The article presents the highlights of the 10th International Cartographic Association Mountain Cartography Workshop held in Berchtesgaden, Germany, from April 26 to 30, 2016. Organized by the Institute for Cartography of Technical University of Dresden, the workshop presented 32 papers from participants from 13 countries. It discussed topics such as relief aspects, mountain and hiking cartography, and ecology-related aspects.
An introduction is presented in which the editor discusses articles in the issue on topics including workshops, symposia and free papers for ANCIPS 2019.
Information about several papers discussed at the fall workshop of the Viola da Gamba Society-New England (VdGS-NE) held at Brandeis University on November 7, 2015, is presented. Topics discussed include the Dutch revolt against the ruling Spanish Hapsburg dynasty. The workshop was hosted by Anne Legêne and Karen Burciaga. It also discusses the winter workshop of VdGS-NE held on January 23, 2016 at the Hancock Church in Lexington, Massachusetts.
