One of the most widely used measures of scientific impact is the number of citations. However, due to its heavy-tailed distribution, citations are fundamentally difficult to predict but can be improved. This study was aimed at investigating the factors and parts influencing the citation number of a scientific paper in the otology field. Therefore, this work proposes a new solution that utilizes machine learning and natural language processing to process English text and provides a paper citation as the predicted results. Different algorithms are implemented in this solution, such as linear regression, boosted decision tree, decision forest, and neural networks. The application of neural network regression revealed that papers' abstracts have more influence on the citation numbers of otological articles. This new solution has been developed in visual programming using Microsoft Azure machine learning at the back end and Programming Without Coding Technology at the front end. Machine learning (ML), a form of artificial intelligence (AI), is being increasingly employed in neurology. Reported performance metrics often match or exceed the efficiency of average clinicians. The neurologist is easily baffled by the underlying concepts and terminologies associated with ML studies. The superlative performance metrics of ML algorithms often hide the opaque nature of its inner workings. Questions regarding ML model's interpretability and reproducibility of its results in real-world scenarios, need emphasis. Given an abundance of time and information, the expert clinician should be able to deliver comparable predictions to ML models, a useful benchmark while evaluating its performance. Predictive performance metrics of ML models should not be confused with causal inference between its input and output. ML and clinical gestalt should compete in a randomized controlled trial before they can complement each other for screening, triaging, providing second opinions and modifying treatment. In this paper two procedures are developed for the identification of the parameters contained in an orthotropic elastic-plastic-hardening model for free standing foils, particularly of paper and paperboard. The experimental data considered are provided by cruciform tests and digital image correlation. A simplified version of the constitutive model proposed by Xia et al. (Int J Solids Struct 39:4053-4071, ) is adopted. The inverse analysis is comparatively performed by the following alternative computational methodologies: (a) mathematical programming by a trust-region algorithm; (b) proper orthogonal decomposition and artificial neural network. This paper is about the opposite of judgement and calculation. This opposition has been a traditional anchor of critiques concerned with the rise of AI decision making over human judgement. Contrary to these approaches, it is argued that human judgement is not and cannot be replaced by calculation, but that it is human judgement that contextualises computational structures and gives them meaning and purpose. The article focuses on the epistemic structure of algorithms and artificial neural networks to find that they always depend on human judgement to be related to real life objects or purposes. By introducing the philosophical concept of judgement, it becomes clear that the property of judgement to provide meaning and purposiveness is based on the temporality of human life and the ambiguity of language, which quantitative processes lack. A juxtaposition shows that calculations and clustering can be used and referred to in more or less prejudiced and reflecting as well as opaque and transparent ways, but thereby always depend on human judgement. The paper clearly asserts that the transparency of AI is necessary for their autonomous use. This transparency requires the explicitness of the judgements that constitute these computational structures, thereby creating an awareness of the conditionality of such epistemic entities. This paper aims to build a machine learning and a neural network model to detect the probability of money laundering in banks. The paper's data came from a simulation of actual transactions flagged for money laundering in Middle Eastern banks. The main findings highlight that criminal networks mainly use the integration stage to integrate money into the financial system. Fraudsters prefer to launder funds in the early hours, morning followed by the business day's afternoon time intervals. Most models of quantum neural networks are optimized based on gradient descent, and like classical neural networks, gradient descent suffers from the barren plateau phenomenon, which reduces the effectiveness of optimization. Therefore, this paper establishes a new QNN model, the optimization process adopts efficient quantum particle swarm optimization, and tentatively adds a quantum activation circuit to our QNN model. Our model will inherit the superposition property of quantum and the random search property of quantum particle swarm. A neural network model needs to be manually designed for ancient mural dynasty recognition, and this paper proposes an ancient mural dynasty recognition algorithm that is based on a neural architecture search (NAS). First, the structural edge information of mural images is extracted for use by the neural network model in recognizing mural missions. Second, an NAS algorithm that is based on contrast selection (CS) simplifies the architecture search to an incremental CS and then searches for the optimal network architecture on the mural dataset. Finally, the identified optimal network architecture is used for training and testing to complete the mural dynasty recognition task. The results show that the top accuracy of the proposed method on the mural dataset is 88.10%, the recall rate is 87.52%, and the precision rate is 87.69%. Each evaluation index used by the neural network model is superior to that of classical network models such as AlexNet and ResNet-50. Compared with NAS methods such as ASNG and MIGO, the accuracy of mural dynasty recognition is higher by an average of 4.27% when using the proposed method. The proposed method is verified on CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100, ImageNet16-120 and other datasets and achieves a good recognition accuracy in the NAS-bench-201 search space, which averages 93.26%, 70.73% and 45.34%, respectively, on the abovementioned datasets. This paper presents novel way to achieve fast and accurate Artificial Neural Network (ANN) modeling of Radio Frequency (RF) front end Low Noise Amplifier (LNA). Multilayer perceptron neural network is implemented to model high gain, ultra-low noise pseudomorhic High Electron Mobility Transistor (pHEMT) based LNA. Datasets are developed for input and output that is obtained from the Electro-Magnetic simulator. Different neural networks such as PatternNet, FitNet, and CascadeForwardNet with different algorithms are trained, tested, and compared to learn the behavior of the amplifier, and the best model is analyzed. Neural networks are modeled for LNA S-parameters and NF. It is observed that greater than 99% accuracy is achieved for PatternNet Bayesian regularization algorithm with less number of hidden layers and also it is found that the simulation results are almost similar to the developed ANN. This paper explores the different insider employee-led cyber frauds (IECF) based on the recent large-scale fraud events of prominent Indian banking institutions. Examining the different types of fraud and appropriate control measures will protect the banking industry from fraudsters. In this study, we identify and classify Cyber Fraud (CF), map the severity of the fraud on a scale of priority, test the mitigation effectiveness, and propose optimal mitigation measures. The identification and classification of CF losses were based on a literature review and focus group discussions with risk and vigilance officers and cyber cell experts. The CF was analyzed using secondary data. We predicted and prioritized CF based on machine learning-derived Random Forest (RF). An efficient fraud mitigation model was developed based on an offender-victim-centric approach. Mitigation is advised both before and after fraud occurs. Through the findings of this research, banks and fraud investigators can prevent CF by detecting it quickly and controlling it on time. This study proposes a structured, sustainable CF mitigation plan that protects banks, employees, regulators, customers, and the economy, thus saving time, resources, and money. Photocatalysts have made great contributions to the degradation of pollutants to achieve environmental purification. The traditional method of developing new photocatalysts is to design and perform a large number of experiments to continuously try to obtain efficient photocatalysts that can degrade pollutants, which is time-consuming, costly, and does not necessarily achieve the best performance of the photocatalyst. The rapid development of photocatalysis has been accelerated by the rapid development of artificial intelligence. Intelligent algorithms can be utilized to design photocatalysts and predict photocatalytic performance, resulting in a reduction in development time and the cost of new catalysts. In this paper, the intelligent algorithms for photocatalyst design and photocatalytic performance prediction are reviewed, especially the artificial neural network model and the model optimized by an intelligent algorithm. A detailed discussion is given on the advantages and disadvantages of the neural network model, as well as its application in photocatalysis optimized by intelligent algorithms. The use of intelligent algorithms in photocatalysis is challenging and long term due to the lack of suitable neural network models for predicting the photocatalytic performance of photocatalysts. The prediction of photocatalytic performance of photocatalysts can be aided by the combination of various intelligent optimization algorithms and neural network models, but it is only useful in the early stages. This paper presents an in-depth study and analysis of oil painting classification and simulation using an improved embedded learning fusion vision perception algorithm. This paper analyzes and models the image quality evaluation problem by simulating the human visual system and extracting quality perception features as the main entry point to improve the prediction accuracy of the overall algorithm. This paper proposes a multi-classification method of CCNN, which uses the similarity measure based on information first to achieve multi-classification of artwork styles and artists, and this part is the main part of this paper. This paper uses the wiki art repository to construct a dataset of oil paintings, including over 2000 works by 20 artists in 13 styles. CNN achieves an accuracy of 85.75% on the artist classification task, which is far more effective than traditional deep learning networks such as Resnet. Finally, we use the network model of this paper and other network models to train the classification of 3, 4, and 6 categories of art images. The accuracy of art image classification by this paper's algorithm is higher than that of the current mainstream convolutional neural network models, and the extracted features are more comprehensive and more accurate than traditional art image feature extraction methods, which do not rely on researchers to extract image features. The quality of scientific publications can be measured by quantitative indices such as the h‐index, Source Normalized Impact per Paper, or g‐index. However, these measures lack to explain the function or reasons for citations and the context of citations from citing publication to cited publication. We argue that citation context may be considered while calculating the impact of research work. However, mining citation context from unstructured full‐text publications is a challenging task. In this paper, we compiled a data set comprising 9,518 citations context. We developed a deep learning‐based architecture for citation context classification. Unlike feature‐based state‐of‐the‐art models, our proposed focal‐loss and class‐weight‐aware BiLSTM model with pretrained GloVe embedding vectors use citation context as input to outperform them in multiclass citation context classification tasks. Our model improves on the baseline state‐of‐the‐art by achieving an F1 score of 0.80 with an accuracy of 0.81 for citation context classification. Moreover, we delve into the effects of using different word embeddings on the performance of the classification model and draw a comparison between fastText, GloVe, and spaCy pretrained word embeddings. Precise neurosurgical guidance is critical for successful brain surgeries and plays a vital role in all phases of image-guided neurosurgery (IGN). Neuronavigation software enables real-time tracking of surgical tools, ensuring their presentation with high precision in relation to a virtual patient model. Therefore, this work focuses on the development of a novel multimodal IGN system, leveraging deep learning and explainable AI to enhance brain tumor surgery outcomes. The study establishes the clinical and technical requirements of the system for brain tumor surgeries. NeuroIGN adopts a modular architecture, including brain tumor segmentation, patient registration, and explainable output prediction, and integrates open-source packages into an interactive neuronavigational display. The NeuroIGN system components underwent validation and evaluation in both laboratory and simulated operating room (OR) settings. Experimental results demonstrated its accuracy in tumor segmentation and the success of ExplainAI in increasing the trust of medical professionals in deep learning. The proposed system was successfully assembled and set up within 11 min in a pre-clinical OR setting with a tracking accuracy of 0.5 (± 0.1) mm. NeuroIGN was also evaluated as highly useful, with a high frame rate (19 FPS) and real-time ultrasound imaging capabilities. In conclusion, this paper describes not only the development of an open-source multimodal IGN system but also demonstrates the innovative application of deep learning and explainable AI algorithms in enhancing neuronavigation for brain tumor surgeries. Eddy current thermography (ECT) is a non-invasive testing method that combines electromagnetic induction and infrared thermography to identify flaws in materials that conduct electricity. However, ECT faces difficulties in accurately locating and classifying defects owing to its low signal-to-noise ratio and complex defect patterns. In this paper, we propose a new method that integrates an improved faster region-convolutional neural network (R-CNN) and an adaptive Canny algorithm to enhance the defect detection performance of ECT. An improved faster R-CNN is a deep neural network that can automatically detect and locate multiple defects in a single ECT image, whereas the adaptive Canny algorithm is an edge detection technique that can identify defect boundaries. The proposed method was tested using a dataset of ECT images with different types of defects. Numerous data centers have adopted heterogeneous computing server to accelerate the processing speed with various applications. However, as the growth of efficiency, the issue of high power consumption is increasingly becoming crucial. Traditional researchers focus on the developing strategies for power efficiency that neglects the importance of power prediction that substantially impacts on energy planning on data center. Different to the previous work, this paper utilizes the advantage of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to design and implement an improved algorithm of power consumption prediction on heterogeneous computing server with various types of jobs. First, the impact of multi-type of jobs has been taken into account, i.e., CPU-intensive, memory-intensive, I/O-intensive and GPU-intensive. We collect the data trace from these jobs by a set of benchmarks. Then, based on the collected data trace, power prediction algorithm has been established, so that developing an improved ANN-based power consumption prediction algorithm with CNN-BiLSTM neural network and attention mechanism. Specifically, one dimensional CNN is utilized to perform local feature extraction and dimension reduction on the input, the BiLSTM network is adopted to extract high-level features from the above results. The miscellaneous features extracted are filtered out by using attention mechanism. Last, the experiment has been conducted, and the peculiarity for four types of jobs has been discussed. Mathematical modeling of many natural and physical phenomena in industry, engineering sciences and basic sciences lead to linear and non-linear devices. In many cases, the coefficients of these devices, taking into account qualitative or linguistic concepts, show their complexity in the form of Z-numbers. Since Z-number involves both fuzziness and reliability or probabilistic uncertainty, it is difficult to obtain the exact solution to the problems with Z-number. In this work, a method and an algorithm are proposed for the approximate solution of a Z-number linear system of equations as an important case of such problems. The paper is devoted to solving linear systems where the coefficients of the variables and right hand side values are Z-numbers. An algorithm is presented based on a ranking scheme and the neural network technique to solve the obtained system. The features of the kernel extreme learning machine—efficient processing, improved performance, and less human parameter setting—have allowed it to be effectively used to batch multi-label classification tasks. These classic classification algorithms must at present contend with accuracy and space–time issues as a result of the vast and quick, multi-label, and concept drift features of the developing data streams in the practical application sector. The KELM training procedure still has a difficulty in that it has to be repeated numerous times independently in order to maximize the model's generalization performance or the number of nodes in the hidden layer. In this paper, a kernel extreme learning machine multi-label data classification method based on the butterfly algorithm optimized by particle swarm optimization is proposed. The proposed algorithm, which fully accounts for the optimization of the model generalization ability and the number of hidden layer nodes, can train multiple KELM hidden layer networks at once while maintaining the algorithm's current time complexity and avoiding a significant number of repeated calculations. The simulation results demonstrate that, in comparison to the PSO-KELM, BBA-KELM, and BOA-KELM algorithms, the PSOBOA-KELM algorithm proposed in this paper can more effectively search the kernel extreme learning machine parameters and more effectively balance the global and local performance, resulting in a KELM prediction model with a higher prediction accuracy. In the present state of the health care system, skin cancer identification is a time-consuming procedure and if it is not diagnosed initially then it can be threatening to human life. To attain a high prospect of complete recovery, early detection of skin cancer is crucial. In the last several years, the application of deep learning (DL) algorithms for the detection of skin cancer has grown in popularity. Based on a DL model, this work intended to build a multi-classification technique for diagnosing skin cancers such as melanoma (MEL), basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and melanocytic nevi (MN). In this paper, we have proposed a novel model, a deep learning-based skin cancer classification network (DSCC_Net) that is based on a convolutional neural network (CNN), and evaluated it on three publicly available benchmark datasets (i.e., ISIC 2020, HAM10000, and DermIS). For the skin cancer diagnosis, the classification performance of the proposed DSCC_Net model is compared with six baseline deep networks, including ResNet-152, Vgg-16, Vgg-19, Inception-V3, EfficientNet-B0, and MobileNet. In addition, we used SMOTE Tomek to handle the minority classes issue that exists in this dataset. Existing research combines acupuncture theory with network science and proposes a new paradigm for the study of acupoint selection patterns—a key acupoint mining algorithm based on acupoint networks. However, the basic idea of this study for finding key acupoints is based on binary acupoint synergy relationships, which ignores the higher-order synergy among multiple acupoints and does not truly reflect the implicit patterns of each acupoint among meridian systems. Moreover, the mining results assessment method, which this new paradigm involves, does not have wide applicability and universality. In this paper, with the introduction of higher-order interactions between multiple acupoints, a high-specificity key acupoint mining algorithm based on 3-node motif is proposed in the acupoint-disease network (ADN). In response to the narrow applicability of the new research paradigm involving the evaluation of algorithms' measures, new and widely applicable and universal evaluation criteria are introduced in terms of resolution, network loss, and accuracy, respectively. Based on the principles of acupoint selection involved in acupuncture clinics in Chinese medicine, the acupoints involved in the data were divided into a total of 19 regions according to their distribution characteristics. From these 19 regions, we selected the key acupoints that have a large impact on the global network. Finally, we compared this algorithm with five other acupoint importance assessment algorithms in terms of resolution, network loss, and accuracy, respectively. The comprehensive results show that the algorithm identifies key acupoints with an accuracy of 63%, which is 14% to 21% higher than other existing methods. The key acupoints identified by the algorithm have a significant disruptive effect on the connectivity of the network, indicating that the key acupoints are at the core of the acupoint-disease network topology. They have a significant propagation influence on other acupoints, which means that the key acupoints have high-synergistic cooperation with other acupoints. Meanwhile, the stability and specificity of the algorithm ensure the reliability of the key acupoints. We believe that the key acupoints identified by the algorithm can be used as core acupoints from the perspective of network topology and high synergy of other acupoints, respectively, and help researchers explore targeted and high-impact combinations of acupoints to optimize existing acupuncture prescriptions under condition constraints. Deep neural networks (DNNs) have achieved outstanding results in domains such as image processing, computer vision, natural language processing and bioinformatics. In recent years, many methods have been proposed that can provide a visual explanation of decision made by such classifiers. Saliency maps are probably the most popular. However, it is still unclear how to properly interpret saliency maps for a given image and which techniques perform most accurately. This paper presents a methodology to practically evaluate the real effectiveness of saliency map generation methods. We used three state-of-the-art network architectures along with specially prepared benchmark datasets, and we proposed a novel metric to provide a quantitative comparison of the methods. Many current medical image segmentation methods utilize convolutional neural networks (CNNs), with some extended U-Net-based networks relying on deep feature representations to achieve satisfactory results. However, due to the limited receptive fields of convolutional architectures, they are unable to explicitly model the varying range dependencies present in medical images. Recently, advancements in large kernel convolution have allowed for the extraction of a wider range of low frequency information, making this task more achievable. In this paper, we propose TBUnet for solving the problem of difficult to accurately segment lesions with heterogeneous structures and fuzzy borders, such as melanoma, colon polyps and breast cancer. The TBUnet is a pure convolutional network with three branches for extracting high frequency information, low frequency information, and boundary information, respectively. It is capable of extracting features in various areas. To fuse the feature maps from the three branches, TBUnet presents the FL (fusion layer) module, which is based on threshold and logical operation. We design the FE (feature enhancement) module on the skip-connection to emphasize the fine-grained features. In addition, our method varies the number of input channels in different branches at each stage of the network, so that the relationship between low and high frequency features can be learned. TBUnet yields 91.08 DSC on ISIC-2018 for melanoma segmentation, and achieves better performance than state-of-the-art medical image segmentation methods. Furthermore, experimental results with 82.48 DSC and 89.04 DSC obtained on the BUSI dataset and the Kvasir-SEG dataset show that TBUnet outperforms the advanced segmentation methods. The implemented system is smart enough to initiate and maintain two types of communication; the first type includes communication between multiple individuals on the remote location and the second type includes communication with the individual present in the physical listening range. The system was investigated in terms of its algorithmic parameters and found 97% to 100% in terms of training and testing accuracy with negligible mean squared error. Vocal-Friend analysed results based on audio-bot simulative conditions provide more than 91% accuracy, interaction rate and fallback rate. On the basis of the satisfaction analysis, above average results were noticed. In terms of technical implementations and satisfaction analysis, results found acceptable with above average score. Deep neural networks (DNNs) have achieved outstanding results in domains such as image processing, computer vision, natural language processing and bioinformatics. In recent years, many methods have been proposed that can provide a visual explanation of decision made by such classifiers. Saliency maps are probably the most popular. However, it is still unclear how to properly interpret saliency maps for a given image and which techniques perform most accurately. Adaptive algorithms are widely used in deep learning because of their fast convergence. Among them, Adam is the most widely used algorithm. However, studies have shown that Adam's generalization ability is weak. AdaX is a variant of Adam, which introduces a novel second-order momentum, modifies the second-order moment of Adam, and has good generalization ability. However, these algorithms may fail to converge due to instability and extreme learning rates during training. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive and momental bound algorithm, called AdaXod, which characterizes of exponentially averaging the learning rate and is particularly useful for training deep neural networks. By setting an adaptively limited learning rate in the AdaX algorithm, the resultant AdaXod can effectively eliminate the problem of excessive learning rate in the later stage of neural networks training and thus results in stable training. We conduct extensive experiments on different datasets and verify the advantages of the AdaXod algorithm by comparing with other advanced adaptive optimization algorithms. We also aimed to determine whether the application of AI-based techniques can lead to improved diagnostic accuracy of melanoma. Methods: A systematic search was conducted via the Medline/PubMed, Cochrane, and Embase databases for eligible publications between 2018 and 2022. Screening methods adhered to the 2020 version of the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. Included studies utilized AI-based algorithms for melanoma detection and directly addressed the review objectives. Results: We retrieved 40 papers amongst the three databases. All studies directly comparing the performance of AI-based techniques with dermatologists reported the superior or equivalent performance of AI-based techniques in improving the detection of melanoma. In studies directly comparing algorithm performance on dermoscopy images to dermatologists, AI-based algorithms achieved a higher ROC (>80%) in the detection of melanoma. In these comparative studies using dermoscopic images, the mean algorithm sensitivity was 83.01% and the mean algorithm specificity was 85.58%. Studies evaluating machine learning in conjunction with OCT boasted accuracy of 95%, while studies evaluating RCM reported a mean accuracy rate of 82.72%. Conclusions: Our results demonstrate the robust potential of AI-based techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes through the early identification of melanoma. Further studies are needed to assess the generalizability of these AI-based techniques across different populations and skin types, improve standardization in image processing, and further compare the performance of AI-based techniques with board-certified dermatologists to evaluate clinical applicability. In the field of gas turbine (GT) monitoring and diagnostics, GT trip is of great concern for manufactures and users. In fact, due to the number of issues that may cause a trip, its occurrence is not infrequent, and its prediction is a quite unexplored field of research. This is demonstrated by the fact that, despite its relevance, a comprehensive study on the reliability of predicting GT trip has not been proposed yet. To fill this gap, this paper investigates the fusion of five data-driven base models by means of voting and stacking, in order to improve prediction accuracy and robustness. The five benchmark supervised machine learning and deep learning classifiers are k-nearest neighbors, support vector machine (SVM), Naïve Bayes (NB), decision trees (DTs), and long short-term memory (LSTM) neural networks. While voting just averages the predictions of base models, without providing additional pieces of information, stacking is a technique used to aggregate heterogeneous models by training an additional machine learning model (namely, stacked ensemble model) on the predictions of the base models. The analyses carried out in this paper employ filed observations of both safe operation and trip events, derived from a large fleet of industrial Siemens GTs in operation. The results demonstrate that the stacked model provides higher accuracy than base models and also outperforms voting by proving more effective, especially when the reliability of the prediction of base models is poor. It was concluded that machine learning techniques can standardise the dosimetry plan structures, taking into consideration the integration of multiple modalities representing each structure during the training process. In progressing the use of big data in health systems, standardised nomenclature is required to enable data pooling and analyses. In many radiotherapy planning systems and their data archives, target volumes (TV) and organ-at-risk (OAR) structure nomenclature has not been standardised. Machine learning (ML) has been utilised to standardise volumes nomenclature in retrospective datasets. However, only subsets of the structures have been targeted. Within this paper, we proposed a new approach for standardising all the structures nomenclature by using multi-modal artificial neural networks. A cohort consisting of 1613 breast cancer patients treated with radiotherapy was identified from Liverpool & Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centres, NSW, Australia. Four types of volume characteristics were generated to represent each target and OAR volume: textual features, geometric features, dosimetry features, and imaging data. Five datasets were created from the original cohort, the first four represented different subsets of volumes and the last one represented the whole list of volumes. For each dataset, 15 sets of combinations of features were generated to investigate the effect of using different characteristics on the standardisation performance. The best model reported 99.416% classification accuracy over the hold-out sample when used to standardise all the nomenclatures in a breast cancer radiotherapy plan into 21 classes. Our results showed that ML based automation methods can be used for standardising naming conventions in a radiotherapy plan taking into consideration the inclusion of multiple modalities to better represent each volume. Federated learning (FL), a relatively new area of research in medical image analysis, enables collaborative learning of a federated deep learning model without sharing the data of participating clients. In this paper, we propose FedDropoutAvg, a new federated learning approach for detection of tumor in images of colon tissue slides. The proposed method leverages the power of dropout, a commonly employed scheme to avoid overfitting in neural networks, in both client selection and federated averaging processes. We examine FedDropoutAvg against other FL benchmark algorithms for two different image classification tasks using a publicly available multi-site histopathology image dataset. We train and test the proposed model on a large dataset consisting of 1.2 million image tiles from 21 different sites. For testing the generalization of all models, we select held-out test sets from sites that were not used during training. We show that the proposed approach outperforms other FL methods and reduces the performance gap (to less than 3% in terms of AUC on independent test sites) between FL and a central deep learning model that requires all data to be shared for centralized training, demonstrating the potential of the proposed FedDropoutAvg model to be more generalizable than other state-of-the-art federated models. Because of its long running time, complex working environment, and for other reasons, a gear is prone to failure, and early failure is difficult to detect by direct observation; therefore, fault diagnosis of gears is very necessary. Neural network algorithms have been widely used to realize gear fault diagnosis, but the structure of the neural network model is complicated, the training time is long and the model is not easy to converge. To solve the above problems and combine the advantages of the ResNeXt50 model in the extraction of image features, this paper proposes a gearbox fault detection method that integrates the convolutional block attention module (CBAM). Firstly, the CBAM is embedded in the ResNeXt50 network to enhance the extraction of image channels and spatial features. Secondly, the different time–frequency analysis method was compared and analyzed, and the method with the better effect was selected to convert the one-dimensional vibration signal in the open data set of the gearbox into a two-dimensional image, eliminating the influence of the redundant background noise, and took it as the input of the model for training. Finally, the accuracy and the average training time of the model were obtained by entering the test set into the model, and the results were compared with four other classical convolutional neural network models. The results show that the proposed method performs well both in fault identification accuracy and average training time under two working conditions, and it also provides some references for existing gear failure diagnosis research. In this paper, we have designed an artificial neural network architecture to produce metric field of planar BTZ and quintessence black holes applying a data-driven approach andleveraging holography principle (according to AdS/DL (Anti de Sitter/Deep Learning) correspondence given by [1]). Data has been collected by choosing minimally coupled massive scalar field with quantum fluctuations and we try to process two emergent and ground-truth metrics versus the holographic parameter which plays the role of depth of the neural network. Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) are widely regarded as the most effective learning tool for dealing with large datasets, and they have been successfully used in thousands of applications in a variety of fields. Based on these large datasets, they are trained to learn the relationships between various variables. The adaptive moment estimation (Adam) algorithm, a highly efficient adaptive optimization algorithm, is widely used as a learning algorithm in various fields for training DNN models. However, it needs to improve its generalization performance, especially when training with large-scale datasets. Therefore, in this paper, we propose HN Adam, a modified version of the Adam Algorithm, to improve its accuracy and convergence speed. The HN_Adam algorithm is modified by automatically adjusting the step size of the parameter updates over the training epochs. This automatic adjustment is based on the norm value of the parameter update formula according to the gradient values obtained during the training epochs. Furthermore, a hybrid mechanism was created by combining the standard Adam algorithm and the AMSGrad algorithm. As a result of these changes, the HN_Adam algorithm, like the stochastic gradient descent (SGD) algorithm, has good generalization performance and achieves fast convergence like other adaptive algorithms. To test the proposed HN_Adam algorithm performance, it is evaluated to train a deep convolutional neural network (CNN) model that classifies images using two different standard datasets: MNIST and CIFAR-10. The algorithm results are compared to the basic Adam algorithm and the SGD algorithm, in addition to other five recent SGD adaptive algorithms. In most comparisons, the HN Adam algorithm outperforms the compared algorithms in terms of accuracy and convergence speed. AdaBelief is the most competitive of the compared algorithms. In terms of testing accuracy and convergence speed (represented by the consumed training time), the HN-Adam algorithm outperforms the AdaBelief algorithm by an improvement of 1.0% and 0.29% for the MNIST dataset, and 0.93% and 1.68% for the CIFAR-10 dataset, respectively. Blade icing seriously affects wind turbines' aerodynamic performance and output power. Timely and accurately predicting blade icing status is crucial to improving the economy and safety of wind farms. However, existing blade icing prediction methods cannot effectively solve the problems of unbalanced icing/non-icing data and low prediction accuracy. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a wind turbine blade icing prediction method based on the focal loss function and CNN-Attention-GRU. First, the recursive feature elimination method combined with the physical mechanism of icing is used to extract features highly correlated with blade icing, and a new feature subset is formed through a sliding window algorithm. Then, the focal loss function is utilized to assign more weight to the ice samples with a lower proportion, addressing the significant class imbalance between the ice and non-ice categories. Finally, based on the CNN-Attention-GRU algorithm, a blade icing prediction model is established using continuous 24-h historical data as the input and the icing status of the next 24 h as the output. The model is compared with advanced neural network models. The results show that the proposed method improves the prediction accuracy and F1 score by an average of 6.41% and 4.27%, respectively, demonstrating the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method. Dedicated equipment, which is widely used in many different types of vehicles, is the core system that determines the combat capability of special vehicles. Therefore, assuring the normal operation of dedicated equipment is crucial. With the increase in battlefield complexity, the demand for equipment functions is increasing, and the complexity of dedicated equipment is also increasing. To solve the problem of fault diagnosis of dedicated equipment, a fault diagnosis algorithm based on CNN-LSTM was proposed in this paper. CNN and LSTM are used in the model adopted by the algorithm to extract spatial and temporal features from the data. CBAM is used to enhance the model's accuracy in identifying faults for dedicated equipment. Data on dedicated equipment faults were obtained from a hardware-in-loop simulation platform to verify the model. Glioma is the most common type of tumor in humans originating in the brain. According to the World Health Organization, gliomas can be graded on a four-stage scale, ranging from the most benign to the most malignant. The grading of these tumors from image information is a far from trivial task for radiologists and one in which they could be assisted by machine-learning-based decision support. However, the machine learning analytical pipeline is also fraught with perils stemming from different sources, such as inadvertent data leakage, adequacy of 2D image sampling, or classifier assessment biases. In this paper, we analyze a glioma database sourced from multiple datasets using a simple classifier, aiming to obtain a reliable tumor grading and, on the way, we provide a few guidelines to ensure such reliability. Our results reveal that by focusing on the tumor region of interest and using data augmentation techniques we significantly enhanced the accuracy and confidence in tumor classifications. Evaluation on an independent test set resulted in an AUC-ROC of 0.932 in the discrimination of low-grade gliomas from high-grade gliomas, and an AUC-ROC of 0.893 in the classification of grades 2, 3, and 4. Small samples are prone to overfitting in the neural network training process. This paper proposes an optimization approach based on L2 and dropout regularization called a hybrid improved neural network algorithm to overcome this issue. The proposed model was evaluated based on the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology (MNIST, grayscale-28 × 28 × 1) and Canadian Institute for Advanced Research 10 (CIFAR10, RGB - 32 × 32 × 3) as the training data sets and data applied to the LeNet-5 and Autoencoder neural network architectures. The evaluation is conducted based on cross-validation; the result of the model prediction is used as the final measure to evaluate the quality of the model. The results show that the proposed hybrid algorithm can perform more effectively, avoid overfitting, improve the accuracy of network model prediction in classification tasks, and reduce the reconstruction error in the unsupervised domain. In addition, employing the proposed algorithm without increasing the time complexity can reduce the effect of noisy data and bias and improve the training time of neural network models. Quantitative and qualitative experimental results show that the accuracy of using the proposed algorithm in this paper with the MNIST test set has an improvement of 2.3% and 0.9% compared to L2 regularization and dropout regularization, respectively, and based on the CIFAR10 data set, the accuracy improvement of 0.92% compared with L2 regularization and 1.31% concerning dropout regularization. The reconstruction error of using the proposed algorithm in this paper with the MNIST data set has an improvement of 0.00174 and 0.00398 compared to L2 regularization and dropout regularization, respectively, and based on the CIFAR10 data set, the accuracy improvement of 0.00078 compared with L2 regularization and 0.00174 concerning dropout regularization. Human facial analysis (HFA) has recently become an attractive topic for computer vision research due to technological progress and mobile applications. HFA explores several issues as gender recognition (GR), facial expression, age, and race recognition for automatically understanding social life. This study explores HFA from the angle of recognizing a person's gender from their face. Several hard challenges are provoked, such as illumination, occlusion, facial emotions, quality, and angle of capture by cameras, making gender recognition more difficult for machines. The Archimedes optimization algorithm (AOA) was recently designed as a metaheuristic-based population optimization method, inspired by the Archimedes theory's physical notion. Compared to other swarm algorithms in the realm of optimization, this method promotes a good balance between exploration and exploitation. The convergence area is increased By incorporating extra data into the solution, such as volume and density. Because of the preceding benefits of AOA and the fact that it has not been used to choose the best area of the face, we propose utilizing a wrapper feature selection technique, which is a real motivation in the field of computer vision and machine learning. The paper's primary purpose is to automatically determine the optimal face area using AOA to recognize the gender of a human person categorized by two classes (Men and women). In this paper, the facial image is divided into several subregions (blocks), where each area provides a vector of characteristics using one method from handcrafted techniques as the local binary pattern (LBP), histogram-oriented gradient (HOG), or gray-level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM). Two experiments assess the proposed method (AOA): The first employs two benchmarking datasets: the Georgia Tech Face dataset (GT) and the Brazilian FEI dataset. The more frequent occurrence of network security incidents has an impact on network security. Through the research on network security situational awareness, this paper constructs a multilevel network security situation evaluation index system from various aspects and uses the Elman neural network optimized by the genetic algorithm to evaluate network security situation. Aiming at the disadvantage of subjective dependence in the traditional assignment method of basic probability assignment function, Elman neural network is used to obtain the basic probability assignment function to increase its objectivity, and it is optimized with the PSD algorithm. In addition, the neural network is further improved by the genetic algorithm. In the traditional D-S evidence theory, an evidence correction step is added to optimize the situation that the final judgment result is incorrect due to evidence conflict. Finally, the fusion rules of the D-S evidence theory are used to fuse the support degrees of the four first-level situations to different security levels to obtain the final network security situation assessment result. With the in-depth research on resource development and industrial transformation, the research on artificial neural network (ANN) in cultural industry transformation is gradually carried out, and its performance advantages are of great significance to solve the problem of value evaluation. This paper aims to study the application of the value assessment method based on the BP neural network (BPNN) in the development of cultural heritage resources and industrial transformation. Through the analysis and research of BPNN and cultural heritage resource development and industrial transformation, it can be applied to the construction of resource value assessment methods to solve the problem of improving the value level of cultural heritage resource development and industry. This paper analyzes BPNN, cultural heritage, and value evaluation methods, conducts experimental analysis on the performance of the algorithm, and uses related theoretical formulas to explain. The results show that the evaluation method has passed the random consistency test, and the results are valid. The obtained index popularity weight value is 0.134, the economic benefit weight value is 0.093, and the resource correlation degree weight value is 0.074, which can be used as the key criteria for resource value evaluation. It is very important for power grid development research and related technical improvement to obtain the disaster situation of fine-scale distribution network, such as the transportation condition evaluation of distribution network and the wind waterlogging disaster prediction of distribution network. Among them, the wind waterlogging disaster prediction of distribution network is the main one, and the prediction of its disaster degree often determines whether the distribution network can be prevented before and rescued after the disaster. Therefore, in view of the above problems, combined with the actual transmission situation of the distribution network, after collecting the measured disaster data of the distribution network in relevant areas, combined with the multi-source data fusion technology and neural network modeling technology, this paper analyzes the disaster degree indicators of different distribution networks and constructs the relevant fuzzy matrix through the fuzzy theory to evaluate the disaster degree, which is verified by the measured data. This distribution network disaster loss prediction model can effectively implement the disaster loss prediction of distribution network and compare its prediction results with the other two different common models. The comparison results show that the prediction accuracy of the multi-source data fusion prediction model constructed in this paper is more than 0.95 compared with the other two models, while the prediction accuracy of the other two models is not more than 0.9, which proves that the model constructed in this paper has smaller errors. With the development of deep learning theory and the decrease of the cost of acquiring massive data, the image semantic segmentation algorithm based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) is gradually replacing the conventional segmentation algorithm by its high accuracy segmentation performance. By increasing the amount of training data and stacking more convolutional layers to form Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (DCNNs), a neural network model with higher segmentation accuracy can be obtained, but it faces the problems of serious memory consumption and long latency. For some special application scenarios, such as augmented reality and mobile interaction, real-time processing cannot be performed. To improve the speed of semantic segmentation while obtaining the most accurate segmentation results as possible, this paper proposes a semantic segmentation algorithm based on lightweight convolutional neural networks. Taking the computational complexity and segmentation accuracy into account, the algorithm starts from the perspective of extracting high-level semantic features and introduces a position-attention mechanism with richer contextual information to model the relationship between different pixels, avoiding the convolutional local perceptual field to be too small. To recover clearer target boundaries, a channel attention mechanism is introduced in the decoding part of the model to mine more useful feature channel information and effectively improve the fusion of low-level features with high-level features. By verifying the effectiveness of the above model on a publicly available dataset and comparing it with the more popular semantic segmentation methods, the model proposed in this paper has higher semantic segmentation accuracy and reflects certain advantages in objective evaluation. Background: Deficits in the ability to use language in social contexts, including storytelling skills, are observed across the autism spectrum. Development in machine‐learning approaches may contribute to clinical psychology and psychiatry, given its potential to support decisions concerning the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions and disorders. Aims: To evaluate the usefulness of deep neural networks for detecting autism spectrum disorder (ASD) from textual utterances, specifically from narrations produced by individuals with ASD. Methods & Procedures: We examined two text encoders: Embeddings from Language Models (ELMo) and Universal Sentence Encoder (USE), and three classification algorithms: XGBoost, support vector machines, and dense neural network layer. We aimed to classify 25 participants with ASD and 25 participants with typical development (TD) based on their narrations produced during the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS‐2) picture book task. The results of computational approaches were compared with the results of standardized testing and classifications made by two psychiatrists (raters). The raters were asked to read utterances produced by a participant (without an examiner's statements and additional information) and assign a participant to one of the two groups: ASD or with typical development (TD). Outcomes & Results: The computer‐based models had higher sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive values and negative predictive values than the raters, and lower than the two standardized instruments: ADOS‐2 and Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ). Conclusions & Implications: Our findings lay the groundwork for future studies involving deep neural network‐based text representation models as tools for augmenting the ASD diagnosis or screening. In recent years, with the acceleration of urbanization and the implementation of compulsory education, the pressure on students' study and life has increased, and the phenomenon of psychological and behavioral problems has become increasingly prominent. Effective expression classification can assist psychology researchers to study psychology and other disciplines and analyze children's psychological activities and mental states by classifying expressions, thereby reducing the occurrence of psychological behavior problems. Most of the current mainstream methods focus on the exploration of text explicit features and the optimization of representation models, and few works pay attention to deeper language expressions. Metaphors, as language expressions often used in daily life, are closely related to an individual's emotion, cognition, and psychological state. This paper studies children's smiling face recognition based on deep neural network. In order to obtain a better identification effect of mental health problems of children, this paper attempts to use multisource data, including consumption data, access control data, network logs, and grade data, and proposes a multisource data-based mental health problem identification algorithm. The main research focus is feature extraction, trying to use one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1D-CNN) to mine students' online patterns from online behavior sequences, calculate abnormal scores based on students' consumption data in the cafeteria, and describe the dietary differences among students. At the same time, this paper uses the students' psychological state data provided by the psychological center as a label to improve the deficiencies caused by the questionnaire. This paper uses the training set to train five common classification algorithms, evaluates them through the validation set, and selects the best classifier as our algorithm and uses it to identify students with mental health problems in the test set. This paper first gave a general introduction to edge computing and neural network algorithm and then analyzed the current situation of ideological and political courses in a certain school. Then, edge computing and neural network algorithm were introduced into the analysis of an important course teaching method that used all courses as a carrier to cultivate students' comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physique, and beauty. Through analysis and comparison, the experimental results showed that 56.47% of the students believed that the impact of personal morality on the future development of college students was the first in the relationship between "virtue" and "talent." In recent years, people's living standards are getting higher and higher, and life pressure is also increasing, and there are also many problems in eating habits. This is also the direct cause of colon cancer. The aim of this paper was to investigate whether anesthetic drugs could positively affect the proliferation and apoptosis of colon cancer cells. In this paper, the significance of anesthetic drugs is proposed, and an artificial neural network algorithm based on artificial intelligence is proposed. It is well known that artificial neural networks play an important role in medicine. The experimental results of this paper show that the incidence of colon cancer in 2020 will be in the range of 5%-35%, and the incidence of colon cancer in 2021 will be in the range of 7%-30%. While colon cancer rates in 2021 do not appear to be as high as colon cancer rates in 2020, they are generally much higher than colon cancer rates in 2020. In this paper, we construct a model of convolutional neural network speech emotion algorithm, analyze the classroom identified by the neural network with a certain degree of confidence together with the school used in the dataset, find the characteristics and rules of teachers' control of classroom emotion nowadays using big data, find the parts of classroom emotion, and design a classroom emotion recognition model based on convolutional neural network speech emotion algorithm according to these characteristics. This paper will investigate the factors and patterns of teachers' emotional control in the classroom. In this paper, the existing neural network is adapted and improved, and some preprocessing is performed on the current dataset to train the network. The network used in this paper is a combination of convolutional neural network (CNN) and recurrent neural network (RNN), which takes advantage of both CNN for feature extraction and RNN for memory capability in the sequence model. This network has a good effect on both object labeling and speech recognition. For the problem of extracting emotion features of whole-sentence speech, we propose an attention mechanism-based emotion recognition algorithm for variable-length speech and design a spatiotemporal attention module for the speech emotion algorithm and a convolutional channel attention module for the CNN network to reduce the contribution of the spatiotemporal data of the speech emotion algorithm and the unimportant parts of the CNN convolutional channel feature data in the subsequent recognition by the attention mechanism.
