Abstract
The author presents his thoughts on Academia.edu, a website in which scholars can upload their research papers and follow the publications of others. He discusses the process of creating an account with the website as well as its features designed to establish an open-access format of information sharing. In addition, he covers the process by which information is retrieved, the global reach of his material, and his concerns over plagiarism.
