This paper starts from the premise that a business management from a gender perspective would contribute to a balanced relationship between men and women in all political, economic and social fields, from the empowerment and economic autonomy of women, the less favored group. In this paper we try to give a brief scene on the gender theme and its relation to business management, as well as to point out some elements about the opportunities and challenges of the Cuban business system for the inclusion of gender perspective into the enterprise. In congresses VI and VII of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), important documents that guide the work of Cuban enterprises for the future years were approved. To identify the necessary knowledge and skills for the management of enterprises in this context, the author analyzed three sources: the trends of contemporary management at the international level; the main statements of the documents approved in these congresses that have an impact on the management of the companies; finally, the information on management skills with more weaknesses, identified in courses and workshops given to groups of Cuban entrepreneurs. The paper presents a summary of the main aspects that the author proposes that are part of the knowledge and skills systems that Cuban entrepreneurs must develop. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
