This article focuses on the analysis of Swedish pension system. Adverse demographic developments and the unsustainability of the current system have finally pushed the reform of the pension system onto the political agenda. The current Czech pension system is guaranteed by the state and is obligatory for everyone who is economically active, and works via a precisely stipulated levy to provide continuous income into the system. It encompasses a relatively high level of social solidarity, which also means a high level of redistribution of incomes to beneficiaries.
