To enhance the utilization of clean energy sources, such as wind power and photovoltaic within virtual power plants, and mitigate carbon emissions, this paper proposes a virtual power plant participation in the electricity carbon joint market optimization operation model based on ensemble empirical mode decomposition–improved bat algorithm (IBA)–Markov chain new energy output prediction. First, complementary set empirical mode decomposition is performed on historical data to construct a Markov chain based wind power and photovoltaic prediction model optimized by IBA. Second, this prediction model is used to predict the daily generation power of wind power and photovoltaic power. Finally, with the optimization goals of maximizing the benefits and minimizing the carbon costs of virtual power plants, a virtual power plant system participating in the electricity carbon joint market model based on wind power and photovoltaic output prediction results is constructed. At the same time, demand response factors are introduced and solved using the NSGA-II algorithm. Taking a certain park as an example for simulation analysis, the research results show that the combined effect of carbon market and demand response can achieve 99.82% of new energy consumption in virtual power plants without significantly reducing profits, basically achieving complete new energy consumption, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed model in this paper. In order to cope with the problems of energy shortage and environmental pollution, carbon emissions need to be reduced and so the structure of the power grid is constantly being optimized. Traditional centralized power networks are not as capable of controlling and distributing non-renewable energy as distributed power grids. Therefore, the optimal dispatch of microgrids faces increasing challenges. This paper proposes a multi-strategy fusion slime mould algorithm (MFSMA) to tackle the microgrid optimal dispatching problem. Traditional swarm intelligence algorithms suffer from slow convergence, low efficiency, and the risk of falling into local optima. The MFSMA employs reverse learning to enlarge the search space and avoid local optima to overcome these challenges. Furthermore, adaptive parameters ensure a thorough search during the algorithm iterations. The focus is on exploring the solution space in the early stages of the algorithm, while convergence is accelerated during the later stages to ensure efficiency and accuracy. The salp swarm algorithm's search mode is also incorporated to expedite convergence. MFSMA and other algorithms are compared on the benchmark functions, and the test showed that the effect of MFSMA is better. Simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of the MFSMA for function optimization, particularly in solving the 24 h microgrid optimal scheduling problem. This problem considers multiple energy sources such as wind turbines, photovoltaics, and energy storage. A microgrid model based on the MFSMA is established in this paper. Simulation of the proposed algorithm reveals its ability to enhance energy utilization efficiency, reduce total network costs, and minimize environmental pollution. The measures needed to limit global warming pose a particular challenge to current fossil fuel exporters, who must not only decarbonise their local energy systems, but also compensate for the expected decline in fossil fuel revenues. One possibility is seen in the export of green hydrogen. Using Algeria as a case study, this paper analyses how different levels of ambition in hydrogen exports, energy efficiency and fuel switching affect the cost-optimal expansion of the power sector for a given overall emissions reduction path. Despite falling costs for photovoltaics and wind turbines, the results indicate that in countries with very low natural gas prices, such as Algeria, a fully renewable electricity system by 2050 is unlikely without appropriate policy measures. The expansion of renewable energy should therefore start early, given the high annual growth rates required, which will be reinforced by additional green hydrogen exports. In parallel, energy efficiency is a key factor as it directly mitigates CO2 emissions from fossil fuels and reduces domestic electricity demand, which could instead be used for hydrogen production. Integrating electrolysers into the power system could potentially help to reduce specific costs through load shifting. Overall, it seems advisable to analyse hydrogen exports together with local decarbonisation in order to better understand their interactions and to reduce emissions as efficiently as possible. Purpose: To solve the shortcomings of existed search and rescue drones, search and rescue the trapped people trapped in earthquake ruins, underwater and avalanches quickly and accurately, this paper aims to propose a four-axis eight-rotor rescue unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) which can carry a radar life detector. As the design of propeller is the key to the design of UAV, this paper mainly designs the propeller of the UAV at the present stage. Design/methodology/approach: Based on the actual working conditions of UAVs, this paper preliminarily estimated the load of UAVs and the diameters of propellers and designed the main parameters of propellers according to the leaf element theory and momentum theory. Based on the low Reynolds number airfoil, this paper selected the airfoil with high lift drag ratio from the commonly used low Reynolds number airfoils. The chord length and twist angle of propeller blades were calculated according to the Wilson method and the maximum wind energy utilization coefficient and were optimized by the Asymptotic exponential function. The aerodynamic characteristics of the designed single propeller and coaxial propeller under different installation pitch angles and different installation distances were analyzed. Findings: The results showed that the design of coaxial twin propellers can increase the load capacity by about 1.5 times without increasing the propeller diameter. When the installation distance between the two propellers was 8 cm and the tilt angle was 15° counterclockwise, the aerodynamic characteristics of the coaxial propeller were optimal. Originality/value: The novelty of this work came from the conceptual design of the new rescue UAV and its numerical optimization using the Wilson method combined with the maximum wind energy utilization factor and the exponential function. With the continuous development of large-scale wind and photovoltaic power worldwide, the net load fluctuation of systems is increasing, thereby imposing higher demands for power supply assurance and new energy consumption capacity within emerging power systems. It is imperative to establish a quantifiable and efficient model for planning new power systems, to propose an analytical approach for determining optimal evolutionary paths, and to advance research on flexible resource planning across wide areas. In this paper, based on the simplified operating characteristics of multi-type flexible resources, a source-grid-load-storage collaborative planning and evolution analysis framework is established. Secondly, the lowest total cost of the whole life cycle of the system is taken as the optimization goal, the multiple flexible resource investment decisions and production operation constraints of various flexible resources on all sides of the system are considered, and the source-grid-load-storage planning model is established. Then, through the investment decision-making strategy setting of the system in different planning level years, the evolutionary path analysis method of the whole life cycle economy and weighted environmental protection benefit of the system is given. Finally, by taking the sending-end power grid in Gansu Province as an example, a case study is carried out. Calculations of new energy, key channels within the province, energy storage capacity, and load-side response capacity requirements for 2025, 2030, and 2060 are optimized. Based on the above analysis, the optimal evolution path of the power grid is proposed. When considering the weighted benefits of economy and environmental protection, the greater the weight of environmental protection benefits, the greater the possibility of choosing a radical scheme. Short-term wind power forecasting has difficult problems due to the very large variety of speeds of the wind, which is a key factor in producing energy. From the point of view of the whole country, an important problem is predicting the total impact of wind power's contribution to the country's energy demands for succeeding days. Accordingly, efficient planning of classical power sources may be made for the next day. This paper will investigate this direction of research. Based on historical data, a few neural network predictors will be combined into an ensemble that is responsible for the next day's wind power generation. The problem is difficult since wind farms are distributed in large regions of the country, where different wind conditions exist. Moreover, the information on wind speed is not available. This paper proposes and compares different structures of an ensemble combined from three neural networks. The best accuracy has been obtained with the application of an MLP combiner. The results of numerical experiments have shown a significant reduction in prediction errors compared to the naïve approach. The ageing of coal-fired power stations in South Africa has led to regular power outages. Therefore, the country will need to urgently increase its electricity capacity to meet further energy demand from growing urbanization and population growth. This challenge has increased interest in alternative energy sources, such as renewable energy (RE). South Africa is gradually implementing appropriate renewable energy practices, reducing carbon emissions, cleansing the air, and assuring a more sustainable future. This paper summarizes the availability, current state, and future potential of renewable energy choices in South Africa. This paper also evaluates specific policy measures and government actions aimed at eliminating barriers and increasing renewable energy deployment in the future. It also considers the South African network's specialized techno-economic analysis. The findings show that South Africa is still heavily reliant on coal, with 78% of the current installed capacity coming from coal power in 2022, compared to 9.3% for solar and wind energy. Power generation by variable renewable energy (VRE) is expected to expand for decarbonization, although it is difficult to ensure stabilization of the energy demand due to fluctuations in the power output from VRE. To accelerate VRE implementation, wind-powered thermal energy systems (WT th -ES), which can provide dispatchable power using wind–thermal energy converter (WEC th) and thermal energy storage (TES), have been proposed. In this study, we are tackling the installation of VRE, i.e., wind energy, by TES with WEC th compared with wind turbine (WT p) in paper mills to demonstrate the applicability of TES in an industrial sector. Conventional and alternative energy systems in paper mills with TES were mathematically modeled and simulated to analyze the transmittable power output and the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by life cycle assessment. With the installation of TES and wind energy, transmittable power could be increased with GHG emissions reduction. However, their excess installation or unbalanced combination resulted in an increase in GHG emissions and a decrease in transmittable power. Demand-side flexible load resources, such as Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Air Conditioners (ACs), offer significant potential for enhancing flexibility in the power system, thereby promoting the full integration of renewable energy. To this end, this paper proposes an optimal allocation method for demand-side flexible resources to enhance renewable energy consumption. Firstly, the adjustable flexibility of these resources is modeled based on the generalized energy storage model. Secondly, we generate random scenarios for wind, solar, and load, considering variable correlations based on non-parametric probability predictions of random variables combined with Copula function sampling. Next, we establish the optimal allocation model for demand-side flexible resources, considering the simulated operation of these random scenarios. Finally, we optimize the demand-side resource transformation plan year by year based on the growth trend forecast results of renewable energy installed capacity in Jiangsu Province from 2025 to 2031. Decentralized offshore wind power to hydrogen production is one of the potential solutions for wind energy utilization in deep sea area, of which the electrolysis is integrated with the wind turbine, so that how to gather and transport the produced hydrogen from the decentralized wind turbines to the processing terminals becomes very crucial. This paper focuses on this topic and proposes a mixed-integer linear programming model to optimize the layout of the "ship+pipe" transmission system, aiming at minimizing the average annual total cost. Through the model, the locations and sizes of hydrogen gathering platforms, their allocations with wind turbines, the shipping routes could all be figured out. Two aspects of contributions are made in this work. First, the concept of "Pipe + Ship" transmission mode is proposed, providing a feasible solution for offshore hydrogen transportation with long distance; Second, the proposed model integrates subsea pipe network and the sea level shipping route as a whole system, revealing their interactions. In this paper, we present a novel DILTS algorithm that uses a new approach inspired by the energy efficiency of dragonflies. The algorithm optimizes the energy-harvesting mechanisms in IoT devices, inspired by the way dragonflies use wind energy to fly. A sophisticated algorithm optimizes power consumption during task execution, saving energy and speeding up tasks while maintaining the application throughput. The algorithm leverages lazy task scheduling (LTS) to enhance task execution performance. The proposed algorithm evaluates the energy levels of each task and implements an LTS method. This LTS approach improves performance and task management by streamlining scheduling data and reducing overhead. The LTS model reliably optimizes the energy across microbenchmarks and real-time IoT devices. To assess the efficiency and practicality of our algorithm, we compared it to four alternatives. Our novel algorithm outperformed the others with a chip area of 856 μm2, performance speed of 7.11 ns, scheduling accuracy of 94%, and response time of 2.61 ns. Our simulations showed that our proposed method reduced energy consumption by up to 10.02% compared to existing methods. We evaluated the performance of the algorithms on a Zynq 7000 FPGA using the Xilinx Vivado platform via simulations. Our novel algorithm can improve the energy efficiency of green data centers. Wind propulsion systems (WPS) for commercial ships can be a key ingredient to achieving the IMO green targets. Most WPS installations will operate in conjunction with propellers and marine engines in a hybrid mode, which will affect their performance. The present paper presents the development of a generic, fast, and easy tool to predict the propeller and engine performance variation, along with the cost, as a function of the wind power installed in two operation conditions: fixed ship speed and constant shaft speed. Specific focus is directed toward showing generic trends and trade-offs that inform economic decision-making. To this end, a key feature of the presented work is the ability to assess the cost–benefit of both controllable pitch propellers and fixed pitch propellers (CPPs and FPPs). This provides advice on when, in terms of WPS installation size, it is worthwhile to install which kind of propeller. CPPs are found to be more suitable for newly built wind-powered ships (>70% wind power), while a conventional FPP is satisfactory for wind-assisted ships (<70% wind power) and retrofitted installations. The results for a 91,373 GT bulk carrier showed that a WPS unloads the propeller and the engine, which leads to an increase in the propulsive efficiency and a detrimental rise of the engine specific fuel oil consumption. However, propeller gains are found to be greater than engine losses, which result in extra savings. The need for environmentally-friendly energy generation and massive exploitation of fossil fuels are leading to the increased demand for renewable energy sources like photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy, etc. The fluctuating behaviour of PV causes various disadvantages, of which the generation of Inter-harmonics is the major problem. The production of Inter-harmonics by the load-interfacing inverters is primarily due to the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) techniques employed in PV system. The requirement of multiple perturbations in tracking peak points is the primary cause behind the inter-harmonic generation. Since solar irradiation varies throughout a specific period, there can be situations, where the operating irradiance changes abruptly from one state to the other. These abrupt changes generate enormous fluctuations in the MPPT power output, resulting in an inter-harmonics generation. This paper proposes an evolved INter-HARmonic-Elimination (INHARE) algorithm for minimizing the PV fluctuating behaviour, leading to lower voltage ripple and settling time. The proposed INHARE algorithm is examined for a 0.52 kW PV system, where the Inter-harmonics content is reduced considerably in load current for the case of varying irradiances at a constant temperature. With the continuous depletion of global fossil energy, optimizing the energy structure has become the focus of attention of all countries. With the support of policy and finance, renewable energy occupies an important position in the energy structure of the USA. Being able to predict the trend of renewable energy consumption in advance plays a vital role in economic development and policymaking. Aiming at the small and changeable annual data of renewable energy consumption in the USA, a fractional delay discrete model of variable weight buffer operator based on grey wolf optimizer is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the variable weight buffer operator method is used to preprocess the data, and then, a new model is constructed by using the discrete modeling method and the concept of fractional delay term. The parameter estimation and time response formula of the new model are deduced, and it is proved that the new model combined with the variable weight buffer operator satisfies the new information priority principle of the final modeling data. The grey wolf optimizer is used to optimize the order of the new model and the weight of the variable weight buffer operator. Based on the renewable energy consumption data of solar energy, total biomass energy and wind energy in the field of renewable energy, the grey prediction model is established. The results show that the model has better prediction accuracy, adaptability and stability than the other five models mentioned in this paper. According to the forecast results, the consumption of solar and wind energy in the USA will increase incrementally in the coming years, while the consumption of biomass will decrease year by year. This paper aims to provide a model that combines reconfiguration with Unit Commitment (UC) and analytically examine Storage Capacity Increment Effects (SCIEs) in Micro-Grid (MG) operation. The case study includes batteries as the storage system and a conventional 10-bus MG with Wind Turbine (WT) and Micro-Turbines (MTs) as energy sources. The load demand and energy estimation of the Wind Unit (WU) with respect to wind speed changes are considered uncertain parameters. Additionally, a newly introduced algorithm and an objective function based on MG's day-ahead benefit are employed to tackle the problem. According to Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS), a few scenarios are created for modeling uncertainties, and the MG's optimal operation is examined under these situations. This study is based on two cases: the first examines the MG's scheme with just one battery, and the second investigate SCIEs. This paper seeks to maximize MG's benefit and optimize power exchange with increasing storage capacity. This paper presents an analysis of the instability of the electricity generation of renewable energy sources (RESs), specifically Digital Twins of RESs. The first part deals with the analysis of RES electricity generation around the world and Ukraine. The following chapter describes features of functioning power grids in modern conditions in Ukraine and ways to ensure the balance reliability in the power system for conditions of high-grade RES integration. The rapid increase in electricity generation RESs causes control problems of distributed power supply in the power grid. A mathematical model of the parameter controls in normal mode electric power systems for conditions with high integration of RESs is proposed in the second part. The study investigates components of the optimality criterion at the control of normal mode parameters of the electric power system with RESs. In general, digital transformation helps decarbonize the energy supply, decrease dependency on fossil fuels, and integrate renewables into power systems. A model Digital Twin (DT) of a photovoltaic system, or an exact 3D visualization, analyzing the accumulator system depending on load and generation, are presented. The problems of Digital Twin are very widely discussed, but many papers and studies are general without any practical implementations. The main part of this paper focuses on research and deals with daily electricity generation from different kinds of RESs, namely mini-hydropower stations, photovoltaic power stations, and wind power stations. Measured data of electricity generation from photovoltaic power plants, wind power plants, and mini-hydropower plants and obtained meteorological factors were used for the calculation of Spearman's, Kendall's, and Pearson's correlation rank coefficients. The main contribution of this research is to determine the main metrological factors for each kind of studied RES. In the future, it will help to decide the task of forecasting power generation more presciently. Additionally, the presented model of DT RESs allows the installation and operation of grids with higher efficiency, because it can help to predict all influences, from shading up to the optimization of the battery storage system. In a power system with a high proportion of renewable energy, sudden increases in wind power or photovoltaic output can lead to huge challenges, such as difficulties in accommodating excess renewable energy and imbalances between supply and demand on the grid. As an important adjustable resource on the demand side, air conditioning load is a flexible load for realizing output consumption. In this paper, a heterogeneous air conditioning load regulation strategy for renewable energy consumption is proposed. Each air conditioning load regulation quantity is obtained based on the day-ahead dispatching mode. Then, the temperature setting value, rated power, and duty cycle are selected as the indexes. The load regulation sequence is obtained by the entropy weight method. Finally, the load regulation time of each air conditioning load is obtained based on the constraint of the quantity of loads during the possible adjustment time. The simulation analysis shows that the temperature regulation strategy presented in this paper can effectively reduce the power fluctuations of air conditioning loads, while ensuring that users with lower temperature settings are selected in the adjustment process. Conventional energy resource problems made power system planners apply more renewable energy sources (RESs) in the power system. RESs have a significant impact on fulfilling the world's energy demand, protecting the environment at least in the exploration phase, and providing energy reliability as well as security for the new generation of power grids. In this regard, wind power generation is considered a promising solution. However, by increasing the share of wind power generation units in the power sector, some challenges, such as voltage problems, transient stability, increasing system losses, and line congestions can occur. Consequently, an alternative solution is required to accelerate wind power units' connections to the grid by preventing the problems caused by the penetration of wind power. In this regard, Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems (FACTS) devices can play an important role while they can improve power grid dynamic performance. This paper presents a review of the optimization techniques applied to accelerate the penetration of wind energy by exploiting FACTS devices. The topic identifies the objectives and optimization formulations, as well as schemes and models available in the published literature. This survey gives noteworthy insights to the researchers to cover available solutions in these regards. The literature in the field is summarized in different aspects, such as FACTS technology, objective functions, constraints, optimization methods, planning or operation purposes, and load flow types. At each aspect, a comparison is derived to recognize the most important issues. The result of the review is the finding of future work and contributions which can be done in the field of wind energy integration acceleration using FACTS devices and the output of the paper can be used as a guide for researchers to find a new path for research in this area. In the present energy scenario, wind energy is the fastest-growing renewable energy resource on the globe. However, wind-energy-based generation systems are also associated with increasing demands for power quality and active power control in the power network. With the advancements in power-electronics-based technology and its use in non-conventional energy conversion systems, it has witnessed tremendous growth in wind energy conversion systems (WECSs). At the same time, integrating wind farms into the grid system also results in many power quality issues in the power system that involve these renewable energy sources feeding power networks. This paper reports the effectiveness of grid-connected doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)-based WECS with a battery energy storage system (BESS) under variable wind conditions. In this study, a rotor side converter (RSC) is controlled to achieve the optimal torque for a given maximal wind power. The control scheme is simulated using MATLAB for a 2 MW-rated DFIG used in a WECS. Additionally, in this paper, a new fraction order proportional integral derivative (FOPID) controller is introduced into the system's RSC, and its performance is also observed. The BESS technique is used with a DC link to improve the overall performance of the DFIG-based WECS under different wind conditions. To control the BESS, a proportional integral (PI) controller is introduced to increase the charging and discharging rates. Two models are developed in MATLAB/Simulink: one model is a basic model, and other model is equipped with a BESS and a PI controller in the BESS. The multi‐microgrids operation can greatly improve the proportion of renewable energy integration and power reliability of rural microgrids through energy trading between adjacent microgrids. Therefore, this paper proposes an optimization method for the low‐carbon economic operation of rural microgrids which contain wind power, photovoltaic, biogas, and other common rural renewable energy sources. Using the asymmetric Nash bargaining model which can form the non‐linear energy mapping function to quantify the bargaining power of each microgrid to establish the multi‐microgrids energy trading model, and the non‐convex trading optimization problem is equivalently transformed into two convex optimization subproblems, subproblem 1 is microgrids alliance costs containing the emission costs, and subproblem 2 is cooperative benefits distribution. Then, the accelerated Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) method is used to solve subproblem 1 and subproblem 2, respectively, and the privacy of transaction information is also protected. Increasing demand for power generation, slow lessening of fossil fuel resources, and carbon footprint enhancement because of their continuous maltreatment have increased the demand for different energy sources for energy generation. Aerodynamic performance of wind turbine governs the overall energy efficiency, which has been an ever-lasting research focus in the field of wind power technology. Due to the coupling effect among the highly complex environmental and structural uncertainties, the practical aerodynamic performance may not be reliably predicted. To aggravate, this performance declines with time in service. It is of great significance to efficiently and reliably assess the impact of uncertain factors and reduce these influences on wind turbine aerodynamic performance. This paper establishes an uncertainty analysis and robustness optimization model of wind turbine aerodynamic performance considering wind speed and pitch angle error uncertainties. An approach combined the no-instrusive probabilistic collocation method is used, and the blade element momentum theory is applied to quantify influences of variable uncertainties on NREL 5 MW wind turbine aerodynamic performance. The optimization target is to reduce the sensitivity of wind turbine aerodynamic performance to uncertainties, as well as maintain capture power. The results show that the wind turbine aerodynamic and mechanical performance will be greatly affected with uncertain factors. By optimizing and adjusting wind turbine rotor speed and blade pitch angle, the wind turbine rotor power and thrust load variation can be reduced to 9.14% and 9.36%, respectively, which indeed reduces the uncertainty effects. In order to solve the collaborative optimization scheduling of multi‐microgrid under the high penetration rate of new energy, this paper considered the energy interaction between micro‐grids in multi‐microgrid and the relationship between new energy consumption and electricity cost, constructed a collaborative scheduling model considering both micro‐grid load and main grid wind and optical energy storage, proposed objective function based on economic cost, and improved Genetic Algorithm (GA). The elite thought and catastrophe thought are used to optimize the selection operation, and the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to optimize the mutation operation. Furthermore, three scenarios were selected to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model and the improved GA. The results show that the proposed model can ensure the stable operation of the multi‐microgrid system with a high proportion of new energy access and reduce the operation cost. This paper examines the relationship between primary energy consumption and economic growth in Greece for the period 1965-2019 by using annual data. The main objective of this study is to investigate whether there is a causal relationship between economic growth and energy consumption. In terms of econometric specificity, ordinary least squares regression (OLS) is used to determine the model in the first step, while the vector self-regulating model (VAR) and the Wald test are used to detect causality. The study differs from the literature in terms of examining the individual energy sources. Total primary energy consumption in Greece is examined in relation to economic growth and individual energy sources separately. According to the results, primary energy consumption in Greece has a big impact on economic growth. The energy derived from non-renewable energy sources has the highest consumption rates. Causality tests show that there is a causal relationship between wind energy consumption and the GDP per capita while causality is observed from the GDP per capita to oil, coal, solar and hydropower consumption. The wind abandonment phenomenon of cogeneration units in regional integrated energy systems (RIES) under the operation mode of "heat for electricity" and the improvement in the operation efficiency of the energy storage system under a low-temperature environment are problems that need to be solved urgently. To this end, a regional integrated energy system optimization scheduling method based on fine energy storage and wind power consumption is proposed in the paper. First, a fine energy storage model more adapted to a low-temperature environment is established on the power side to accurately simulate the actual working state of the energy storage components and quantify the uncertainty of the wind power output using the conditional value-at-risk (CVaR) theory. Then, a combined heat and power demand response mechanism is introduced on the load side to reduce the peak-to-valley difference in the heat and power loads, it is realized to promote the system's consumption of wind power without increasing the transmission power of the contact line. Finally, the example is solved on the MATLAB platform with the objective of minimizing the total cost of the RIES optimal dispatch. The simulation results show that the proposed model is not only more adaptable to a low-temperature environment compared with the traditional model but also reduces the overall cost of the system by 2.58% while realizing the complete consumption of wind power. Given the difficulties in measuring the effective wind speed of wind turbine during the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) process and the unknown nature of the system, this paper proposes a neural network super-twisted sliding mode control (NNST-SMC) method with echo state network (ESN) wind speed estimation. The rotor speed and electromagnetic power are taken as ESN inputs, and the effective wind speed is estimated through the inverse model of wind turbine dynamics. The super-twisted algorithm (STA) can effectively improve the chattering problem of the traditional sliding mode control (SMC) system. The RBF neural network is introduced to compensate for disturbance and uncertainty characteristics of the wind turbine. The adoption of renewable energies such as solar power, heat pumps, and wind power is on the rise, and individuals have started generating energy using their own solar panels. In recent years, many blockchain-based energy trading schemes have been proposed. However, existing schemes cannot fully address privacy issues and dependency on energy brokers during energy trading. In this paper, we propose a privacy-preserving authentication scheme for blockchain-based energy traders. An energy user encrypts a request message through lightweight attribute-based encryption, and only energy sellers who have proper attribute keys can decrypt and conduct further processes with the energy user. We analyze the proposed scheme using both informal and formal methods, such as the BAN logic, AVISPA simulation tool, and RoR model. Output instability is one of the important constraints limiting the large-scale application of renewable energy. The development of comprehensive energy systems can effectively improve energy utilization efficiency, but there is still a problem of randomness in renewable energy output. The paper conducts research on the uncertainty of distributed energy output and load, constructs a comprehensive energy system optimization model that takes into account the robustness of bilevel programming, and solves the model using the firefly algorithm. The calculation results show that optimizing uncertainty can significantly reduce the actual operating costs of the system, with a maximum reduction of 14.43%. It is a known fact that fossil fuels will be depleted in the near future owing to the negative effects on the environment. The number of applications using renewable energy sources instead of fossil fuels to obtain energy has increased significantly. It is aimed to provide effective energy production with the proposed rotary energy system (RES) installation for regions with high wind energy and solar energy potential. In the paper, the design, manufacturing process, installation, and output power prediction of a novel RES are presented. In the proposed system, a hybrid system whose energy is derived from solar and wind energy is envisaged. The electrical characteristics of the solar panels with dimensions 140 × 60 × 2.5 mm mounted on the prototype are 6 V 100 mA. The prototype has been tested at different rotation speeds to evaluate the effect of wind energy. Moreover, the output power prediction based on Feedforward Neural Network (FFNN) and Particle Swarm Optimization trained Feedforward Neural Network (PSO-FFNN) has been performed with the data obtained from the prototype system. The three quantitative standard statistical performance evaluation measures, root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and Theil's inequality coefficient (TIC) are employed to compare the performances of these architectures. FFNN architecture, the RMSE, MAPE and TIC values are calculated as 0.0690, 0.0455 and 0.0278, respectively. For the PSO-FFNN architecture, RMSE, MAPE and TIC values are 0.0530, 0.0383, and 0.0213, respectively. The utilization of wind energy requires a careful study of its characteristics. Statistical distributions are used to evaluate the wind characteristics, such as speed, and also wind power potential. In this paper, in addition to commonly used parametric probability distributions (Generalized Rayleigh (GR), Gamma (G), Gumbel (Gu), Exponentiated Weibull (EW)), we propose and evaluate more recent distributions (Exponentiated Half-Logistic (EHL), Exponentiated Half-Normal (EHN), Skew Logistic (SKL), Generalized Extreme Value (GEV)) in order to increase the accuracy of wind speed calculation in future studies. To study the wind condition, mean daily wind speed and direction data (For 7 meteorological stations in northern Iran from 2007 to 2017) were received and analyzed. Then, the wind energy potential was calculated using the results of accurate models. Based on the results, the distributions of (G, EHL, EHN, EW, and GR) were fitted to the data. The performance of models varied from station to station. However, the EHN distribution gave the smallest value of the Kolmogorov–Smirnov statistic in most situations, indicating a good fit of this distribution to the total data. Accordingly, this distribution is suitable for fitting wind speed data, because the values of the measured wind speed are in compliance with the model-based estimates. Therefore, we recommend this distribution as a suitable model for simulation, calculation, and other criteria for modeling wind condition in similar areas. The utilization of wind energy has become increasingly popular in the United States and many European countries due to its abundant nature and optimized design. While existing wind turbines are predominantly large-scale and not suitable for standalone or distributed power production, Lubbock County in West Texas offers a diverse range of renewable energy options to meet its energy needs. The region relies heavily on utility-scale wind energy sources to supply power to the Texas Grid, replacing conventional fossil fuel-based systems. Currently, standalone solar PV systems are the preferred choice for renewable energy generation. However, West Texas possesses an ample supply of wind energy that can be harnessed to establish a microgrid and provide standalone power to rural communities. Distributed wind energy offers localized power generation, reducing transmission losses and grid strain, while conventional wind farms require long-distance transmission, leading to efficiency gains. Summary: Since the depletion of fossil fuels, the world has started to rely heavily on renewable sources of energy. With every passing year, our dependency on renewable sources of energy is increasing exponentially. As a result, complex and hybrid generation systems are being developed to meet the energy demands and ensure energy security in a country. The continual improvement in the technology and an effort toward the provision of uninterrupted power to the end‐users is strongly dependent on an effective and fault‐resilient Operation & Maintenance (O&M) system. Ingenious algorithms and techniques are hence been introduced aiming to minimize equipment and plant downtime. Efforts are being made to develop robust prognostic maintenance systems that can identify the faults before they occur. To this aim, complex Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms are being used to increase the overall efficiency of these prognostic maintenance systems. This paper provides an overview of the predictive/prognostic maintenance frameworks reported in the literature. We pay a particular focus to the approaches, challenges, including data‐related issues, such as the availability of quality data and data auditing, feature engineering, interpretability, and security issues. Being a key aspect of ML‐based solutions, we also discuss some of the commonly used publicly available datasets in the domain. In order to accommodate more intermittent renewable energy in coal-dominated power systems, conventional thermal power plants need to improve their operational flexibility to balance the energy system at all times. However, flexible operation of coal-fired power plants could reduce energy efficiency and increase CO2 and pollutant emission, so it is important to consider environmental implications and optimize the dispatch of wind and coal power units in the system. In this paper, based on the output profile of wind power, a wind power peak (T, H) simulation model based on Gaussian distribution was established. Using a high-proportion wind power wind–coal combined base load power generation system as an example, the economical and environmentally friendly unit operation based on different wind power penetration was studied by simulation, and the decision strategy was established. Wind energy curtailment boundary was determined with power generation cost, energy consumption, CO2 and pollutant emissions as decision targets, respectively. Weekly scale results indicate that incorporating energy consumption and pollutant emissions into consideration will lead to different decision-making strategies compared with only targeting minimizing wind curtailment. This paper established a decision-making model of wind–coal system operation strategy based on economy and environmental criteria. Renewable energy is regarded as an effective method to alleviate environmental pollution and accelerate the green transition in China. This paper systematically investigates the impact of financial inclusion on renewable energy demand by using S-GMM model based on provincial data in the green finance era. This paper also analyzes the asymmetry, heterogeneity, and mediating mechanism in the nexus between financial inclusion and renewable energy demand, and highlights the following findings: (1) Improved financial inclusion can promote renewable energy development in China and present the characteristics of green finance; (2) the impact of financial inclusion on renewable energy demand is asymmetric and heterogeneous; specifically, this impact is much higher in northern China and the regions with higher renewable energy development; and (3) wind and photovoltaic power generation are effective mediators between financial inclusion and renewable energy industry, while the mediation effects of hydropower and nuclear power are not significant. New evidence in this study is presented for the achievement of green transition in China, as well as practical policy implications for improving financial inclusion and increasing renewable energy consumption. To boost data spaces and benefit from the great opportunities that they present, data sovereignty must be provided by Distributed Usage Control (DUC). Assuming that DUC will be managed by implementing and enforcing policies, notable efforts have already been undertaken in the context of Access Control (AC) regarding policy analysis due to the impact of low-quality policies on security. In this regard, this paper proposes that policy analysis in the DUC context should be understood as an extension of the AC, which is further affected by other challenging features, chief among which are context-aware control and extended control through action requirements. This paper presents a novel Context-Aware Policy Analysis (CAPA) algorithm for detecting inconsistencies and redundancies for DUC policies by supporting a large set of heterogeneous conditions. In this regard, the dependent relationship of conditions is formulated which will lead to more efficient conflict detection. By implementing this concept, a novel tree structure that combines a resource and a policy structure is presented to search for and compare relevant rules from policies. In this paper, stochastic synchronization of the wind and solar energy using energy storage system based on real-time pricing in the day-ahead market along with taking advantage of the potential of demand response programming has been analyzed. Since renewable energies, loads and prices are uncertain, and planning is based on real-time pricing, the optimal biding proposition considers the wind power, solar system, and energy storage system. Uncertainty is addressed to solve the bidding strategy in a day-ahead market for optimal wind and PV power and optimal charging for energy storage. Batteries are the most promising device to compensate for the fluctuations of wind and photovoltaic power plants to mitigate their uncertainty. In general, using MILP is a suitable approach to address uncertainty as long as a linear formulation is acceptable for modeling either with continuous variables or integer ones. By setting some scenarios to formulate market prices, imbalance of energy, wind and solar system, the uncertainty problems could be easily solved by MILP solver. The model created enables the retailer to realize the potentials of the demand response program and exploit high technical and economic advantages. To ensure fair prices, a set of regulating constraints is considered for sales prices imposed by the regulation committees. A model is presented to optimize the electricity trading strategy in the electricity market, considering the uncertainty in the wholesale market price and the demand level. The retailer considered in this paper is a distribution company that is the owner and operator of the networks and operates under real-time pricing regulations. To model demand response, the elasticity coefficient is used. The proposed solution is implemented on a standard 144-bus sample network using a nonlinear integer programming method. The presented method results provide helpful and valuable information based on the optimal method proposed by the retailers considering the demand response program and real-time pricing system. In recent years, with the continuous development of new energy, how to efficiently use wind energy has received more and more market attention. Due to cost advantages, the development of small wind turbines is accelerating. Among them, the design and research of the airfoil design and research of the lift vertical axis wind turbine has matured, but because of the aerodynamic characteristics of the lift airfoil structure, it is impossible to start itself at low wind speed, resulting in the waste of low wind speed energy. Although the drag wind turbine has good self-starting performance, the wind energy utilization efficiency in the high-speed state is inefficient. Each has its own unique shortcomings, which directly affects the marketization of small wind turbines. In order to solve these problems, this paper presents a drag-lift hybrid type wind turbine structure based on an NACA0018 symmetrical airfoil, which can adaptively change the blade shape. This design can keep the blade in the drag shape under static and low speed conditions, and adaptively change the lift shape with the increase of speed. In addition, through the research method of CFD numerical simulation combined with physical experiments, the proposed wind turbine design is studied and analyzed from multiple angles. At the same time, the "6DOF + dynamic grid" setting is used to study the influence of the opening angle factor of the drag-lift hybrid blade on the self-starting performance, and the study shows that the design of the drag-lift hybrid blade proposed in this paper has a higher self-starting torque and lower starting wind speed than the traditional lifting blade, and it is observed that the drag-lift hybrid blade has the best self-starting performance when the opening angle of the blade is 80°. At the same time, the problem of switching the blade morphology of the drag-lift hybrid blade is also analyzed, along with how to use the spring to control all this adaptively. In order to better analyze the advantages of the drag-lift hybrid design proposed in this paper, a wind tunnel test was also carried out using the physical model, and the relationship between the leaf tip speed ratio and the wind energy utilization rate was obtained, which intuitively showed the improvement of the wind energy utilization rate of the drag-lift hybrid design compared with the traditional lift blade. Carbon emission flow is an effective tool to obtain carbon emission distribution in power systems, which can guide the active carbon reductions of consumers through proper incentive schemes. With the increasing penetration of renewable energy, the existing single-valued carbon emission flow model based on deterministic forecasted power outputs cannot describe the impacts of renewable energy uncertainties on carbon flows. Therefore, this paper mainly focuses on the assessment of the probabilistic carbon emission flow through the power systems considering the impacts of load and renewable energy uncertainties. In this paper, the probabilistic carbon emission flow (PCEF) is innovatively proposed. With the PCEF, consumers can make better energy use plans considering their own risk appetites for carbon emission payment. Firstly, the impact factors of the PCEF are modeled, including load and renewable energy uncertainties and integrated carbon intensity of thermal plants. The uncertainties of load, wind power and photovoltaics are modeled based on a p-box method while the uncertainty of hydropower is modeled based on the multi-state model. Besides, the integrated carbon intensity model of thermal plants are proposed considering the carbon intensity variations during the operating, start-up, and shut-down stages. Furthermore, the probabilistic carbon emission evaluation framework is proposed to assess the probabilistic carbon distribution. In this framework, novel probabilistic carbon indices are defined to precisely characterize the carbon emission situation with probabilistic representations. A solution method based on an adaptive interval point estimation (AIPEM) algorithm is proposed to efficiently solve the developed evaluation problem. Tests on an IEEE-30 node system, and a real provincial power system in China validate the effectiveness and application of the proposed model. Deep Learning (DL) models, such as Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Units (GRU), have been widely used to predict the intermittency of wind power; however, the non-linear activation functions and backpropagation mechanisms in DL models increase computational complexity and energy consumption. This paper proposes a prediction model based on Green Learning (GL) to reduce energy consumption. The proposed GL model replaces the feature extraction of activation functions with a hybrid feature extraction approach combining categorical and numerical features. We also employ cluster centroids and quantile regression forest for classification/regression to eliminate the need for backpropagation in optimizing hyperparameters. Using Taiwan as a case study, this paper evaluates the risk of fluctuations in regional wind power generation in 2030. In simulations, the proposed GL model achieved excellent accuracy with energy consumption significantly lower than that of DL models. Floating offshore wind turbines, as large equipment for deep-sea wind energy utilization, must be carefully studied for their aerodynamic performances under platform motions. In experiments, the model wind turbine designed by the traditional thrust coefficient similarity is usually insufficient for unsteady aerodynamic reproductions of the prototype wind turbine. In this paper, a dynamic aerodynamic similarity criterion based on the mapping of the optimal tip speed ratio is introduced for wind tunnel model tests, and a model wind turbine is designed using the NREL 5-MW prototype wind turbine. In this case, to avoid the over-height model tower aroused in pitch motions, a method of equivalent surge motions instead of pitch motions is proposed and validated for feasibility. Then dynamic aerodynamic similarities under different pitch amplitudes and frequencies are validated by the Unsteady Blade Element Momentum theory. Results indicate that temporal and spatial characteristics and hysteresis effects of thrust and power coefficients all maintain better similarity with those of the prototype wind turbine than those of the model wind turbine designed by the traditional criterion. Offshore Wind Power Systems (OWPS) offer great energy and environmental advantages, but also pose significant Operation and Maintenance (O&M) challenges. In this survey, we analyze these challenges and propose some optimization strategies and technologies for OWPS comprehensively. The existing literature review mainly focuses on a certain field of offshore wind power O&M, but lacks a comprehensive introduction to offshore wind power. We consider the energy efficiency, reliability, safety, and economy of OWPS from various aspects, such as offshore wind and wave energy utilization, offshore wind turbine components, and wind power operation parameters, and compare them with onshore wind power systems. We suggest that OWPS can benefit from advanced design optimization, digital twin, monitoring and forecasting, fault diagnosis, and other technologies to enhance their O&M performance. This paper proposes a hybrid model for wind power prediction based on complementary ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (CEEMDAN), sample entropy (SE), bidirectional long short-term memory network (BiLSTM), and Markov chain (MC). First, CEEMDAN is used to decompose the wind power series into a series of subsequences at various frequencies, and then SE is employed to reconstruct the wind power series subsequences to reduce the model's complexity. Second, the long short-term memory (LSTM) network is optimized, the BiLSTM neural network prediction method is used to predict each reconstruction component, and the results of the different component predictions are superimposed to acquire the total prediction results. Finally, MC is used to correct the model's total prediction results to increase the accuracy of the predictions. Experimental validation with measured data from wind farms in a region of Xinjiang, and computational results demonstrate that the proposed model can better fit wind power data than other prediction models and has greater prediction accuracy and generalizability for enhancing wind power prediction performance.
