The Eton-Myers collection contains 14 vessels and shards with black rims, which are characteristic of the early predynastic period in Egypt. In this study, five vessels from the collection were analyzed and their shapes and dates determined. The vessels were dated to different periods of Egyptian history, and it was found that the shapes of the vessels have changed over time. The study emphasizes the importance of archaeometric analysis in deepening the understanding of trade between Egypt and its neighbors in prehistory. [Extracted from the article]
