Owing to the vital role of heat exchangers in process industries, several researchers have shown interest in enhancing its performance. In recent decades, Nano fluids are emerging to expand the thermal efficiency of heat exchangers on top of base fluids. This research focuses on enhancement of the heat transfer of the shell and tube heat exchanger equipped with flower and doughnut baffles using TiO2-water nanofluid. The properties of Heat Transfer of TiO2-Water Nanofluid was studied with flower and doughnut baffles equipped in shell and tube heat exchanger for various flow conditions and the comparison was made with base fluid. In the shell and tube heat exchanger, water based TiO2 nanofluid with 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.15% and 0.2% volume fractions were used as working fluids for different flowrates of nanofluids. The temperature of the hot fluid was also varied as 60°C, 70°C and 80°C to study its influence on heat transfer rate. The result shows, the overall heat transfer coefficient increased by enlarging the percentage volume concentration of TiO2-water nanofluid and the hot fluid temperature. Atherosclerosis has become one of the most common health problems in today's lifestyle. Our focus is on Coronary Artery Stenosis. Coronary Artery Stenosis is caused by narrowing of arteries, when there is formation of plaque on the walls of Coronary Artery. If not diagnosed at the early stage, the blockage could advance and might lead to stroke or even death. To diagnose the severity of stenosis, Fractional flow Reserve (FFR) value is taken into consideration. FFR value represents the amount of flow that could be achieved despite the presence of stenosis in the artery. Traditionally, FFR is measured using a specialized probe inserted through a catheter tube, and the technique is expensive. In our proposed work we tend to compute the FFR value through the non-invasive method by utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). FFR value could be calculated by the ratio of distal and proximal pressures to the stenosis. Improved Diagnostic Accuracy can be obtained by using the Computational Fluid Dynamics method. This could help the physician determine whether the patient requires angioplasty or not. Due to environment and sustainability issues, this century has witnessed a global attention in green technology in the field of materials science through the development of composites. So, natural fiber reinforced composites have become important field of green composite. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the effect of sisal fiber reinforcement in epoxy composites with random orientation. Sisal fiber is abundant, low cost, degradable and good strength fiber. Sisal fiber is separated from sisal leaf using suitable techniques and those fibers surface are modified by chemical pre-treatment method (alkali treatment5%NaOH solution). Pre-treated fiber with constant length and volume is reinforced in epoxy matrix. Pure epoxy and sisal fiber reinforced epoxy composites are prepared by hand lay-up method. The prepared composites are tested as per ASTM standard. Tensile strength, compression strength and water absorption test are examined for the composite. The properties of the prepared composites are compared with pure epoxy. Experimental results show that the fiber reinforced composites showed enhanced mechanical properties compared with plain epoxy composites. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
