sequence optimization objectives are the minimum total signal loss time, the minimum average motor vehicle delay, the minimum average non-motor vehicle delay and the minimum average pedestrian delay. A case study is given and the optimal signal phase sequence considering the comprehensive traffic benefits is obtained by using proposed model. Comparing with original phase sequence schemes, the total loss time, average motor vehicle delay, and average pedestrian delay are reduced by 1.86%,1.43% and 10.43%,respectively. An impedance analyzer based on Zunq-7000 FPGA and operational amplifier is designed in this paper. It uses the DAC 7621 installed on the XC7 Z020 development board to generate the excitation signal, and then the internal ADC collects the response of the measured impedance. It also uses the external analogue circuits to obtain the excitation signal and measure voltage and current. The magnitudes and phase shifts of voltage and current are evaluated using the three parameter sine fitting algorithm. The calibration procedure of completed device is presented and its accuracy is tested. The device is allowed for measurements at frequency range between 100 mHz and 100 kHz, and in 10 Ω to 100 Ω impedance range and has 2% accuracy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The 2D-MUSIC algorithm estimation of the 2D-DOA of the frequency hopping (FH) signal needs two dimensional spectrum peak joint search, and pairing causes a large calculation. In this paper, a 2D-DOA fast estimation algorithm for FH signal under uniform planar array based on derivation reduced dimension MUSIC is proposed. Firstly, the signal model and the space-time-frequency matrix are established based on the frequency-hopping signals received by the array. Secondly, the problem of two-dimensional DOA estimation is transformed into two-level one-dimensional DOA estimation problem. And the objective function is used to directly estimate the angle between the incident wave and the coordinate axis. Lastly, the 2D-DOA parameters of the frequency hopping signal are obtained according to the relationship between the direction of the wave and the included angle. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm improves the success rate and precision of 2D-DOA estimation under the premise of greatly reducing the calculation amount of 2D-MUSIC algorithm. Taking the gravity anomalies of regular shape bodies as conversion model, this paper summarizes the features three potential field data processing algorithms, and operates model calculation using gradient algorithm, analytical continuation algorithm, boundary extraction algorithm, respectively, based on Matlab. The gradient algorithm is able to recognize and separate the anomalies coming from different sources. The analytical continuation algorithm contributes to suppress and highlight the information of deep or shallow sources. The boundary extraction algorithm is skilled at reflecting the borders of sources in the form of gradient zone and phase step. Finally, the methods are applied to the processing and interpretation of the actual Bouger gravity anomalies data in Tarim Basin from the perspective of data mining. It is concluded that the major fracture systems that orientate NE, NW and NEE are parallel to the borders of the basin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents an extraction method of dual-tree complex wavelet domain primitive co-occurrence matrix. Local features of texture are described and characteristic values of image texture are extracted by using dual-tree complex wavelet domain as the analysis domain, and texture primitive as the basis. Experiments show that multi-scaled and multi-directional texture features can be effectively extracted by using this method while paying attention to local randomness and overall regularity. Thus the extracted features have good clustering separation and within-class sample difference. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the growing number of video media advertising elements, the detection of time and length of Advertisement Logo has become a new demand. Advertisement logos vary in shape features with their occurrence of randomness, and image contents between adjacent video frames may exist obvious difference. Considering such characteristics, based on dominant orientation templates (DOT), this paper ventures to put forward the real-time detection algorithm of Advertisement Logo in videos. The algorithm establishes specific matching template to eliminate the background interference in the target image, and introduce the weights template to suppress the generation of mismatching caused by the edge of the logo, at the same time DOT's feature compression on images can overcome the defect of high computation complexity shared by the traditional template matching method. The experimental results prove that the presented approach can balance retrieval performance with efficiency, and meets the requirements of Advertisement Logo detection in video. To solve jitter problem for vision system of tower crane, the paper uses estimation and projection combining Kalman filtering algorithm to stabilize the electronic image and remove jitter. The projection is based on a combination of estimation and the stability of Kalman filtering algorithm. In the estimation process, the video image is pre-processed by median filtering, motion estimation is completed by using projection method. The Kalman filter is used to compensate steady video, based on the jitter of the current vector frame. Due to use stable video image sequence, tower cranes can encounter a stable and clear video image sequences. Simulation results show that the method can improve the stability and accuracy, is more suitable for observation of tower crane and improves the efficiency and safety engineering. Aiming at the premature convergence problem of particle swarm optimization algorithm, this paper proposes an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm with adaptive mutation. Based on the variance of the population' s fitness and the current optimal solution size, the algorithm determines the best current variation factor of particles. Motion direction of the particle is changed by using variation factor. Then, the particles move into the adjacent regions to search and determine the new individual extreme and global extreme value. Thus, local optimal solution is avoided. The simulation results show that the adaptive mutation particle swarm optimization algorithm enhances the ability to jump out of local optimal solution, and its global search ability has been improved. Its convergence speed is faster, and can effectively avoid the premature convergence problem. Although the running time is increased, it is still in the acceptable range. A little time of obtaining the global optimal solution spends is worth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper studies the problem of color image edge detection. The existence of traditional edge detection algorithms were lots disadvantages such as the lower-resolution, low-intensity edge of the protection, hence a color image based on mathematical morphology was proposed to improve edge detection. This method used the mathematical form of four operations, dilation, erosion, opening, closing and other transformations and combinations. Depending on different sizes and structures of the element type, the algorithm gave an improved noise canceling edge morphology detection operator. It could efective detect a complete edge information, and maintain the smoothness of edges. Experimental results showed, comparing with the traditional edge detection algorithms, the proposed algorithm could extract the exact edge of the information, and held a strong noise immunity, was an efective edge detection method. With the rapid development of network, congestion appears frequently in the Internet. Queue management is an effective mean of congestion control at the network layer. Queue management algorithm can be divided into active queue management and passive queue management. By simulation experiment using NS2, the paper compares the active queue management algorithm RED and the passive queue management algorithm DropTail in the four aspects of the performance: the length of queue, throughput, packet loss ratio and queuing delay. With the analysis of simulation data, it is concluded that in terms of queue length, packet loss, delay, RED algorithm has the absolute advantage over DropTail algorithm ; in throughput, two algorithms have little difference. Thus, RED is more effective than the DropTail in the queue management algorithms, and a basis for the further study of congestion control mechanisms is provided. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
