Abstract
Gilles Lipovetsky has gradually become one of the most internationally acclaimed scholars in modern French sociology due to his sharp analysis on post-modern societies. In this paper we will develop a critical revision of his main lines of thought. Our goal is to reflect upon the limits of Lipovetsky's approach to concepts such as post-modernity, hypermodernity and consumption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
