This text presents an empirical characterization of a resistance dynamic to the presence of garbage in the public space and the contamination currently seen in a peri-central neighborhood of Santiago de Chile. The focus of the analysis is placed on the street writing, understanding that the inhabitants, through these, face this problem, activating new dynamics of territorialization and generating new ways of providing intelligibility to the neighborhood and to the subjects living there. The information was generated through a systemic listing of the neighborhood's street writing, its photographic record and geo-referencing, to make a pragmatic analysis viable, both of its content and its location, based on the anthropological concepts of the exposed urban writing. The article provides a systematic understanding of the relevance of practices, usually trivialized, by which inhabitants display means of resistance to territorial and epistemic dispossession that affect the territories of the current urban capitalism. Obvious and insignificant, hanging clothes spend most of the time unnoticed in our daily wanderings. However, leaning out of the windows or floating in the wind, they are part of the urban landscape of our cities. Moreover, in its supposed insignificance, hanging clothes suggest multiple aspects of current life: restrictions and inadequacies of space; work and rest routines; social identities and community coordinations. What do we see when we see hanging clothes? Do we still see our clothes? Or do we begin to see colors, shapes, stories, intimacies? Des-save and expose our clothes can interpellate us in several ways: what do we decide to expose? What is it legitimate to make visible? What things do we hide from the scrutiny of others? In this text we inquire about how the presence of hanging clothes can be understood as a series of gestures that refer to different approaches to the materialities that make up our daily experience of the city. Gestures that link the functional with the poetic and exposed with the intimate. Inspired by the notion of Perec's "infraordinary" and based on the understanding of the importance of everyday gestures and the sociology of objects, we explore the sensitive, public and political power of hanging clothes in urban environments. Abstract\nPoints of interestDisabled people face particular additional barriers of access to health care. In this article, we explore how these barriers increase when disabled parents require medical attention for their children. Using the small story research technique, we analysed 24 interviews with disabled parents conducted as part of a qualitative-narrative study in Chile. We identified stories in which the participants describe encounters with the medical institution in which they are invisibilised and disempowered. A paternalistic and biomedical approach, which actively ignores how to interact with disabled people, prevails among healthcare staff. Disabled parents irritate the medical institution because they do not have ‘standard’ bodies and are in the position of the carers of others (their children), rather than that of people who require care. These parents develop strategies to resist the way they are treated, making extra efforts to obtain medical attention for their children.We analyze small stories where disabled parents talk about how they are treated by healthcare staff (for example, doctors and nurses).Disabled parents say that healthcare staff don’t see them and don’t think they can do things.In these stories, the healthcare staff pay more attention to the parent’s disability than to the child who needs help.Healthcare staff think of disability as something that limits a person. In this paper, we propose that fction is not only a false way of referring to the social reality or a ruse for the construction of imaginary worlds. On the contrary, we understand fctions as a human capacity highly productive in the construction and organization of the social world, a capacity widely disseminated in this world. We started giving an overview on some discussions in social sciences on the issue of fctionality. Aler that, we rescue the notions of "real fction" and "fctional expectations" to address the productive character of fction, with special emphasis on its temporary reference. We conclude by studying the social practice of "to act as if the fctional was real" to discuss its implications in one of the most productive uses that has had in contemporary Chile: the notion of "permanent kidnapping" proposed by Judge Guzman to challenge legal order established by 1978 Amnesty Luaw.
