The aim of this paper is to carry out a geochemical multivariate analysis on Qolqola gold deposit which is located in Kordestan province of Iran. The analysis and interpretation of geochemical data was carried out based on the results of 543 drilling core samples analyzed for Cu, Pb, W, Mo, Ag, As, Bi, Hg and Au. The purpose of this paper is to use probability plot modeling method for anomaly separation and data classification. For this purpose, three sub-population from Au probability plot modeling was recognized and the thresholds obtained and labeled with the codes 0, 1, and 2 after modeling (code 0: Au < 60 ppb as background, code 1: 60 ppb < Au < 870 ppb as geochemical halo and code 2: Au > 870 ppb as anomaly range). The rearranged data set was used to evaluate discriminant function method. The results were introduced Ag, Hg, Sb, W and Pb as variables related to the mineralization event. The stepwise method was reduced the important variables as Au, Ag, As, W and Bi. Base on the exploration information from the study area, variables such as Ag, As, Sb, Hg, W, Pb were considered as variables were affected by Au mineralization event. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Formation of hydrothermal mineralization is related to the late stages of, or immediate following, orogenic compressional regimes that have been superimposed on arc magmatism. For instance, mineralization-related fluid flux mechanisms of porphyry Cu formation deal with how magmatic fluids are transferred from the corresponding source chambers to the environment of stock emplacement related to porphyry systems. In this paper, firstly, we review the imperative physicochemical processes of mineralizing fluid flux mechanisms, e.g., the function of intrusive, metalliferous compounds, and permeable structures, and then assemble them to translate the mechanism of forming focused fluid flux into 2D mappable criteria for mineral exploration targeting. According to the review and the ensuing knowledge and idea, we propose a simplifying approach by focusing on a geological point feature - inferred sites of strongly concentrated ore fluid flux - that represents a critical, if not the most critical, geological element in mineral exploration targeting. We demonstrate that this point feature can be derived as a mappable criterion and that there are stronger spatial and thermal relationships between the location of hydrothermal mineral deposits and this proposed point feature relative to the existing point and line features (e.g., intrusive contacts, fault density, fault intersections, and proximity to faults), which have been widely used in the procedure of prospectivity analysis for mineral exploration targeting. The Mesozoic Bazman granitoids are located in Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran. Geology of the study area consists of Carboniferous shale, sandstone, and limestone and Permian siltstone, shale, sandstone, limestone, and dolomite that were intruded by the Bazman granitoids. These granitoids include various phases of granite, granodiorite, quartz-monzodiorite, monzodiorite, diorite, and gabbro. They are metaluminous to slightly peraluminous, reduced, calc-alkaline and I-type, and display geochemical characteristics of continental margin (ensialic) granitoids. In this paper, field, petrography, and geochemical data were used to discriminate the Bazman granitoids either as productive or barren granitoids. Although there are a few skarn-related mineral occurrences adjacent to the Bazman granitoids, most exposed intrusions are not hydrothermally altered and mineralized. Rb/Sr, Zr/Hf, and K/Rb ratios indicate that the granitic magmas that formed most of the Bazman granitoids indicate that they are moderately evolved and have generally not undergone post-magmatic hydrothermal activity. The Sm/Eu and Rb/Ba ratios and the concentrations of Rb, Ba, and Sr within the aforementioned granitoids show that the rocks are similar to the averages of granitoids devoid of Li, Be, U, Sn, W, and Ta deposits. The I-type arc characteristics and other geochemical features of the Bazman granitoids show that they are not typical of parental magmas to Sn, W, Mo, and Zn mineralization, but are mainly fertile for Cu and Fe (Au) skarn-related granitoids.
