Abstract: The article presents a study which investigates the possible pregnancy outcomes in women who have undergone bariatric surgery. Topics include the use of the Swedish Medical Birth Register database with links to other databases such as the National Patient Register to obtain the relevant population data for the study, the use of the SAS software program in the analysis, and the risk of gestational diabetes in postsurgery women.
