Abstract
The article highlights the "International Research Conference on History of Computing," held from June 10 to 15, 1976 in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The conference was organized by Nick Metropolis and Jack Worlton of the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory. Lecturer Donald Knuth presented his paper on the history of programming languages. Other papers presented at the conference focused on historic names, historic machines, pre-history and software.

Abstract
The article reports that the authorities in northern New Mexico accidentally found some classified information from Los Alamos National Laboratory while arresting a man suspected of drug dealing. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been alerted about the secret documents, which police traced back to a woman linked to the suspected man.
