Abstract
The article discusses the effects of the implementation of teaching excellence framework (TEF) on the economy of Great Britain. According to the White Paper released by the British Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, there seems not to have effects on the budget of the country but the government wants to distance it from public expenditure and bureacracy. It adds that the success of the TEF will be based on the belief of universities that they can do well in order to raise funds.
