The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between psychosis and body care. The experience report method was adopted, based on a work performed in a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS). Delusional contents may hamper health promotion. There is an important rate of clinical comorbidities in people diagnosed with chronic mental disorders, due to factors such as smoking, poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, and medication side effects. Mental Health is a clinic of subjects, of singularities that need to exist and coexist in a collective, which requires creativity and sensitivity that does not fit into protocols. Introduction: Given the current food and nutritional problems of the Brazilian population, food and nutrition education (EAN) is consolidated as an important health promotion strategy. Objective: Create a memory game with a playful approach as an EAN strategy to enhance learning about healthy and appropriate eating for elementary school children. Materials and methods: This is a qualitative development study. The research was carried out in September and October 2020, in the center of studies in food and nutrition located in the Nutritional Assessment laboratory of the Nutrition Course of a private university in São Luís-MA. The research was divided into three stages: 1st selection of information: in order to select the sources that best suit the game's proposal. 2nd choice of illustrations: a search was carried out for images that could complement the message of the instrument to be created, 3rd development of the game: an attempt was made to develop a game with language suitable for elementary school children, colorful and attractive. Results: A memory game was developed with a playful approach to enhance learning about healthy and appropriate eating for elementary school children aged 9 to 11 years. Conclusion: Carrying out EAN activities with a playful approach for elementary school children serves as a strategic tool, as play brings children closer to information about nutrition and healthy eating, as well as enhances learning, making them autonomous as to their food choices. Percentage of body fat and associated factors in psychosocial attention center users Introduction: Crack users have a different body composition when they are undergoing treatment and/or abstinence from drugs. Objective: To evaluate the percentage of body fat and its associated factors in users of a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Drugs (CAPS AD) in São Luís - MA. Material and methods: Retrospective and analytical study, carried out with medical records of adult male users, attended from 2015 to 2017. The data were analyzed in the Stata® program version 16.0 through Poisson regression. The outcome variable was the percentage of body fat, calculated according to the body adiposity index (BPI). Results: Of the 120 medical records analyzed, 73.4% belonged to the age group of 20 to 39 years, 80% lived without a partner and 49.1% had complete or incomplete primary education. Regarding the IAC, 18.3% were above average. Living with a partner (OR: 3.32; CI= 1.07-10.2) was a risk factor for CAI. Discussion: The BAI is an index that allows diagnosing excess body composition, since the BMI is divergent when defining the nutritional profile of the Brazilian population. Objectives: to investigate the association between prepregnancy body mass index (BMI) and newborns' (NB) BMI. Methods: cohort study with 1,365 pregnant women and their newborns from the BRISA survey (Brazilian Ribeirão Preto and São Luís Birth Cohort Studies) in São Luís-MA. Prepregnancy BMI was self-reported, and newborns' BMI was estimated using the weight and length measured at birth. A directed acyclic graph (DAG) was developed to identify the adjustment variables. The association between the prepregnancy BMI and newborns' BMI were analyzed using multiple linear and Poisson regression with robust variance estimation. Results: NBs had 13.4±1.7kg/m2 average BMI at birth. In the linear analysis, we observed that as the prepregnancy BMI increases, the NBs BMI also increases (ß=0.07; CI95%=0.05-0.09;p<0.001). Newborns of mothers with prepregnancy overweight were 3.58 times more likely to be overweight. Conclusion: prepregnancy BMI can affect newborn's BMI early. Thus, women planning to become pregnant should consider conducting nutritional planning to maintain or obtain a healthy weight to minimize the risk of overweight for the newborn. Objective: To identify the prevalence of symptoms of postpartum depression (PPD) and its associated factors in women attended at two public maternity. Methods: Cross-sectional and analytical study, developed from january to may 2018, with women accompanied at two public maternity in São Luís-MA. A questionnaire with socioeconomic, demographic and clinical variables and the Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale was used. A Poisson regression model was performed using the Stata® 15.0 statistical program. Results: Of the 156 women interviewed, 54.11% had symptoms of PPD. It was observed that being 26 to 34 years old (PR: O.60; CI: 0.41-0.89), schooling from 5 to 8 years (PR: O.59; CI: 0.40-0.87), monthly income of less than one minimum wage (RP: O.66; CI: 0.49-0.90) and more than one minimum wage (RP: O.32; CI: 0.20-0.53 ), start to work with more than 18 years of age (PR: O.76; CI: 0.55-1.04) and not be hypertensive (PR: O.66; CI: 0.48-0.89) have been associated with symptoms of PPD. Conclusion: These data call attention to the need for a closer look by the health team regarding the factors associated with the symptoms of PPD, as these can significantly contribute to the health impact of the puerperal woman and her children. Introduction: The inadequacy of the maternal nutritional status can favor the development of gestational complications that can directly influence the health conditions of the fetus and the mother. Objective: To verify the prevalence of overweight and factors associated with the nutritional status of pregnant women attended at a philanthropic maternity hospital in São Luís - MA. Material and methods: This was a cross-sectional and analytical study, carried out at the gynecology outpatient clinic. 170 pregnant women aged 20 to 39 years participated. A questionnaire was applied with socioeconomic and demographic, lifestyle, reproductive and anthropometric variables. Multivariate analysis was performed using the Poisson regression method. Results: Of the 170 pregnant women evaluated, 88.2% were overweight. Excess weight was associated with women who lived with a partner (OR: 4.13; 95% CI 1.15 - 14.8) and those who were in the second gestational trimester (OR: 4.03; 95% CI 1.02-15.83). Discussion: The literature points out that pre-pregnancy excess weight, excessive weight gain during pregnancy and multiparity are risk factors for the development of excess weight. Conclusion: Identifying the factors that are associated with excess weight during pregnancy is of great relevance, since it allows greater attention to any other aggravating factor that can be added to these and thus early interventions are carried out in an attempt to minimize risks. Objective: To verify the prevalence of abdominal obesity and its associated factors in adolescents. Material and methods: Crosssectional and analytical study carried out in a public school in Maranhão, with 152 adolescents. Data were collected using a questionnaire with socioeconomic, demographic, lifestyle, food consumption and anthropometric variables. The dependent variable was abdominal obesity, defined by waist circumference. The Poisson regression method was performed using the Stata® version 12.0 program. Results: Of the adolescents interviewed, 56.5% were female, 39.5% were aged 17 to 19 years and 72.9% consumed soda 1 to 4 times a week. According to the BMI, 5.3% were overweight. About anthropometric indicators, 11.1% and 31.3% were at risk for cardiovascular diseases according to the waist / height ratio and neck circumference, respectively. The prevalence of abdominal obesity was 14.6%. Being aged 17 to 19 years (IRR=2.44; CI=1.16-5.13), being a smoker (IRR=4.18; CI=2.33-0.00), consuming soda (IRR=0.43; CI=0.20-0.92) and energy drinks (IRR=2.49; CI = 1.00-6.19) 1 to 4 times a week were associated with abdominal obesity. Discussion: The literature shows the association of smoking and consumption of drinks rich in added sugars with abdominal obesity. Conclusion: There is a need to adopt measures to assess, identify and monitor the nutritional status of schoolchildren, to promote early nutritional interventions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
