The article reports on Bogotááá's dramatic development from one of the world's most dangerous city. This paper focuses on the reduced traffic problems in the city with the initiative of the government and the leaders who were intent on changing the face of the city. Bogotá a decade before was one of the major cities in the world which ranked high in traffic injuries and deaths but changed beginning in 1997. Dario Hidalgo, a transportation engineer tells how the city improved from the danger city to a more safer area by improving transportation traffic.
