There is increasing focus on applying deep learning methods to electrocardiograms (ECGs), with recent studies showing that neural networks (NNs) can predict future heart failure or atrial fibrillation from the ECG alone. However, large numbers of ECGs are needed to train NNs, and many ECGs are currently only in paper format, which are not suitable for NN training. We developed a fully-automated online ECG digitisation tool to convert scanned paper ECGs into digital signals. Using automated horizontal and vertical anchor point detection, the algorithm automatically segments the ECG image into separate images for the 12 leads and a dynamical morphological algorithm is then applied to extract the signal of interest. We then validated the performance of the algorithm on 515 digital ECGs, of which 45 were printed, scanned and redigitised. The automated digitisation tool achieved 99.0% correlation between the digitised signals and the ground truth ECG (n = 515 standard 3-by-4 ECGs) after excluding ECGs with overlap of lead signals. Without exclusion, the performance of average correlation was from 90 to 97% across the leads on all 3-by-4 ECGs. There was a 97% correlation for 12-by-1 and 3-by-1 ECG formats after excluding ECGs with overlap of lead signals. Without exclusion, the average correlation of some leads in 12-by-1 ECGs was 60–70% and the average correlation of 3-by-1 ECGs achieved 80–90%. ECGs that were printed, scanned, and redigitised, our tool achieved 96% correlation with the original signals. We have developed and validated a fully-automated, user-friendly, online ECG digitisation tool. Unlike other available tools, this does not require any manual segmentation of ECG signals. This work describes the log-MAP (BCJR) algorithm implementation of a close to capacity dirty paper coding CODEC. The CODEC consists of eight deep pipeline processors. It decodes blocks of 975 bits in 26.9 ms using less than 9.7% of low-cost FPGA (and no DSP blocks). Two pipelines, for alpha and beta, calculate the values of gamma (of the BCJR) to reduce the storage requirements. The final log-likelihood ratio (LLR) is calculated together with alpha, reusing intermediate results. The number of bits used by the different signals of the processor is easily configurable. It was set to six bits to the channel measure signals and eight bits to log of probability signals like alpha, beta, and others. The CODEC clock was 100 MHz. The growing depletion of fossil fuels has led to the use of distributed renewable energy sources. This shift has altered the grid structure from centralized to distributed, where energy flows from multiple sources through multiple paths, besides producing a more competitive and dynamic energy market, posing new problems to power system management. To tackle the issue of effectively utilizing renewable energy sources, the energy internet (EI) was developed, in which devices are connected by energy routers. Therefore, efficiently transmitting energy within the EI has become a prominent topic in research. Despite the existence of algorithms and reviews in the literature on energy routing, there is still a lack of a thorough and comprehensive comparison of these existing algorithms. This paper classifies current energy routers and discusses and categorizes energy routing algorithms based on their methods. This paper addresses the problem of generating an evenly distributed set of Pareto solutions. It appears in real-life applications related to multi-objective optimization when it is important to represent the entire Pareto front with a minimal cost. There exist only a few algorithms which are able to tackle this problem in a general formulation. The Directed Search Domain (DSD) algorithm has proved to be efficient and quite universal. It has successfully been applied to different challengeable test cases. In this paper for the first time the DSD approach is systematically extended and applied to problems with higher dimensions. The modified algorithm does not have any formal limitation on the number of objective functions that is important for practical applications. The calculation of the spectral blueing operator in the traditional spectral blueing method has singularity, which leads to poor performance in post-stack seimic frequency expansion. To this end, a frequency spreading technique based on matching pursuit (MP) and spectral blueing is proposed. Through time–frequency analysis processing, it is shown that the seismic signal extracted by matching tracking method has good stability and higher resolution. The specific process of the method in this paper firstly uses the matching tracking method to accurately divide the post-stack seismic data into multiple frequency-division seismic bodies; then, in the process of calculating the spectral blueing ization operators for each frequency band, the weighting idea is used to calculate the weights of the optimized spectral blueing ization operators for each frequency band based on the differences in energy in different frequency bands; finally, the optimized spectral blueing operator is convolved with seismic reflection coefficients to obtain high-resolution seismic data. The actual test results of poststack seismic data have proven that the frequency raising method proposed in this paper is superior to the traditional spectral blueing ization algorithm, greatly improving the high-frequency component information of poststack seismic data. After frequency extension, there are more seismic events and higher resolution. Finally, the practicability and rationality of the seismic data after frequency extraction are verified by a series of operations such as attribute extraction, well seismic calibration and inversion. Remote Sensing Image Object Detection (RSIOD) faces the challenges of multi-scale objects, dense overlap of objects and uneven data distribution in practical applications. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes a YOLO-ACPHD RSIOD algorithm. The algorithm adopts Adaptive Condition Awareness Technology (ACAT), which can dynamically adjust the parameters of the convolution kernel, so as to adapt to the objects of different scales and positions. Compared with the traditional fixed convolution kernel, this dynamic adjustment can better adapt to the diversity of scale, direction and shape of the object, thus improving the accuracy and robustness of Object Detection (OD). In addition, a High-Dimensional Decoupling Technology (HDDT) is used to reduce the amount of calculation to 1/N by performing deep convolution on the input data and then performing spatial convolution on each channel. When dealing with large-scale Remote Sensing Image (RSI) data, this reduction in computation can significantly improve the efficiency of the algorithm and accelerate the speed of OD, so as to better adapt to the needs of practical application scenarios. Through the experimental verification of the RSOD RSI data set, the YOLO-ACPHD model in this paper shows very satisfactory performance. The F1 value reaches 0.99, the Precision value reaches 1, the Precision-Recall value reaches 0.994, the Recall value reaches 1, and the mAP value reaches 99.36 % , which indicates that the model shows the highest level in the accuracy and comprehensiveness of OD. In this paper we propose an algorithm for testing whether the independent observations come from finite-variance distribution. The preliminary knowledge about the data properties may be crucial for its further analysis and selection of the appropriate model. The idea of the testing procedure is based on the simple observation that the empirical cumulative even moment (ECEM) for data from finite-moments distribution tends to some constant whereas for data coming from heavy-tailed distribution, the ECEM exhibits irregular chaotic behavior. Based on this fact, in this paper we parameterize the regular/irregular behavior of the ECEM and construct a new test statistic. The efficiency of the testing procedure is verified for simulated data from three heavy-tailed distributions with possible finite and infinite variances. The effectiveness is analyzed for data represented in time domain. The simulation study is supported by analysis of real vibration signals from rotating machines. This paper proposes an implicit family of sub-step integration algorithms grounded in the explicit singly diagonally implicit Runge–Kutta (ESDIRK) method. The proposed methods achieve third-order consistency per sub-step, and thus, the trapezoidal rule is always employed in the first sub-step. This paper demonstrates for the first time that the proposed s-sub-step implicit method with s ≤ 6 can reach sth-order accuracy when achieving dissipation control and unconditional stability simultaneously. Hence, this paper develops, analyzes, and compares four cost-optimal high-order implicit algorithms within the present s-sub-step method using three, four, five, and six sub-steps. Each high-order implicit algorithm shares identical effective stiffness matrices to achieve optimal spectral properties. Unlike the published algorithms, the proposed high-order methods do not suffer from the order reduction for solving forced vibrations. Moreover, the novel methods overcome the defect that the authors' previous algorithms require an additional solution to obtain accurate accelerations. Recent rank-based attacks have reduced the security of Rainbow, which is one of the multi-layer UOV signatures, below the NIST security requirements by speeding up iterative kernel-finding operations using classical mathematics techniques. If quantum algorithms are applied to perform these iterative operations, the rank-based attacks may be more threatening to multi-layer UOV, including Rainbow. In this paper, we propose a quantum rectangular MinRank attack called the Q-rMinRank attack, the first quantum approach to key recovery attacks on multi-layer UOV signatures. Our attack is a general model applicable to multi-layer UOV signature schemes, and in this paper, we provide examples of its application to Rainbow and the Korean TTA standard, HiMQ. We design two quantum oracle circuits to find the kernel in consideration of the depth-width trade-off of quantum circuits. One is to reduce the width of the quantum circuits using qubits as a minimum, and the other is to reduce the depth using parallelization instead of using a lot of qubits. By designing quantum circuits to find kernels with fewer quantum resources and complexity by adding mathematical techniques, we achieve quadratic speedup for the MinRank attack to recover the private keys of multi-layer UOV signatures. We also estimate quantum resources for the designed quantum circuits and analyze quantum complexity based on them. The width-optimized circuit recovers the private keys of Rainbow parameter set V with only 1089 logical qubits. The depth-optimized circuit recovers the private keys of Rainbow parameter set V with a quantum complexity of 2 174 , which is lower than the complexity of 2 221 recovering the secret key of AES-192, which provides the same security level as parameter set III. In recent times, video inpainting techniques have intended to fill the missing areas or gaps in a video by utilizing known pixels. The variety in brightness or difference of the patches causes the state-of-the-art video inpainting techniques to exhibit high computation complexity and create seams in the target areas. To resolve these issues, this paper introduces a novel video inpainting technique that employs the Morphological Haar Wavelet Transform combined with the Krill Herd based Criminisi algorithm (MHWT-KHCA) to address the challenges of high computational demand and visible seam artifacts in current inpainting practices. The proposed MHWT-KHCA algorithm strategically reduces computation times and enhances the seamlessness of the inpainting process in videos. Through a series of experiments, the technique is validated against standard metrics such as peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index (SSIM), where it demonstrates superior performance compared to existing methods. Additionally, the paper outlines potential real-world applications ranging from video restoration to real-time surveillance enhancement, highlighting the technique's versatility and effectiveness. Under the condition of low signal-to-noise ratio, for the problem of insufficient speech feature extraction and speech enhancement effect of the traditional neural network, this paper is based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD), temporal convolutional network (TCN), and gated convolution recurrent neural network (GCRN), while combining with feature fusion module (FFM), the adaptive mean median-empirical mode decomposition-multilayer gated feature fusion module convolutional recurrent neural networks (ME-MGFCRNs) for speech enhancement modeling. The network model uses a split-frequency learning strategy to learn low-frequency features and high-frequency features, i.e., the TCN and MGFCRN networks are used to obtain low-frequency and high-frequency features, and FFM processes the two sets of features to achieve speech enhancement in the form of feature mapping. The model proposed in this paper performs ablation and comparison experiments on the dataset to evaluate the enhancement effect of speech using PESQ, FwSegSNR, and STOI metrics. The research shows that under different noise environments and SNR conditions, the model proposed in this paper improves compared with other baseline models, especially under the low SNR condition of − 5 dB, FwSegSNR and PESQ improve by more than 0.86 dB and 0.02 compared with other baseline models. This paper considers the problem of scheduling independent jobs with release dates and tails on m identical machines to minimize the makespan. The three main bounds are the preemptive bound, the energetic bound and the Jackson Pseudo Preemptive bound. It is known that they are very close in practice. The aim of this paper is to provide worst case instances where the slack between them is maximal and to prove tight bounds on the slack. The problem of finding optimal block designs can be formulated as a combinatorial optimization, but its resolution is still a formidable challenge. This paper presents a general and user-friendly algorithm, namely Modified Particle Swarm Optimization (MPSO), to construct optimal or near-optimal block designs. It can be used for several classes of block designs such as binary, non-binary and test-control block designs with correlated or uncorrelated observations. In order to evaluate the algorithm, we compare our results with the optimal designs presented in some published papers. India has produced several drafts of data policies. In this work, they are referred to [1] JBNSCR 2018, [2] DPDPR 2018, [3] NSAI 2018, [4] RAITF 2018, [5] PDPB 2019, [6] PRAI 2021, [7] JPCR 2021, [8] IDAUP 2022, [9] IDABNUP 2022. All of them consider Artificial Intelligence (AI) a social problem solver at the societal level, let alone an incentive for economic growth. However, these policy drafts warn of the social disruptions caused by algorithms and encourage the careful use of computational technologies in various social contexts. Hence, the emerging data society and its implications in India's social contexts demand immense social science attention, which needs to be improved in the policy drafts, primarily because they are creations of industry stakeholders, technocrats, bureaucrats, and experts from tech schools. In the larger social milieu of digital infrastructure emerging, the fundamental question is whether India's national philosophy envisioned in the Indian constitution is reflected in the policy papers. The paper enquires whether the national data policy upholds the core values dispersed through the philosophy of the Indian constitution, which, among other things, is not confined only to inclusion, diversity, rights, liberty, justice and equality. By focusing on constitutional values, the paper seeks to offer a broader and more critical understanding of India's approach to AI policy by bringing together analyses of a wide array of policy documents available in the public realm. In the petroleum and coal industries, digital image technology and acoustic emission technology are employed to study rock properties, but both exhibit flaws during data processing. Digital image technology is vulnerable to interference from fractures and scaling, leading to potential loss of image data; while acoustic emission technology is not hindered by these issues, noise from rock destruction can interfere with the electrical signals, causing errors. The monitoring errors of these techniques can undermine the effectiveness of rock damage analysis. To address this issue, this paper focuses on the restoration of image data acquired through digital image technology, leveraging deep learning techniques, and using soft and hard rocks made of similar materials as research subjects, an improved Incremental Transformer image algorithm is employed to repair distorted or missing strain nephograms during uniaxial compression experiments. The concrete implementation entails using a comprehensive training set of strain nephograms derived from digital image technology, fabricating masks for absent image segments, and predicting strain nephograms with full strain detail. Additionally, we adopt deep separable convolutional networks to optimize the algorithm's operational efficiency. Based on this, the analysis of rock damage is conducted using the repaired strain nephograms, achieving a closer correlation with the actual physical processes of rock damage compared to conventional digital image technology and acoustic emission techniques. The improved incremental Transformer algorithm presented in this paper will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of digital image technology in the realm of rock damage, saving time and money, and offering an innovative approach to traditional rock damage analysis. Advances in computer image recognition have significantly impacted many industries, including healthcare, security and autonomous systems. This paper aims to explore the potential of improving image algorithms to enhance computer image recognition. Specifically, we will focus on regression methods as a means to improve the accuracy and efficiency of identifying images. In this study, we will analyze various regression techniques and their applications in computer image recognition, as well as the resulting performance improvements through detailed examples and data analysis. This paper deals with the problems related to visual image processing in outdoor unstructured environment. Finally, the heterogeneous patterns are converted into the same pattern, and the heterogeneous patterns are extracted from the fusion features of data modes. The latent block model is used to simultaneously rank the rows and columns of a matrix to reveal a block structure. The algorithms used for estimation are often time consuming. However, recent work shows that the log-likelihood ratios are equivalent under the complete and observed (with unknown labels) models and the groups posterior distribution to converge as the size of the data increases to a Dirac mass located at the actual groups configuration. Based on these observations, the algorithm Largest Gaps is proposed in this paper to perform clustering using only the marginals of the matrix, when the number of blocks is very small with respect to the size of the whole matrix in the case of binary data. In addition, a model selection method is incorporated with a proof of its consistency. Thus, this paper shows that studying simplistic configurations (few blocks compared to the size of the matrix or very contrasting blocks) with complex algorithms is useless since the marginals already give very good parameter and classification estimates. Recent research has focused on applying blockchain technology to solve security-related problems in Internet of Things (IoT) networks. However, the inherent scalability issues of blockchain technology become apparent in the presence of a vast number of IoT devices and the substantial data generated by these networks. Therefore, in this paper, we use a lightweight consensus algorithm to cater to these problems. We propose a scalable blockchain-based framework for managing IoT data, catering to a large number of devices. This framework utilizes the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus algorithm to ensure enhanced performance and efficiency in resource-constrained IoT networks. DPoS being a lightweight consensus algorithm leverages a selected number of elected delegates to validate and confirm transactions, thus mitigating the performance and efficiency degradation in the blockchain-based IoT networks. In this paper, we implemented an Interplanetary File System (IPFS) for distributed storage, and Docker to evaluate the network performance in terms of throughput, latency, and resource utilization. We divided our analysis into four parts: Latency, throughput, resource utilization, and file upload time and speed in distributed storage evaluation. Our empirical findings demonstrate that our framework exhibits low latency, measuring less than 0.976 ms. The proposed technique outperforms Proof of Stake (PoS), representing a state-of-the-art consensus technique. In order to address the challenges of identifying, detecting, and tracking moving objects in video surveillance, this paper emphasizes image-based dynamic entity detection. It delves into the complexities of numerous moving objects, dense targets, and intricate backgrounds. Leveraging the You Only Look Once (YOLOv3) algorithm framework, this paper proposes improvements in image segmentation and data filtering to address these challenges. These enhancements form a novel multi-object detection algorithm based on an improved YOLOv3 framework, specifically designed for video applications. Experimental validation demonstrates the feasibility of this algorithm, with success rates exceeding 60% for videos such as "jogging", "subway", "video 1", and "video 2". Notably, the detection success rates for "jogging" and "video 1" consistently surpass 80%, indicating outstanding detection performance. Although the accuracy slightly decreases for "Bolt" and "Walking2", success rates still hover around 70%. Comparative analysis with other algorithms reveals that this method's tracking accuracy surpasses that of particle filters, Discriminative Scale Space Tracker (DSST), and Scale Adaptive Multiple Features (SAMF) algorithms, with an accuracy of 0.822. This indicates superior overall performance in target tracking. Therefore, the improved YOLOv3-based multi-object detection and tracking algorithm demonstrates robust filtering and detection capabilities in noise-resistant experiments, making it highly suitable for various detection tasks in practical applications. It can address inherent limitations such as missed detections, false positives, and imprecise localization. These improvements significantly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of target detection, providing valuable insights for researchers in the field of object detection, tracking, and recognition in video surveillance. In the past few decades, many multi-objective evolution algorithms (MOEAs) have been proposed, often emphasizing a single crossover operator, which has a significant impact on the algorithm's performance. This paper proposed a novel MOEA, based on the MOEA/D framework and employing Q-learning for adaptive operator selection (QLMOEA/D-AOS). In every Iteration, Q-learning is used to dynamically choose an operator among five crossover operators. To obtain a better distribution of solutions in multi-objective optimization problems with irregular PFs, a new approach for weight vector initializing is proposed. Additionally, to enhance population diversity, a reward calculation method based on two metrics, Spacing and PD, is proposed. Finally, the proposed algorithm is validated for different numbers of objectives, ranging from two to five for multi/many-objective optimization problems. Sparse general matrix–matrix multiplication (SpGEMM) is a crucial and complex computational task in many practical applications. Improving the performance of SpGEMM on SIMT processors like modern GPUs is challenging due to the unpredictable sparsity of sparse matrices. Although existing GPU solutions have made progress in improving performance through advanced algorithm design, they ignore some optimizations related to specific processor architectures. This can result in a partially inefficient implementation of their algorithms. This paper focuses on optimizing four inefficient parts of the NSparse algorithm on DCU (a GPU-like accelerator). The optimizations include: 1) setting parameters to improve the load balance of the second matrix by extracting maximum row information at runtime; 2) reducing overhead of binning operations by making full use of registers and shared memory effectively; 3) improving numerical SpGEMM performance by adjusting its calculation mode; and 4) enhancing global load balance through finer-grained grouping and kernel configurations. Experiment results demonstrate that when compared to five state-of-the-art SpGEMM algorithms (bhSparse, KokkosKernels, NSparse, rocSparse, and spECK), our optimized method achieves an average of 7.99x (up to 18.2x), 8.01x (up to 20.83x), 2.37x (up to 6.16x), 1.82x (up to 4.20x), and 1.63x (up to 5.01x) speedups on 29 sparse matrices with different sparse structures, respectively. In industrial scenarios, cross-departmental collaboration is necessary to achieve quality traceability. However, data cannot be shared due to privacy concerns. Vertical Federated Learning (VFL) enables heterogeneous industrial sectors to jointly train models while preserving product privacy. However, existing traditional VFL algorithms only focus on aligning feature benefits and suffer from high communication costs and poor performance. This paper proposes a "Cluster Knowledge-Driven Vertical Federated Learning" (Cluster-VFL) algorithm, which integrates cluster intelligence to optimize heterogeneous distributed environments. In Cluster-VFL, each participant engages in training as an individual within the cluster, taking into account the utilization of non-aligned features. Cluster-VFL promotes model updates by identifying global optimal individuals and transferring global optimal knowledge. Subsequently, this knowledge is merged with the individual optimal knowledge obtained from local training of each participant. We conducted extensive experiments using an open-source diagnostic dataset and a proprietary dataset from Company A. In this work, we propose a multiple feedback-based successive interference cancellation (SIC) scheme for an ultra-dense Internet of Things (IoT) device network. Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) enables massive connectivity with improved user fairness and spectral efficiency and is envisaged as a multiple access technique for IoT devices. NOMA simultaneously serves multiple users within a single resource block, leading to unbounded yet regulated multi-user interference. SIC is widely adopted in the NOMA system to detect users' symbols. Nevertheless, multi-user interference and error propagation in the SIC layer are inherent challenges in NOMA. Recent studies have aimed to minimize interference and error propagation, imposing stringent conditions on the number of users and power allocation. Thus, this paper proposes novel multiple feedback-based SIC algorithms for the uplink multi-user NOMA scenarios that outperform the conventional SIC. Further, the proposed algorithm's performance is analyzed under the practical case of imperfect channel state information at the receiver node to validate the robustness. This paper addresses the challenging task of guide wire navigation in cardiovascular interventions, focusing on the parameter estimation of a guide wire system using Ensemble Kalman Inversion (EKI) with a subsampling technique. The EKI uses an ensemble of particles to estimate the unknown quantities. However, since the data misfit has to be computed for each particle in each iteration, the EKI may become computationally infeasible in the case of high-dimensional data, e.g. high-resolution images. This issue can been addressed by randomised algorithms that utilize only a random subset of the data in each iteration. We introduce and analyse a subsampling technique for the EKI, which is based on a continuous-time representation of stochastic gradient methods and apply it to on the parameter estimation of our guide wire system. Further, by means of a robust auxiliary map incorporated in our theorems, the strong convergence of the sequence generated by Halpern-type iterative algorithm is proved thereby resolving in the affirmative the open problem raised by Kurokawa and Takahashi in their concluding remark for the case in which the map ℑ is averaged. Some special manufacturing fields such as aerospace may encounter mixed production of multiple research and development projects and multiple batch production projects. Under these special production conditions resource conflicts are more severe, resulting in uncertain operating times that are difficult to predict. To address these challenges this paper proposes new methods. A model, EMA-DCPM (dynamic critical path method) incorporating attention mechanisms in Enterprise Resource Planning and Mechanical Engineering Society) has been proposed. In this article, a new numerical algorithm for solving a 1-dimensional (1D) and 2-dimensional (2D) time-fractional diffusion equation is proposed. The Sinc-Galerkin scheme is considered for spatial discretization, and a higher-order finite difference formula is considered for temporal discretization. The convergence behavior of the methods is analyzed, and the error bounds are provided. The main objective of this paper is to propose the error bounds for 2D problems by using the Sinc-Galerkin method. The proposed method in terms of convergence is studied by using the characteristics of the Sinc function in detail with optimal rates of exponential convergence for 2D problems. The clustering algorithm is an effective method for developing energy efficiency routing protocol for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In clustered WSNs, cluster heads must handle high traffic, thus consuming more energy. Therefore, forming balanced clusters and selecting optimal cluster heads are significant challenges. The paper proposes a sector clustering algorithm based on K-means called KMSC. KMSC improves efficiency and balances the cluster size by employing symmetric dividing sectors in conjunction with K-means. For the selection of cluster heads (CHs), KMSC uses the residual energy and distance to calculate the weight of the node, then selects the node with the highest weight as CH. A hybrid single-hop and multi-hop communication is utilized to reduce long-distance transmissions. Furthermore, the impact of the number of sectors, the threshold for clustering, and the network size on the performance of KMSC has been explored. Broken adaptive ridge (BAR) is a penalized regression method that performs variable selection via a computationally scalable surrogate to L 0 regularization. The BAR regression has many appealing features; it converges to selection with L 0 penalties as a result of reweighting L 2 penalties, and satisfies the oracle property with grouping effect for highly correlated covariates. In this paper, we investigate the BAR procedure for variable selection in a semiparametric accelerated failure time model with complex high-dimensional censored data. Coupled with Buckley-James-type responses, BAR-based variable selection procedures can be performed when event times are censored in complex ways, such as right-censored, left-censored, or double-censored. Our approach utilizes a two-stage cyclic coordinate descent algorithm to minimize the objective function by iteratively estimating the pseudo survival response and regression coefficients along the direction of coordinates. Under some weak regularity conditions, we establish both the oracle property and the grouping effect of the proposed BAR estimator. State estimation for large-scale non-Gaussian dynamic systems remains an unresolved issue, given nonscalability of the existing particle filter algorithms. To address this issue, this paper extends the Langevinized ensemble Kalman filter (LEnKF) algorithm to non-Gaussian dynamic systems by introducing a latent Gaussian measurement variable to the dynamic system. The extended LEnKF algorithm can converge to the right filtering distribution as the number of stages become large, while inheriting the scalability of the LEnKF algorithm with respect to the sample size and state dimension. Despite many statistical applications brush the question of data quality aside, it is a fundamental concern inherent to external data collection. In this paper, data quality relates to the confidence one can have about the covariate values in a regression framework. More precisely, we study how to integrate the information of data quality given by a (n × p) -matrix, with n the number of individuals and p the number of explanatory variables. In this view, we suggest a latent variable model that drives the generation of the covariate values, and introduce a new algorithm that takes all these information into account for prediction. Our approach provides unbiased estimators of the regression coefficients, and allows to make predictions adapted to some given quality pattern. This contribution discusses the influence of different barrier update strategies on the performance and robustness of an interior point algorithm for single-crystal plasticity at small strains. To this end, single-crystal plasticity is first briefly presented in the framework of a primal-dual interior point algorithm to outline the general algorithmic structure. The manner in which the barrier parameter is modified within the interior point method, steering the penalization of constraints, plays a crucial role for the robustness and efficiency of the overall algorithm. Snake optimizer (SO) is an optimization algorithm drawn from the reproductive habits of serpents. It exhibits outstanding effectiveness in solving continuous optimization problems. However, SO may face some performance challenges related to its population diversity and early convergence behavior. In this paper, we address the challenges of SO by introducing the Hybrid snake optimizer algorithm (HSOA). HSOA is a novel approach to optimization that incorporates two new optimization techniques into the SO algorithm. First, it incorporates a new opposition-based learning technique called Oppositional-mutual learning into the initialization stage of the SO algorithm. Second, it integrates dynamic polynomial mutation, which is an intelligent mutation method, into the initialization and optimization stages of the SO algorithm. These integrated approaches aim to increase the population's diversity of SO, while improving its searchability during its optimization stage. In power systems, the economic load dispatch (ELD) is an intricate optimization problem that becomes more challenging when the restrictions of the valve point effect (VPE) are incorporated into it. ELD with VPE is non-convex, lacking smoothness, and exhibiting nonlinearity that considers operational limitations expressed as both equality and inequality constraints to generate electricity. The suggested HSOA algorithm underwent evaluation and was compared with 47 renowned optimization algorithms across five real-world ELD problems with different specifications: generators with different unit capacities, transmission losses, prohibited operation zones, and Ramp Rate restrictions. The experimental results demonstrate that HSOA produces competitive solutions for the five real-world ELD problems. In detail, HSOA achieves the top rank in three cases of ELD problems with a 3-unit generator, and it secures the second and third positions in high-dimensional ELD problems with 40-unit and 80-unit generators, respectively. The statistical tests confirm the reliability and efficiency of HSOA. In addition, the effectiveness of HSOA was evaluated using the single-objective IEEE-CEC 2014 functions and compared to the results of eight popular metaheuristic algorithms. In this paper, we develop a new algorithm for pattern synthesis of large linear arrays. In our algorithm, the large linear array is divided into multiple disjoint nonuniformly-spaced subarrays and is only weighted at subarray level. Unlike the existing methods, the subarray synthesis is implemented in two stages. Firstly, the optimization of subarray partition and subarray weights are performed by using the K-means approach. Based on the determined subarray partition and subarray weights, the subarray element positions are further optimized by the iterative convex programming method. Compared with the state-of-the-art methods, the proposed algorithm can synthesize lower peak sidelobe level and yield smaller pattern matching error. Machine learning-based direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation methods can have a good predictive ability even in complex scenarios. However, their estimation performance in the face of unknown data is poor because they rely on the generalization ability of the algorithm itself. Therefore, this paper proposes a DOA estimation method based on the Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM) algorithm. Using the histogram algorithm, gradient-based one-sided sampling and exclusive feature bundling measures, the LightGBM algorithm can reduce the time to find the best segmentation point, reduce the amount of data and the number of features in the dataset, thus reducing the model training time, and achieve high prediction accuracy. This article focuses on the fixed-time stability of a class of nonlinear systems with uncertain disturbances and time-varying delays. Different from other papers, the second-order sliding mode control algorithm (SOSMCA) is developed in this article to study the fixed-time stability of nonlinear systems for the first time. Additionally, the novel sliding mode surface (SMC) and second-order SMC are presented. And the stability and reachability of the sliding-mode dynamics under a faster settling time are demonstrated. Motivated by computing duplication patterns in sequences, a new problem called the longest letter-duplicated subsequence (LLDS) is proposed. Given a sequence S of length n, a letter-duplicated subsequence is a subsequence of S in the form of x 1 d 1 x 2 d 2 ... x k d k with x i ∈ Σ , x j ≠ x j + 1 and d i ≥ 2 for all i in [k] and j in [ k - 1 ] . A linear time algorithm for computing a longest letter-duplicated subsequence (LLDS) of S can be easily obtained. In this paper, we focus on two variants of this problem: (1) 'all-appearance' version, i.e., all letters in Σ must appear in the solution, and (2) the weighted version. For the former, we obtain dichotomous results: We prove that, when each letter appears in S at least 4 times, the problem and a relaxed version on feasibility testing (FT) are both NP-hard. The reduction is from (3 + , 1 , 2 -) -SAT, where all 3-clauses (i.e., containing 3 lals) are monotone (i.e., containing only positive literals) and all 2-clauses contain only negative literals. We then show that when each letter appears in S at most 3 times, then the problem admits an O(n) time algorithm. Red–black (RB) trees are one of the most efficient variants of balanced binary search trees. However, they have often been criticized for being too complicated, hard to explain, and unsuitable for pedagogical purposes, particularly their delete operation. Sedgewick (in: Dagstuhl Workshop on Data Structures, 2008. https://sedgewick.io/wp-content/themes/sedgewick/papers/2008LLRB.pdf) identified the length of code as the root of the problems and introduced left-leaning red–black (LLRB) trees. The delete operation of LLRB trees has a compact recursive code. Unfortunately, it may perform many unnecessary operations. The crux of the deletion algorithm is dealing with a "deficient" subtree, that is one whose black-height has become one less than that of its sibling subtree. In this paper, we revisit 2–3 red–black trees and propose a parity-seeking delete algorithm with the basic idea of making a deficient subtree on a par with its sibling: either by fixing the deficient subtree or by turning the sibling deficient as well, ascending deficiency to the parent node. Interestingly, the proposed parity-seeking delete algorithm also works for 2–3–4 RB trees. Our experiments show that the proposed parity-seeking delete algorithm is as efficient as the best preceding RB trees. The multi-state flow network (MSFN) serves as a fundamental framework for real-life network-structured systems and various applications. The system reliability of the MSFN, denoted as Rd, is defined as the probability of successfully transmitting at least d units of demand from a source to a terminal. Current analytical algorithms are characterized by their computational complexity, specifically falling into the NP-hard problem to evaluate exact system reliability. Moreover, existing analytical algorithms for calculating Rd are basically designed for predetermined values of d. This limitation hinders the ability of decision-makers to flexibly choose the most appropriate based on the specific characteristics of the given scenarios or applications. This means that these methods are incapable of simultaneously calculating system reliability for various demand levels. Email phishing is a social engineering scheme that uses spoofed emails intended to trick the user into disclosing legitimate business and personal credentials. Many phishing email detection techniques exist based on machine learning, deep learning, and word embedding. In this paper, we propose a new technique for the detection of phishing emails using word embedding (Word2Vec, FastText, and TF-IDF) and deep learning techniques (DNN and BiLSTM network). Our proposed technique makes use of only four header based (From, Returnpath, Subject, Message-ID) features of the emails for the email classification. We applied several word embeddings for the evaluation of our models. From the experimental evaluation, we observed that the DNN model with FastText-SkipGram achieved an accuracy of 99.52% and BiLSTM model with FastText-SkipGram achieved an accuracy of 99.42%. We have recently seen tremendous progress in diffusion advances for generating realistic human motions. Yet, they largely disregard the multi-human interactions. In this paper, we present InterGen, an effective diffusion-based approach that enables layman users to customize high-quality two-person interaction motions, with only text guidance. We first contribute a multimodal dataset, named InterHuman. It consists of about 107 M frames for diverse two-person interactions, with accurate skeletal motions and 23,337 natural language descriptions. For the algorithm side, we carefully tailor the motion diffusion model to our two-person interaction setting. To handle the symmetry of human identities during interactions, we propose two cooperative transformer-based denoisers that explicitly share weights, with a mutual attention mechanism to further connect the two denoising processes. Then, we propose a novel representation for motion input in our interaction diffusion model, which explicitly formulates the global relations between the two performers in the world frame. We further introduce two novel regularization terms to encode spatial relations, equipped with a corresponding damping scheme during the training of our interaction diffusion model. Graph matching is a commonly used technique in computer vision and pattern recognition. Recent data-driven approaches have improved the graph matching accuracy remarkably, whereas some traditional algorithm-based methods are more robust to feature noises, outlier nodes, and global transformation (e.g. rotation). In this paper, we propose a graph neural network (GNN) based approach to combine the advantage of data-driven and traditional methods. In the GNN framework, we transform traditional graph matching solvers as single-channel GNNs on the association graph and extend the single-channel architecture to the multi-channel network. The proposed model can be seen as an ensemble method that fuses multiple algorithms at every iteration. Instead of averaging the estimates at the end of the ensemble, in our approach, the independent iterations of the ensembled algorithms exchange their information after each iteration via a 1 × 1 channel-wise convolution layer. Experiments show that our model improves the performance of traditional algorithms significantly. In addition, we propose a random sampling strategy to reduce the computational complexity and GPU memory usage, so that the model is applicable to matching graphs with thousands of nodes. We evaluate the performance of our method on three tasks: geometric graph matching, semantic feature matching, and few-shot 3D shape classification. In practical engineering applications, factors like dust adhesion and environmental changes can cause photovoltaic arrays to exhibit multiple peaks in output power. An optimization algorithm with global optimization capability is needed to track its maximum power. In this regard, this paper proposes an improved marine predator algorithm (IMPA) to extract the maximum power point of photovoltaic system under complex solar irradiation conditions. To overcome the issues in the traditional marine predator algorithm (MPA), the opposition-based learning(OBL) strategy is introduced in IMPA, and the sine cosine algorithm (SCA) is integrated into the iteration stage to enhance the search ability of the algorithm. Furthermore, the low-order converter in the traditional MPPT control system is replaced by the Zeta converter, which increases the operating voltage range. In this paper, an enhanced equilibrium optimization (EO) version named Levy-opposition-equilibrium optimization (LOEO) is proposed to select effective features in network intrusion detection systems (IDSs). The opposition-based learning (OBL) approach is applied by this algorithm to improve the diversity of the population. Also, the Levy flight method is utilized to escape local optima. Then, the binary rendition of the algorithm called BLOEO is employed to feature selection in IDSs. One of the main challenges in IDSs is the high-dimensional feature space, with many irrelevant or redundant features. The BLOEO algorithm is designed to intelligently select the most informative subset of features. The empirical findings on NSL-KDD, UNSW-NB15, and CIC-IDS2017 datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the BLOEO algorithm. This algorithm has an acceptable ability to effectively reduce the number of data features, maintaining a high intrusion detection accuracy of over 95%. Formally verified compilers and formally verified static analyzers are a solution to the problem that certain industries face when they have to demonstrate to authorities that the object code they run truly corresponds to its source code and that it satisfies certain properties. From a scientific and technological point of view, they are a challenge: not only a number of nontrivial invariants and algorithms must be proved to be correct, but also the implementation must be reasonably effective so that the tools operate within reasonable time. The presence of microparticle viruses significantly impacts the quality of silkworm seeds for domestic sericulture, making their exclusion from detection in silkworm seed production crucial. Traditional methods for detecting microparticle viruses in silkworms, such as manual microscopic observation, molecular biology, and immunological approaches, are cumbersome and unable to achieve intelligent, batch real-time detection. To address this challenge, we employ the YOLOv8 algorithm in this paper. Firstly, NAM attention is introduced in the original algorithm's Backbone component, allowing the model to extract more generic feature information. Secondly, ODConv replaces Conv in the Head component of the original algorithm, enhancing the model's ability to identify microparticle viruses. Finally, NWD-LOSS modifies the CIoU loss of the original algorithm to obtain a more accurate prediction box. Experimental results demonstrate that the NN-YOLOv8 model outperforms mainstream detection algorithms in detecting silkworm microparticle diseases. With an average detection time of 22.6 milliseconds per image, the model shows promising prospects for future applications. Imbalanced data poses a significant challenge in machine learning, as conventional classification algorithms often prioritize majority class samples, while accurately classifying minority class samples is more crucial. The synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) represents one of the most renowned methods for handling imbalanced data. However, both SMOTE and its variants have limitations due to their insufficient consideration of data distribution, leading to the generation of incorrect and unnecessary samples. This paper, therefore, introduces a novel oversampling algorithm called data distribution and spectral clustering-based SMOTE (DDSC-SMOTE). This algorithm addresses the shortcomings of SMOTE by introducing three innovative data distribution-based improvement strategies: adaptive allocation of synthetic sample quantities strategy, seed sample adaptive selection strategy, and synthetic sample improvement strategy. First, we use the k-nearest neighbor sample labels and the local outlier factor algorithm to remove noisy and outlier samples. Next, we leverage spectral clustering to identify clusters within the minority class and propose a dual-weight factor that considers inter-cluster and intra-cluster distances to allocate the number of synthetic samples effectively, addressing interclass and intraclass imbalances. Furthermore, we introduce a relative position weight coefficient to determine the probability of selecting seed samples within the subcluster, ensuring that important minority samples have higher chances of being sampled. Finally, we improve the SMOTE sample synthesis formula for safer generation. Extensive comparisons on real datasets from the UCI repository demonstrate that DDSC-SMOTE outperforms seven state-of-the-art oversampling algorithms significantly in terms of G-mean and F1-score, presenting a data distribution-focused solution for addressing imbalanced data challenges. Blockchain received a vast amount of attention in recent years and is still growing. The second generation of blockchain, such as Ethereum, allows execution of almost any program in EVM, making it a global protocol for distributed applications. The code deployment and each operation performed in EVM cost the network fee called gas, whose price varies and can be significant. That is why code optimization and well-chosen algorithms are crucial in programming on the blockchain. This paper evaluates the gas usage of several exact pattern matching algorithms on the EVM. We also propose an efficient implementation of the algorithms in the Solidity/YUL language. We evaluate the gas fees of all the algorithms for different parameters (such as pattern length, alphabet size, and text size). As the core of blockchain technology, the consensus mechanism ensures the safe and stable operation of the blockchain system. According to the more complex traceability of data when sharing cross-system and cross-chain, the paper proposes the Layered Cross-Chain Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (LC-PBFT) suitable for cross-chain scenarios to ensure the secure traceability of data in the process of cross-chain data traceability. Firstly, in a single chain, the initial reputation value is set according to the success rate and efficiency of the nodes in the historical transactions in the chain, the reputation ranking of the nodes in the chain is realized by the improved PageRank algorithm, and delegated nodes are selected to participate in the cross-chain consensus based on reputation ranking. Then, the forest topology is sorted according to the contribution of the consensus nodes in the cross-chain system, and the consensus results from the child nodes are quickly verified by aggregation signature, which prevents the parent node from tampering with the consensus results of the child nodes. Meanwhile, the consensus process between the sibling nodes in the same layer and the view switching protocol when the master node fails are given. Finally, the performance of the LC-PBFT consensus algorithm is analyzed, and its advantages in performance such as throughput are verified by simulation.
