A Bibliometric Study of Communications Published in Journal of Informetrics from 2012 to 2016. This research study demonstrates a bibliometric study of scholarly communication published by Ahmedabad Library Network (ADINET) in proceedings of annual conference (seminar). ADINET celebrates Librarian's Day every year to commemorate the birthday of Dr. S R Ranganathan by organizing seminar in Gujarat, a leading state of India. This bibliometric study is intended to bring out the results of seminar proceedings published by ADINET from 2005 to 2019. This study investigated 176 papers published in Proceedings of ADINET seminar during 15 years. Study revealed that most of authors prefers to write for this seminar as a single author and out of 176 research papers 119 papers are written as single author whereas 36 papers found with double author and 21 papers published with three authors. It is also found from the study that Rashmi Kumbar and Shailesh Yagnik both are prominent authors whereas Gujarat is leading state published a maximum number of papers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Prahalad Chunnilal Vaidya was an eminent general relativist, gravitation theorist, physicist, mathematician, educationist and a follower of Gandhian philosophy in post-independence India. Apart from his scientific career, Vaidya is renowned for his Vaidya metric. Though he has contributed significantly to the scientific community, very few people are aware about him or his contributions. As 23 May 2019 was the 101st birth anniversary of Vaidya, here we present his contributions and their impact through a bibliometric study. This study presents an analysis of published research works of Vaidya. During his active career, he had contributed 102 publications, including 90 journal articles, 5 conference papers, 4 book chapters, 2 review articles and 1 report. His publications have received 2004 citations, h-index of 18 and i10-index of 29 from 1979 to 2018. We analysed Vaidya's publications by type, country, journals, publishers, citations, year-wise growth, collaborated authors, top cited papers, etc. This bibliometric study is an effort to draw the attention of the younger generation of scientists to Vaidya and his contributions. Chitosan is a biocompatible polymer with vast applications in pharmacology, medicine, paper making, agriculture, and the food industry due to its low toxicity. Chitosan also plays an important role in the sustainable environment since chitosan is able to absorb greenhouse gases, harmful organic matter, and heavy ions. Therefore, this paper conducts a bibliometric analysis of chitosan for sustainable development using the Scopus database from 1976 to 2023. A performance analysis on the 8002 documents was performed with Harzing's Publish or Perish. Science mapping was conducted using VOSviewer. The annual publication on chitosan for sustainable development showed an upward trend in recent years as the annual publication peaked in 2022 with 1178 documents with most of the documents being articles and published in journals. Material science, chemistry, and engineering are tightly related subject areas. China had the highest publication of 1560 total documents while the United States had the most impactful publication with 55,019 total citations, 68.77 citations per document, 77.6 citations per cited document, h-index 110, and g-index of 211. India had the largest international collaboration with 572 total link strength. "International Journal of Biological Macromolecules", "Carbohydrate Polymers", and "Polymers" have been identified as the top three source titles that publish the most documents on chitosan for sustainable development. The emerging trends in chitosan on sustainable development focus on the application of chitosan as an antibacterial agent and biosorbent for contaminants, especially in water treatment. The current study conducted to quantify the research contribution of Library and Information Science (LIS) women faculty of India between 1988 and 2018. The study prepared an inclusive list of Indian universities offering LIS education by visiting its official websites individually and collected the names and other details of the LIS women faculties engaged in the teaching profession. The bibliographical data were extracted from the Scopus database during the year 1988-2018. Finally, a total of 146 research articles published by 38 LIS women faculty in India. The core findings of this study were the majority of research works published in journal articles followed by review articles, conference papers, and book chapters respectively. It was also revealed that LIS women faculty of India tend to publish more in an international platform than a national one. Dual authorship found dominating among the LIS women faculty of India. Further study revealed that P. Mahajan was the most productive LIS women faculty of India from Panjab University. The study result suggests that very small portion participations in research contributions as the current study surveyed 129 universities offering LIS education in India. However, many universities do not have a single LIS women faculty. The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) can take necessary measures to boost up the research productivity of LIS women faculty of India. In the present era, the implementation of scientifically grounded Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) has emerged as a pivotal solution to diverse decision-making challenges across various domains. Although a substantial body of exploratory, conceptual, and experimental studies exists, only 9.457% studies have incorporated sensitivity analyses to assess the robustness of MCDM methods. An exhaustive scientific exploration of sensitivity analysis within the scope of MCDM is thus lacking. This research aims to address this gap through Bibliometric Analysis while examining 1374 articles published between January 2000 and March 2023 from the Scopus database. Using RStudio (Biblioshiny), CiteSpace, and VOSviewer software, the study constructs a visual representation of the most prolific countries, institutions, and authors. Impressively, China takes the lead in article publications, while India excels in international collaboration. "An extended TODIM multi-criteria group decision-making method for green supplier selection in an interval type-2 fuzzy environment," featured in the Journal of Environmental Management, emerges as the most cited paper with a total citation of 455. The study also identifies the top three most cited journals, namely "Journal of Cleaner Production," "Expert Systems With Applications," and "Computers and Industrial Engineering." "North China Electric Power University" is the leading institute with the highest research outputs. "Pamučar D" is the most cited author, with 2594 citations and 39 articles, followed by "Kahraman C" and "Zavadskas EK. This study sheds light on trends in scientific developments and collaborations, providing a model for the application of sensitivity analysis in MCDM research and highlighting global trends. An understanding of the current state of sensitivity analysis research can assist researchers working in the entire domain of MCDM. Tribes are the most vulnerable, particularly in healthcare. Health research in a population helps to understand the trends of various diseases and other social determinants causing them. Our study aims to perform a bibliometric analysis of Tribal research in India from its status quo. Materials and Methods: Research articles on tribal health were retrieved from Scopus and analyzed using MS Office, VOS viewer, and Word Cloud generator from January 2000 to December 2020. The number of research publications published each year, the clustering pattern of contributing authors, the most popular journals, the leading publication, document type, domain research areas, and commonly used keywords were all considered in the study. Results: As a result of the search, 1249 research publications were found. According to our selection criteria, only 395 research papers were included in the analysis. Approximately 43 research publications were published in 2020, but only three articles were published in 2000. Almost 35.7% of articles were published in traditional medicine, and 15.7% and 14.7% of articles were published in nutrition and infectious diseases. Less than 1% of articles were published in Health Policy, and 1.5% were published in Health Systems. Conclusions: The study results showed that the research on tribes has now been improving in the following years. Research into tribal mental health and health care systems should be encouraged. Alcoholic drinks have been prepared and consumed in India from ancient times. Many techniques are applied to brew alcohol locally, out of which rice beer is very prominent. Scientific research has been conducted to standardize the brewing technique of local tribes for mass production and storage. This study aims to explore India's publication pattern in rice beer research during 1990-2019. This study analyzes a total of 84 papers on rice beer obtained from the Web of Science database. The distribution of literature on rice beer has been analyzed year-wise, document wise, favoured research areas frequently occurred keywords. Data were extracted through the Web of Science database related to August 2020. Results revealed that: i) 2014 is the most productive year; ii) articles found to be the principal source of publications iii) the most preferred research area on rice beer is Food Science Technology; iv) the occurrence of keywords found with the help VOSviewer. Impact of heavy metal (HM) pollution and its understanding on environment as well as human beings has grown a lot during the last few decades. The goal of this study is to create a scientometric study on heavy metal contamination, in the period 1989 to 2020, in order to provide futuristic goals for the new researchers on wastewater treatment. For this, a search was conducted in the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases, related to heavy metal pollution. Totally, 37,154 records were collected during the study period from 1989 to 2020. The findings revealed that China, the United States, and India has most referenced papers across a wide range of trans disciplinary issues such as toxicity, technology, and pollution. As a result, this study concludes that more research on various treatment methods is required in order to obtain high-quality water for consumption and routine activities, with the incorporation of various treatment tasks poses various challenges for the upcoming future studies. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of the scholastic output on breast cancer in India. The purpose is to provide an overview of the research activities in the country on the subject during the last ten years, exploring different aspects of scientific literature. Data on 3529 items, including 2945 articles and 584 reviews published during 1 January 2005 to 31 December 2014 were collected using Scopus. An advanced search was conducted in the database. The search results were filtered for English language, journals, India and the period under study. Lotka's law was applied to assess the author productivity and Bradford's law of scattering was used to ascertain the distribution pattern of articles in journals. Most (about 96%) contributions were found to be an outcome of collaborative authorship. Around 19.05% of the papers had collaboration of four authors and 16.53% appeared due to collective efforts of three authors each. Trend of an increasing number of articles published over the period has been observed. Author productivity did not fit the Lotka's law with a value of n = 2. The distribution of articles in journals was found acceptable to the Bradford's law of scattering. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
