It could be argued that the negative historical judgments on the regime are definitely in the majority. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
The main aim of this paper is to describe the process of unionization of civil and penal trials undertaken by the Communist authorities after 1948, focusing on the Cluj Bar. Despite the high expectations, the unionization caused just discontent among the lawyers, even if few of them showed it explicitly. the unionization was abolished after two years, being replaced by a new system, which left more potential earnings to the single lawyer.
