Email phishing is a social engineering scheme that uses spoofed emails intended to trick the user into disclosing legitimate business and personal credentials. Many phishing email detection techniques exist based on machine learning, deep learning, and word embedding. In this paper, we propose a new technique for the detection of phishing emails using word embedding (Word2Vec, FastText, and TF-IDF) and deep learning techniques (DNN and BiLSTM network). Our proposed technique makes use of only four header based (From, Returnpath, Subject, Message-ID) features of the emails for the email classification. We applied several word embeddings for the evaluation of our models. From the experimental evaluation, we observed that the DNN model with FastText-SkipGram achieved an accuracy of 99.52% and BiLSTM model with FastText-SkipGram achieved an accuracy of 99.42%. In this technological era, human activity recognition (HAR) plays a significant role in several applications like surveillance, health services, Internet of Things, etc. Recent advancements in deep learning and video summarization have motivated us to integrate these techniques for HAR. This paper introduces a computationally efficient HAR technique based on a deep learning framework, which works well in realistic and multi-view environments. Deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs) normally suffer from different constraints, including data size dependencies, computational complexity, overfitting, training challenges and vanishing gradients. Additionally, with the use of advanced mobile vision devices, the demand for computationally efficient HAR algorithms with the requirement of limited computational resources is high. To address these issues, we used integration of DCNN with video summarization using keyframes. The proposed technique offers a solution that enhances performance with efficient resource utilization. For this, first, we designed a lightweight and computationally efficient deep learning architecture based on the concept of identity skip connections (features reusability), which preserves the gradient loss attenuation and can handle the enormous complexity of activity classes. Subsequently, we employed an efficient keyframe extraction technique to minimize redundancy and succinctly encapsulate the entire video content in a lesser number of frames. To evaluate the efficacy of the proposed method, we performed the experimentation on several publicly available datasets. The performance of the proposed method is measured in terms of evaluation parameters Precision, Recall, F-Measure and Classification Accuracy. Regional debris flow susceptibility assessment is an effective method to prevent debris flow hazards, and deep learning is emerging as a novel approach in this discipline with the development of computers. However, when debris flow samples are insufficient, there will be problems like overfitting or misclassification. To overcome these problems, this paper proposes a semi-supervised deep neural network model (LPA-DNN) combined with label propagation algorithm (LPA), which utilizes high confidence unlabeled samples as pseudo-samples reasonably in few-label scenarios. Xinzhou, Shanxi Province, was selected as the study area, and a dataset containing 292 debris flow samples and 10 types of impact factors was compiled based on watershed units. Using the dataset and pseudo-samples, the LPA-DNN model was built to get debris flow susceptibility map. Meanwhile, DNN and SVM were set up for comparison to demonstrate that the proposed LPA-DNN model has excellent performance and higher accuracy. LPA-DNN alleviates the problem of low accuracy that caused by samples lacking in deep learning to a certain extent, and obtains great classification results, which proves that it is quite potential in regional debris flow susceptibility assessment. Simple Summary: Breast cancer is a significant cause of female cancer-related deaths in the US. Checking how severe the cancer is helps in planning treatment. Modern AI methods are good at grading cancer, but they are not used much in hospitals yet. We developed and utilized ensemble deep learning algorithms for addressing the tasks of classifying (1) breast cancer subtype and (2) breast cancer invasiveness from whole slide image (WSI) histopathology slides. The ensemble models used were based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) known for extracting distinctive features crucial for accurate classification. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive analysis of these models and the used methodology for breast cancer diagnosis tasks. Cancer diagnosis and classification are pivotal for effective patient management and treatment planning. In this study, a comprehensive approach is presented utilizing ensemble deep learning techniques to analyze breast cancer histopathology images. Our datasets were based on two widely employed datasets from different centers for two different tasks: BACH and BreakHis. Within the BACH dataset, a proposed ensemble strategy was employed, incorporating VGG16 and ResNet50 architectures to achieve precise classification of breast cancer histopathology images. Introducing a novel image patching technique to preprocess a high-resolution image facilitated a focused analysis of localized regions of interest. The annotated BACH dataset encompassed 400 WSIs across four distinct classes: Normal, Benign, In Situ Carcinoma, and Invasive Carcinoma. In addition, the proposed ensemble was used on the BreakHis dataset, utilizing VGG16, ResNet34, and ResNet50 models to classify microscopic images into eight distinct categories (four benign and four malignant). For both datasets, a five-fold cross-validation approach was employed for rigorous training and testing. Preliminary experimental results indicated a patch classification accuracy of 95.31% (for the BACH dataset) and WSI image classification accuracy of 98.43% (BreakHis). Stroke is a high morbidity and mortality disease that poses a serious threat to people's health. Early recognition of the various warning signs of stroke is necessary so that timely clinical intervention can help reduce the severity of stroke. Deep neural networks have powerful feature representation capabilities and can automatically learn discriminant features from large amounts of data. This paper uses a range of physiological characteristic parameters and collaborates with deep neural networks, such as the Wasserstein generative adversarial networks with gradient penalty and regression network, to construct a stroke prediction model. Firstly, to address the problem of imbalance between positive and negative samples in the stroke public data set, we performed positive sample data augmentation and utilized WGAN‐GP to generate stroke data with high fidelity and used it for the training of the prediction network model. Then, the relationship between observable physiological characteristic parameters and the predicted risk of suffering a stroke was modeled as a nonlinear mapping transformation, and a stroke prediction model based on a deep regression network was designed. Finally, the proposed method is compared with commonly used machine learning‐based classification algorithms such as decision tree, random forest, support vector machine, and artificial neural networks. The prediction results of the proposed method are optimal in the comprehensive measurement index F. A neural network model needs to be manually designed for ancient mural dynasty recognition, and this paper proposes an ancient mural dynasty recognition algorithm that is based on a neural architecture search (NAS). First, the structural edge information of mural images is extracted for use by the neural network model in recognizing mural missions. Second, an NAS algorithm that is based on contrast selection (CS) simplifies the architecture search to an incremental CS and then searches for the optimal network architecture on the mural dataset. Finally, the identified optimal network architecture is used for training and testing to complete the mural dynasty recognition task. The results show that the top accuracy of the proposed method on the mural dataset is 88.10%, the recall rate is 87.52%, and the precision rate is 87.69%. Each evaluation index used by the neural network model is superior to that of classical network models such as AlexNet and ResNet-50. Compared with NAS methods such as ASNG and MIGO, the accuracy of mural dynasty recognition is higher by an average of 4.27% when using the proposed method. The proposed method is verified on CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100, ImageNet16-120 and other datasets and achieves a good recognition accuracy in the NAS-bench-201 search space, which averages 93.26%, 70.73% and 45.34%, respectively, on the abovementioned datasets. This paper presents an in-depth study and analysis of oil painting classification and simulation using an improved embedded learning fusion vision perception algorithm. This paper analyzes and models the image quality evaluation problem by simulating the human visual system and extracting quality perception features as the main entry point to improve the prediction accuracy of the overall algorithm. This paper proposes a multi-classification method of CCNN, which uses the similarity measure based on information first to achieve multi-classification of artwork styles and artists, and this part is the main part of this paper. This paper uses the wiki art repository to construct a dataset of oil paintings, including over 2000 works by 20 artists in 13 styles. CNN achieves an accuracy of 85.75% on the artist classification task, which is far more effective than traditional deep learning networks such as Resnet. Finally, we use the network model of this paper and other network models to train the classification of 3, 4, and 6 categories of art images. The accuracy of art image classification by this paper's algorithm is higher than that of the current mainstream convolutional neural network models, and the extracted features are more comprehensive and more accurate than traditional art image feature extraction methods, which do not rely on researchers to extract image features. The quality of scientific publications can be measured by quantitative indices such as the h‐index, Source Normalized Impact per Paper, or g‐index. However, these measures lack to explain the function or reasons for citations and the context of citations from citing publication to cited publication. We argue that citation context may be considered while calculating the impact of research work. However, mining citation context from unstructured full‐text publications is a challenging task. In this paper, we compiled a data set comprising 9,518 citations context. We developed a deep learning‐based architecture for citation context classification. Unlike feature‐based state‐of‐the‐art models, our proposed focal‐loss and class‐weight‐aware BiLSTM model with pretrained GloVe embedding vectors use citation context as input to outperform them in multiclass citation context classification tasks. Our model improves on the baseline state‐of‐the‐art by achieving an F1 score of 0.80 with an accuracy of 0.81 for citation context classification. Moreover, we delve into the effects of using different word embeddings on the performance of the classification model and draw a comparison between fastText, GloVe, and spaCy pretrained word embeddings. Precise neurosurgical guidance is critical for successful brain surgeries and plays a vital role in all phases of image-guided neurosurgery (IGN). Neuronavigation software enables real-time tracking of surgical tools, ensuring their presentation with high precision in relation to a virtual patient model. Therefore, this work focuses on the development of a novel multimodal IGN system, leveraging deep learning and explainable AI to enhance brain tumor surgery outcomes. The study establishes the clinical and technical requirements of the system for brain tumor surgeries. NeuroIGN adopts a modular architecture, including brain tumor segmentation, patient registration, and explainable output prediction, and integrates open-source packages into an interactive neuronavigational display. The NeuroIGN system components underwent validation and evaluation in both laboratory and simulated operating room (OR) settings. Experimental results demonstrated its accuracy in tumor segmentation and the success of ExplainAI in increasing the trust of medical professionals in deep learning. The proposed system was successfully assembled and set up within 11 min in a pre-clinical OR setting with a tracking accuracy of 0.5 (± 0.1) mm. NeuroIGN was also evaluated as highly useful, with a high frame rate (19 FPS) and real-time ultrasound imaging capabilities. In conclusion, this paper describes not only the development of an open-source multimodal IGN system but also demonstrates the innovative application of deep learning and explainable AI algorithms in enhancing neuronavigation for brain tumor surgeries. Deficits in social verbal communication in individuals with Social Communication Disorder (SCD) is of concern and SCD in the human community is prevalent in large population throughout the globe. Deficits in verbal social communication are prevalent in a large population. This paper aimed to propose internet connected multi-system architecture which is capable to support verbal communication in a social environment for individuals with social communication deficits. Implementation methodology was included with corpus collection for specific communication, deep learning based machine training for intelligent communication, and implementation of the trained algorithm on internet connected electronic multiple social communication devices. The implemented system is smart enough to initiate and maintain two types of communication; the first type includes communication between multiple individuals on the remote location and the second type includes communication with the individual present in the physical listening range. The system was investigated in terms of its algorithmic parameters and found 97% to 100% in terms of training and testing accuracy with negligible mean squared error. Vocal-Friend analysed results based on audio-bot simulative conditions provide more than 91% accuracy, interaction rate and fallback rate. On the basis of the satisfaction analysis, above average results were noticed. In terms of technical implementations and satisfaction analysis, results found acceptable with above average score. Proposed framework is easy to use by caregivers with even having little knowledge. Support individual with deficit to learn social verbal communication skill to survive in society. Based on a DL model, this work intended to build a multi-classification technique for diagnosing skin cancers such as melanoma (MEL), basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and melanocytic nevi (MN). In this paper, we have proposed a novel model, a deep learning-based skin cancer classification network (DSCC_Net) that is based on a convolutional neural network (CNN), and evaluated it on three publicly available benchmark datasets (i.e., ISIC 2020, HAM10000, and DermIS). For the skin cancer diagnosis, the classification performance of the proposed DSCC_Net model is compared with six baseline deep networks, including ResNet-152, Vgg-16, Vgg-19, Inception-V3, EfficientNet-B0, and MobileNet. Adaptive algorithms are widely used in deep learning because of their fast convergence. Among them, Adam is the most widely used algorithm. However, studies have shown that Adam's generalization ability is weak. AdaX is a variant of Adam, which introduces a novel second-order momentum, modifies the second-order moment of Adam, and has good generalization ability. However, these algorithms may fail to converge due to instability and extreme learning rates during training. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive and momental bound algorithm, called AdaXod, which characterizes of exponentially averaging the learning rate and is particularly useful for training deep neural networks. By setting an adaptively limited learning rate in the AdaX algorithm, the resultant AdaXod can effectively eliminate the problem of excessive learning rate in the later stage of neural networks training and thus results in stable training. We conduct extensive experiments on different datasets and verify the advantages of the AdaXod algorithm by comparing with other advanced adaptive optimization algorithms. Non-invasive skin imaging techniques allow for improved diagnostic accuracy; however, their use is often limited due to the need for skilled practitioners trained to interpret images in a standardized fashion. Recent innovations in artificial intelligence (AI)-based techniques for skin lesion image interpretation show potential for the use of AI in the early detection of melanoma. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the current state of AI-based techniques used in combination with non-invasive diagnostic imaging modalities including reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and dermoscopy. We also aimed to determine whether the application of AI-based techniques can lead to improved diagnostic accuracy of melanoma. Methods: A systematic search was conducted via the Medline/PubMed, Cochrane, and Embase databases for eligible publications between 2018 and 2022. Screening methods adhered to the 2020 version of the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. Included studies utilized AI-based algorithms for melanoma detection and directly addressed the review objectives. Results: We retrieved 40 papers amongst the three databases. All studies directly comparing the performance of AI-based techniques with dermatologists reported the superior or equivalent performance of AI-based techniques in improving the detection of melanoma. In studies directly comparing algorithm performance on dermoscopy images to dermatologists, AI-based algorithms achieved a higher ROC (>80%) in the detection of melanoma. In these comparative studies using dermoscopic images, the mean algorithm sensitivity was 83.01% and the mean algorithm specificity was 85.58%. Studies evaluating machine learning in conjunction with OCT boasted accuracy of 95%, while studies evaluating RCM reported a mean accuracy rate of 82.72%. Conclusions: Our results demonstrate the robust potential of AI-based techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes through the early identification of melanoma. Further studies are needed to assess the generalizability of these AI-based techniques across different populations and skin types, improve standardization in image processing, and further compare the performance of AI-based techniques with board-certified dermatologists to evaluate clinical applicability. Federated learning (FL), a relatively new area of research in medical image analysis, enables collaborative learning of a federated deep learning model without sharing the data of participating clients. In this paper, we propose FedDropoutAvg, a new federated learning approach for detection of tumor in images of colon tissue slides. The proposed method leverages the power of dropout, a commonly employed scheme to avoid overfitting in neural networks, in both client selection and federated averaging processes. We examine FedDropoutAvg against other FL benchmark algorithms for two different image classification tasks using a publicly available multi-site histopathology image dataset. We train and test the proposed model on a large dataset consisting of 1.2 million image tiles from 21 different sites. For testing the generalization of all models, we select held-out test sets from sites that were not used during training. We show that the proposed approach outperforms other FL methods and reduces the performance gap (to less than 3% in terms of AUC on independent test sites) between FL and a central deep learning model that requires all data to be shared for centralized training, demonstrating the potential of the proposed FedDropoutAvg model to be more generalizable than other state-of-the-art federated models. In this paper, we have designed an artificial neural network architecture to produce metric field of planar BTZ and quintessence black holes applying a data-driven approach andleveraging holography principle (according to AdS/DL (Anti de Sitter/Deep Learning) correspondence given by [1]). Data has been collected by choosing minimally coupled massive scalar field with quantum fluctuations and we try to process two emergent and ground-truth metrics versus the holographic parameter which plays the role of depth of the neural network. Loss or error function which shows rate of deviation of these two metrics in presence of penalty regularization term reaches to its minimum value when values of the learning rate approach to the observed steepest gradient point. Values of the regularization or penalty term of the quantum scalar field has critical role to matching this two mentioned metric. Also, we design an algorithm which helps us to find optimum value for learning parameter and finally, we understand that loss function convergence heavily depends on the number of epochs and learning rate. With the development of deep learning theory and the decrease of the cost of acquiring massive data, the image semantic segmentation algorithm based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) is gradually replacing the conventional segmentation algorithm by its high accuracy segmentation performance. By increasing the amount of training data and stacking more convolutional layers to form Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (DCNNs), a neural network model with higher segmentation accuracy can be obtained, but it faces the problems of serious memory consumption and long latency. For some special application scenarios, such as augmented reality and mobile interaction, real-time processing cannot be performed. To improve the speed of semantic segmentation while obtaining the most accurate segmentation results as possible, this paper proposes a semantic segmentation algorithm based on lightweight convolutional neural networks. Taking the computational complexity and segmentation accuracy into account, the algorithm starts from the perspective of extracting high-level semantic features and introduces a position-attention mechanism with richer contextual information to model the relationship between different pixels, avoiding the convolutional local perceptual field to be too small. To recover clearer target boundaries, a channel attention mechanism is introduced in the decoding part of the model to mine more useful feature channel information and effectively improve the fusion of low-level features with high-level features. By verifying the effectiveness of the above model on a publicly available dataset and comparing it with the more popular semantic segmentation methods, the model proposed in this paper has higher semantic segmentation accuracy and reflects certain advantages in objective evaluation. Background: Deficits in the ability to use language in social contexts, including storytelling skills, are observed across the autism spectrum. Development in machine‐learning approaches may contribute to clinical psychology and psychiatry, given its potential to support decisions concerning the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions and disorders. Aims: To evaluate the usefulness of deep neural networks for detecting autism spectrum disorder (ASD) from textual utterances, specifically from narrations produced by individuals with ASD. Methods & Procedures: We examined two text encoders: Embeddings from Language Models (ELMo) and Universal Sentence Encoder (USE), and three classification algorithms: XGBoost, support vector machines, and dense neural network layer. We aimed to classify 25 participants with ASD and 25 participants with typical development (TD) based on their narrations produced during the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS‐2) picture book task. The results of computational approaches were compared with the results of standardized testing and classifications made by two psychiatrists (raters). The raters were asked to read utterances produced by a participant (without an examiner's statements and additional information) and assign a participant to one of the two groups: ASD or with typical development (TD). Outcomes & Results: The computer‐based models had higher sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive values and negative predictive values than the raters, and lower than the two standardized instruments: ADOS‐2 and Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ). Conclusions & Implications: Our findings lay the groundwork for future studies involving deep neural network‐based text representation models as tools for augmenting the ASD diagnosis or screening. In recent years, with the acceleration of urbanization and the implementation of compulsory education, the pressure on students' study and life has increased, and the phenomenon of psychological and behavioral problems has become increasingly prominent. Effective expression classification can assist psychology researchers to study psychology and other disciplines and analyze children's psychological activities and mental states by classifying expressions, thereby reducing the occurrence of psychological behavior problems. Most of the current mainstream methods focus on the exploration of text explicit features and the optimization of representation models, and few works pay attention to deeper language expressions. Metaphors, as language expressions often used in daily life, are closely related to an individual's emotion, cognition, and psychological state. This paper studies children's smiling face recognition based on deep neural network. In order to obtain a better identification effect of mental health problems of children, this paper attempts to use multisource data, including consumption data, access control data, network logs, and grade data, and proposes a multisource data-based mental health problem identification algorithm. The main research focus is feature extraction, trying to use one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1D-CNN) to mine students' online patterns from online behavior sequences, calculate abnormal scores based on students' consumption data in the cafeteria, and describe the dietary differences among students. At the same time, this paper uses the students' psychological state data provided by the psychological center as a label to improve the deficiencies caused by the questionnaire. This paper uses the training set to train five common classification algorithms, evaluates them through the validation set, and selects the best classifier as our algorithm and uses it to identify students with mental health problems in the test set. Recent years, the motion deblurring algorithm based on deep learning has been widely concerned, while single defocus image deblurring is rarely studied. In order to specifically solve the defocus blur problem of single image, this paper proposed a defocus deblurring algorithm based on deep recurrent neural network. Firstly, the algorithm used two cascaded residual networks to estimate the defocus map and image deblurring, respectively. After that, to ensure that the depth features of defocus map and clear images could better propagate across stages and interact within stages, the algorithm introduced LSTM ( long short-term memory) as a recurrent layer in the residual network. Finally, the whole residual network underwent several iterations and reused the network parameters during the iterative stages. To train the network, this paper produced a synthetic defocus blur image dataset, where each defocus blurred image contained a corresponding clear image and defocus map. The experimental results show that, compared with existing defocus deblurring methods, the proposed algorithm has significant advantages in both the subjective and objective image quality evaluation, and can produce sharper edges and clear details in the restoration results. On the real defocus blur dual-pixel image dataset DPD, the proposed algorithm improves the peak signal-to-noise ratio ( PSNR) and structural similarity( SSIM ) by 0. 77 dB and 5. 6%, respectively, compared with DPDNet-Single. Object tracking based on Siamese networks has achieved great success in recent years, but increasingly advanced trackers are also becoming cumbersome, which will severely limit deployment on resource-constrained devices. To solve the above problems, we designed a network with the same or higher tracking performance as other lightweight models based on the SiamFC lightweight tracking model. At the same time, for the problems that the SiamFC tracking network is poor in processing similar semantic information, deformation, illumination change, and scale change, we propose a global attention module and different scale training and testing strategies to solve them. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, this paper has done comparative experiments on the ILSVRC, OTB100, VOT2018 datasets. Dedicated equipment, which is widely used in many different types of vehicles, is the core system that determines the combat capability of special vehicles. Therefore, assuring the normal operation of dedicated equipment is crucial. With the increase in battlefield complexity, the demand for equipment functions is increasing, and the complexity of dedicated equipment is also increasing. To solve the problem of fault diagnosis of dedicated equipment, a fault diagnosis algorithm based on CNN-LSTM was proposed in this paper. CNN and LSTM are used in the model adopted by the algorithm to extract spatial and temporal features from the data. CBAM is used to enhance the model's accuracy in identifying faults for dedicated equipment. Data on dedicated equipment faults were obtained from a hardware-in-loop simulation platform to verify the model. The study demonstrates that by focusing on the tumor region of interest and augmenting the available data, there is a significant improvement in both the accuracy and confidence of tumor grade classifications. While successful in differentiating low-grade gliomas from high-grade gliomas, the accurate classification of grades 2, 3, and 4 remains challenging. The research findings have significant implications for advancing the development of a non-invasive, robust, and trustworthy data-driven system to support clinicians in the diagnosis and therapy planning of glioma patients. Glioma is the most common type of tumor in humans originating in the brain. According to the World Health Organization, gliomas can be graded on a four-stage scale, ranging from the most benign to the most malignant. The grading of these tumors from image information is a far from trivial task for radiologists and one in which they could be assisted by machine-learning-based decision support. However, the machine learning analytical pipeline is also fraught with perils stemming from different sources, such as inadvertent data leakage, adequacy of 2D image sampling, or classifier assessment biases. In this paper, we analyze a glioma database sourced from multiple datasets using a simple classifier, aiming to obtain a reliable tumor grading and, on the way, we provide a few guidelines to ensure such reliability. Our results reveal that by focusing on the tumor region of interest and using data augmentation techniques we significantly enhanced the accuracy and confidence in tumor classifications. Evaluation on an independent test set resulted in an AUC-ROC of 0.932 in the discrimination of low-grade gliomas from high-grade gliomas, and an AUC-ROC of 0.893 in the classification of grades 2, 3, and 4. The study also highlights the importance of providing, beyond generic classification performance, measures of how reliable and trustworthy the model's output is, thus assessing the model's certainty and robustness. Introduction: A peripheral blood smear is a basic test for hematological disease diagnosis. This test is performed manually in many places worldwide, which requires both time and qualified staff. Large laboratories are equipped with digital morphology analyzers, some of which are based on deep learning methods. However, it is difficult to explain to scientists how they work. In this paper, we proposed to add an explanatory factor to enhance the interpretability of deep learning models in leukocyte classification. Methods: 10 297 single images of leukocytes obtained from peripheral blood smears were included in this study. Pre‐trained and fully trained VGG16 and VGG19 models were used to classify the leukocytes, and Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP) DeepExplainer was applied to visualize the area of cells that were significant for classification. The output images from the DeepExplainer were compared with cellular elements that are essential to laboratory practice. Results: The accuracy of our fully trained models was 99.81% for VGG16 and 99.79% for VGG19. It achieved slightly better results than the partially trained model, which scored 98.67% for VGG16 and 98.33% for VGG19. Their SHAP explanations indicated the significance of cellular structures in microscopic examination. Explanations in the pre‐trained models have proved the cell and nucleus contours to be relevant to classification, while explanations in the fully trained models pointed to the cytoplasm area. Conclusion: Despite different SHAP DeepExplainer explanations for fully and partially trained models, this method appears to be helpful for the verification of leukocyte classification in automated peripheral blood smear examination. Combining computational technologies and humanities is an ongoing effort aimed at making resources such as texts, images, audio, video, and other artifacts digitally available, searchable, and analyzable. In recent years, deep neural networks (DNN) dominate the field of automatic text analysis and natural language processing (NLP), in some cases presenting a super‐human performance. DNNs are the state‐of‐the‐art machine learning algorithms solving many NLP tasks that are relevant for Digital Humanities (DH) research, such as spell checking, language detection, entity extraction, author detection, question answering, and other tasks. These supervised algorithms learn patterns from a large number of "right" and "wrong" examples and apply them to new examples. However, using DNNs for analyzing the text resources in DH research presents two main challenges: (un)availability of training data and a need for domain adaptation. This paper explores these challenges by analyzing multiple use‐cases of DH studies in recent literature and their possible solutions and lays out a practical decision model for DH experts for when and how to choose the appropriate deep learning approaches for their research. Background: Auditory–perceptual assessment of voice is a subjective procedure. Artificial intelligence with deep learning (DL) may improve the consistency and accessibility of this task. It is unclear how a DL model performs on different acoustic features. Aims: To develop a generalizable DL framework for identifying dysphonia using a multidimensional acoustic feature. Methods & Procedures: Recordings of sustained phonations of /a/ and /i/ were retrospectively collected from a clinical database. Subjects contained 238 dysphonic and 223 vocally healthy speakers of Chinese Mandarin. All audio clips were split into multiple 1.5‐s segments and normalized to the same loudness level. Mel frequency cepstral coefficients and mel‐spectrogram were extracted from these standardized segments. Each set of features was used in a convolutional neural network (CNN) to perform a binary classification task. The best feature was obtained through a five‐fold cross‐validation on a random selection of 80% data. The resultant DL framework was tested on the remaining 20% data and a public German voice database. The performance of the DL framework was compared with those of two baseline machine‐learning models. Outcomes & Results: The mel‐spectrogram yielded the best model performance, with a mean area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.972 and an accuracy of 92% in classifying audio segments. The resultant DL framework significantly outperformed both baseline models in detecting dysphonic subjects on both test sets. The best outcomes were achieved when classifications were made based on all segments of both vowels, with 95% accuracy, 92% recall, 98% precision and 98% specificity on the Chinese test set, and 92%, 95%, 90% and 89%, respectively, on the German set. Conclusions & Implications: This study demonstrates the feasibility of DL for automatic detection of dysphonia. The mel‐spectrogram is a preferred acoustic feature for the task. This framework may be used for vocal health screening and facilitate automatic perceptual evaluation of voice in the era of big data. Summary: Data center networks (DCNs) are facing challenging control problems such as flow scheduling, congestion control, load balancing, and bandwidth allocation when dynamically handling heterogeneous mice and elephant flows. This paper focuses on the load balancing in DCNs as an online decision‐making problem with high complexity (NP‐hard problem). Traditional load balancing approaches are usually the heuristic algorithms relying on the operator's viewpoint and a short‐term knowledge of the traffic conditions and network environment. This paper proposes DeepRLB, a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)‐based load balancing approach for software‐defined networking‐based DCNs which exploits the deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) algorithm to adaptively learn the link‐weight values by observing the traffic flow characteristics. The actor and critic neural networks in the DDPG model have been designed based on two learning models: fully connected (DeepRLB‐Full) and convolutional (DeepRLB‐Conv). The output of the model is further used by the controller to determine the forwarding paths for traffic flows accordingly. We evaluated the performance of DeepRLB by comparing it with ECMP as well as a per‐packet load balancing algorithm in three different data center topologies under 30 heterogeneous traffic demand matrices. The obtained results showed that the DeepRLB algorithm outperforms the ECMP with respect to studied load balancing metrics considerably (DeepRLB‐Conv achieved the best performance). As a sample, DeepRLB‐Full and DeepRLB‐Conv were able to reach 19.14% and 24.46% reduction in the total number of over‐utilized and under‐utilized network links compared to ECMP, respectively. We developed a lightweight, accurate, general-purpose deep learning algorithm for skin cancer classification. Squeeze-MNet combines a Squeeze algorithm for digital hair removal during preprocessing and a MobileNet deep learning model with predefined weights. The Squeeze algorithm extracts important image features from the image, and the black-hat filter operation removes noise. The MobileNet model (with a dense neural network) was developed using the International Skin Imaging Collaboration (ISIC) dataset to fine-tune the model. The proposed model is lightweight; the prototype was tested on a Raspberry Pi 4 Internet of Things device with a Neo pixel 8-bit LED ring; a medical doctor validated the device. The average precision (AP) for benign and malignant diagnoses was 99.76% and 98.02%, respectively. Using our approach, the required dataset size decreased by 66%. For enhancing the quality of the endoscopic images, the presented MRFOTL-GCDC technique executes the Wiener filter (WF) to perform a noise removal process. In the presented MRFOTL-GCDC technique, MRFO with SqueezeNet model is used to derive the feature vectors. Since the trial-and-error hyperparameter tuning is a tedious process, the MRFO algorithm-based hyperparameter tuning results in enhanced classification results. Finally, the Elman Neural Network (ENN) model is utilized for the GC classification. To depict the enhanced performance of the presented MRFOTL-GCDC technique, a widespread simulation analysis is executed. Ship fire is one of the greatest dangers to ship navigation safety. Nevertheless, typical detection methods have limited detection effectiveness and accuracy due to distance restrictions and ship motion. Although the issue can be addressed by image recognition algorithms based on deep learning, the computational complexity and efficiency for ship detection are tough. This paper proposes a lightweight target identification technique based on the modified YOLOv4-tiny algorithm for the precise and efficient detection of ship fires, taking into account the distinctive characteristics of ship fires and the marine environment. Initially, a multi-scale detection technique is applied to broaden the detection range and integrate deep semantic information, thereby enhancing the feature information of small targets and obscured objects and improving the detection precision. Then, the proposed algorithm employs the SE attention mechanism for inter-channel feature fusion to improve the capability of feature extraction and the precision of ship fire detection. Last but not least, picture transformation and migration learning are added to the small ship fire dataset to accelerate the convergence pace, improve the convergence effect, and reduce dataset dependence. The simulation experiments reveal that the proposed I-YOLOv4-tiny + SE model outperforms the benchmark algorithm in terms of ship fire detection accuracy and detection efficiency and that it satisfies the real-time ship fire warning criteria in demanding maritime environments. This paper investigates the stochastic optimization problem focusing on developing scalable parallel algorithms for deep learning tasks. Our solution involves a reformation of the objective function for stochastic optimization in neural network models, along with a novel parallel computing strategy, coined the weighted aggregating stochastic gradient descent (WASGD). Following a theoretical analysis on the characteristics of the new objective function, WASGD introduces a decentralized weighted aggregating scheme based on the performance of local workers. Without any center variable, the new method automatically gauges the importance of local workers and accepts them by their contributions. Furthermore, we have developed an enhanced version of the method, WASGD+, by (1) implementing a designed sample order and (2) upgrading the weight evaluation function. To validate the new method, we benchmark our pipeline against several popular algorithms including the state-of-the-art deep neural network classifier training techniques (e.g., elastic averaging SGD). Comprehensive validation studies have been conducted on four classic datasets: CIFAR-100, CIFAR-10, Fashion-MNIST, and MNIST. Subsequent results have firmly validated the superiority of the WASGD scheme in accelerating the training of deep architecture. Vehicle fault detection and diagnosis (VFDD) along with predictive maintenance (PdM) are indispensable for early diagnosis in order to prevent severe accidents due to mechanical malfunction in urban environments. This paper proposes an early voiceprint driving fault identification system using machine learning algorithms for classification. Previous studies have examined driving fault identification, but less attention has focused on using voiceprint features to locate corresponding faults. This research uses 43 different common vehicle mechanical malfunction condition voiceprint signals to construct the dataset. These datasets were filtered by linear predictive coefficient (LPC) and wavelet transform(WT). After the original voiceprint fault sounds were filtered and obtained the main fault characteristics, the deep neural network (DNN), convolutional neural network (CNN), and long short-term memory (LSTM) architectures are used for identification. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the CNN algorithm is the best for the LPC dataset. In addition, for the wavelet dataset, DNN has the best performance in terms of identification performance and training time. After cross-comparison of experimental results, the wavelet algorithm combined with DNN can improve the identification accuracy by up to 16.57% compared with other deep learning algorithms and reduce the model training time by up to 21.5% compared with other algorithms. Realizing the cross-comparison of recognition results through various machine learning methods, it is possible for the vehicle to proactively remind the driver of the real-time potential hazard of vehicle machinery failure. With the widespread adoption of service-oriented architectures (SOA), services with the same functionality but the different Quality of Service (QoS) are proliferating, which is challenging the ability of users to build high-quality services. It is often costly for users to evaluate the QoS of all feasible services; therefore, it is necessary to investigate QoS prediction algorithms to help users find services that meet their needs. In this paper, we propose a QoS prediction algorithm called the MFDK model, which is able to fill in historical sparse QoS values by a non-negative matrix decomposition algorithm and predict future QoS values by a deep neural network. In addition, this model uses a Kalman filter algorithm to correct the model prediction values with real-time QoS observations to reduce its prediction error. Through extensive simulation experiments on the WS-DREAM dataset, we analytically validate that the MFDK model has better prediction accuracy compared to the baseline model, and it can maintain good prediction results under different tensor densities and observation densities. The super-resolution (SR) reconstruction of a single image is an important image synthesis task especially for medical applications. This paper is studying the application of image segmentation for lung cancer images. This research work is utilizing the power of deep learning for resolution reconstruction for lung cancer-based images. At present, the neural networks utilized for image segmentation and classification are suffering from the loss of information where information passes through one layer to another deep layer. The commonly used loss functions include content-based reconstruction loss and generative confrontation network. The sparse coding single-image super-resolution reconstruction algorithm can easily lead to the phenomenon of incorrect geometric structure in the reconstructed image. In order to solve the problem of excessive smoothness and blurring of the reconstructed image edges caused by the introduction of this self-similarity constraint, a two-layer reconstruction framework based on a smooth layer and a texture layer is proposed for a medical application of lung cancer. This method uses a global nonzero gradient number constrained reconstruction model to reconstruct the smooth layer. The proposed sparse coding method is used to reconstruct high-resolution texture images. Finally, a global and local optimization models are used to further improve the quality of the reconstructed image. An adaptive multiscale remote sensing image super-division reconstruction network is designed. The selective core network and adaptive gating unit are integrated to extract and fuse features to obtain a preliminary reconstruction. This paper presents a method of high-capacity and transparent watermarking based on the usage of deep neural networks with the adjustable subsquares properties algorithm to encode the data of a watermark in high-quality video using the H.265/HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding) codec. The aim of the article is to present a method of embedding a watermark in a video with HEVC codec compression by making changes in a video in a way that is not noticeable to the naked eye. The method presented here is characterised by focusing on ensuring the accuracy of the original image in relation to the watermarked image, providing the transparency of the embedded watermark, while ensuring its survival after compression by the HEVC codec. The article includes a presentation of the practical results of watermark embedding with a built-in variation mechanism of its capacity and resistance, thanks to the adjustable subsquares properties algorithm. The obtained PSNR (peak signal-to-noise ratio) results are at the level of 40 dB or better. There is the possibility of the complete recovery of a watermark from a single frame compressed in the CRF (constant rate factor) range of up to 16, resulting in a BER (bit error rate) equal to 0 for the received watermark. Vocal fold, a significant body structure, is accountable for phonation, which regulates air motion within and out of the lungs. The disorders in the vocal fold influence the quality of life. Thus, diagnosis of vocal fold disorders has a significant need, and CT of the neck is employed for an effective imaging scheme. Accordingly, this paper proposes an advanced multi-resolution algorithm (MRA) that optimally identifies and classifies pathologies. The vocal regions are acquired using the genetic k-means algorithm. The pathology features are generated using the local directional pattern (LDP) fed to pathology classification using moth search-rider optimization-based deep convolutional neural networks (MRA-based DCNN). The hybrid optimization (MRA), integrates the standard rider optimization algorithm (ROA) and moth search algorithm (MS) that trains deep learning classifier (DCNN). Colon and rectal cancers are the most common kinds of cancer globally. Colon cancer is more prevalent in men than in women. Early detection increases the likelihood of survival, and treatment significantly increases the likelihood of eradicating the disease. The Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) programme is an excellent source of domestic cancer statistics. SEER includes nearly 30% of the United States population, covering various races and geographic locations. The data are made public via the SEER website when a SEER limited-use data agreement form is submitted and approved. We investigate data from the SEER programme, specifically colon cancer statistics, in this study. Our objective is to create reliable colon cancer survival and conditional survival prediction algorithms. In this study, we have presented an overview of cancer diagnosis methods and the treatments used to cure cancer. This paper presents an analysis of prediction performance of multiple deep learning approaches. The performance of multiple deep learning models is thoroughly examined to discover which algorithm surpasses the others, followed by an investigation of the network's prediction accuracy. The simulation outcomes indicate that automated prediction models can predict colon cancer patient survival. A comprehensive systematic study was carried out in order to identify various deep learning methods developed and used for predicting student academic performance. Predicting academic performance allows for the implementation of various preventive and supportive measures earlier in order to improve academic performance and reduce failure and dropout rates. Although machine learning schemes were once popular, deep learning algorithms are now being investigated to solve difficult predictions of student performance in larger datasets with more data attributes. Deep neural network prediction methods with clear modelling and parameter measurements formulated on publicly available and recognised datasets are the focus of the research. Widely used for academic performance prediction, backpropagation algorithms have been trained and tested with various datasets, especially those related to learning management systems (LMS) and massive open online courses (MOOC). The most widely used prediction method appears to be the standard artificial neural network approach. The long-short-term memory (LSTM) approach has been reported to achieve an accuracy of around 87 percent for temporal student performance data. To ensure the safe operation of highway traffic lines, given the imperfect feature extraction of existing road pit defect detection models and the practicability of detection equipment, this paper proposes a lightweight target detection algorithm with enhanced feature extraction based on the YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm. The BIFPN (Bidirectional Feature Pyramid Network) network structure is used for multi-scale feature fusion to enhance the feature extraction ability, and Varifocal Loss is used to optimize the sample imbalance problem, which improves the accuracy of road defect target detection. In the evaluation test of the model in the constructed PCD1 (Pavement Check Dataset) dataset, the mAP@.5 (mean Average Precision when IoU = 0.5) of the BV-YOLOv5S (BiFPN Varifocal Loss-YOLOv5S) model increased by 4.1%, 3%, and 0.9%, respectively, compared with the YOLOv3-tiny, YOLOv5S, and B-YOLOv5S (BiFPN-YOLOv5S; BV-YOLOv5S does not use the Improved Focal Loss function) models. Through the analysis and comparison of experimental results, it is proved that the proposed BV-YOLOv5S network model performs better and is more reliable in the detection of pavement defects and can meet the needs of road safety detection projects with high real-time and flexibility requirements. Metastatic femoral tumors may lead to pathological fractures during daily activities. A CT-based finite element analysis of a patient's femurs was shown to assist orthopedic surgeons in making informed decisions about the risk of fracture and the need for a prophylactic fixation. Improving the accuracy of such analyses ruqires an automatic and accurate segmentation of the tumors and their automatic inclusion in the finite element model. We present herein a deep learning algorithm (nnU-Net) to automatically segment lytic tumors within the femur. A dataset consisting of fifty CT scans of patients with manually annotated femoral tumors was created. Forty of them, chosen randomly, were used for training the nnU-Net, while the remaining ten CT scans were used for testing. The deep learning model's performance was compared to two experienced radiologists. The proposed algorithm outperformed the current state-of-the-art solutions, achieving dice similarity scores of 0.67 and 0.68 on the test data when compared to two experienced radiologists, while the dice similarity score for inter-individual variability between the radiologists was 0.73. The automatic algorithm may segment lytic femoral tumors in CT scans as accurately as experienced radiologists with similar dice similarity scores. Most trackers are only dependent on the first frame as a template to search for and locate the target location in subsequent videos. However, objects may undergo occlusions and deformation over time, and the original snapshot of the object can no longer accurately reflect the current appearance of the object, which greatly limits the performance improvement of the tracker. In this paper, we propose a novel Siamese tracking algorithm with symmetric structure called SiamRDT, which reflects the latest appearance and motion states of objects through additional reliable dynamic templates. The model decides whether to update the dynamic template according to the quality estimation score and employs the attention mechanism to enhance the reliability of the dynamic template, adopting the depth-wise correlation algorithm to integrate the initial template and the dynamic template and the search area. Through reliable dynamic templates and credible initial templates, the model can fuse initial-state information and the latest-state information of objects. We conduct sufficient ablation experiments to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed key components, and the tracker achieves very competitive results on four large-scale tracking benchmarks, namely OTB100, GOT-10k, LaSOT, and TrackingNet. Siamese network-based object tracking algorithms have recently gained popularity due to continuous improvement in tracking accuracy and robustness. However, these trackers are often limited by inefficient initialization and unstable online update. The model drift accumulates as more frames are processed. To address the above issues, this paper introduced a method that combines both deep learning and conventional regression algorithms (SVR, Support Vector Regression). Specifically, we propose a feature projection algorithm, which can effectively reduce the dimension of the features extracted from deep neural networks and improve the distinguishability of them at the same time. To make the features more robust for SVR training, we further propose two feature aggregation methods at both the channel level and the spatial level. We update the SVR model online instead of the deep neural network to make the tracking process more robust. Aiming at the problems of poor signal detection effect caused by many interference factors in large-scale MIMO technology scene, this paper proposes a 5G massive MIMO signal detection algorithm based on deep learning. Firstly, the MIMO system model based on neural network is constructed, and Deep Neural Network (DNN) detection is introduced into the receiver of the traditional MIMO system to obtain the information bits or codewords and channel state information transmitted by transmitters. Then, the end-to-end training method is adopted to make neural network learn the mapping relationship of information bits or codewords transmitted by system transceivers. Furthermore, DNN detector is improved based on Simplified Message Passing Detection (sMPD) algorithm, and the correction factor is updated continuously to optimize network parameters to realize the accurate detection and decoding of the MIMO system. Finally, the proposed algorithm is experimentally analyzed based on the TensorFlow deep learning framework. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most generally known neurodegenerative disorder, leading to a steady deterioration in cognitive ability. Deep learning models have shown outstanding performance in the diagnosis of AD, and these models do not need any handcrafted feature extraction over conventional machine learning algorithms. Since the 2012 AlexNet accomplishment, the convolutional neural network (CNN) has been progressively utilized by the medical community to assist practitioners to early diagnose AD. This paper explores the current cutting edge applications of CNN on single and multimodality (combination of two or more modalities) neuroimaging data for the classification of AD. An exhaustive systematic search is conducted on four notable databases: Google Scholar, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, and PubMed in June 2021. The objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of classification approaches on AD to analyze different kinds of datasets, neuroimaging modalities, preprocessing techniques, and data handling methods. Autonomous driving approaches today are mainly based on perception-planning-action modular pipelines and the End2End paradigm respectively. The End2End paradigm is a strategy that directly maps raw sensor data to vehicle control actions. This strategy is very promising and appealing because complex module design and cumbersome data labeling are avoided. Since this approach lacks a degree of interpretability, safety and practicability. we propose an autonomous driving approach based on trajectory learning using deep neural networks in this paper. In comparison to End2End algorithm, it is found that the trajectory learning algorithm performs better in autonomous driving. As for trajectory learning algorithm, the CNN_Raw-RNN network structure is established, which is verified to be more effective than the original CNN_LSTM network structure. Besides, we propose an autonomous driving architecture of a pilot and copilot combination. The pilot is responsible for trajectory prediction via imitation learning with labeled driving trajectories, while the copilot is a safety module that is employed to verify the effectiveness of the vehicle trajectory by the results of the semantic segmentation auxiliary task. The sharing of English teaching resources has always been a concern. In order to further improve the value of different English teaching resources, this paper proposes a resource management system based on an improved collaborative recommendation algorithm. The proposed model can predict user behavior based on deep learning models of graph neural network (GNN) and recurrent neural network (RNN). The graph neural network can capture the hidden state of local user behavior and be used as a preprocessing step. Recurrent neural networks can capture time series information. Therefore, the model is constructed by combining GNN and RNN to obtain the advantages of both. In order to prove the effectiveness of the model, we used CNGrid's real user behavior dataset in the experiment and finally compared the results with other methods. The different deep learning-based models achieved a precision of up to 88% and outperformed other traditional models. In many machine learning applications and algorithms, the algorithm performance and accuracy are highly dependent on the metric used to measure the distance between different samples. Therefore, learning a distance metric specific to the data can improve these algorithms' performance. This paper proposes an unrestricted deep metric learning framework based on neural networks' interaction for learning metrics in latent space. The proposed method is inspired by generative neural nets (GANs), in which two neural nets are working together to learn true data distribution. In our method, one network plays the role of a supervisor for another network, a feature learning auto-encoder. Its task is to learn transformation to latent space in which data have more meaningful distance and separability. i.e., the supervisor gets the output of the auto-encoder and sends feedback to modify its weights. They interact with each other interleavingly. Several experiments were conducted on four datasets, such as MNIST, GISETTE, Winnipeg Cropland Classification (WCC), and swarm behavior, from different application domains, to evaluate the proposed method's performance. The results show that we can force auto-encoder to learn label information to project data into a latent space with better separability by using our approach. In addition to better class discrimination, the proposed method is far faster than normal auto-encoders during feature learning and has much less training time in the classification phase.
