The article elaborates how Bill Gates got himself interested in computers in the U.S. He was first a user of small computers before he became a hobbyists programmer. Because of such love of programming, he drove Microsoft's focus toward developers tools and application foundation that tracked the evolving nature of the developer community. As the company continues to move forward into the ear of ubiquitous, always-on connection, its heritage of single-system thinking and Bill Gates eagerness to make things possible continues to impact the company and its customers.
