The article reports on the implication of the Standard Attainment Tests (Sats) to the return of test papers to schools in Great Britain. It notes that strict quality control in the key stage 2 English Sats marking could cause delay on the return of the papers to schools. Survey shows that 30 percent more than the required markers are recruited. It points out that there are an additional reserve markers to allow for the expected drop-outs during standardization.
