Several statistics about presidential libraries in the U.S. are presented, including the number of hours of recorded telephone conversations collected by the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum, the number of pages of historical records and papers at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library, and the year the Presidential Library system started.

Abstract
The article presents an overview of the American Library Association Archives, which has been housed at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 1973 and is home to a vast collection of records, including historical files, audiovisual materials and personal papers. A discussion of instructions on how to make donations to the archives which can be found at the web site archives.library.illinois.edu/ala/donate-materials is presented.
