The rapid growth in computational power, sensor technology, and wearable devices has provided a solid foundation for all aspects of cardiac arrhythmia care. Artificial intelligence (AI) has been instrumental in bringing about significant changes in the prevention, risk assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of arrhythmia. This review examines the current state of AI in the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation, supraventricular arrhythmia, ventricular arrhythmia, hereditary channelopathies, and cardiac pacing. Furthermore, ChatGPT, which has gained attention recently, is addressed in this paper along with its potential applications in the field of arrhythmia. Additionally, the accuracy of arrhythmia diagnosis can be improved by identifying electrode misplacement or erroneous swapping of electrode position using AI. Remote monitoring has expanded greatly due to the emergence of contactless monitoring technology as wearable devices continue to develop and flourish. Parallel advances in AI computing power, ChatGPT, availability of large data sets, and more have greatly expanded applications in arrhythmia diagnosis, risk assessment, and treatment. More precise algorithms based on big data, personalized risk assessment, telemedicine and mobile health, smart hardware and wearables, and the exploration of rare or complex types of arrhythmia are the future direction. The research on high-precision and all-scenario localization using the millimeter-wave (mmWave) band is of great urgency. Due to the characteristics of mmWave, blockages make the localization task more complex. This paper proposes a cooperative localization system among user equipment (UEs) assisted by reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs), which considers device-to-device (D2D) communication. RISs are used as anchor points, and position estimation is achieved through signal exchanges between UEs. Firstly, we establish a localization model based on this system and derive the UEs' positioning error bound (PEB) as a performance metric. Then, a UE-RIS joint beamforming design is proposed to optimize channel state information (CSI) with the objective of achieving the minimum PEB. Finally, simulation analysis demonstrates the advantages of the proposed scheme over RIS-assisted base station positioning, achieving centimeter-level accuracy with a 10 dBm lower transmission power. Robust face clustering enjoys a wide range of applications for gate passes, surveillance systems and security analysis in embedded sensors. Nevertheless, existing algorithms have limitations in finding accurate clusters when data contain noise (e.g., occluded face clustering and recognition). It is known that in subspace clustering, the ℓ 1 - and ℓ 2 -norm regularizers can improve subspace preservation and connectivity, respectively, and the elastic net regularizer (i.e., the mixture of the ℓ 1 - and ℓ 2 -norms) provides a balance between the two properties. However, existing deterministic methods have high per iteration computational complexities, making them inapplicable to large-scale problems. To address this issue, this paper proposes the first accelerated stochastic variance reduction gradient (RASVRG) algorithm for robust subspace clustering. We also introduce a new momentum acceleration technique for the RASVRG algorithm. As a result of the involvement of this momentum, the RASVRG algorithm achieves both the best oracle complexity and the fastest convergence rate, and it reaches higher efficiency in practice for both strongly convex and not strongly convex models. Various experimental results show that the RASVRG algorithm outperformed existing state-of-the-art methods with elastic net and ℓ 1 -norm regularizers in terms of accuracy in most cases. As demonstrated on real-world face datasets with different manually added levels of pixel corruption and occlusion situations, the RASVRG algorithm achieved much better performance in terms of accuracy and robustness. In this paper, a planning method based on the spatiotemporal variable-step-size A* algorithm is proposed to address the problem of safe trajectory planning for incremental, wheeled, mobile robots in complex motion scenarios with multiple robots. After constructing the known conditions, the spatiotemporal variable-step-size A* algorithm is first used to perform a collision-avoiding initial spatiotemporal trajectory search, and a variable time step is utilized to ensure that the robot completes the search at the target speed. Subsequently, the trajectory is instantiated using B-spline curves in a numerical optimization considering constraints to generate the final smooth trajectory. The results of simulation tests in a field-shaped, complex, dynamic scenario show that the proposed trajectory planning method is more applicable, and the results indicate higher efficiency compared to the traditional method in the incremental robot trajectory planning problem. Scanning ion conductance microscopy (SICM) enables the non-invasive three-dimensional imaging of live cells and other structures in physiological environments. However, when imaging complex samples, SICM faces challenges such as having a low temporal resolution during slow scanning and a reduced signal-to-noise ratio during fast scanning, making it difficult to simultaneously improve both temporal and spatial resolution. To address these issues, this paper proposes an algorithm for enhancing image resolution under high-speed scanning. Firstly, scanning images are preprocessed using a median filtering algorithm to remove the salt-and-pepper noise generated during high-speed scanning. Next, the Canny edge detection algorithm is employed to extract the edges of the image targets. To avoid blurring the edges, the new edge-directed interpolation (NEDI) algorithm is then used to fill the edges, while non-edge areas are filled using bilinear interpolation, thereby enhancing the image resolution. Finally, the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index (SSIM) are used to analyze the imaging of articular chondrocytes. The results show that under a scanning speed of 480 nm/ms, the proposed algorithm improves the temporal resolution of imaging by 60% compared to traditional 2× resolution imaging, increases the peak signal-to-noise ratio of the scanning images by 7 dB, and achieves a structural similarity of 0.97. Therefore, the proposed algorithm effectively removes noise during high-speed scanning and improves the SICM scanning imaging resolution, thereby avoiding the reduction in temporal resolution when scanning larger resolution samples and effectively enhancing the performance of SICM scanning imaging. Simple Summary: Pencil beam scanning nozzles monitor the beam position in real time and record the results in log files. We cannot, however, place a beam position monitor at the isocenter during treatment, so accurate online beam position corrections and log file analyses rely on an algorithm to project the beam position from the nozzle to the isocentric plane. We present four generic algorithms and determined the accuracy of each approach in three example configurations and two nozzle lengths. Beam position uncertainties along the beam trajectory arise from the accelerator, beamline, and scanning magnets (SMs). They can be monitored in real time, e.g., through strip ionization chambers (ICs), and treatments can be paused if needed. Delivery is more reliable and accurate if the beam position is projected from monitored nozzle parameters to the isocenter, allowing for accurate online corrections to be performed. Beam position projection algorithms are also used in post-delivery log file analyses. In this paper, we investigate the four potential algorithms that can be applied to all pencil beam scanning (PBS) nozzles. For some combinations of nozzle configurations and algorithms, however, the projection uses beam properties determined offline (e.g., through beam tuning or technical commissioning). The best algorithm minimizes either the total uncertainty (i.e., offline and online) or the total offline uncertainty in the projection. Four beam position algorithms are analyzed (A1–A4). Two nozzle lengths are used as examples: a large nozzle (1.5 m length) and a small nozzle (0.4 m length). Three nozzle configurations are considered: IC after SM, IC before SM, and ICs on both sides. Default uncertainties are selected for ion chamber measurements, nozzle entrance beam position and angle, and scanning magnet angle. The results for other uncertainties can be determined by scaling these results or repeating the error propagation. We show the propagation of errors from two locations and the SM angle to the isocenter for all the algorithms. The best choice of algorithm depends on the nozzle length and is A1 and A3 for the large and small nozzles, respectively. If the total offline uncertainty is to be minimized (a better choice if the offline uncertainty is not stable), the best choice of algorithm changes to A1 for the small nozzle for some hardware configurations. Reducing the nozzle length can help to reduce the gantry size and make proton therapy more accessible. This work is important for designing smaller nozzles and, consequently, smaller gantries. Glaucoma is a chronic eye condition that seriously impairs vision and requires early diagnosis and treatment. Automated detection techniques are essential for obtaining a timely diagnosis. In this paper, we propose a novel method for feature selection that integrates the cuckoo search algorithm with Caputo fractional order (CFO-CS) to enhance the performance of glaucoma classification. However, when using the infinite series, the Caputo definition has memory length truncation issues. Therefore, we suggest a fixed memory step and an adjustable term count for optimization. We conducted experiments integrating various feature extraction techniques, including histograms of oriented gradients (HOGs), local binary patterns (LBPs), and deep features from MobileNet and VGG19, to create a unified vector. We evaluate the informative features selected from the proposed method using the k-nearest neighbor. Furthermore, we use data augmentation to enhance the diversity and quantity of the training set. The proposed method enhances convergence speed and the attainment of optimal solutions during training. The results demonstrate superior performance on the test set, achieving 92.62% accuracy, 94.70% precision, 93.52% F1-Score, 92.98% specificity, 92.36% sensitivity, and 85.00% Matthew's correlation coefficient. Ship detection and identification play pivotal roles in ensuring navigation safety and facilitating efficient maritime traffic management. Aiming at ship detection in complex environments, which often faces problems such as the dense occlusion of ship targets, low detection accuracy, and variable environmental conditions, in this paper, we propose a ship detection algorithm CSD-YOLO (Context guided block module, Slim-neck, Deformable large kernel attention-You Only Look Once) based on the deformable large kernel attention (D-LKA) mechanism, which was improved based on YOLOv8 to enhance its performance. This approach integrates several innovations to bolster its performance. Initially, the utilization of the Context Guided Block module (CG block) enhanced the c2f module of the backbone network, thereby augmenting the feature extraction capabilities and enabling a more precise capture of the key image information. Subsequently, the introduction of a novel neck architecture and the incorporation of the slim-neck module facilitated more effective feature fusion, thereby enhancing both the accuracy and efficiency of detection. Furthermore, the algorithm incorporates a D-LKA mechanism to dynamically adjust the convolution kernel shape and size, thereby enhancing the model's adaptability to varying ship target shapes and sizes. To address data scarcity in complex marine environments, the experiments utilized a fused dataset comprising the SeaShips dataset and a proprietary dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that the CSD-YOLO algorithm outperformed the YOLOv8n algorithm across all model evaluation metrics. Specifically, the precision rate (precision) was 91.5%, the recall rate (recall) was 89.5%, and the mean accuracy (mAP) was 91.5%. Compared to the benchmark algorithm, the Recall was improved by 0.7% and the mAP was improved by 0.4%. Granular computing (GrC) is a methodology for reducing the complexity of problem solving and includes two basic aspects: granulation and granular-based computing. Strongly connected components (SCCs) are a significant subgraph structure in digraphs. In this paper, two new granulation strategies were devised to improve the efficiency of computing SCCs. Firstly, four SCC correlations between the vertices were found, which can be divided into two classes. Secondly, two granulation strategies were designed based on correlations between two classes of SCCs. Thirdly, according to the characteristics of the granulation results, the parallelization of computing SCCs was realized. Finally, a parallel algorithm based on granulation strategy for computing SCCs of simple digraphs named GPSCC was proposed. Many-objective optimization problems are today ever more common. The decomposition-based approach stands out among the evolutionary algorithms used for their solution, with MOEA/D and its variations playing significant roles. MOEA/D variations seek to improve weight vector definition, improve the dynamic adjustment of weight vectors during the evolution process, improve the evolutionary operators, use alternative decomposition methods, and hybridize with other metaheuristics, among others. Although an essential topic for the success of MOEA/D depends on how well the weight vectors are defined when decomposing the problem, not as much research has been performed on this topic as on the others. This paper proposes using a new mathematical object called augmented covering arrays (ACAs) that enable a better sampling of interactions of M objectives using the least number of weight vectors based on an interaction level (strength), defined a priori by the user. The proposed method obtains better results, measured in inverted generational distance, using small to medium populations (up to 850 solutions) of 30 to 100 objectives over DTLZ and WFG problems against the traditional weight vector definition used by MOEA/D-DE and results obtained by NSGA-III. The algorithm proposed in this paper aims at solving the problem of star map matching in high-limiting-magnitude astronomical images, which is inspired by geometric voting star identification techniques. It is a two-step star map matching algorithm relying only on angular features, and adopts a reasonable matching strategy to overcome the problem of poor real-time performance of the geometric voting algorithm when the number of stars is large. The algorithm focuses on application scenarios where there are a large number of dense stars (limiting magnitude greater than 13, average number of stars per square degree greater than 185) in the image, which is different from the sparse star identification problem of the star tracker, which is more challenging for the robustness and real-time performance of the algorithm. The proposed algorithm can be adapted to application scenarios such as unreliable brightness information, centroid positioning error, visual axis pointing deviation, and a large number of false stars, with high accuracy, robustness, and good real-time performance. Indoor localization has long been a challenging task due to the complexity and dynamism of indoor environments. This paper proposes ULG-SLAM, a novel unsupervised learning and geometric-based visual SLAM algorithm for robot localizability estimation to improve the accuracy and robustness of visual SLAM. Firstly, a dynamic feature filtering based on unsupervised learning and moving consistency checks is developed to eliminate the features of dynamic objects. Secondly, an improved line feature extraction algorithm based on LSD is proposed to optimize the effect of geometric feature extraction. Thirdly, geometric features are used to optimize localizability estimation, and an adaptive weight model and attention mechanism are built using the method of region delimitation and region growth. Finally, to verify the effectiveness and robustness of localizability estimation, multiple indoor experiments using the EuRoC dataset and TUM RGB-D dataset are conducted. Compared with ORBSLAM2, the experimental results demonstrate that absolute trajectory accuracy can be improved by 95% for equivalent processing speed in walking sequences. In fr3/walking_xyz and fr3/walking_half, ULG-SLAM tracks more trajectories than DS-SLAM, and the ATE RMSE is improved by 36% and 6%, respectively. It is becoming increasingly common for authoritarian regimes to leverage digital technologies to surveil, repress and manipulate their citizens. Experts typically refer to this practice as digital authoritarianism (DA). Existing definitions of DA consistently presuppose a politically repressive agent intentionally exploiting digital technologies to pursue authoritarian ends. I refer to this as the intention-based definition. This paper argues that this definition is untenable as a general description of DA. I begin by illustrating the current predominance of the intention-based definition (Section 2). Section 3 then presents four counterexamples to this definition: benign surveillance; digital sovereignty; attention-harvesting algorithms; and tech-induced loneliness. In each case, we witness authoritarianism being promoted by digital technologies without any evidence of this being intentionally caused by politically repressive agents. Based on these observations, I contend that the intention-based definition is underinclusive and is therefore unsustainable. Section 4 outlines an improved definition of DA – what I call the promotion-based definition. Since this more expansive definition does not posit intentional, politically repressive agency as a precondition of DA, it can accommodate the counterexamples discussed in Section 3. Moreover, it enables us to catch a broader spectrum of cases of DA, such as tech-induced loneliness, which those adhering to the intention-based definition are prone to overlook. After outlining further practical benefits of the promotion-based definition, I argue that we still need to distinguish between intentional and unintentional forms of DA since they call for distinct types of remedial action. Summary: Concurrent software needs to be maintained over time, and the differences between continuous versions tend to be localized. The expense that simply reapplying standard model checking techniques to the new version as they evolve may be infeasible. The existing methods reuse partial state‐space to reduce the scope. However, it is obviously costly to analyze on the explosive interleaving space of the evolving concurrent programs. The conservative change‐impact analysis methods without considering the specific property and leveraging the verified result from the prior version often results in exploring redundant state‐space irrelevant to this property. Moreover, the impact of the deleted elements needs to be analyzed on old version, and their impact needs to be mapped to new version, bringing some dispensable costs. In this paper, we propose a change‐aware model checking method based on program dependence net (PDNet) for linear temporal logic (LTL). We first propose an incremental modeling method to construct a PDNet of new version by modification rules. Then, we propose a reuse checking algorithm to judge whether the verified result can be reused based on the PDNet slice. Software projects grow larger every year, which, in turn, makes the testing process harder. One of the most useful methods for testing large projects is unit‐test generation. However, some tests can repeatedly cover the same parts of the code, making it difficult to maintain a growing test codebase. In software testing, test suite minimization plays a crucial role in reducing the cost of testing and improving the efficiency of the testing process. In this paper, we provide an extensible minimization engine that detects redundant tests using one of the supported minimization algorithms without changing the coverage metrics. We also performed a comprehensive analysis of existing approaches and techniques, developed an engine structure, and implemented multiple algorithms of different kinds. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic remains a significant threat, emphasizing the critical importance of mask-wearing to reduce infection risks. However, existing methods for mask detection encounter challenges such as identifying small targets and achieving high accuracy. In this paper, we present an enhanced YOLOv7 model tailored for mask-wearing detection. we employing a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) to augment the original dataset, introducing the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) mechanism into the YOLOv7 model to enhance its small target detection capabilities, and replacing the model's activation function with Parametric Rectified Linear Unit (FReLU) to improve overall performance. Experimental validation on a dataset showcases an average precision of 97.8% and a real-time inference speed of 64 frames per second (fps), meeting the real-time mask-wearing detection requirements effectively. Cooling systems provide a safe thermal environment for the reliable operation of IT equipment in data centers (DCs) while generating significant energy consumption. Therefore, to achieve energy savings in cooling system control under dynamic thermal distribution in DCs, this paper proposes a multi-setpoint cooling control approach based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL). Firstly, a thermal model based on the XGBoost algorithm is constructed to precisely evaluate the thermal distribution in the rack room to guide real-time cooling control. Secondly, a multi-set point cooling control approach based on the deep Q-network algorithm (DQN-MSP) is designed to finely regulate the supply air temperature of each air conditioner by capturing the thermal fluctuations to ensure the dynamic balance of cooling supply and demand. Finally, we adopt the extended CloudSimPy simulation tool and the real workload trace of the PlanetLab system to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of the proposed approach. The simulation results show that the proposed control solution effectively reduces the cooling energy consumption by over 2.4% by raising the average air supply temperature of the air conditioner while satisfying the thermal constraints. Evidence of cognition in aneural cells is well‐establish in the literature. This paper extends the exploration of the mechanisms of cognition by considering whether or not aneural cells may be capable of irrational cognition, making associations based on coincidental similarities and circumstantial factors. If aneural cells do harness such semiosic qualities, as with higher‐level creativity, this might be how they are able to overcome old algorithms and invent tools for new situations. I will look at three examples of irrational learning in aneural systems in terms of semiotics: (1) generalisation in the immune system, based on viral molecular mimicry, whereby immune cells attack the self, which seems to be an overgeneralisation of an icon sign based on mere similarity, not identity, (2) the classical conditioning of pea plants to trope toward wind as a sign of light, which seems to be an association of an index sign based on mere temporal proximity, and (3) a pharmaceutical intervention to prevent pregnancy, using a conjugate to encrypt self with non‐self, which seems to be an example of symbol use. This paper proposes a new algorithm based on sensitivity analysis and the Wolfe method to solve a sequence of parametric quadratic programming (QP) problems such as those that arise in quadratic model predictive control (QMPC). The Wolfe method, based on Karush–Kuhn–Tucker conditions, has been used to convert parametric QP problems to parametric linear programming (LP) problems, and then the sensitivity analysis is applied to solve the sequence of the parametric LP problems. This strategy obtains sensitivity analysis‐based QMPC (SA‐QMPC) algorithm. It is proved that the computational complexity of SA‐QMPC is O(Nn2)$O(Nn^2)$ for a region of the initial conditions and O(N2n2)$O(N^2n^2)$ for sufficiently small sampling time and all initial conditions, where N$N$ and n$n$ are the horizon time and dimension of the state vector, respectively. In wireless sensor networks, location information is crucial to effectively use the event information recorded by the sensors. However, localizing mobile sensor nodes in resource-constrained networks presents several challenges, including determining the optimal number of anchor nodes, handling mobility, designing a path loss model, considering network topology, and addressing scalability and the number of localized nodes. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes a coordinate-based auto-localization algorithm (CALA) with a single anchor node for mobile sensor nodes. The proposed algorithm uses an analytical model to determine the location of the target node by considering a parallel coordinate system and retrieving the original location of the target node by moving it to two different locations. The algorithm uses received signal strength indicator (RSSI) values for distance calculation while considering Rayleigh fading in the path loss model. The proposed algorithm's performance is evaluated using various parameter settings, including mobility, node density, fading, path loss exponent, and different random seed values. The study finds that fading and path loss significantly influence the localization process, leading to an accuracy range of 10 to 30% when measuring distances using RSSI. The proposed method shows a 30% improvement in localization accuracy when the number of nodes increases from 5 to 20, achieving an average localization accuracy of 90% in a network with 20 sensor nodes. Furthermore, the study offers an in-depth investigation of the effect of various random generating situations on localization accuracy. As a significant branch of production scheduling problem, the Flexibility Job Shop Scheduling Problem (FJSP) is a typical NP-hard problem. Most conventional flexible workshop scheduling primarily focuses on performance aspects involving production efficiency such as time and quality. In recent years, due to increased energy costs and environmental pollution, 'low-carbon scheduling' has garnered attention as a new scheduling paradigm among scholars and engineers. This paper investigates a low-carbon flexible Job shop scheduling problem, proposing a Grey Wolf Optimization algorithm (SC-GWO), aiming to minimize the sum of carbon emission costs and makespan costs. This algorithm employs the Grey Wolf Algorithm (GWO) as the fundamental optimization method, adaptively choosing between global and local searches based on the dispersion degree of individuals. Firstly, integrating the Sine Cosine Algorithm (SCA), the sinusoidal cosine search mechanism is applied to GWO to enhance its local search capability. Secondly, a new leader selection mechanism is introduced to prevent leaders from falling into local optima, thus improving the algorithm's global exploration capability. Utilizing a nonlinear convergence factor strategy controls the global exploration and local exploitation capabilities in different algorithm stages, enhancing optimization accuracy and accelerating convergence, achieving a dynamic balance between the two. Finally, validation of the SC-GWO algorithm's ability to solve low-carbon scheduling problems in flexible job shop scheduling instances is conducted. Experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of SC-GWO in solving low-carbon flexible workshop scheduling instances. Comparative experiments against four other advanced algorithms on 22 classic benchmark test functions confirm SC-GWO's better convergence. Through standard test functions like Bandimarte instances applied to solve FJSP, experimental results showcase the excellent optimization performance of SC-GWO. Compared to HGWO and GWO, the makespan time is reduced by 22.25% and 39.27%, respectively. This paper proposes the Love Evolution Algorithm (LEA), a novel evolutionary algorithm inspired by the stimulus–value–role theory. The optimization process of the LEA includes three phases: stimulus, value, and role. Both partners evolve through these phases and benefit from them regardless of the outcome of the relationship. This inspiration is abstracted into mathematical models for global optimization. The efficiency of the LEA is validated through numerical experiments with CEC2017 benchmark functions, outperforming seven metaheuristic algorithms as evidenced by the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the Friedman test. Further tests using the CEC2022 benchmark functions confirm the competitiveness of the LEA compared to seven state-of-the-art metaheuristics. One of the most important strategies used to mitigate the adverse impacts of traffic growth on mobile networks is caching. By caching at the edge, the backhaul traffic load is reduced, and the quality of service for the user is increased. Developing an effective caching algorithm requires accurate prediction of the future popularity of the content, which is a challenging issue. In recent years, deep learning models have achieved high predictive accuracy due to advancements in data availability and increased computing power. In this paper, we present a caching algorithm called the user preference-aware content caching algorithm (UPACA). This algorithm is specifically designed for an edge content delivery platform where users can access content services provided by a remote content provider. UPACA operates in two steps. In the first step, the proposed collaborative filtering-based popularity prediction algorithm (CFPA) is used to predict future content popularities. CFPA utilizes a gated residual variational autoencoder collaborative filtering model to predict users' future preferences and calculate the future popularity of content. This algorithm considers the popularity of the content as well as the number and timing of content requests. In this paper, we present three algorithms for simulation of intervals of stationary vector and scalar sequences with partial distributions of their subsequences of fixed length in the form of a mixture of Gaussian distributions. The first algorithm is based on superposition of two Gaussian vector processes and the second and third ones use the method of conditional distributions and the method of superpositions to simulate the mixtures and to select realizations for approximate construction of conditional realizations. The printing company's process performance depends on the possibility of providing requested products and managing the existing constraints of fixed machine layouts and high setup times between different products. Process inefficiencies caused by these factors reflect on throughput, production times, and resource utilization. This paper presents a decision-making approach grounded in rough set theory and evidential reasoning to address the demand for expert decision-making in greenhouse environmental control systems. Furthermore, a decision-making model is developed by integrating the D-S evidence theory with an expert knowledge table for greenhouse environmental control systems. The model's reasoning process encompasses continuous attribute discretization, expert decision table formation, attribute reduction, and evidence combination reasoning. Firstly, the fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm is employed to discretize the original environmental data and cluster it. Subsequently, an attribute reduction algorithm based on information entropy is utilized to optimize the decision table by eliminating unnecessary conditional attributes in expert knowledge. The reduced indicators are then combined using evidential theory. Finally, suitable greenhouse control methods are determined by the confidence decision proposed by the D-S evidence theory. To assess the efficacy of this intelligent decision-making algorithm based on rough set and D-S evidence theory, its performance is compared with traditional SVM algorithms and small-shot learning algorithms. The results indicate that this proposed method significantly enhances the credibility of control decision-making processes, with an average running time of 0.002378s for the fusion decision algorithm and 0.017939s for the support vector machine (SVM) algorithm, respectively. The SVM accuracy rate after testing and training stands at 90.34%. Moreover, retraining based on information entropy attribute reduction leads to a correct decision rate increase of up to 100%. The progressive iterative approximation (PIA) is a versatile method for interpolating or fitting a given data set. The convergence behavior of PIA plays a pivotal role in determining the computational efficiency of data interpolation or fitting. Nowadays, Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) gains more attraction due to its seamless and dynamic use. The existing methods in MANET are plagued by some weaknesses, like higher computation time, undermining their real-time responsiveness. Whereas, lower accuracy in intrusion detection compromises the reliability of these systems, potentially leading to missed threats posing a challenge for effective security measures in dynamic MANET environments. To mitigate these weaknesses, an Auto Metric Graph Neural Network optimized with Woodpecker Mating Algorithm is proposed in this paper for detecting Network Layer Attack in MANET (AGNN-WMA-DNLA-MANET). Initially, the data are gathered from CIC-IDS 2019 dataset. The gathered data undergoes pre-processing to eliminate redundancy and missing values replacement using the Local Least Squares method. Afterward, the preprocessing output is fed to AGNN for classification, which classifies the attack as active, passive, or normal. Then, Woodpecker Mating Algorithm (WMA) is proposed to optimize the AGNN weight parameters to ensure the accurate classification. The proposed technique is executed in NS2 tool. The metrics, like accuracy, false positive rate (FPR) and attack detection rate (ADR), computation time, and RoC is analyzed. The proposed AGNN-WMA-DNLA-MANET approach provides 14.68%, 7.142%, and 4.65% higher accuracy for active attack, 15.19%, 2.77%, and 9.85% higher accuracy for passive attack and 38.18%, 12.02%, and 7.59% better accuracy for normal compared with existing methods, such as Dependable intrusion detection scheme under deep convolutional neural network (DCNN-MANET), deep learning-based intrusion detection scheme for MANET (AE-DNN-MANET), and Benchmarking of machine learning for anomaly based intrusion detection scheme (ML-MANET), respectively. In this paper, a new method based on the Tufts–Kumaresan (TK) algorithm is used to process nonstationary signals and extract system modes. This new algorithm for mode estimation is proposed to improve estimation accuracy under dynamic conditions. The key contribution in TK is the use of multiple orthogonal sliding windows rather than a single pair of sliding windows. Simulation results under various scenarios, such as different types of faults and load changes are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The proposed method will accurately extract system modes. This method will also reduce the required memory and the calculation time of estimation in nonstationary signals. In complement to successful applications in studying the dynamic behavior of the power system, identifying and analyzing low-frequency electromechanical oscillations, and removing signal noise, this method can accurately estimate the modes of a power system. To validate the accuracy of the proposed method, the Wavelet and the Prony methods have been used for comparison. Collision accidents of construction vehicles frequently occur during the construction of building projects. It is difficult to warn of collision risk efficiently by using the safety control methods of on-site inspection and viewing surveillance video. Therefore, a novel collision risk warning model for construction vehicles is proposed in this paper. The model comprises a state awareness module and a collision risk assessment module. In the state awareness module, the YOLOv7 algorithm is used to identify and locate construction vehicles. The DeepSORT algorithm is used for the real-time tracking of construction vehicles. Finally, the state awareness module obtains a wealth of sensing information and provides it to the collision risk assessment module. In the collision risk assessment module, the speed assessment method and the minimum safety distance assessment method of construction vehicles are innovatively proposed and compiled. In the speed assessment method, the speed of construction vehicles is calculated and speeding warnings are performed using the transformation matrix between latitude and longitude coordinates and image pixel coordinates. In the minimum safety distance assessment method, the original surveillance picture is converted into a bird's eye view (BEV) of the world coordinate system through inverse perspective mapping (IPM). Then the distance of all construction vehicles is traversed, and the visual warning of the minimum safe distance is provided. The effectiveness and robustness of this collision risk warning model were verified by taking three practical projects in different construction stages as examples. The research results show that the mean average precision (mAP@0.5:0.95) of the construction vehicles collision risk warning model can reach 89.10%, and it has a good tracking effect and an efficient collision risk warning strategy. Cloud data centers face various challenges, such as high energy consumption, environmental impact, and quality of service (QoS) requirements. Dynamic virtual machine (VM) consolidation is an effective approach to address these challenges, but it is a complex optimization problem that involves trade-offs between energy efficiency and QoS satisfaction. Moreover, the workload patterns in cloud data centers are often non-stationary and unpredictable, which makes it difficult to model them. In this paper, we propose a new method for dynamic VM consolidation that optimizes both energy efficiency and QoS objectives. Our approach is based on Markov chains and the artificial feeding birds (AFB) algorithm. Markov chains are used to model the resource utilization of each individual VM and PM based on the changes that happen in workload data. AFB algorithm is a metaheuristic optimization technique that mimics the behavior of birds in nature. We modify the AFB algorithm to suit the characteristics of the VM placement problem and to provide QoS-aware and energy-efficient solutions. Our approach also employs an online step detection method to capture variations in workload patterns. Furthermore, we introduce a new policy for VM selection from overloaded hosts, which considers the abrupt changes in the utilization processes of the VMs. The proposed algorithms are evaluated extensively using the CloudSim Toolkit with real workload data. In this paper, we study a discrete momentum consensus-based optimization (Momentum-CBO) algorithm which corresponds to a second-order generalization of the discrete first-order CBO [S.-Y. Ha, S. Jin and D. Kim, Convergence of a first-order consensus-based global optimization algorithm, Math. Models Methods Appl. Sci. 30 (2020) 2417–2444]. The proposed algorithm can be understood as the modification of ADAM-CBO, replacing the normalization term by unity. For the proposed Momentum-CBO, we provide a sufficient framework which guarantees the convergence of algorithm toward a global minimum of the objective function. Moreover, we present several experimental results showing that Momentum-CBO has an improved success rate of finding the global minimum compared to vanilla-CBO and show the stability of Momentum-CBO under different initialization schemes. This paper presents a novel hybrid algorithm based on CMOGWO-ADNSGA-II to solve the vibration stability problem during the operation of a EMS-type maglev train dynamics model subjected to strong non-linear magnetic buoyancy. The proposed algorithm optimizes the control system parameters of EMS-type maglev train suspensions by combining an improved multi-objective chaotic grey wolf algorithm (CMOGWO) with an improved non-dominated Sorting genetic algorithm-II (ADNSGA-II) to enhance the search capability of the algorithm and ensure population diversity. The efficacy of the algorithm is demonstrated by applying it to the EMS-type maglev train suspension frame control system to find the optimal control parameters. Experimental results show that the system with the optimal parameters applied significantly reduces the suspension gap amplitude and the corresponding standard deviation, as well as the vertical acceleration amplitude and the corresponding standard deviation during operation. Diffeomorphic registration is a widely used technique for finding a smooth and invertible transformation between two coordinate systems, which are measured using template and reference images. The point-wise volume-preserving constraint det ⁡ (∇ φ (x)) = 1 is effective in some cases, but may be too restrictive in others, especially when local deformations are relatively large. This can result in poor matching when enforcing large local deformations. In this paper, we propose a new bi-variant diffeomorphic image registration model that introduces a soft constraint on the Jacobian equation det ⁡ (∇ φ (x)) = f (x) > 0. This allows local deformations to shrink and grow within a flexible range 0 < κ m < det ⁡ (∇ φ (x)) < κ M. The Jacobian determinant of transformation is explicitly controlled by optimizing the relaxation function f (x). To prevent deformation folding and improve the smoothness of the transformation, a positive constraint is imposed on the optimization of the relaxation function f (x) , and a regularizer is used to ensure the smoothness of f (x). Furthermore, the positivity constraint ensures that f (x) is as close to one as possible, which helps to achieve a volume-preserving transformation on average. We also analyze the existence of the minimizer for the variational model and propose a penalty-splitting algorithm with a multilevel strategy to solve this model. Numerical experiments demonstrate the convergence of the proposed algorithm and show that the positivity constraint can effectively control the range of relative volume without compromising the accuracy of the registration. This paper compares various angle-tracking algorithms to balance the performance and noise for a steering-by-wire (SBW) system. Direct and quiet steering experiences can improve drivers' acceptance of the SBW system. Linear quadratic regulator (LQR) control, robust control, and conventional cascade proportional–integral (PI) control have been developed and compared both theoretically and experimentally. To avoid the risky and time-consuming parameter-tuning process, a high-fidelity steering resistance model, which comprises a linear two-degree-of-freedom vehicle model and a dynamic LuGre friction model is established. Step and sine wave tests are simulated in a Matlab/Simulink environment to determine the reasonable parameter region for various methods. Then, the three types of algorithms are implemented on a prototype SBW vehicle and compared under the same scenarios. Finally, the simulated and experimental results are illustrated in detail. According to the indicators of control bandwidths, steady-state errors, cockpit sounds, and current waveforms, it is clear that LQR and robust control can achieve faster response and more acceptable noise, with uncertain and relatively larger tracking errors. Optimization of scheduling problems that involve single or multiple machines with a multimodal objective function and linear or non-linear constraints are generally NP-Hard. The Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm is a metaheuristic proposed about eighteen years ago and has gained popularity in the swarm intelligence-based evolutionary computation approaches. Various scheduling requirements in diverse domains viz. Electric Vehicle charging, Operating Room, Nurse, Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV), production, manufacturing, hydrothermal, Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and call centre scheduling are studied. The NP-Hard nature of these scheduling problems render exact methods incompetent for large problem instances thus requiring meta-heuristics such as ABC to produce feasible solutions in a reasonable computation time. The adaptation of ABC in these domains and the outcomes and performance of ABC are highlighted. Based on the case studies, it is found that the requirements of scheduling problems that would benefit from ABC are those that have a planning horizon requiring a near-optimal solution in a reasonably fast time when run on minimal computing capacity. Future works that would merit the application and enhancement of existing ABC techniques are proposed. The exponential increase in Internet-facing devices in the last decade has resulted in IP address exhaustion due to the limitations of the existing IPv4 address space. Therefore, the Internet Engineering Task Force engineered a new version of the Internet protocol known as Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) to resolve the issue. However, IPv6 is highly dependent on the neighbor discovery protocol (NDP), which, unfortunately, has well-known vulnerabilities in its underlying messaging protocol, the Internet Control Message Protocol version 6. So, the NDP flaws leave the IPv6 network open to many security threats and attacks, including man-in-the-middle, spoofing, and denial-of-service attacks, which are the most annoying attack at the network layer. Unfortunately, one of the critical issues plaguing the existing anomaly-based detection system is the effectiveness of detecting NDP-based DDoS attacks, which requires urgent attention. This paper suggests a system to find network traffic patterns that are not normal that are caused by NDP-based attacks. It does this by teaching neural networks how to recognize network attack patterns using the backpropagation algorithm. The proposed system is a big step forward from where the field is now because it uses a complex neural network algorithm to create an NDP anomaly-based detection system. Using a real dataset to test the proposed system's performance shows that it can find NDP anomalies with a 99.95% success rate, a 99.92% precision rate, a 99.98% recall rate, an F1-Score of 99.98%, and a 0.040% false positive rate. In this paper, we present an underdetermined estimation algorithm for two-dimensional (2-D) direction of arrival (DOA) based on three-parallel co-prime arrays. By exploiting the correlation among the received signals in both the time and spatial domains, a conjugate augmented spatial–temporal virtual array is constructed, which significantly increases the degrees of freedom (DOF) and expands the array aperture, effectively filling the holes within the physical array. By vectorizing the covariance matrix obtained from the spatial–temporal virtual array, we can transform the 2-D DOA estimation problem into a one-dimensional (1-D) sparse recovery problem. Thereafter, the excellent gridless methods: sparse and parametric approach (SPA) and the matrix pencil and pairing (MAPP), are adopted to efficiently resolve the 1-D sparse recovery problem, enabling the automatic pairing of the 2-D angles. This paper introduces a novel algorithm for optimizing the coefficients of the digital filters used in incremental delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters (IDSC). This algorithm is modified from constrained linear least squares (LS) to improve the signal-to-noise-and-distortion ratio (SNDR) of IDSC and minimize the oversampling rate (OSR) of the modulator, which enhances system speed and reduces power consumption. In the case of the same SNDR, the first-order IDSC with the proposed filter can reduce the OSR of the modulator by 50%, at least compared to the IDSC with the conventional filter. The second-order IDSC with the proposed filter can reach a higher SNDR of 106 dB with an OSR of 64. Considering the nonlinearity of the integrator, the SNDR of IDSC with the proposed filter is also 10 dB greater than that of the conventional filters and 3dB greater than that of the IDSC using the near-optimal algorithm filter. The controlled autoregressive autoregressive moving average (CARARMA) models are of popularity to describe the evolution characteristics of dynamical systems. To overcome the identification obstacle resulting from colored noises, this paper studies the identification of the CARARMA models by forming an intermediate correlated noise model. In order to realize the real-time prediction function of the models, the on-line identification scheme is developed by constructing the dynamical objective functions based on the real-time sampled observations. Firstly, a rolling optimization cost function is built based on the observation at a single sampling instant to catch the modal information at a single time point and a generalized extended stochastic gradient (GESG) algorithm is proposed through the stochastic gradient optimization. Secondly, a rolling window cost function is built in accordance with the dynamical batch observations within data window by extending the proposed GESG algorithm and the multi-innovation generalized extended stochastic gradient algorithm is derived. Thirdly, from the perspective of theoretical analysis, the convergence proof of the proposed algorithm is provided based on the stochastic martingale convergence theory. This paper presents a new method to efficiently update workpiece and determine cutter-workpiece engagement (CWE) in multi-axis milling simulation based on a uniform voxel modeling space. At each cutter location, a novel algorithm named direct voxel tracing is developed and used to generate a functional cutter surface voxel model to reliably establish the internal space of the milling cutter. The cutter internal space is represented by its voxel boundary with small memory usage. Through the Boolean subtraction between two successive voxel boundaries of the cutter internal space, a minimal voxel deactivation region is attained within which all active workpiece voxels are deactivated (removed) to update the workpiece model. To determine the associated CWE map, a 3D circle voxelization algorithm is employed. By slicing the cutter surface by a sequence of planes perpendicular to and along the cutter axis, CWE can be determined as the sliced 3D circles are voxelized. Quantitative comparisons of the proposed method against existing voxel modeling and vector modeling-based methods have been made. In this paper, we devise a stochastic extragradient-like algorithm incorporated with inertial terms, which requires a single projection onto our feasible set and employs a stochastic approximation version of an Armijo-type line search scheme along a feasible direction, for solving pseudomonotone stochastic variational inequalities. In the algorithm, two different stepsize strategies are employed to update steplength sequences without using the prior knowledge of the Lipschitz constant of involved operators. In the process of the stochastic approximation, we iteratively reduce the variance of stochastic errors. The almost sure convergence, the complexity analysis, and rates are provided in a dimensional space under reasonable conditions. Finally, some numerical experiments with graphical illustrations are reported to demonstrate the applicability and the efficiency of our algorithm in comparison with some projection type methods in the literature. Optimal dispatch in power systems is a complex mathematical model of nonlinear programming with many physical constraints, which is difficult to solve by conventional methods. Thus, intelligent algorithms are now viable options for resolving the nonlinear scheduling issues of microgrids. In this paper, we propose a double-layer optimization strategy based on the multi-point improved gray wolf algorithm (MPIGWO). The inner layer optimizes load profiles with time-of-use tariffs. The outer one achieves a fast search for the optimal solution and prevents getting stuck in a local optimum, which improves the gray wolf algorithm significantly. First, the Bernoulli map is used to randomly generate the initial population. Second, the efficiency of optimization can be improved by modifying the attenuation factor based on the Sin function and then updating the exact weight factor of the position to reasonably select the best position. Finally, an improved dimensional learning-based hunting (IDLH) search strategy is employed to determine the optimal solution. The numerical case study shows that the proposed double-layer optimization strategy can implement dynamic scheduling for distributed power sources while lowering the costs of economic operation and environmental protection significantly. In this paper we provide a tetrahedra-free algorithm to compute low-cardinality quadrature rules with a given degree of polynomial exactness, positive weights and interior nodes on a polyhedral element with arbitrary shape. The key tools are the notion of Tchakaloff discretization set and the solution of moment-matching equations by Lawson-Hanson iterations for NonNegative Least-Squares. Mesh size dependency caused by strain localization is an ongoing problem in numerical simulations using the finite element method. In order to solve this problem, the concept of including the characteristic element length for regularization is used in the literature. The estimation of the characteristic element length is not a straightforward task since normally the characteristic element length differs from one element to another in the simulation and depends not only on element geometry but also on fracture plane orientation and material orientation. In this paper, an innovative method is proposed to estimate the characteristic element length which works on the orthogonal projection of elements on the fracture plane. The method is implemented in Abaqus/Explicit finite element solver and is verified using simple and more complex load cases such as tensile specimens, open hole specimens, and low-velocity impact. A good correlation between the numerical and experimental results in all of the studied cases was achieved and the proposed method proved to be effective in reducing mesh sensitivity. The use of the volumetric method from the literature for the simulation of open-hole tensile specimens led to more than 25% increase in the estimation of specimen strength while similar values of strength for different element aspect ratios were achieved with the proposed method. Estimating clean seismic signals from noisy single‐channel records is a hot research topic in the field of microseismic data processing. Due to the existence of strong random noise, the signal‐to‐noise ratio of such data is low, presenting a challenge for signal restoration. In this paper, we propose a denoising method of microseismic data based on a single‐channel phase space reconstruction and independent component analysis algorithm. Specifically, we first apply the phase space reconstruction to transform the one‐dimensional seismic signal into a high‐dimensional phase space in which signal and noise have different trajectories. We then employ independent component analysis to the reconstructed data for noise separation. Experimental results on real microseismic data verify that our proposed denoising method is useful for noise suppression and can enhance the signal‐to‐noise ratio of data, which can be further used for signal identification and event positioning in microseismic monitoring.
