The relative research on investigating the association between dietary diversity scores and anthropometric status among young children is few and inconsistent. Since understanding this association is quite essential to give more detailed advice about diet to ensure young children's healthy growth, we sought to determine the association between dietary diversity levels and anthropometric status among young children under 24 months. The study included 1408 mother−child pairs from the Tongji Maternal and Child Health Cohort, whose children range in age from 12 to 24 months. Multivariable logistic regressions were used to examine the effect of dietary diversity on children's anthropometric failure and obesity. All obese children aged 12 and 24 months had low‐medium diverse diets in their first year of life. Risks of anthropometric failure for 12‐month young children consumed low‐medium diverse diets in their first year and 24‐month young children consumed low‐medium diverse diets in their second year are, respectively, 1.27 (odds ratio [OR], 95% confidence interval [CI] = [1.06−1.53]) and 1.19 (OR, 95% CI = [1.02−1.40]) times of those who consumed high diverse diets in corresponding year. The risk of anthropometric failure for 24‐month‐old children who consumed low‐medium diverse diets during their first year of life is 4.70 (OR, 95% CI = [1.62−19.91]) times that of young children who consumed highly diverse diets during their first year of life. Introducing more diverse diets to young children under 24 months of age may be an effective strategy to prevent anthropometric failure and obesity in young children in later life. Aberrant signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) signaling promotes the initiation and progression of cancer in humans by either inhibiting apoptosis or inducing cell proliferation, angiogenesis, invasion, and metastasis. The role of resveratrol（RES）in inhibiting the STAT3 signaling pathway in vivo, particularly in cervical cancer is still unknown. This study aims to investigate the role of STAT3 and its phosphorylation in RES‐mediated suppression of cervical cancer. The effects of RES on cervical cancer were determined by examining tumor tissues, their histological changes, and the volume and weight of tumor tissues grown from HeLa cells injected in female athymic BALB/C nude mice. The structure and target interaction of RES were virtually screened using the molecular docking program Autodock Vina. The status of phosphorylated STAT3, protein levels of epithelial‐mesenchymal transition molecular markers and extracellular matrix degradation enzymes were determined through Western blot. We demonstrated that RES could suppress the proliferation and metastatic potential of cervical cancer cells by inactivating phosphorylation of STAT3 at Tyr705 but not Ser727. Background: Conscious sedation guided by bispectral index (BIS) during bronchoscopy has been proved to be a feasible approach. This study aimed to investigate the safety and efficacy of dexmedetomidine combined with midazolam for undergoing conscious sedation during bronchoscopy. Methods: The trial was registered prior to patient enrollment at the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry. Patients were randomized into DEX group (dexmedetomidine combined with midazolam) and FEN group (fentanyl combined with midazolam). Bronchoscopy was performed under awake sedation titrated to a BIS level of 60–80. The primary endpoint was the incidence of hypoxia, the secondary endpoint was the incidence of bradycardia and hypotension, effect of sedation including satisfaction degree (VAS) of the operators and patients and patients' willingness to undergo bronchoscopy again. Results: A total of 222 cases in DEX group and 211 cases in FEN group completed the study. The incidence of hypoxia and tachycardia in DEX group was lower than that in FEN group (8.1% vs 14.7%, 10.4% vs 19.0%, p < 0.05), and the incidence of hypotension and bradycardia in DEX group was higher than that in FEN group (6.8% vs 0, 15.3% vs 8.1%, p < 0.05). Midazolam dosage was significantly lower in the DEX group than in the FEN group, and the duration of surgery was significantly longer in the DEX group. The differences in intraoperative discomfort of VAS score, satisfaction VAS score, and willingness rate to undergo bronchoscopy again were not statistically significant between the two groups. In addition, the proportion of "procedural interference by patient movement" in DEX group was higher than that in FEN group. Conclusions: The conscious sedation regimen of dexmedetomidine combined with midazolam monitored by BIS is considered to be safe and effective during bronchoscopy. The occurrence of hypoxia and tachycardia was less, and the fluctuation of blood pressure and heart rate was mild, but the proportion of bradycardia in dexmedetomidine group was higher than that in fentanyl combined with midazolam group. Summary: Bacillus amyloliquefaciens FZB42 is a type of plant growth‐promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR) which activates induced systemic resistance (ISR) in Arabidopsis. Blocking of the synthesis of cyclic lipopeptides and 2,3‐butanediol by FZB42, which have been demonstrated to be involved in the priming of ISR, results in the abolishment of the plant defence responses. To further clarify the ISR activated by PGPRs at the microRNA (miRNA) level, small RNA (sRNA) libraries from Arabidopsis leaves after root irrigation with FZB42, FZB42ΔsfpΔalsS and control were constructed and sequenced. After fold change selection, promoter analysis and target prediction, miR846‐5p and miR846‐3p from the same precursor were selected as candidate ISR‐associated miRNAs. miR846 belongs to the non‐conserved miRNAs, specifically exists in Arabidopsis and its function in the plant defence response remains unclear. The disease severity of transgenic Arabidopsis overexpressing miR846 (OEmiR846) or knockdown miR846 (STTM846) against Pseudomonas syringae DC3000 suggests that the miR846 expression level in Arabidopsis is negatively correlated with disease resistance. Moreover, miR846 in Arabidopsis Col‐0 is repressed after methyl jasmonate treatment. In addition, jasmonic acid (JA) signalling‐related genes are up‐regulated in STTM846, and the stomatal apertures of STTM846 are also less than those in Arabidopsis Col‐0 after methyl jasmonate treatment. Furthermore, the disease resistance of STTM846 transgenic Arabidopsis against Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000 (Pst DC3000) is blocked by the addition of the JA biosynthetic inhibitor diethyldiethiocarbamic acid (DIECA). Taken together, our results suggest that B. amyloliquefaciens FZB42 inoculation suppresses miR846 expression to induce Arabidopsis systemic resistance via a JA‐dependent signalling pathway.
