Indicating the striking feature of non-separability in components, a complex system cannot be understood in terms of the individual isolated constituents' properties per se, it can rather be comprehended as a way to multilevel approach systems behavior with systems whose emergent behavior and pattern transcend the characteristics of ubiquitous units composing the system itself. This observation specifies a change of scientific paradigm, presenting that a reductionist perspective does not by any means imply a constructionist view; and in that vein, complex systems science, associated with multiscale problems, is regarded as ascendancy of emergence over reductionism and level of mechanistic insight evolving into complex system. While evolvability being related to the species and humans owing their existence to their ancestors' capability with regards to adapting, emerging and evolving besides the relation between complexity of models, designs, visualization and optimality, a horizon that can take into account the subtleties making their own means of solutions applicable is to be entailed by complexity. The approach of fractional calculus, within mathematics-informed frameworks employed to enable reliable comprehension into complex processes which encompass an array of temporal and spatial scales notably provides the novel applicable models through fractional-order calculus to optimization methods. Computational science and modeling, notwithstanding, are oriented toward the simulation and investigation of complex systems through the use of computers by making use of domains ranging from mathematics to physics as well as computer science. A computational model consisting of numerous variables that characterize the system under consideration allows the performing of many simulated experiments via computerized means. Furthermore, Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques whether combined or not with fractal, fractional analysis as well as mathematical models have enabled various applications including the prediction of mechanisms ranging extensively from living organisms to other interactions across incredible spectra besides providing solutions to real-world complex problems both on local and global scale. Taken together, this line of sophisticated and computer-assisted proof approach can fulfill the requirements of accuracy, interpretability, predictability and reliance on mathematical sciences with the assistance of AI and machine learning being at the plinth of and at the intersection with different domains among many other related points in line with the concurrent technical analyses, computing processes, computational foundations and mathematical modeling. Consequently, as distinctive from the other ones, our special issue series provides a novel direction for stimulating, refreshing and innovative interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary understanding and research in model-based, data-driven modes to be able to obtain feasible accurate solutions, designed simulations, optimization processes, among many more. This research work is to design a neural-swarming heuristic procedure for numerical investigations of Singular Multi-Pantograph Delay Differential (SMP-DD) equation by applying the function approximation aptitude of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) optimized efficient swarming mechanism based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) integrated with convex optimization with Active Set (AS) algorithm for rapid refinements, named as ANN-PSO-AS. A merit function (MF) on mean squared error sense is designed by using the differential ANN models and boundary condition. The optimization of this MF is executed with the global PSO and local search AS approaches. The planned ANN-PSO-AS approach is instigated for three different SMP-DD model-based equations. The assessment with available standard results relieved the effectiveness, robustness and precision that is further authenticated through statistical investigations of Variance Account For, Root Mean Squared Error, Semi-Interquartile Range and Theil's inequality coefficient performances. It has become vital to effectively characterize the self-similar and regular patterns in time series marked by short-term and long-term memory in various fields in the ever-changing and complex global landscape. Within this framework, attempting to find solutions with adaptive mathematical models emerges as a major endeavor in economics whose complex systems and structures are generally volatile, vulnerable and vague. Thus, analysis of the dynamics of occurrence of time section accurately, efficiently and timely is at the forefront to perform forecasting of volatile states of an economic environment which is a complex system in itself since it includes interrelated elements interacting with one another. To manage data selection effectively and attain robust prediction, characterizing complexity and self-similarity is critical in financial decision-making. Our study aims to obtain analyzes based on two main approaches proposed related to seven recognized indexes belonging to prominent countries (DJI, FCHI, GDAXI, GSPC, GSTPE, N225 and Bitcoin index). The first approach includes the employment of Hurst exponent (HE) as calculated by Rescaled Range (R / S) fractal analysis and Wavelet Entropy (WE) in order to enhance the prediction accuracy in the long-term trend in the financial markets. The second approach includes Artificial Neural Network (ANN) algorithms application Feed forward back propagation (FFBP), Cascade Forward Back Propagation (CFBP) and Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) algorithm for forecasting purposes. The following steps have been administered for the two aforementioned approaches: (i) HE and WE were applied. Consequently, new indicators were calculated for each index. By obtaining the indicators, the new dataset was formed and normalized by min-max normalization method' (ii) to form the forecasting model, ANN algorithms were applied on the datasets. Based on the experimental results, it has been demonstrated that the new dataset comprised of the HE and WE indicators had a critical and determining direction with a more accurate level of forecasting modeling by the ANN algorithms. Consequently, the proposed novel method with multifarious methodology illustrates a new frontier, which could be employed in the broad field of various applied sciences to analyze pressing real-world problems and propose optimal solutions for critical decision-making processes in nonlinear, complex and dynamic environments. This research is related to present a novel fractional Mayer neuro-swarming intelligent solver for the numerical treatment of multi-fractional order doubly singular Lane–Emden (LE) equation using combined investigations of the Mayer wavelet (MW) neural networks (NNs) optimized by the global search effectiveness of particle swarm optimization (PSO) and interior-point (IP) method, i.e. MW-NN-PSOIP. The design of novel fractional Mayer neuro-swarming intelligent solver for multi-fractional order doubly singular LE equation is derived from the standard LE model and the shape factors; fractional order terms along with singular points are examined. The modeling based on the MW-NN strength is implemented to signify the multi-fractional order doubly singular LE model using the ability of mean squared error in terms of the merit function and the networks are optimized with the integrated capability of PSOIP scheme. The perfection, verification and validation of the fractional Mayer neuro-swarming intelligent solver for three different cases of the multi-fractional order doubly singular LE equation are recognized through comparative investigations from the reference results on different measures based on the convergence, robustness, stability and accuracy.
