Magnetic, magnetocapacitance and dielectric properties of composite film of MnFe2O4-poly (vinylidenefluoride)-BaTiO3 are reported here for first time. The dielectric permittivity ([variant_greek_epsilon]′RT) was found to be ∼455 at 100 Hz. The maximum magnetization was observed ∼0.56 emu/g. The coercive field (Hc) and remnant magnetization (Mr) were found to be 88 Oe and 0.14 emu/g. Absolute value of the magnetocapacitance was found to be ∼ 0.54 % at 8 kOe. The observation of magnetodielectric properties in this novel film is the most conclusive experimental evidence of magnetoelectric coupling, which may be useful for device application as well as fascinating for fundamental physics.
