RELIGIOUS education , *EDUCATION policy , *ONE-way analysis of variance , *RELIGIOUS diversity , *EDUCATIONAL quality , *DELIBERATION - Abstract
Central to the ongoing deliberations concerning the future of religious education are inquiries situated within the macro-level realm of church and educational policy actions. Considering the dynamics associated with religious pluralization, individualization, and dechurching, the primary objective of this study is to explore whether differences exist at the micro-level of religious education in Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Hesse, and Brandenburg. The computation of a one-way ANOVA indicates no significant differences in the perceived instructional-related pluralism of religious education among these federal states. Given this context, the paper advocates for a heightened focus on the quality of religious education at the micro-level of specific task formats and didactic settings, rather than shifting the discourse to the macro-level of organizational formats. FRAUDULENT conveyances , *MUNICIPAL ordinances , *BANKRUPTCY - Abstract
Summary: Joachim von Exter and the reception of the actio Pauliana in Hamburg statute law. – On 23 May 1785, a certain Joachim von Exter defended his legal dissertation De actione Pauliana Hamburgi non introducta sed necessario introducenda at the University of Frankfurt an der Oder, under the auspices of Joachim Georg Darjes, professor of natural law. As the title of his thesis indicates, von Exter wanted to demonstrate that there had been no formal reception of the actio Pauliana , remedy against fraudulent conveyances in Justinianic law, in the statute law of his home town Hamburg up to his time, but that an incorporation of this legal institution was something to be desired. After a brief preliminary note on von Exter's quite colourful life, the paper traces the core theses of his work and the process of reception of the actio Pauliana in Hamburg. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

REAL estate sales , *OPTIMIZATION algorithms , *URBAN planning , *URBAN growth , *URBAN policy , *PUBLIC spaces , *URBANIZATION - Abstract
The global urban growth trend is also evident in Germany and the pressure on the real estate markets is pushing construction activity to the threshold of available building land. To limit urban expansion, additional space is to be created primarily through brownfield development, but here large housing potentials are usually only to be found on sites that are difficult to develop. The framework conditions that have arisen here in the interplay between land and real estatemarkets in conjunction with the multidimensionality of urban planning problems suggest a need for urban planners and researchers to develop more effectivemethods. This paper therefore describes a GISbasedmethod for optimising building sites, which can be used to evaluate sites in context and optimise them attribute-spatially. It combines a fuzzy methodology with a heuristic optimisation algorithm, the Parameterised Region-Growing, and demonstrates it using the example of the Holsten site in Hamburg. It successfully generates spatially compact and coherent, highly valued residential building areas, to which urban development parameters are assigned. Comparisons with existing planning show instructive results, e.g., regarding more effective utilisation of good micro-locations, realistic building density values and realisable area parameters. Effectiveness of rehabilitation services according German Social Act XII for persons with substance use disorders Abstract. Background: Rehabilitation services according to German Social Act XII (SGB XII) for persons with substance use disorders provided by mainly inpatient facilities in the greater Hamburg area are an important pillar of social and health care policy. Objective: The study analyzed the effectiveness of these interventions for new clients entering rehabilitation services with regard to the achievement of objectives in the areas of addiction and social integration which are determined in an agreement between client and rehabilitation staff on a regular basis at treatment onset. Methods: In a prospective pre-post-analysis both clients and rehabilitation staff were interviewed by means of a paper-pencil-survey. The interviews were conducted at treatment onset and after 6 months or, in case treatment was ended prior to the end of month 6, at an earlier date. Results: In total 255 clients were included in the study. The majority of clients either largely or fully met the agreed objectives in the areas of addiction and social integration. An improvement of the clients’ situation regarding substance use could be found in more than two thirds of all cases. Impairments according to ICF have decreased; psychological distress (BSI-18) and health-related quality of life (SF-12) have improved. A longer duration of interventions and a greater intensity of care show positive effects as to these improvements. Conclusion: The study is the first external evaluation of rehabilitation services according to German Social Act XII to show that the defined objectives are being fully met in a large part of clients. However, due to its single-arm study design the validity of this analysis is limited, further studies are required. Rehabilitation services according to German Social Act XII are an important supplement to the treatment system for persons with substance use disorders who are beyond the reach of regular health care measures and rehabilitation services.
