How do author perceptions match up to the outcomes of the peer-review process and perceptions of others? In a top-tier computer science conference (NeurIPS 2021) with more than 23,000 submitting authors and 9,000 submitted papers, we surveyed the authors on three questions: (i) their predicted probability of acceptance for each of their papers, (ii) their perceived ranking of their own papers based on scientific contribution, and (iii) the change in their perception about their own papers after seeing the reviews. The salient results are: (1) Authors had roughly a three-fold overestimate of the acceptance probability of their papers: The median prediction was 70% for an approximately 25% acceptance rate. (2) Female authors exhibited a marginally higher (statistically significant) miscalibration than male authors; predictions of authors invited to serve as meta-reviewers or reviewers were similarly calibrated, but better than authors who were not invited to review. (3) Authors' relative ranking of scientific contribution of two submissions they made generally agreed with their predicted acceptance probabilities (93% agreement), but there was a notable 7% responses where authors predicted a worse outcome for their better paper. (4) The author-provided rankings disagreed with the peer-review decisions about a third of the time; when co-authors ranked their jointly authored papers, co-authors disagreed at a similar rate—about a third of the time. (5) At least 30% of respondents of both accepted and rejected papers said that their perception of their own paper improved after the review process. h-index takes no care of co-authorship; neither the number of co-authors nor their contributions. Many indices were proposed to take the effect of multiple co-authorship papers. The current Mo-index is based on the idea of distributing the citations of a paper between authors as a weighted value of the h-index of each author. IPPTA (Indian Pulp and Paper Technical Association) Journal is a well-known journal in the Indian pulp and paper fraternity with a publishing history of fifty-five years. This study presents a bibliometric overview of articles published in the IPPTA Journal during 2005-2019. This is the first bibliometric study of a journal completely dedicated to pulp and paper research. The bibliometric analysis included analysis of article distribution, subject classification, authorship pattern, author productivity and collaboration, geographical distribution, references, keywords, prominent institutions, and citations. It also accounts for Lotka's law of scientific productivity, relative growth rate, doubling time, frequently contributing authors and top-cited articles. It was found that during this period 830 articles were published in IPPTA Journal. The average number of articles published per year in the journal is ~56. A total of 2361 authors from 27 countries and 339 unique institutes were identified in these articles. These articles contained 1009 unique keywords, used 5968 references, and received 561 citations. 74.10% of articles were contributed by joint authors. Out of the total 5968 references cited in this journal during the period of study, 48.51% were sourced from journal articles. The overall degree of collaboration, modified collaboration coefficient, average author per article, productivity per article, and collaboration index were calculated to be 0.7410, 0.5030, 2.8446, 0.3515, and 3.8390, respectively. Objective: This paper aims to find out the factors that are likely to increase the citation impact of Turkey-addressed international papers. Method: For this purpose, we downloaded bibliographic records of some 226,000 TR-addressed papers that were published between 2006 and 2015, there from selected a sample (2%) using stratified probabilistic sampling technique, and obtained relevant data from various sources such as the number of citations and coauthors, journal impact factors (JIF) and journal quartiles pertaining to each paper in the sample. We then identified 19 independent variables on article, journal, cooperation, support and access levels and analyzed the data using the hurdle model. Findings: The strongest factors increasing the number of citations of TR-addressed papers are five-year JIFs and journal quartiles (Q1) in which TR-addressed papers appeared and the number of references in papers' reference lists. These factors also reduce the number of papers with zero citations. Papers published in cooperation with other countries collect higher numbers of citations. Factors such as the subjects of papers, whether papers received monetary support or not, and methods by which papers can be accessed (open or closed access) have no impact on the number of citations received. Implications: Findings indicate that academic promotion and support policies encouraging publishing in high impact journals while forestalling publishing in low impact journals should be developed in order to increase the scientific impact of TR-addressed papers. Originality: This is the first study using hurdle model to investigate the direct impact of several article, journal, collaboration, monetary support and access level explanatory variables on the number of citations that TR-addressed papers receive. By examining publication data for seven top business and economics journals over the period 1980–2015, we find that the proportion of solo papers declined while papers with more than three authors increased, on average. We also find positive correlation between the proportion of solo papers and a journal's acceptance rate. The rise in multi-authored papers can be explained as a response to the benefits conferred by research collaboration and the publish-or-perish culture that has led to tough competition for limited space in reputed journals. Unlike mammals, adult zebrafish are capable of regenerating their hearts without scarring after injury -- a process that has great therapeutic potential. The paper contains a survey of several results from the author's papers and joint papers by the author and Zakharyan, both on the zero existence and approximation for single-valued and multivalued (α, β)-search functionals, and also on the zero existence preservation for parametric family of such functionals, under the parameter changing. Some corollaries of these results in the fixed point and coincidence theory of single-valued and multivalued mappings of metric spaces are also given. This article introduces a team-based model of researchers in a specialty and investigates the manifestation of such teams in a specialty's literature. The proposed qualitative behavioral model, with its mathematical expression as a growth model, is significant because it simultaneously describes the two phenomena of collaboration and author productivity (Lotka's law) in a specialty. The model is nested: A team process models the creation of research teams and the success-breeds-success process of their production of articles, while at a lower level the productivity of authors within teams is also modeled as a success-breeds-success process. Interteam collaboration (weak ties) is modeled as random events. This simple growth model is shown to faithfully mimic six network metrics of bipartite article-author networks. The model is demonstrated on three example article collections from specialties that have a wide range of degree of collaboration: (a) a distance education collection with low collaboration degree, (b) a complex networks collection with typical collaboration degree, and (c) an atrial ablation collection with heavy collaboration degree. The publication output of Library and Information Science (LIS) faculty teaching health courses has not been analyzed. The purpose of this bibliometric analysis was to examine publication patterns of full-time LIS faculty that teach health-related courses for library science programs in the United States and Canada. Full-time LIS faculty teaching health-related courses in American Library Association (ALA)--accredited programs were identified by searching course listings, faculty profiles, and syllabi from ALA-accredited school websites and contacting deans and directors of schools. The 29 LIS faculty that were identified and met the inclusion criteria were contacted via email in September 2021 and invited to voluntarily share their curricula vitae (CVs) for analysis. A total of 16 respondents provided their CVs, representing a 55% response rate. This was supplemented by locating five more CVs publicly available online. The final sample of LIS faculty was 21, and the bibliometrics analysis was based on a total of 716 publications published from 2011 to 2021 and reported on the CVs from this group of scholars. This analysis resulted in the identification of several patterns. Journal articles were the most common publication type, followed by conference proceedings. Joint authorship patterns were more common than solo authors, highlighting the collaborative nature of research. While faculty published in a range of LIS and interdisciplinary journals, highly cited papers appeared in health specialty journals. This study represents the first step in examining the research output for this under-explored community of LIS scholars. Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) is a globally recognised publication outlet for the field of Computer Science, including in South Africa. In this study, spanning from 1973 to 2022, we investigated the research participation of South African based authors in LNCS. The publication output and citation impact of these authors were compared to the global Computer Science and LNCS output. The authorship patterns and collaborative behaviour of South African LNCS papers were explored, and a keyword or topic analysis also conducted. Of the total of 518 662 LNCS papers published globally between 1973 and 2022, South African based researchers contributed 1150 papers (0.22%). The LNCS papers from South Africa exhibit a strong collaborative publication culture, with 1043 (91%) co-authored and 107 (9%) singleauthored works. Local LNCS researchers prefer institutional collaboration (43%), followed by international (37%) and national collaboration (11%). Europe emerged as the most significant collaboration partner for LNCS researchers in South Africa. Of the 1150 papers, 836 (73%) had received citations, while 314 (27%) had not. On average, papers published by South African based authors received 6.05 citations, compared to the global LNCS average of 9.49 citations per paper. A keyword analysis revealed that the majority of papers by South African authors focus on artificial intelligence. The results indicate that, although LNCS serves as a reputable dissemination platform for Computer Science research output both globally and locally, South African authors should consider publishing more journal articles to build and improve their researcher profiles. How do a university leader's publication patterns change after appointment? Until now, few studies have examined whether administrative burden has a significant effect on a leader's publication patterns. This study seeks to evaluate changes in individual publication patterns in relation to academic productivity and increased administrative load. The main expectation is that rectors opt for collaboration instead of publishing single‐authored papers. The analysis of publication data on Russian rectors demonstrates that: (1) a rector's academic productivity is significantly positively related to the share of single‐authored papers and papers in inter‐organizational co‐authorship; (2) every additional year in office adds to the share of co‐authored papers and impedes a yearly increase in article numbers; and (3) previously high individual productivity has a mitigating effect on an increasing share of institutionally co‐authored papers. This article is a longitudinal bibliometric study of articles from six major universities published over 130 years of the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS). The Scopus API (Application Programming Interface) was used to download bibliographic metadata in multiple tables to create a relational database for automated data extraction and manipulation scripts to analyze publishing and citation indicators. The study examined several correlations between average number of institutional, non-institutional, single-and multiple- authored, and international authors per paper and citation counts; open access trends; and page count indicators. This study analyzed the trend in authorship patterns and collaborative research in the field of gravity with a sample of 122,133 research papers indexed in the Web of Science database. The study reveals that although multiple authorship is dominant, solo research also exists. The proportion of single-authored papers has shown a declining trend during the period 2000-2019. Many want to know what bitcoin is and how it works. But bitcoin is as complex as it is controversial, and relatively few have the technical background to understand it. In this paper, I offer an accessible on-ramp for understanding bitcoin in the form of a model. My model reveals both what bitcoin is and how it works. More specifically, it reveals that bitcoin is a fictional substance in a massively coauthored story on a network that automates and distributes jobs normally entrusted to centralized publishing institutions. Purpose: This paper presents a follow-on study that quantifies geolingual markers and their apparent connection with authorship collaboration patterns in canonical Digital Humanities (DH) journals. In particular, it seeks to detect patterns in authors' countries of work and languages in co-authorship networks. Design/methodology/approach: Through an in-depth co-authorship network analysis, this study analysed bibliometric data from three canonical DH journals over a range of 52 years (1966–2017). The results are presented as visualised networks with centrality calculations. Findings: The results suggest that while DH scholars may not collaborate as frequently as those in other disciplines, when they do so their collaborations tend to be more international than in many Science and Engineering, and Social Sciences disciplines. DH authors in some countries (e.g. Spain, Finland, Australia, Canada, and the UK) have the highest international co-author rates, while others have high national co-author rates but low international rates (e.g. Japan, the USA, and France). Originality/value: This study is the first DH co-authorship network study that explores the apparent connection between language and collaboration patterns in DH. In this paper, I analyse the construction of the city as an ideological space in All's Well that Ends Well which, I argue, generates the play's genre ambiguity. Drawing on recent scholarly work that has identified Thomas Middleton as co-author of the play, I investigate how the interplay between Middleton and Shakespeare's artistic temperaments concretizes in the mental space of the city, which infuses the entire play. In my research, I propose a further attribution to Middleton and show that Middleton's contribution leads to the formation of an imbalanced landscape, situated between crisis and change, between comedy and tragedy. In this "paper," we share our process of exploring the possibilities for the emergence of new ways of knowing-thinking-doing response-able collaboration. In an effort to come "together-apart" as author-collaborators, working from our different positionings and locations in the world, we shared text and images of the various ways the ideas from individual papers (nodal points) and our diffractive processes were moving (with) us. Sharing these creative respondings, new relations co-emerged through the texts-images and the various diffractive patterns that traveled widely through screens, devices, bodies, from New Zealand and Australia, to Iran, London, Finland, Canada, and the West and East Coasts of the United States. Paying attention to the fine details, difference emerged, as did new forms of more-than-human connection. The visual and written respondings were then cut together-apart (literally, metaphorically and methodologically) to represent the multiplicities of the diffractive process, bodies, hauntings, absences and excess, and the tensions and affective vulnerabilities that co-emerged through our process. We present four visual montages of the diffractive patterns that surfaced from the individual papers as nodal points and our creative collaborative processes of becoming-with the special issue. We conclude with some final thoughts on the process of diffracting the special issue, inviting the reader to join us in imagining new lines of flight, alternative possibilities for becoming a more response-able, more-than-human academic community. The aim of this paper is to consider those literary collaborations created by Jorge Luis Borges and Adolfo Bioy Casares and published under "Honorio Bustos Domecq" name. Computational stylistics or stylometry is the methodology we are using. First, informations about their collaborative works are settled: Honorio Bustos Domecq is an heteronym in two books, but its role is reduced to a fictional author in the other two. Then, stylo is applied to a corpus of undoubted works (both Borges' and Bioy's), and to a doubted corpus (works by Bustos Domecq). It allows us to identify the writing hands and habits. After that, we will compare each one of Bustos Domecq's works with the undoubted corpus, so that collaborative procedures will be enlighted, and we will be able to identify each writer's intervention. Symmetric homology is a natural generalization of cyclic homology, in which symmetric groups play the role of cyclic groups. In the case of associative algebras, the symmetric homology theory was introduced by Z. Fiedorowicz (1991) and was further developed in the work of S. Ault (2010). In this paper, we show that, for algebras defined over a field of characteristic 0, the symmetric homology is naturally equivalent to the (one-dimensional) representation homology introduced by the authors in joint work with G. Khachatryan (2013). Using known results on representation homology, we compute symmetric homology explicitly for basic algebras, such as polynomial algebras and universal enveloping algebras of (DG) Lie algebras. As an application, we prove two conjectures of Ault and Fiedorowicz, including their main conjecture (2007) on topological interpretation of symmetric homology of polynomial algebras. This paper challenges the language of "interdisciplinarity," suggesting "pluralistic collaboration" as a better alternative. Interdisciplinarity, team science, and transdisciplinarity frame academic and problem-focused collaborations narrowly, overemphasizing epistemology, downplaying extra-disciplinary divides and nonacademic collaborators, and either ignoring or psychologizing individual-level phenomena. We first paint a picture of the tensions and divides that exist in pluralistic collaborations, in three dimensions—epistemic, cultural, and normative—using a series of literature reviews to simultaneously map and extend these dimensions. We then introduce and explore a fourth dimension—academic work styles. Individual level considerations of collaboration in the literature generally rely on psychological types. We explore what a more sociologically oriented approach to individual dynamics within collaborations would look like by identifying and exploring four general academic work styles: isolationist, imperialist, pragmatist, and pluralist. We conclude by emphasizing and reflecting on pluralistic collaboration. Pluralism exists along a range of dimensions, and pluralizing or homogenizing different dimensions (pluralizing pluralism) can produce diverse effects on the outcome of interdisciplinary collaboration. While we thus advocate for pluralism along a greater range of dimensions when addressing complex problems, we suggest that over-pluralization can be a problem. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a new way of selecting an initialisation for the k -modes algorithm that allows for a notion of game theoretic fairness that classic initialisations, namely those by Huang and Cao, do not. Our new method utilises the hospital-resident assignment problem to find the set of initial cluster centroids which we compare with two classical initialisation methods for k -modes: the original presented by Huang and the next most popular method of Cao and co-authors. To highlight the merits of our proposed method, two stages of analysis are presented. It is demonstrated that the proposed method is often able to offer computational speed-up of the order of 50 % . In this paper, we explicitly construct nontempered cusp forms on the orthogonal group O(1,5) of signature (1 + , 5 −). Given a definite quaternion algebra B over ℚ , the orthogonal group is attached to the indefinite quadratic space of rank 6 with the anisotropic part defined by the reduced norm of B. Our construction can be viewed as a generalization of the previous work by the first two authors joint with Masanori Muto to the case of any definite quaternion algebras, for which we note that the work just mentioned takes up the case where the discriminant of B is two. Unlike the previous work the method of the construction is to consider the theta lifting from Maass cusp forms to O(1,5), following the formulation by Borcherds. The cuspidal representations generated by our cusp forms are studied in detail. We determine all local components of the cuspidal representations and show that our cusp forms are CAP forms. During the Covid-19 pandemic, considerable scholarly attention has been paid to the proliferation of conspiracy theories and their potential impacts. How and why digital media has facilitated the production, consumption, and distribution of such discourses as 'truth' remains largely neglected in the literature though. This paper explores this process through a transdisciplinary methodology designed to investigate legitimation in digital spaces. Based on a theoretical bridge between Beetham's theory of legitimation and KhosraviNik's principle that visibility-equals-legitimacy, the Multimodal Critical Affect-Discourse Analysis of an audio-visual performance of the 5G conspiracy theory exposes how it has been simultaneously legitimized through authoritative performance and visibility. An interview given by the notorious conspiracy theorist David Icke, in which he associates the pandemic with 5G technology, was used as a case study because it was widely consumed and reproduced as 'truth', leading media companies to take unprecedented action against conspiracy theories. Besides contributing to existing debates on conspiracy theories, this paper offers new directions for the critical analysis of legitimation and power, acknowledging the fluid and diffuse nature of power in network societies and illuminating how meanings, beliefs, and affects have been manipulated by multiple actors to achieve consent and motivate collaborative authorship. Scientific collaboration indicates active teamwork between researchers beyond the simple exchange of material or information. This study is a systematic review of the papers published by Iranian researchers, aiming to provide comprehensive indicators, methodologies, and software used for evaluating scientific collaboration. According to guidelines of the Cochrane Handbook, the national and international databases were used for searching by English and Persian keywords without any time limitations. The retrieved articles were managed using EndNote software. By applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 201 articles remained for this review. These articles were selected from 93 domestic and foreign journals between 2000 and 2019. The studies used 16 software to extract and analyze scientific collaboration indicators. Systematic review shows that bibliometric and network analysis methods were the main approaches used in scientific collaboration studies among papers published by Iranian researchers (93.5%). More than 25 indicators were extracted from these studies, and they were categorized into patterns of collaboration and co-authorship network analysis. Researchers have revealed an increasing interest in the factors affecting scientific collaboration in recent years. The present study provides comprehensive information on the articles published by Iranian researchers on scientific collaboration. The methodologies and software were identified that are most often used to evaluate scientific collaboration and adapted to direct future research. Still, a variety of indicators situates them in heterogeneous methods of research. This analytical perspective does not locate the evaluation of scientific collaboration at a single spot. Based on the analysis of data we observe that the share of single-authored papers was significantly high in theoretical computer science, while collaborative efforts dominate computer science system research like PL, AI, ML, etc. Collaborative authorship is higher in journals over conferences. Further, values of collaborative indicators are also high for journals except for the Machine Learning (ML) subfield. In addition, the author distribution patterns are different for conferences and journals. The findings also exhibited diversity in authorship trends across sub-fields of CS research. Our results show collaboration trends in conferences and journals of major CS subfields. This paper presents Indigenous youths' perspectives on well-being. Using Indigenous youth participatory action research with the Indigenous youth advisory committee of the Québec Youth Research Network Chair (Canada), community care emerged as the central feature of well-being and was then visually presented in the form of a postcard. We discuss the meaning given to community care, the factors that support it, and the role that a visual illustration can play in promoting change. The article is informed by the co-creation of the postcard, an online luncheon conversation, and several debriefing/reflexive sessions with the Indigenous youth co-authors. Emphasis is placed on cultural continuity, relational agency, and solidarity, offering an alternative point of view to the prevalent and damaging decontextualized, deficit-based, and individualized approaches to well-being. In the research on interdisciplinarity (RID), measures for evaluating the interdisciplinarity of scientific entities (e.g., papers, authors, journals or research areas) have been proposed for a long time. The author interdisciplinarity is very different from the other types of interdisciplinarity because of the complex interpersonal relationships between the connected authors. However, previous work has failed to uncover the distinctiveness of author interdisciplinarity and has regarded it as equivalent to other types of interdisciplinarity. In this work, an extended Rao–Stirling diversity measure is proposed, which incorporates the co-author network and a network similarity measure to specifically evaluate the author interdisciplinarity. Moreover, betweenness centrality is used for improving network similarity measure, because of its intrinsic advantage of expressing how an entity loads on different factors in a network, which is highly in line with the characteristic of interdisciplinarity. An experiment on the papers about Public Administration in the Web of Science is conducted; based on the final results, a deeper investigation is performed into by typical authors. Site selection processes whereby companies choose a location for an expansion or relocation have changed substantially over the past several decades. One key shift has been the emergence of collaboration among both individual economic developers and cooperation among the communities they represent. The rise in collaborative practices has also been increasingly reflected in the contemporary economic development literature outside the discipline of geography. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of economic development studies of collaboration and then to suggest ways that geographers might use concepts from that scholarship to inform and extend the limited number of studies exploring site selection practices. The paper begins by offering a context for the emergence of collaboration trends by highlighting the ways that information asymmetry in site selection processes create a demand for greater collaboration among industry practitioners. It then turns to an overview of the burgeoning literature on collaboration that has evolved over the last decade in the interdisciplinary scholarship on economic development. Next, the paper shifts to a discussion of the ways that geographers might use the literature on collaboration to inform studies of site selection, specifically focusing on geographic scale and research on site selection consultants as possible areas for future investigation. The article concludes by arguing that studying collaboration in the context of geographies of site selection holds the potential for greater insights into the broader outcomes of economic development. This paper delves into the life stories of three unaccompanied asylum seeking youth residing at a state care shelter in Istanbul in 2015 and 2016. Through its intervention, the research follows an engaged anthropological approach to reveal the hidden aspects of the youth's emotional and intellectual worlds. The in-depth life stories shared here illuminate Homi Bhabha's Third Space Theory (1994) and are amplified by a methodological approach we call affective multimodalities. As we seek to understand the various ways the youths navigate survival and learning to be freed from institutional categories, we explore a few concepts of Third Space Theory: extraterrestrial territories, paradoxical worlds, afterliferebirth, and a displaced angle of vision. Through the practice of a collaborative radio show and photography elicitations, the youth were asked to share their dreams as they were encouraged to realize their potentials. During this co-creative approach, one of the youth even became a co-author of this paper. Purpose In this study, we conducted quantitative analysis of 1706 scholarly literature published in Journal of Documentation during the period of 1970 to 2019 (fifty years) using a series of scientometric indicators. Annual scientific production, most local cited sources, the ranking of authors; profiles, contributions, correlation, collaboration and authorship pattern, most contributed countries, most cited articles, frequently used search terms/keywords, and the legend of historiographic mapping were analysed in detail to measure the impact of the source. Design/methodology/approach We used the Scopus database for retrieving the desired sample data. In total, 1,706 numbers of publications records were considered for the literature analysis considering their relevancy. Biblioshiny data visualization tool is used to create the various maps. Findings The present study found that annual scientific production and average citations constantly have had an uptrend. The journal's had tremendous impact with an h-index of 80, with a g-index of 148, total citations of 37,161 within the studied period. Although Bawden D contributed the highest number of research papers (n=78), the work published by Hjørland B received the highest citations. Lotka's Law reveals that about 75.04% of the authors (1319 authors) have one publication, and approximately 12.73% of the authors (225 authors) have two publications. The United Kingdom was the dominant country in terms of number of papers and citation count whereas University of Sheffield topped with 128 publications. The thematic map consists of eleven clusters and 'information retrieval' found to be the largest cluster comprehending 56 subthemes occurring 995 times. Co-citation network identified four clusters with revealing Wilson TD as the most cited authors. The study also indicates the most collaborative authors are from the United Kingdom. Research limitations/implications The study exclusively deals with 1732 published research literature indexed in the Scopus database covering a span of fifty years (from 1970 to 2019). Thus, documents which are not covered in Scopus are excluded from the purview of research. This study is significant in order to measure the impact of Journal of Documentation and useful to identify valuable research patterns from publications and of developments in the field of Information Science. Over the last two decades, all branches of science and technology have rapidly progressed, including the medical area. In Middle Eastern countries, including Iran, the increased growth of technology and science production has led to this rapid medical progress. Recent evidence has revealed that the increase in the number of scientific papers generated in Iran after the Iraqi imposed war against Iran has been eight times that in six main countries in the Middle East, including Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Syria. Although Iran's output in sciences has been still small in comparison to developed countries, it has significantly grown in the last decade, which is hoped to continue to increase and improve. The current paper shows a portion of the science production in Iran over the past two years based on papers published in the European Journal of Translational Myology in 2020 and 2021. Although the Issue 32 (1), 2022 in a special section contains several typescripts from Iran, they were not included in our analysis since they have not been yet indexed in the Scopus database. However, our report would encourage researchers of diverse nationalities to take part in research works and author joint papers. Purpose: King Fahd University of petroleum and minerals is one of the best universities in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. The primary goal of this study is to analyze research output and mapping knowledge of King Fahd University of petroleum and minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, between 2011 and 2020. Methodology: The present study employed the bibliometric method to explore the research performance of the King Fahd University Petroleum and Minerals between 2011 and 2020. The study focused on bibliometric parameters such as annual research growth and its citation impact over the years, the prolific researcher, authorship pattern, relevant sources, subjects-wise research and level of collaborations by authors and countries, etc. Results: The results show that out of 12494 papers, the highest research was 928 papers published in 2020. The majority of the 9906 publications were published as journal articles, and the "Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering" ranked first with 256 articles. B.S. Yilbas identified the most prolific author with 342 papers, and the three authorship (3509) papers were the most preferred authorship pattern. Moreover, the subject 'Engineering' has the highest number of published papers. Furthermore, the most commonly used author's keywords are adsorption, Corrosion, Laser, Laser, Solar, corrosion inhibition, and nanoparticles between 2011 and 2020. The results also show Saudi Arabia vs. the United States was most the collaborative country for KFUPM research with 1365 publications, followed by Pakistan and India, and the collaboration index noted as 1.42. This paper analyzes four collaborative English classes conducted by a teacher from a public school who used fairy tales to teach remotely while exploring WhatsApp and social networks to keep students interested in the subject. To generate the data, we transcribed one of the ninth-grade students' interactions: an interview in which they expressed their impressions about the lessons and classroom observation notes. The results of the data analysis show that the students became highly motivated by having worked collaboratively because they could exchange opinions and points of view on the literary texts and better understand them by interacting with their peers. This article investigates sequences of collaborative writing that are part of classroom interaction in student dyads and triads working with a digital device and a paper worksheet. In analyzing instances from a corpus of 18 h of video recordings made in five high-school classrooms through an ethnomethodological and conversation analytic approach, I focus on two embodied practices which do the work of recruiting assistance during the course of inscribing: lifting the pen and lifting the gaze. These practices are viewed as ordinary digressions from the basic posture of the writing body. I demonstrate that lifting the pen as a recruitment practice can be done as a brief stopping of the pen in its movement, as wrist rotation, or as hand elevation. Lifting the gaze can have varying temporal properties and occur synchronously with hand-on-face gestures. I conclude that collaborative writing underlines the indeterminacy of bodily practices as either recruitments, requests or contributions to joint courses of action. I also suggest that the identified practices may be further investigated as components of the specific speech-exchange system inherent to the activity of writing together. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper is a practice-led case study on Fred Lerdahl's "Cognitive Constraints on Compositional Systems". The model attempts to define an artificial compositional grammar in terms of a "universal listening syntax" based on Lerdahl's co-authored A Generative Theory of Tonal Music. Through demonstrating the practical application of the constraints, the author reflects on the model's usefulness in light of the contemporary compositional context. Notably, the theory presents abstracted pitch and rhythmic material as an aesthetically neutral syntax, therefore it can only provide stylistically ambiguous infrastructures akin to a musical maquette that needs to be further enacted at the composer's discretion. The study provides a complete view of authorship and collaborative patterns of global synthetic biology research. Data for the study was obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection database of Clarivate Analytics from 2005 to 2019. This study finds that the average number of authors per paper in the present data set is 4.56. The average productivity per author is 0.22, which shows that the number of authors and publications is increasing. The authorship pattern showed a remarkable increase in the number of multi-authored publications. The current data show a positive correlation between the number of publications and the number of authors. Further, the study finds higher rates of mean values of collaboration indicators (CI = 4.5576, DC = 0.8863, CC = 0.6483, and MCC = 0.6495) also proved the better rates of collaborations among authors in this field. Problems related to the extremization of functions have been studied for quite a long time not only by Russian experts but also by the world's leading experts in the field of applied mathematics. It should be noted that, nowadays, not all problems on this topic have a solution, despite the ongoing active research in mathematical modeling and mathematical programming. A serious work is underway on a deeper study of the properties of extremizable functions. This is especially topical in the context of our country's transition to a knowledge economy and, as a first step towards this, to the digital economy, when powerful supercomputers with performance of hundreds and thousands of petaflops have arisen and quantum computers begin to occur. The present study attempted to prepare the scientometric portrait of Joan C Durrance, a respected researcher in the community focused library services and a pioneer in the field of community informatics. The study focused on the aspects like Year and age wise publication output, Authorship pattern, Document types, Ranking of Collaborative authors, Preferred journal for communication of research results, Distribution of citations, and Ranking of top cited papers. She has contributed 165 publications including 39 seminar presentations since 1977 to 2011. Year wise growth indicated that she contributed the maximum number of scholarly output in 1996 at the age of 58 years. The pattern and other measures of authorship displayed its strength upon single authored publication. Among the document types most of the documents were Books/Book Chapters followed by Journal articles. The most preferred journal by Durrance for the publication of her research results was Public Libraries with 7 publications. The top ranked co-author of Joan C Durrance is K. E. Fisher who co-authored 40 papers in 10 years of contributing ages. 61 publications (48.41%) received 2595 citations with an average of 20.6 citations per paper, 65 publications (51.58%) still remained uncited. The most cited paper of Durrance is a journal article published in 2004 and received 434 citations till date. Purpose: Authorship is the ultimate status of intellectual recognition in academic publishing. Although fairly robust guidelines have already been in place for a considerable amount of time regarding authorship criteria and credit, such as those by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors or Contributor Roles Taxonomy, the lack of reliable verification techniques hamper their accuracy, thereby reducing the validity of authorship claims in such statements. This paper aims to focus on the authorship status and responsibilities of co-first authors and co-corresponding authors. Design/methodology/approach: To appreciate authorship responsibilities in this subset of authors, the broader academic authorship literature, as well as position statements, rules and guidelines, were consulted. Findings: Academic publishing that relies on metrics is a global multi-billion-dollar business, so strict measures to assess and confirm authorship, which can be intellectually or financially "profitable" among academics that game such metrics, are needed. The current assessment is that there are inconsistent rules for equally credited authors such as co-first authors, co-corresponding authors and co-supervisors. In shared and collaborative authorship, there are also shared authorship-related responsibilities, but these are infrequently discussed, or tend to only be dealt with broadly. Originality/value: Within the wider, and important, discussion about authorship, which is one of the most central issues in academic publishing, there has been a limited focus on equally credited authors such as co-first authors, co-corresponding authors and co-supervisors. In this paper, the author focuses on the joint effects of diffusion and advection on the dynamics of a classical two species Lotka-Volterra competition-diffusion-advection system, where the ratio of diffusion and advection rates are supposed to be a positive constant. For comparison purposes, the two species are assumed to have identical competition abilities throughout this paper. The results explore the condition on the diffusion and advection rates for the stability of former species. Meanwhile, an asymptotic behavior of the stable coexistence steady states is obtained. Linguistics has embraced the functional and contextual turn but, when building tools for systematic contextual description, we have not made as much use as we could of our own functional traditions. Rather, we have largely relied on the metaphors of law and rule, which do not adequately capture tensions between consistency and variability in how language and context relate to each other. Our aim in this paper is to show the economy and practicality of representing context as a pathway through a network, drawing on the network technique for mapping systems of grammatical choice introduced by Michael Halliday, and on its application to other linguistic strata first offered by Ruqaiya Hasan. The paper begins by outlining why alternative frameworks are needed for describing context-language relations. We then present a contextual network for one specific domain of the Systemic Functional Linguistic notion of Tenor, namely social distance, and use this to explore how different configurations of features of social distance influence the way that traditions of practice are passed on as a specialised legacy in two different professional collaborations. While the kind of context modelling discussed here is in a very early phase of development compared to phonetic, morphological and grammatical description, it has many advantages: contextual networks are paradigmatic in orientation; they help display and theorise metastability in language; they are "ad hoc" in Firth's positive sense; and they constitute a proposal to be tested against observed behaviour within specific cultural and situational settings.
