In earlier work, the author introduced a method for constructing a Frobenius categorification of a cluster algebra with frozen variables by starting from the data of an internally Calabi–Yau algebra, which becomes the endomorphism algebra of a cluster-tilting object in the resulting category. In this paper, we construct appropriate internally Calabi–Yau algebras for cluster algebras with polarized principal coefficients (which differ from those with principal coefficients by the addition of more frozen variables) and obtain Frobenius categorifications in the acyclic case. Via partial stabilization, we then define extriangulated categories, in the sense of Nakaoka and Palu, categorifying acyclic principal coefficient cluster algebras, for which Frobenius categorifications do not exist in general. Many of the intermediate results used to obtain these categorifications remain valid without the acyclicity assumption, as we will indicate, and are interesting in their own right. Most notably, we provide a Frobenius version of Van den Bergh's result that the Ginzburg dg-algebra of a quiver with potential is bimodule $3$ -Calabi–Yau. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We continue the work started in parts (I) and (II) of this series. In this paper, we classify which continuous quivers of type A are derived equivalent. Next, we define the new ${\mathcal {C}(A_{{\mathbb {R}},S})}$ , which we call weak continuous cluster category. It is a triangulated category, it does not have cluster structure but it has a new weaker notion of "cluster theory." We show that the original continuous cluster category of [15] is a localization of this new weak continuous cluster category. We define cluster theories to be appropriate groupoids and we show that cluster structures satisfy the conditions for cluster theories. We describe the relationship between different cluster theories: some new and some obtained from cluster structures. Cluster categories and cluster algebras encode two dimensional structures. For instance, the Auslander–Reiten quiver of a cluster category can be drawn on a surface, and there is a class of cluster algebras determined by surfaces with marked points. Cluster characters are maps from cluster categories (and more general triangulated categories) to cluster algebras. They have a tropical shadow in the form of so-called tropical friezes, which are maps from cluster categories (and more general triangulated categories) to the integers. This paper will define higher dimensional tropical friezes. One of the motivations is the higher dimensional cluster categories of Oppermann and Thomas, which encode (d + 1)-dimensional structures for an integer d ⩾ 1. They are (d + 2)-angulated categories, which belong to the subject of higher homological algebra. We will define higher dimensional tropical friezes as maps from higher cluster categories (and more general (d + 2)-angulated categories) to the integers. Following Palu, we will define a notion of (d + 2)-angulated index, establish some of its properties, and use it to construct higher dimensional tropical friezes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Geometric vertex decomposition and liaison are two frameworks that have been used to produce similar results about similar families of algebraic varieties. In this paper, we establish an explicit connection between these approaches. In particular, we show that each geometrically vertex decomposable ideal is linked by a sequence of elementary G-biliaisons of height $1$ to an ideal of indeterminates and, conversely, that every G-biliaison of a certain type gives rise to a geometric vertex decomposition. As a consequence, we can immediately conclude that several well-known families of ideals are glicci, including Schubert determinantal ideals, defining ideals of varieties of complexes and defining ideals of graded lower bound cluster algebras. Frieze patterns, as introduced by Coxeter in the 1970s, are closely related to cluster algebras without coefficients. A suitable generalization of frieze patterns, linked to cluster algebras with coefficients, has only briefly appeared in an unpublished manuscript by Propp. In this paper, we study these frieze patterns with coefficients systematically and prove various fundamental results, generalizing classic results for frieze patterns. As a consequence, we see how frieze patterns with coefficients can be obtained from classic frieze patterns by cutting out subpolygons from the triangulated polygons associated with classic Conway–Coxeter frieze patterns. We address the question of which frieze patterns with coefficients can be obtained in this way and solve this problem completely for triangles. Finally, we prove a finiteness result for frieze patterns with coefficients by showing that for a given boundary sequence there are only finitely many (nonzero) frieze patterns with coefficients with entries in a subset of the complex numbers without an accumulation point. In this paper we study consequences of the results of Kang et al. [ Monoidal categorification of cluster algebras , J. Amer. Math. Soc. 31 (2018), 349–426] on a monoidal categorification of the unipotent quantum coordinate ring $A_{q}(\mathfrak{n}(w))$ together with the Laurent phenomenon of cluster algebras. We show that if a simple module $S$ in the category ${\mathcal{C}}_{w}$ strongly commutes with all the cluster variables in a cluster $[\mathscr{C}]$ , then $[S]$ is a cluster monomial in $[\mathscr{C}]$. If $S$ strongly commutes with cluster variables except for exactly one cluster variable $[M_{k}]$ , then $[S]$ is either a cluster monomial in $[\mathscr{C}]$ or a cluster monomial in $\unicode[STIX]{x1D707}_{k}([\mathscr{C}])$. We give a new proof of the fact that the upper global basis is a common triangular basis (in the sense of Qin [ Triangular bases in quantum cluster algebras and monoidal categorification conjectures , Duke Math. 166 (2017), 2337–2442]) of the localization $\widetilde{A}_{q}(\mathfrak{n}(w))$ of $A_{q}(\mathfrak{n}(w))$ at the frozen variables. A characterization on the commutativity of a simple module $S$ with cluster variables in a cluster $[\mathscr{C}]$ is given in terms of the denominator vector of $[S]$ with respect to the cluster $[\mathscr{C}]$.
