The article discusses a clinical practice guideline for the diagnosis and management of testosterone deficiency syndrome (TDS) in men also known as late-onset hypogonadism. The guideline has been developed with support from the Canadian Men's Health Foundation. Topics covered include the role of testosterone therapy in TDS associated with alterations in body composition and metabolic issues, a communication plan to increase awareness of TDS, and the controversy over TDS management.
