Photoelectron ejection is important in technological applications. Recently, the photoelectric effect was explained based on the electromagnetic (EM) wave concept. According to the EM wave concept, an electron within the conduction band of a photocell moves circularly. In this paper, we explain few facts regarding the photoelectric emission process, such as the radius of circular motion, maximum ejection angle, and depth of the photoelectron, based on the EM wave concept. Further, the effects of the intensity and frequency on these parameters are discussed. The ejection angle depends on the frequency and intensity of the light and the depth of the photoelectrons. The explanations herein may increase the applications of light energy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
