We show that in a category with pullbacks, arbitrary sifted colimits may be constructed as filtered colimits of reflexive coequalizers. This implies that "lex sifted colimits", in the sense of Garner-Lack, decompose as Barr-exactness plus filtered colimits commuting with finite limits. We also prove generalizations of these results for k-small sifted and filtered colimits, and their interaction with k-small limits in place of finite ones, generalizing Garner's characterization of algebraic exactness in the sense of Ad'amek-Lawvere-Rosick'y. We explore the stock liquidity of Islamic banks (IBs) and matching conventional banks (CBs) in emerging economies. We find that IBs have higher stock liquidity than CBs, suggesting that investors prefer IBs' stocks and neglect what they consider to be "sin stocks" (i.e., CBs' stocks), which do not conform to their religious beliefs. We also find that the liquidity effects are particularly important for small IBs, and during the global financial crisis. This evidence is stronger in countries with less developed banking sectors and weaker bank supervision and regulation. Pressure-sensitive paint (PSP) measurement for turbine blades and vanes is often limited by the optical window and occlusion of the complex blade structure. Endoscopic PSP imaging systems have been designed for the pressure measurement of integrated inter-turbine duct (IITD) guide vanes. Notably, the objective lens of the endoscope leads to severe and dynamic image distortion. The classical direct linear transformation (DLT) algorithm does not consider nonlinear distortion, which reduces the accuracy of three-dimensional (3D) pressure field reconstruction. Therefore, in this study, a dynamic distortion correction endoscopic (DDCE) PSP technique is proposed. Real-time endoscopic images are registered to the post-calibration images through affine transform. Next, the distortion was compensated using the post-calibrated distortion and intrinsic matrix, and the relationship between the pixels on the distorted two-dimensional (2D) PSP images and 3D points on the vanes can be reliably acquired. Reprojection errors are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed technique. The maximum and average errors decrease from 30 to 4 pixels and from 4.8 pixels to 0.8 pixels, respectively. Subsequently, the DDCE PSP technique is applied for the pressure measurement on turbine guide vanes with outlet Mach number ranging from 0.65 to 0.95. Endoscopic PSP images of a structural vane and two aero-vanes are recorded, and the 2D pressure fields of the three vanes are defined through in situ calibration of the PSP. Atezolizumab can reduce immunosuppression caused by T lymphocyte apoptosis in various cancer types. The current study aimed to investigate whether this drug can also alleviate immunosuppression during sepsis. For that purpose, a C57BL/6 mouse sepsis model was generated. Mice were randomly assigned to three groups: Sham, cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) and atezolizumab groups. Atezolizumab was administered in vivo by intraperitoneal injection. The expression of programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) on neutrophils and programmed death-1 (PD-1) on T lymphocytes was evaluated, and endotoxin concentration, intestinal permeability, ileum histopathological score and tight junction protein expression were assessed to determine the extent of disease in each group. The rate of T lymphocyte apoptosis was determined to assess the effects of atezolizumab on T lymphocyte apoptosis in vivo and in vitro. Survival times were also recorded to compare mouse prognosis during sepsis. In the CLP group, the proportion of PD-L1+ neutrophils was significantly higher at 48, 72 and 96 h in blood, and at 24, 48, 72 and 96 h in bone marrow, compared with those of the sham group (P<0.05). The proportion of PD-1+ T lymphocytes was also upregulated at 72 h in blood. In the atezolizumab group, endotoxin concentration, intestinal permeability and ileum histopathological score were lower compared with those in the CLP group (P<0.05), whereas the expression of claudin-1 and occludin proteins on ileum was higher compared with that in the CLP group (P<0.05). Both in vivo and in vitro experiments indicated that the rate of T lymphocyte apoptosis following atezolizumab treatment was lower compared with that in the CLP group (P<0.05). Survival analysis demonstrated that mice in the atezolizumab group survived longer compared with those in the CLP group (P<0.05). Crater detection can provide valuable information for humans to explore the topography and understand the history of extraterrestrial planets. Due to the significantly varying scenario distributions, existing detection models trained on known labelled crater datasets are hardly effective when applied to new unlabelled planets. To address this issue, we propose a two-stage adaptive network (TAN) for semi-supervised cross-domain crater detection. Our network is built on the YOLOv5 detector, where a series of strategies are employed to enhance its cross-domain generalisation ability. In the first stage, we propose an attention-based scale-adaptive fusion (ASAF) strategy to handle objects with significant scale variances. Furthermore, we propose a smoothing hard example mining (SHEM) loss function to address the issue of overfitting on hard examples. In the second stage, we propose a sort-based pseudo-labelling fine-tuning (SPF) strategy for semi-supervised learning to mitigate the distributional differences between source and target domains. For both stages, we employ weak or strong image augmentation to suit different cross-domain tasks. Experimental results on benchmark datasets demonstrate that the proposed network can enhance domain adaptation ability for crater detection under varying scenario distributions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
