In this study, the typhoon wave caused by "Meari" was simulated by using SWAN (Simulating WAves Nearshore) wave model, with CCMP (Cross-Calibrated, Multi-Platform) wind field as the driving field. Then the ditching probability was also calculated. The results can provide a reference to the carrier- based aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles and other low-flying aircraft, and also provide a scientific basis for the route planning to increase their survival ability, hidden penetration ability. Results show that, (1) The simulation wave data has high precision, and the simulation SWH (significant wave height) is slightly larger than the observation SWH. (2) The typhoon center does not locate in center of large center of SWH, nor in the center of low value center of SWH, but at the junction of high value center and the low value center of SWH. (3) During the northward process of typhoon "Meari", large value of SWH distribute in the fourth quadrant. (4) The large value of ditching probability locates in the fourth quadrant. Ditching probability around the typhoon center is much more larger than other waters, even up to 30% in some areas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
