In this paper, stochastic predictive computing networks are exploited to investigate the dynamics of the SIS with vaccination impact based epidemic model (SISV-EM) represented by nonlinear systems of stochastic differential equations (SDEs) by exploitation of artificial neural networks (ANNs) with the backpropagated Levenberg-Marquardt technique (BLMT) i.e., (ANNs-BLMT) to approximate the solution behavior. The stochastic nonlinear SISV-EM is governed with three classes: susceptible, infectious, and vaccinated populations. The referenced or target datasets for ANNs-BLMT are constructed by employing Euler-Maruyama (EM) scheme for solving stochastic differential systems in case of sufficiently various nonlinear SISV-EM scenarios by varying the percentage of vaccination for newly born, the coefficient of transmission, the natural mortality rates, the infectious rates of recovery, the rate at which vaccinated people lose their immunity, the rate of death caused by disease, the proportion of vaccinated against susceptible and the white noise in the environment. Based on arbitrary training, testing, and validation samples from the referenced dataset, the ANNs-BLMT provides an approximate solution for the stochastic nonlinear SISV-EM, with significant correlations to the referenced results. Dielectric function, absorption coefficient, reflectivity, optical conductivity, energy loss spectra, index of refraction and extinction coefficient of AlGaX (X=P, As, Sb) in rocksalt phase, are calculated using full potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) method. All optical parameters are calculated in the incident photon energy range 0–25 eV. The maximum value of optical conductivity observed is 15 000 S. Index of refraction has a maximum value of 4.6. A decrease in the absorption coefficient and optical conductivity is observed when X is replaced by P, As and Sb. The extinction coefficient increases when P is replaced by As and Sb. The high value ( n = 4.6 ) of the index of refraction shows that AlGaX is a suitable alloy to be used in making advanced optical devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A four-level, sodium like atomic medium, driven by a probe and control fields, is used to modify the paraxial vectorial light beam in the medium. A uniform packet of vector arrows is controlled, whose shape is stable and undistorted during propagation, known as vectorial soliton. To the best of our knowledge, significant control over vectorial soliton is reported for the first time in the present work. Optical vectorial solitonic beams are controlled and manipulated with the parameters of the coupled fields with the system. The vectorial soliton is a strong, undistorted function of detunings, Rabi frequencies, and collective phase of the deriving fields, respectively. The modified vectorial solitons may have useful applications in telecommunication technology for delivering data bit streams over long distances and data processing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

HoMnO 3 and its La and Y doped compounds Ho 0.67 La 0.33 MnO 3 and Ho 0.67 Y 0.33 MnO 3 are investigated for their structural and thermoelectric transport properties. Small bandgaps of these compounds, as investigated by first principles calculations, make them suitable for application in thermoelectric devices. It is found that the bandgap of pure HoMnO 3 increases with La and Y dopants. Thermoelectric parameters such as Seebeck coefficient, electric conductivity and thermal conductivity are calculated and their dependences on chemical potential are reported. Electrical conductivity is found to be of the order of 10 20 1/m Ω s, and thermal conductivity of the order of 10 15 W/mKs for all these alloys. HoMnO 3 in pure form and in the presence of La and Y dopants is very suitable for thermoelectric devices and as alternative energy materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
